allah will do the rest

There is so much comfort that can be found in the Qur'an.

You can open it up and find Allah directing you to the exact verses you need to hear at the time.

And Allah has said,

“Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”

[13:28]

So if you’re ever feeling down or going through a hardship and you feel like you can’t bear it any longer, open up the Qur'an. Wallahi, you’ll find relief.

what’s so frustrating is how the entire world is silent right now. especially these fucking celebrities and the media who all speak up when there’s a tragedy in America or Paris etc. but are MUTE right now on everything going on in Aleppo. Why are people turning a blind eye? this is a genocide. a crime against ALL of humanity. is it because it’s muslims being killed that no one wants to speak up? and at the same time its so mind-blowing how none of the other muslim leaders in the world seem to be doing anything to help their brothers and sisters in Aleppo. the world is silent while innocent people are being killed.

Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest • [surah Ar Ra’d: 28] •

The tranquility of hearts and obedience to Allah go in hand in hand. If you loose one you loose the other as well.

He should be in our minds and heart all day long, in every situation, in every phase of our life.

His remembrance also means to thank Him with love, gratitude, and servant-hood. To obey Him, to follow His commandments in all our affairs and by doing each and everything that Allah loves and wants us to do.

That is the key to eternal bliss in this world and the hereafter.

“Only in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”

[13:28]

If you are passionate about something, pursue it, no matter what anyone else thinks. That’s how dreams are achieved.

Make dua, Do your part and Leave the rest to Allah

The best nights & mornings are those spent remembering you

Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.

Surat Ar-Ra’d [verse 28]

The Exemplary Ethics of Prophet Muhammad: MODEST: Part 8 LET ME CARRY WOOD

They were on a journey… They took a break for eating. All of his friends took on a task. The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Let me carry wood for fire.” His friends wanted to prevent him from doing so:

“O Apostle of Allah! Have a rest; we will do that work, too.” The prophet Muhammad answered solemnly:

“I know that you would perform it willingly. However, I am not happy to be in a privileged position in a community. This is not liked by Allah, either.” And He continued to pick up woods.

Is your heart a ruined heart?

This story WILL NOT touch a person’s heart if they don’t have one. If this story does not touch your heart you need to go look for a heart because your one is dead!

Imagine, envisage a tyrant government executing a toddler who is playing publicly and everyone is watching. What would happen? There would be an uproar, everyone would become furious no question about it.

That’s exactly what happened when Musa عليه السلام accompanied Khidr عليه السلام and Yusha’. Three Prophets! (Yusha عليه السلام went on to become a Prophet later on).

They were walking one day and Khidr عليه السلام came upon a toddler who was playing, he grabbed him and chopped his head off.

Musa عليه السلام became furious. He was saying, you killed an innocent boy who never did anything etc. He was enraged at Khidr.

After a while Khidr told Musa, if this boy grew up he would have exceeded the limit in disbelief and committed apostasy. Not only that, not only would he have committed disbelief but he would have led his parents (who are believers currently) to it too! Then all three would have been destined for eternity in the hell fire in agony and torment.

Allah knows the unseen, He knows what’s happened, what’s happening and what’s yet to occur. Allah knows everything! Allah wanted good for the family, eternal bliss, so he sent Khidr عليه السلام there, Allah wanted all three of them in paradise.

Khidr said, I did not do this on my own accord, Allah commanded me to do that. Allah knows, we do not know. Whatever happens to the believer is ALWAYS better for him!

Allah wants to grant the parents a better child, one that is merciful, good and dutiful to his parents!

Allah knows the secret of the heart and that which is yet more hidden. The secret comes after a certain time, but the secret in your heart, Allah already knows that as well as that which will come from it later on.

Take a moment to really comprehend this story, it’s a consolation to your distressed soul and gives a peace of mind. If this story does not change your heart, you need to search for a new one, you have a ruined heart!!

A peace of mind is the mind the believer has. Imagine someone is following you and they want to kill you, you run to a fortified palace and close the door and you feel like bulwark in that building, secure and safe. That’s the peace of mind. That’s how your heart should be, completely reliant upon Allah.

Those who believe in the oneness of Allah and whose hearts rest in the remembrance of Allah, their hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest/ease.

Allah knows that which you do not know. Don’t get sad over a matter, the outcome is far greater than what you perceive, whatever Allah decrees ‘against’ you it’s always always always better for you!

Trust Allah, He knows best. Allah is the best of protectors and guardian, He is the best of trustee. Put your trust in Him.

How can you find peace?

“Oh Allah, You are As-Salaam, from You is all Peace, blessed are You Oh Possessor of Majesty and Honor.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)

“Those who believe and whose hearts are set at rest by the remembrance of Allah; indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28)

(True) peace is only attainable by seeking it from Allah (ﷻ). By sincerely worshiping, remembering, and loving Him (ﷻ). For the heart and soul were created only for Allah. However, we fill this heart with other than Him. We fill it with that which is temporal and delusion from this dunya. We attach it to that which will soon leave us and/or negatively affect us. Reflect upon how many things do we love that takes us away from the remembrance and worship of Allah? How much do we love that which is despised in the sight of Allah? How many people upon this earth do you see who have achieved all their desires and goals of material wealth, beauty, partners, fame, and so on; yet remain unhappy, depressed, and dissatisfied with their life? To the extent of reaching suicide!

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The example of one who remembers Allah and someone who does not, is like the example between the living and the dead.” (Sahih Bukhari)

Subhan’Allah. The remembrance of Allah is the essential life of the heart. So if one is void of His remembrance, then consider the heart already dead. And a dead heart will never find peace or satisfaction. So we must turn to Him (ﷻ) wholly and submit this heart that belongs only to Him; and not to anyone or anything else.

“Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth?” (Surah Al-Hadid 57:16)

anonymous asked:

How do I rebuild my life after having it destroyed by years of depression and anxiety? I cannot believe the amount of damage it has done to so many aspects of my life

Salam Alikum,

Will try my best to answer your question, but as I always say, depression and anxiety are emotions that need to be handled in the right manner by the right person. If it is possible for you to do so, try to start seeing someone who is a professionally and medically qualified counselor and they will be able to give you the best advice about how to deal with depression.. Now to answer your question:

We all go through difficult periods in our life. We face good and bad times - sometimes our Iman is as strong as a mountain and sometimes we feel like there is absolutely no Iman left in our heart. Allah gives us these times of difficulties to raise our ranks in the akhira, cleanse us of our sins, test our faith and commitment to this deen and to teach us important life lessons that will help us become better people

We have certainly created man into hardship (90:4)

O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him (84:6)

After going through what you have gone through.. it is important to move on. Remember this: Life goes on. Good and bad situations are faced by everyone. But we must take from those situations what is benficial and useful and move on with life. There are many good times awaiting you.. and you have to do much good in this world for the sake of Allah SWT.. but how will you achieve all this if you do not try to start fixing the damage that has been done.. I know, the most difficult part is the start. When you have to piece together your life one by one and get going.. it may seem like a very difficult daunting task.. almost like a mountain you have to climb.. but what happens when you have completed the difficult climb and reached the top? You enjoy the beautiful view.. the hard work pays off.

What happens when you are walking and you trip on something and fall? Do you keep sitting down at the place you have fallen and continue to be upset about the fall? No.. you get up and you start walking again! Only this time you are more careful and look before you take each step.

You situation is exactly the same. Depression and anxiety have effected many aspects of your life.. maybe even completely ruined some of them.. but now is a time for renewal.. You have learnt a lot from the situations you have faced in life.. You have been hurting but all this hurt has made you a much stronger human being. Your personality is much more developed now and you have a lot more foresight now than you did before. You need to now start working on putting yourself and your life back together, slowly, one day at a time, but you definitely need to start.

Remember, Allah makes no mistakes in the decisions He takes for us and also remember that everything happens to us for a reason. Allah SWT wanted you to learn some important life lessons through the distress you faced.. why? May be because He wanted to prepare you for a much more important task that lies ahead in your life or maybe because he wanted you to learn some important lessons. As stated in the following hadith, there is good in every situation faced by a believer:

Allah’s Messenger said. “Strange is the case of a believer, there is good for him in everything, and this is only for the believer. If a blessing reaches him, he is grateful to Allah which is good for him, and if an adversity reaches him, he is patient which is good for him.” [Muslim]

You need to reflect on the depression you have suffered, try to see (maybe even write down somewhere) the lessons you have learnt through it.. Take the good, leave the bad.. Take the positives and leave the negatives and make a decision to move on with all that is good. And with Allah’s help Ofcourse. Remember Allah much - you have in this month a golden opportunity to start fresh.. make the book of Allah your friend, read it and make an effort to understand it – Allah will speak to you through his book and grant you His help and mercy and protection inShaAllah.

Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest! (13:28)
