The Scene You Keep Going Back To.
Turnadette fans, we all know the iconic scenes everyone talks about–the Hand Kiss, the Misty Road, “Because I have you”, the 5x04 Home Scene, any of the Kiss scenes. But I’m wondering now, is there a scene beyond these ones everyone mentions that you just keep going back to look at? A scene that just makes you happy to watch it again when it may be either more obscure or just not on most peoples Top 5 Turnadette Scenes?
For me, it’s this one, the 4x01 bedroom scene. I recently rewatched it and there’s something about it that is just so quintessentially Turnadette for me. It’s also a scene where we get to see the Turners in the early stages of what I call the “Happy Turnerland” phase of their relationship, where their communication skills are improving, they’re really talking and sharing their concerns, and Shelagh’s finally got her issues from series 3 sorted enough to start thinking about something that’s important to her but that she had put aside for a while–her vocation as a nurse and midwife. I love this scene, and it’s one that I never tire of re-watching.
So, Turner fans, is there one of these scenes for you? If so, what is it, and why?
