also that art is great i love it

i’ve been deliberating on when i should start this big project but i’ve decided there’s no time like the present …

this summer, i want to put together an exposé in my city on teenage lives. the main focus would be journals but i’ll be accepting other art too! i’d love for people from montreal to contribute as i’ll also be hosting talks and lil sit-down gatherings with food, candles and all that coziness on-site! HOWEVER, the goal is really to get teens from all over the world to share their stuff !

WHAT to submit:

(message me if you wanna submit some other artsy thing)

i’m really looking for personal stuff. pictures of your room or you or friends would be great. art that you made based on your own emotions is too.

WHERE to submit:

scan your journals, art, photos (or if your photos are digital, just send ‘em) and:

•email me @

•private message me on tumblr

•DM me on instagram ( @ paintedmaude )

HOW to submit:

message me with your name, city or country, your nationality/ethnicity (if you’re ok with that), commentary on your submission (if you have any) and of course the submission itself!

i’ll be going through it all as it comes in and let you know within a month if it will be chosen. don’t let that daunt you!! please PLEASE submit! i’m 17 and i want to show the world that i can pull this off but more importantly, how beautiful, creative and talented the world’s teenagers are!

•if you live in my city you can give me your journal in person and i can scan it for you and then return the original. if you entrust me with your journal i promise i will be so so careful as i understand how precious a journal is.

•IF YOU WANT TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS THAT CAN BE DONE. but please send me your city or country please just so that i can know all the places this art is coming in from!

•the summer sounds like a really long time from now but i am in college so i want to be able to take my time putting this together. submitting your art sooner than later would be much appreciated!

•if you want to know more you can always message me!

thank you so much pals, i love you 💘

Hey, I'm going to visit London soon for a couple of days. Is there anything you can recommend, like a great bookshop, cafe with wonderful cake, gallery..? Have a lovely day.

i’m not sure if you’ve been to london before, but these are some suggestions that are mostly free:

  • arts/culture/history: the british museum, victoria & albert, national portrait gallery and tate modern (modern art). (and also Ponder the ethics about how some of these things came to be here, eh. like quite famously, the Parthenon Marbles in the british museum. the acropolis museum in athens understandably isn’t very pleased about how lord elgin obtained them).
  • the imperial war museum—the WW1 gallery is quite fascinating and pretty in depth.
  • the natural history museum if you’re in the mood for something more science-y or just want to stare at giant megafauna; though i regret to inform you that that famous dinosaur statue (’Dippy’) is no longer there. it’s been replaced by a giant blue whale skeleton, however.
  • food: borough market! loads of stalls and a huge diversity of cuisines. nearest tube stop is london bridge. food in london can be quite expensive if you sit down to dine but you can buy loads of takeaways at more affordable prices. if you want stuff like nice cakes i’ve often gone to the Princi, which is in Soho. actually, the Soho generally has loads of food so it might be good to walk around there and see what you like.
  • parks: hyde park is quite nice actually, loads of war memorials around, though it’s prettier in the spring/summer. you can walk to it through st james park where you’ll pass by buckingham palace (at the correct times you can see the changing of the guard). there are also those infamous pelicans that have been caught on camera swallowing pigeons—they’ve been there since the russian ambassador brought some as gifts in like the 1600s.
  • walk around, have a good time and buy an oyster card for the public transport!

A coming star

I finally finish this fan-art (God it took me two weeks) of Star Butterfly, an awesome cartoon, that is actually talking about racism. Yeah. But there is also the super “magical girl rainbow and unicorn” thing, but it’s a great show anyway. Even the ship are well written !

If you don’t like it well, too bad, ‘cause I love it.

Also, I tried lineless and I think it look really cool. Whatch'a think ?

you liked one of my drawings and honestly that made my day because I love and admire your art so much. :>

That’s so sweet, I’m glad it makes you happy! I can’t say which one it was, because I love snooping through the septicart tag and look for nice styles. One of them was yours! Also, thank you for leaving a message and have a great Sunday!

Hello! Your art is lovely! Do you have any young lord Garmadon headcanons?? :o

Thanks anon!! And by young Garmadon I’m guessing kid Garm? I have a few.

*He was about 11 when he got bit be the Great Devourer. (Wu was 10)

*Garm had dark green/brownish eyes before turning red from the venom.

*Even though Garm and Wu had the same general hair cut (a bob), Garm’s hair was always messier and ruffled.

*Garm also loved sweets and would (occasionally) steal any Wu had.

*Garm takes after his mother rather than his father.

*He unlocked his powers after Wu did and was jealous for quite some time, but came to appreciate it cause Wu’s element balanced out his.

Hi! Sorry if you have answered this before, but what art program do you use? I'm kinda caught in-between Clip Studio and some Corels... also I LOVE YOUR ART. Seriously.. I come here when I feel down and it really helps! Have a great day and thanks for answering!!

Aaaaa!! Thank you so much!! 😭
As far as programs, I use Clip Studio! CSP’s g-pen brush is a lifesaver for me when I’m inking. If you’re doing a lot of inks and cell shading in your work, I highly recommend it.

This is dedicated to @mormoc and @percyyoulittleshit

Because I went through a funk and they sent me such sweet messages and they’re just amazing people in general and I want to thank them for being just the best girls and the best of friends a girl could ask for. I love them and I just want to say thank you guys!

After seeing the original post with designs for cowboy Hanzo and archer McCree, I couldn’t resist commissioning @theasgardiandetective for more!

I’m really gay for Hanzo and really gay for cowboys.

Thanks so much for the wonderful commission! 💕

I watched Trollhunters a little while ago and it actually inspired me to doodle again soooo here’s some angry changelings not appreciating the whole “impure” thing

complete and utter fluff, post-canon Cardassia-style.

I think it was AuroraNova who came up with anshwar, resting foreheads together as a Cardassian gesture of intimacy. At least, I first encountered it in their post-canon fic and I loved it.

Bashir’s scarf is both a concession to the fact that post-Dominion-bombardment Cardassia is a giant dustbowl, and to modesty, since the lack of neckridges makes his outfits somewhat scandalously revealing (fancanon that Julian’s collarbones are the single greatest threat to Cardassian political stability is courtesy of thehoyden’s Letters from the Northern Continent)
