#14 I wouldn’t change a thing… except when you vomited on my shoes
After five years with Mulder, there weren’t many things that threw Scully off. Taking Mulder to a hospital was nothing out of the ordinary. He’d been shot, he’d been stabbed, he’d been sick with unidentifiable diseases. This, however, was new. It was so pedestrian, really, that Scully had almost missed the signs. Sitting by his bedside now, she took his cool hand in hers. Her thumb gently stroked over every curve, followed every bone and every knuckle. Beautiful hands, she mused. She couldn’t wait for him to wake up and use them again to show her something, explain some theory. Anything. She just wanted him to wake up, period. Waiting, that was one of the things that felt familiar about all of this.
“Hm?” Mulder tried to open his mouth. His eyes were still closed and Scully felt him squeeze her hand. Finally.
“Mulder? Are you awake?”
“Wh- what ha-?” He opened his eyes, like a baby almost, trying to focus against the bright hospital light. She moved towards him so he could see her better. He gave her a tiny smile that made her heart leap in joy.
“You want to know what happened?” Scully asked gently and he nodded very, very slowly, “Well, Mulder, you’re in the hospital.” He blinked at her, obviously not remembering anything. Probably a good thing, she decided.
“You didn’t feel very well earlier,” she began and he just listened to her, closing his eyes again, “and of course you being you, all you did was take something for the pain.” Scully waited a moment, hoping he would remember by himself. For a moment she thought he had fallen asleep again, but he opened one eye urging her to go on.
“So, I kept asking you if you were all right and you said yes. Obviously, Mulder, you weren’t.” Scully felt the anger bubble up in her again. They could have gone to the hospital so much sooner if only he’d told her. But no, not Mulder. If she was honest, though, she probably would have tried to ignore the signs as well. Two stubborn mules they were; if they kept going like this, they might as well just rent one of the hospital rooms for their various injuries and ailments.
“Mulder, you had appendicitis.” His eyes opened and he struggled to sit up. Scully helped him up and watched as his face turned pale again. Immediately she reached for the bucket the nurse had left. Mulder brushed her off.
“’m fine.” He mumbled. She’d heard that before – and he’d been wrong then, too. So Scully held on to the bucket.
“Good news is they took your appendix out before it got too bad. You’ll be fine.” Scully smiled at him. Those were the only news that mattered to her. When they’d arrived hours ago, Mulder almost passing out, she’d been so angry with him. If only he’d told her sooner! She’d made a mental note to give him a piece of her mind as soon as he woke up. Looking at him now, she couldn’t even remember being angry. She was just glad to see him blink at her, to see his chest rais and fall with every breath he took. Scully was grateful. Despite all the things that had happened before they arrived here.
“You operate?” Mulder asked her, pointing at her scrubs. Life returned to his exhausted eyes. Scully knew he would fall asleep again very soon anyway and he needed the rest. She would be by his side to make sure he got it.
“Uhm, no,” She didn’t tell him that they wouldn’t let her into the OR, no matter how many times she told them that she was a medical doctor, “I needed something else to wear.” Scully replied vaguely, staring at her shoes. Not her shoes, not really. A nurse had given them to her after… well, after.
“Why?” Leave it to Mulder to completely ignore the signs and keep on pestering her. She wanted to have that talk with him when he was fully awake and healthy.
“It’s not important now, Mulder. You should get some sleep.” Mulder’s hand gently tugged at her wrist.
“There was an… accident,” he examined her with his eyes, scanning her from head to toe, searching for any injuries, “not that kind of accident.” Scully added quickly. She took his hand in hers again. It finally felt warmer, much more like him.
“You weren’t feeling well,” she pleaded with him, hoping this would be enough for him. Nothing was ever enough for Mulder, though. Nothing but the truth.
“You got sick.” Suddenly he got it. His eyes grew wide and color rushed into his cheeks.
“Sick? On… you. ’m so sorry, Scully.” Scully vigorously shook her head no. She almost made herself dizzy with it.
“I’m just glad you’re fine, Mulder. That’s really all that matters.”
“Not important.” She squeezed his hand tenderly. He closed his eyes for a moment and Scully thought he was finally letting it go. Except a moment later he opened them again and stared intently at her.
“For what?” Scully asked.
“Saving me again.”
“Oh Mulder,” Scully sighed, “next time just tell me if you’re not feeling well, all right?”
“I only have one appendix. Well, had.” Smart ass, Scully thought, and smiled anyway.
“Just tell me, all right?” He grinned, too, and nodded. His eyes grew heavy with sleep, finally. Scully decided to get a coffee and maybe freshen up again as soon as he was out of it.
“Hope it wasn’t too bad.” Mulder mumbled, trying to get comfortable in the hospital bed. He hated those, Scully knew that.
“I wouldn’t change a thing,” Scully told him honestly, squeezing his hand one final time, “except for when you vomited on my shoes.” Mulder’s eyes flew open. Oh yeah, they would talk about that as soon as he was feeling better. And she’d make him go shoe shopping with her. That would teach him to be honest with her
//I’m probably going to regret putting my two cents in, but with the thing regarding LGBT+ characters in RW//BY, they’ve been promising that they’re there since season one, but we still haven’t seen any.
I’m not saying they had to show up immediately or anything, I’m just saying we’ve had lots of het coded interactions. Examples include Pyrrha liking Jaune, Jaune liking Weiss, Weiss liking Neptune, Neptune liking anything with a skirt, etc. But we haven’t had any LGBT+ characters with casual interactions like that. (And I know any of those characters can be bi but without being told the majority of people will assume they are straight)
I know they’re at the age where you find yourself, but there are kids at 17 who know they like the same sex. I just need casually flirting like we got above with 2 girls or 2 guys. We’re not asking a lot. Just the same sort of casual representation that straight people get.
MOH:- They get home and reader starts to push Bucky away to save from getting hurt because “it was all just for the wedding right?” But Bucky constantly trying to show her it’s more than that, more than a fling. Then he ends up screaming to her-

Society pressures me to have a baby. I hate babies and children and I'm single too. I want to be married, but not have a baby. Media is bombarding me with images of what I should want. Babies. How can I let the resistance go and how can I live happily despite everyone around me having babies and trying to talk me into it? I feel lonely. I just want a loving partnership is all.
Why do you care so much about what other people want for your life?
My daughter is in the same boat. She is 27, divorced and everyone is pushing for her to have kids. She hears “Once you have your own you’ll feel differently” ALL the time.
She’s never wanted them, that’s not going to change and thank goodness she knows that about herself and isn’t afraid to lead the life SHE wants to lead.
She says the people who push her the most to have kids are the same ones that complain how their kids are driving them crazy. She says “I think they just want me to be as miserable as they are!”
Last month she said “All my friends and co-workers are buying back to school stuff and I just booked a trip to Europe - they can keep the kids, I’m going to travel!”
Once you are comfortable with the decision you’ve made - it won’t matter who says what and you won’t take notice of the things you consider ‘bombarding’.
Everyone watches the same media images you are - but not everyone feels as if they are being bombarded and pushed into having babies. You only feel that way because you’re wanting other people to be happy with your decision and they will never be happy with your decision until YOU ARE FIRST.
The issue lies inside you and the outside world is just a reflection of that.
TIP: Make a decision and then be OK with that decision. Once you are OK with your decisions, the rest of that crap will go away.

best to follow this checklist tomorrow! But hey! Not so fast. Why not try it
again the next day (and every day after that)? Sometimes it’s the smaller
changes that can in fact help improve our health and wellbeing, especially when
we think we’re short of time. School stressing you out? Everything is going to
be ok. Try a few little things here. Tick everything off that you completed! Tell
me how it goes for you!

Wake up as soon as you do
naturally or when your alarm goes off. Make your bed! Open the blinds!
Get out of bed and s t r e t c h
– all the way from the very tips of your fingers to the tips of your toes.
(Trust me, this feels good)
Set your intention for the day.
This might be weird for some, but try it. Example: Today I will be productive. I will be focused on my tasks and I will
take the time to relax when needed. It doesn’t have to be as complicated –
Example 2: I can do this. Remind
Eat breakfast. A MUST. Try my
favourite: eggs (poached, scrambled or fried) on toast with avocado or baked
beans. Yes. We are on a roll today.
Drink one full glass of water
within the hour of waking (don’t down it all in one go though!).
Add 1/8 of a lemon to this. Lemon
is great to alkalise the body and getting that digestive system of yours goin!
This will flush out toxins in the body and support your immune system too!
Side note: Wait half an hour
before brushing your teeth after this (or maybe do it before) because lemons
are acidic after all and can probably do some damage to your shiny whites.
Try having a water bottle by your
bedside and beside you throughout the day as a constant reminder to drink water
as you see it. Trust me, this has helped improve my water intake a lot.
Organise your day. What are your
plans? What are of priority and what are not? Try brain dumping this, and then
organising each task/item into a list, categorised in importance. This will
help decrease stress throughout the day and easy referral back to this list.
Dress in some lovely clothes!
Your fave sweater and some cool black tights? 100%!! What about that pretty
skirt you like with a nice top? HECK YEAH!!!
Lunchtime! Eat again. Wholesome
foods are an absolute must whenever you can.
Aim for 3-4 cups of water by
lunchtime (inclusive of the glass of lemon water you had this morning).
Remember that intention you set
this morning? Say it again.
Throw a compliment at someone. Be
genuine. This will have a butterfly effect. If someone throws one at you to –
don’t disagree! Say thank you. You rock, don’t doubt that.
Are there any ticks beside those
tasks on your checklist from this morning? I hope so!
Throw in a random burst of
exercise! In public too – who cares! Pick one of these: 50 starjumps! 3 sets of
10 squats! A quick walk around outdoors!

Hit that 3pm slump? Same. Here
are a few ideas to get you going, especially coming home from a long day:
NAP! 15-20 mins. No longer. No
less. Be strict here or your sleep pattern might go funny and we don’t want
that. (And groggy headaches are gross)
Exercise! This is so fundamental
to our health and wellbeing. Try out short pilates videos (no equipment) here (that as living proof, work) or some really cool yoga videos here, here, and here. Yoga is great. Try this
daily. Or take a brisk walk for 30
minutes = wake up your brain, pick up
your mood AND burn some fat. C’mon, go get your shoes!
Write down your to do list for
any work, study or event related things that you need to complete this
afternoon. Set out all your equipment, sort out your papers from the day and
(bedroom/bed/desk/floor/work/closet) space for 5 minutes every day. I’m
guessing that you’ve started to pile a few things here like I do. This will
save you time and help maintain cleanliness, staving away from the complicated
stress that comes from having to reorganise just about everything which we all
know to hate when we’re busy with other things.
Have you had your 5th and 6th cups of water of the day yet? Get to it!
Sit up straighter and you’ll look
more confident and feel more confident. Your back will also be very grateful
Continue all your extra to-dos.
Get this done. You can do it!
Make sure to put something in
your body guys. I’m talking food here by the way… don’t let that sentence
mislead you! This is especially important for those of you probably thinking “I’ll just eat later” or “I’m not hungry”. Eat. EAT NOW. PleASE.
Spend some quality time with your
family. How’s their day been? Tell them about yours too.
Glasses of water No. 7, 8 and
beyond should be here.
Prep your meals, lists, notes,
outfits, etc. for the next day. Getting these things sorted now will help you
get it out of the way and save you time!
Settle down a little. It’s time
to wiiiind doooooooownnn. Read a book. Scroll through Tumblr (aaayeee!) – but
not too deep into the pits okay guys. Watch a little TV.
I know a lot of posts say to
switch off 1-2 hours before bed. If you’re literally glued to your electronics,
try switching off 5 minutes earlier every day and replace that with something
else. What about doing your prep items for the next day (listed two points
back!!)? Or, do get those pesky chores out the way.
Side note: Cleaning your room
often will help freshen it, get rid of itchy dust and decrease the chances of
bugs and other smol random things to crawl around your room. (If that’s not a
little motivation then I’m not sure what is…). It’ll also keep your space
maintained so you don’t have to do it all at once. *Shudders* Plus the
likelihood of those gross germs from the world hanging around and building up
in there is a no-no.
Sleep! 7-8 hours. Your body will
thank you for it. CRUCIAL for healthy brain and body function. Plus your mood
and skin will improve (i.e. gOODBYE EYEBAGS and hELLO GLOWING SKIN).

at 12am when you should be sleeping. I see you.
