Heartbreaker

“Here.”

Cas reads the label and turns the tape over in his hands. “I don’t have a cassette player,” he concludes as he holds the cassette back out to Dean.

Dean gets up from the kitchen table and pushes it back toward Cas until it’s right up against his chest. “I’ve been in that truck. There’s a cassette player.”

“Well, I don’t know how to–”

“Cas,” Dean says, leveling him with a glare. “Take the damn tape.”

Cas flips it over in his hands once again, looking down at it studiously. When he looks back up to thank Dean, he finds himself alone. He looks around the kitchen, but Dean is gone.

He tucks the cassette into the inner pocket of his coat and pats it once to feel the solid weight against his chest.

****************

“What’s that?” Sam asks jovially as he joins Cas in the library.

Cas tucks the cassette away quickly and clears his throat. “Dean gave it to me. It’s a cassette.”

Sam looks up quickly from his computer, a shocked and amused expression on his face. “A cassette? He gave you a cassette?”

Castiel squints at him. “Yes?”

Sam looks down at his keyboard, huffs a short laugh, straightens up a bit in his seat. “What’s on it?”

“It says his top 13 Led Zeppelin traxx, ‘tracks’ with two x’s,” Cas recites from memory.

“You haven’t listened to it yet?”

“I…no, I haven’t.”

Sam nods as he says, “Well, uh, you should. Dean doesn’t just–he doesn’t even let anybody touch his tapes, man. That’s…a really big deal that he gave you one.”

Cas presses his hand to his chest. “I’m not sure he meant for it to be a big deal.”

“Yeah, well.” Sam shrugs. “Listen to it, at least.”

****************

Cas is sitting in his truck, holding the tape in his hand, staring at the radio and wondering where to put the damn thing.

The passenger door creaks open and shuts. Castiel doesn’t look over.

“Oh fuck, I was wrong,” Dean says with a small laugh. “There’s no cassette player in here. C’mon.” He doesn’t wait before getting right back out and heading over to where the Impala is parked on the other end of the garage.

After a moment, Cas follows him. He hesitantly gets in on the passenger side and hands the tape over to Dean.

A couple of seconds of silence pass before the music quietly pours through the Impala’s speakers. Dean leans his head back against the seat and puts his arm up on the backrest of the bench. His fingertips brush lightly against Cas’ shoulder.

[listen]

Cas can’t quite hear all the lyrics, but he knows it’s something about being lonely and missing someone and he wants to ask Dean when he made this tape, who he had in mind when he made this tape, who this was really meant for, but the words get stuck in his throat.

As the music washes over him, he closes his eyes and leans his head back as well. After a minute, a hand brushes through his hair and Dean begins to hum.

Cas opens his eyes and looks over, and Dean’s head lolls to the side as he gives him a lazy grin.

“You like it?” Dean asks, his hand still carding through Cas’ hair.

Cas prefers his own music, but maybe he could get used to this as well. “I like it,” he concedes.

“Good,” Dean replies, his head falling back against the seat once more. “I could sit here all day.”

Cas scoots a little bit closer to the driver’s side. “I could, too.”

People, I think 2017 is going to be considered the year where our childhood comes back to us.

Mark Lee @ SBS Gayo Daejun

Please do not disrespect or call Mark Lee (Lee Minhyung) untalented in anyway. If you look carefully in SBS Gayo Daejun, Mark isn’t there for the last part of chewing gum. Then at the very start of Seventh Sense, he comes running in, syncing perfectly with the rest of the members. Mark only had 20 seconds or less to change, remember the choreography of the seventh sense, and then to perform it all. Mark preformed three songs in one day, changing concepts very quickly. This boy is 17, in every single NCT unit, and has done practically every dance for his group there is. NCT members are allowed to leave at anytime as stated by SM, but Mark enjoys what he does. He’s growing up quick guys, appreciate him. This is also the same kid that auditioned for Highschool Rapper without saying he was part of NCT because he wanted to audition as, “Mark Lee the highschool student,” not, “Mark Lee from NCT.”

[TRANS] Shukan Josei - SOPE Interview

SUGA x J-HOPE

Q. “If you were to sing to your crush”
JH: I would sing “Sakuranbo” by Otsuka Ai. I’ve liked that song for ages. There’s love in the lyrics and the melody is bright, so I think it matches my personality as well. I would prepare a trailer truck that would become a stage and say, “It’s an special event!” and sing just for the girl.
SG: I would say, “Why don’t you just come to our concert?”.
JH: Huh……!?
SG: I don’t go to karaoke, and I haven’t really sang anywhere other than on stage. So I’d tell her (to come to our concert) because I’m someone that does music professionally.
JH: Really……

Q. “Things you’re aiming for in 2017”
JH: I want to travel around Japan~
SG: I want to regularly go to the gym. I haven’t been doing anything recently, so I think that I should.
JH: Music-wise, I want to release a mixtape this year. I really want to improve as a rapper.
SG: I also think that we have to make a lot of good songs this year. We have a world tour, so we need to work hard to get more people to love BTS.

Q. “Phone lock screen”
SG: (while showing screen) This.
JH: Wow, it’s solid black!
SG: I’ve never really cared about my lock screen.
JH: Mine is a picture of my favorite artist!
SG: Who?
JH: Who was it? (lol)
SG: Isn’t it your favorite artist?
JH: It totally slipped my mind (lol). Ah, it’s Frank Ocean (an R&B singer)! But, it’s been the same lock screen for half a year, so I might want to change it soon.
SG: Even if it’s your favorite artist?
JH: You sometimes wanna change it, you know? Still, it would be embarrassing to use my own selfie……

C. Delores Tucker and The Fight Against Misogynoiristic (C)Rap Music

When the late C. Delores Tucker went against violent misogynoir in rap music, she did not go on about “da white man this, da white man that” rants she held these anti-woman misogynoiristic rappers accountable for their own behavior and actions. We’ve all heard the excuses from Blackistan that it was “da white record execs who made these po’ negro males degrade and demean their own women”, however Mrs. Tucker (like many of us now) wasn’t buying it. When she called out these BW-hating muthaphuckas they called responded with more violent misogynoir (2pac and lil’ kim included, so disappointed in Kim) they called her every thing but a child of God. [Side Note: From what I heard the ONLY person who stood with her was a black man named, Rev. Calvin Butts (and I believe there were a few others) while the rest of Blackistan sat back as usual quiet while she was attacked.] Here some information about the misogynoiristic attackes she faced from her Wikipedia bio:

Tucker dedicated much of the last few years of her life to condemning sexually explicit lyrics in rap and hip-hop tracks, citing a concern that the lyrics were misogynistic and threatened the moral foundation of the African American community.[6][7]

Called “narrow-minded” by some rappers who often mentioned her in their lyrics, Tucker picketed stores that sold rap music and bought stock in Sony, Time Warner, and other companies in order to protest hip-hop at their shareholders’ meetings.[6] She also fought against the NAACP’s decision to nominate late rapper Tupac Shakur for one of its Image Awards[6] and filed a $10 million lawsuit against his estate for comments that the rapper made in his song “How Do U Want It?” on the album All Eyez on Me, in which Shakur rapped “C. Delores Tucker you’s a motherfucker / Instead of trying to help a nigga you destroy a brother”. In her lawsuit, Tucker claimed that comments in this song, and on the track “Wonda Why They Call U Bitch” from the same album, inflicted emotional distress, were slanderous and invaded her privacy.[8] This case was eventually dismissed.[9]

Other rappers have taken similar stances. In his song “Church for Thugs”, The Game raps “I’ve got more hatred in my soul than Pac had for De'ores Tucker.” Jay-Z chimes in as well, with the lines “I don’t care if you’re C. Dolores Tucker or you’re Bill O'Reilly, you only riling me up,” from The Black Album’s “Threat.” Lil’ Kim also referenced her in a leftover track, entitled “Rockin’ It”, from her second studio album. Kim raps “C. Delores T., Screw her, I never knew her”, after Tucker dubbed her music as “gangsta porno rap” and “filth”.[10][11] Much of KRS-One and Channel Live’s “Free Mumia” is a direct criticism of what the MCs see as Tucker’s misplaced energy. Lil Wayne also referenced her in his leftover song “Million Dollar Baby” rapping “Can’t be banned I’m sorry Miss Delores.” Rapper Eminem also mentioned Tucker in the D-12 song “Rap Game”, in which he rapped the line “Tell that C. Delores Tucker slut to suck a dick.”

Mrs. Tucker knew that this misogynoiristic crap called hip shit hop would lead the black “community” further down in looking-ass niggerdom. BTW, Black Women funded and supported (and still do) this particular oppression.

[Side Note: And if you all can stomach it, go look at the comments below under  these videos (below) here and here Blackistan is still defending this music and cursing her and the woman is dead, how low. The Black Men in the comments are still making excuses and and found a way to blame it ALL ON black women.]

Now years later, you got some niggas talkin about “Mrs Tucker was right.”

It’s like @for-marginalized-bw-only  once said that black people act like grown rank negro males have NO control over their own behavior and actions, its always “da white man made me do it” mantra everytime there is disrespect or defamation to the Black Woman’s body, character or image.

THERE HAS GOT TO BE SOME ACCOUNTABILITY ON THESE NEGRO MALES PART, AND BLACK WOMEN LIKE ME WILL KEEP DOING JUST THAT, FIRST BY BOYCOTTING THE VAST MAJORITY OF RAPPERS, MALE (AND FEMALE).

R.I.P. Mrs. Dr. C. Delores Tucker, We Will Make Sure That Your Fight Will Not Be In Vain

The Struggle Is Intersectional

can you understand how sweet and down to earth mark lee is??? mnet can give up trying to evil edit him bc even in his interview he kept praising others, saying that he can do well (but never mentioned being better than others) and even mentioned he couldnt believe he got 2nd place. saying that he’s thankful for it. not to mention bowing to every compliment he gets.
tbh the rest of the students are super sweet and encouraging too. i havent heard anyone diss any other contestant. someone admitted he didnt expect much from an idol but was surprised and learnt that mark was also just like them, another student that likes rap. and mnet’s dramatic ass cant do anything to stop these wonderful students. bless their teenage hearts.
