Allison Reynolds was a bewildering choice for Palmetto State. She looked like a picture-perfect princess, but she could brawl with the best of them on the court. She refused to bend to others’ expectations of her and could be honest to the point of cruelty. She could have inherited her parents’ billion-dollar empire, but she didn’t want the restrictions that life came with. She wanted the right to be her own person. She wanted to prove herself on the court.

AUBeacon Hills library has a less than decent selection, so Kira takes to haunting the massive bookstore around the corner, curling up on the floor and reading novels she fully intends to buy – until she finishes them. She’s not exactly subtle, as Allison discovers when she’s scheduled to work over Christmas, tripping over her every time she goes to restock The Hunger Games. Still, Allison has to admit, the girl is pretty cute.

The fourth time Allison finds her, Kira asks her to a party, and it’s all over from there.

A little thing that came to mind earlier: Neil probably has some experience with make up.

  • like when you’re on the run you want to make sure no one asks questions about your injuries
  • especially if Neil’s mother was abusive

    • also hc his mother made him crossdress at least once to throw people off their track
    • (but that’s a story for another day)

“And behold, the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself in the river, and her maids walked by the river’s brink, and when she saw the basket in the sedges, she sent one of her maids for it. And when it was brought, she opened it, and saw within an infant crying. And having compassion on it, she said, ‘This is one of the babes of the Hebrews.’ And she adopted him for a son, and called him Moses, saying, 'Because I took him out of the water.’ One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out among his people and saw their affliction. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, his brethren. Looking this way and that way, and seeing no people, Moses slew the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.” Fargo 1x3: A muddy road.
