all they did was show her

I still can’t believe they filmed the screen while playing some clips depicting us watching this amazing show. Julie and all her team really did that. I’m this clip’s pov. You’re this clip’s pov. All of us are this clip’s pov. What a way to end the show. I’m just speechless.

Thank you Julie and all her team.

Thank you to the entire cast.

Thank you Norway.

Thank you to all of you that were here sharing your thoughts and opinions and creativity. This show united as a family and I loved it!

So the one manager who's hated me the entire 4 years I've been with this company has this next week's schedule up, and she has me scheduled for all day July 2nd. I turned in my two weeks awhile ago, which explicitly stated my last day was the 1st... now I'm debating what to do about it. Any thoughts?

Don’t show up. You did your part by giving in your two weeks notice. Remind her. It’s on her if she ignores that. -Abby

So I was actually at the taping of the finale.

Let me tell you how hard it was not to consistently blog about Sasha Velour’s epic, and I mean EPIC, lip sync performance to So Emotional. Seeing it in person was like on a whole other level. When I tell you the audience ROARED, I mean they ROARED. I think they actually toned down the amount of cheering that actually happened. I got chills after Sasha removed her wig. It was such a beautiful and unexpected reveal that had me cheering like a heterosexual at a football game. I sincerely did not expect Peppermint and Sasha to be the top two but these lip syncs definitely solidified their right to be there.

Say what you will about the finale being “unfair” but I truly think Sasha deserved the crown, and let’s also not forget that it’s just a tv show. The runner up’s careers won’t end and they all have incredible and exciting things lined up!

Some somewhat notable behind the scenes moments:

The season 9 girl’s runway took forever, especially Cynthia who seemed to have a hard time moving in her dress. There was a moment of awkward dead audience silence as she wiggled her way down the runway.

Anytime Valentina was on screen the audience just lost their minds, even going so far as to chant her name repeatedly, which slowed filming.

The poor people in the balcony (me and my friends) were blinded by the spotlights on the stage, they were practically burning our corneas making it hard to see the stage.

There was an asshole near us in the balcony who kept being incredibly obnoxious and would yell things while filming. There was even a point where Ru asked Shea who she would want to lip sync against and the asshole yelled “SASHAAAAAA” And Shea responded “I believe Ru asked ME the question” similar to her “Do I look upset to you?” response. The audience erupted with laughter and security even had to tel the guy to pipe down.

There was a hilarious moment that unfortunately didn’t air where Ru said that the theater was packed, so much so that she would have to ask one of the people in the audience to leave. She called out India Ferrah’s seat number and asked if security could please escort her out of the building. So who comes walking down the aisle but miss Mimi Imfurst, and hilariously recreates her iconic season 3 LSFYL moment and proceeds to pick up India and walks her out of the theater. Porkchop filled the seat.

Trinity actually got a message from Amanda Lepore as well, not sure why it wasn’t aired.

Yes, Katy Perry’s message to Sasha was just as baffling in person as it was on TV, in fact it was even worse. They actually added a lot more applause than actually happened. Confused looks were everywhere.

Raven and Delta working on Ru’s makeup confirmed, they would come in (out of drag) during commercial breaks and fix Ru’s makeup.

That’s all I can remember for now!

I think I'm the only one NOT team Emison. I think Marlene just did that to satisfy fans because she wants to be liked so badly and she knows she screwed us all for the sudden switch in storylines. Ali has always gone after older men, but suddenly she's a lesbian? Come on, being bisexual myself, I can easily tell this girl wasn't meant to be linked to Emily romantically.

I’m not personally team Emison. I don’t ship anything on this show.

But even if I did, I don’t think I could ship Emison. Which is unfortunate I think, because the need for representation is there. I just wouldn’t pick them for a couple to romantically model. And that’s because I do not trust Ali’s motives. I never will I suppose.

Most people are really convinced that Ali has changed a lot, and that she regrets all of her bad choices, etc. I mean most people including Sasha and Marlene. So, unless she’s getting a reveal in the finale, I’m afraid that canonically she’s just grown into a broken and scared and regretful young woman. And you can’t say that she hasn’t been written to have character growth.

Ali has had a lot of conversations where she talks about regretting what she’s done, and finally embracing her true self, etc. So, yes… it’s there.

My problem is what wasn’t there. Mainly any type of detailed account of her time on the run. Like I’m not joking when I say that itself should’ve been a few episodes. If Ali is completely clear of any bad intentions then, why did they work so hard to make her seem not credible?

People love to get defensive about Ali about how she’s changed, and we need to let it go and forgive her, but I can’t because this whole thing started with Ali, and I built my entire understanding of this universe on “Alison DiLaurentis: Manipulative young girl who knows the value of a good lie.” And if this show ever really wanted me to let go of that distrust of Ali, they’d have given more than they gave.

I really never bring this stuff up unless asked, because I do get how and why people feel so strongly about them. And who am I to tell you what a good wlw ship looks like on TV, when there’s very few of them, and I don’t ship to start with.

But from my perspective, since I distrust Ali, and they’ve never shown us her having attraction to any other female… it does feel a bit forced. I can’t help but look at this relationship and default to thinking about old Ali and saying “But what if she’s just manipulating Emily.”

I’m 98% certain that I’m meant to believe their love is beautiful and genuine, and that’s how it will stay. But, literally until the credits roll on this finale I’ll be waiting for her to drop the mask. Probably even after.

Just… a reminder that you should always say goodbye, alright? Always say goodbye, don’t leave on a bad note, and if you love the person remember to tell them “I love you.” Even if it just a short trip down to the store or the daily route to work. Because accidents happen and you can’t control them. Life is scary that way. Those horrible scenes you see in the news, as terrible as it is, could happen to your friends and family.
I’m not saying you should be afraid. I’m never saying that. Because this is life, and life has so much good in it too. Just remember to say goodbye because it’s better than wondering later what the last thing you told them was. The last thing should always be love.

Beast Boy took Raven to a stand-up comedy show once.

She didn’t realize they’d be sitting up front, and Beast Boy assumed that if anything, the comedians would pick on him since he was the most obvious choice.

When the comedian started picking on Raven instead, Beast Boy had none of it; he heckled the jerk all night until the comedian said: “You think you’re so funny? Why don’t you do the show?!”

So, he did it. He went up there and made fun of the guy for as long as he could before security had to get involved.

Needless to say, they never went back, and Raven still counts it as one of the most selfless things anyone has ever done for her.

Thanks so much for the wonderful posts you did proving that CP fans did not cheat in any way because she already had multiple tweets over 7k RTs. Bravo 👏👏👏 Also was I the only one who noticed that CP/DP & EBR nominations tweets had Barry's pic in them? 🤔🤔 Ship war in disguise?? Anyway even tho we all know that it's a rigged award show, I'm glad CP's fans did not come to play 😎😎😎 👊👊👊

Credit goes to @westallenhugs, I only reblogged :)

Lol the gif choices were not the best. I think EBR stans complained about it and honestly I would too if it was Candice, that gif wasn’t even from an Arrow episode & it was of her undressing….

I don’t think they were trying to start something though, they were just being lazy, even the twitter gif search has better gifs when you type in her name.

And YES, I’m really happy with the way we came together, you just KNOW Candice saw those RTs as well, her knowing how much we love & support her is everything to me.

real talk why would adam work with someone like her

In all honesty I think he did it for the sake of not having bad blood or having the spotlight on him for leaving a show; you never hear anything about him and I’m sure he wants to keep it that way. I’m not gonna defend him bc I obviously don’t know him and really wanna know what’s his honest opinion on her bc he could easily lie to the media and support her n shit bc u know that’s how hollywood is…but I’m glad girls is over and he’s out of it

Brynhilda’s Saga

Decided I wanted to continue Brynhilda.

It will be an Ivar x OC. (First ever, yay!) It is a slow burn, but eventually the will get together.

But first, check out the moodboard @ceridwenofwales did for me! It’s so pretty!

Though the Seer makes her uncomfortable, Aslaug knows he’s a man that deserves her utmost respect. It’s the face, she determines, that upsets her. It’s so scarred and ugly. Despite all that, he is the most holy man in all of Kattegat and she is the queen. They both have certain duties. Hers is to invite him to the feast celebrating a prosperous harvest, his is to show up and tell stories. He tells the old stories with flare, it’s hard not to get wrapped up in them.

The party has since died down. Most people have either passed out on the floor, the tables, or have gone home. Only her sons remain with her, nursing their last flagons of ale. Ivar has been pressing him to tell a story the entire evening, but tonight, the Seer is in no mood for it.

“At least tell someone’s future.” Ivar presses. “Tell my future, will I be a great warrior, like my father?” Aslaug watches as the Seer moves his head towards her son. “The gods show me only one future tonight.” He breathes quietly. “And it is not yours.”

“Well then who’s, is it?” Ivar snaps. Aslaug gives him a warning look. This is the Seer after all, he should show some respect. The Seer takes his time answering, lifting his head as though he were listening to the silent whispers of the gods themselves. “She is a dead woman come back to life.”

“The dead can’t come back to life.” Sigurd scoffs. Ubbe nudges him. “I don’t think the Seer means it literally.” He mutters. He leans in, however, interested in the prophecy. “Continue?” His tone is polite, and though the Seer can’t see it, he smiles. “Her rage is endless, brought upon by the pain of betrayal. She is but a wraith that walks towards Kattegat, the singular thought of revenge on her mind.”

“Does she mean us harm?” Aslaug whispers, terrified of this woman already. The Seer turns to her, smiling. “You are no enemy of hers.” He stands, a little stiff with the cold that has entered his joints. “The gods are interfering personally with her life. This happens once in a few generations. I am lucky to have seen it happen twice.” He looks pointedly at Ivar who seems confused. As he walks from the feast hall, he parts with the last words; “I’d be prepared for her if I were you. She’s quite the storm.”

Finish on AO3

I think it’s funny how y’all don’t even try to hide your ugly ass favoritism anymore. All of y’all rushed to make sure Vernon felt valid as a white-passing POC and praised the hell out of his looks whenever he mentioned getting bullied for being white mama mixed. Y’all marketed Somi on Produce 101 better than the show did and got her the #1 spot. She isn’t white-passing but she has Eurocentric features thanks to her white dad and her looks won her the show.

But nobody fought like that for Lee Michelle when she was on Kpop Star. Her dark skin, thick hair, and Afrocentric features were a turn-off for y’all so not only were judges n contestants rude/awkward with her but she was ignored as an artist up until she switched to performing hip-hop recently. And even now, y’all praise those crusty anti-black rappers over her.

Samuel is a Korean Latino with brown skin, a wide nose, and naturally non-straight hair. Y’all have literally ignored this child from the start of Produce 101. The only posts made in support of him were by other POC (mostly Black and/or Latinx). People on the show said he could never be a visual, making him upset for no reason, and nobody jumped to his defense like y’all did for Vernon and Somi. He mentioned himself that he felt viewers weren’t voting bcuz he isn’t fully Korean, which shows that he sees at least some of the ugly things said about him by colorist, xenophobic, anti-latinx ppl.

All of you white allies love making posts about colorism, appropriation, racism, and all that (while basically just repeating POC) but when you could have put your numbers to use and actually helped someone who is negatively impacted by all those things, y’all were nowhere to be found and some of you actively made jokes about Samuel thinking nobody would care. So fuck all of you.

So what I got from the newest episode of "Watching Sanvers Scenes on Youtube".
  • Alex: Valentines Day?
  • Maggie: No.
  • Alex: Valentines DAY?
  • Maggie: Seriously nope!
  • Alex: Communication?
  • Maggie: Heternormativity really traumatised me and I might never be over it.
  • Maggie: I am revealing a tragic and very realistic backstory to you that a lot of our fans can probably identify with.
  • Maggie: It would need a lot of screentime to resolve this issue properly.
  • Maggie: But we don't get that much screentime because white cis fuckboy needs to fuck the former protagonist of this TV show.
  • Maggie: After all, this is a family TV show and we can't tell happy straight ally (TM) families that they are traumatising young queer children.
  • Maggie: So gotta go bye!
  • Some time later.
  • Kara: Yo, Maggie, it's nice that you adressed some issues so the gays can identify with you.
  • Kara: But now it's really time to quickly resolve this because after all this is a family's TV show. And if we really adressed properly that heteronormativity is hurting and traumatising young queer people, we could not really make white cis fuckboy fuck me in another scene of this tv show.
  • Kara: So pls just get your shit together! We need the gays to be happy and distracted from the bullshit we are going to pull.
  • Some time later.
  • Alex: What is going on, Maggie?
  • Alex: I forgot my personality at home when I put on that dress.
  • Alex: Let's slow dance it out.

Okay so seeing Wonder Woman was literally eye-opening for me. I always knew that movies, action movies in particular, are really sexist towards women. I just didn’t realize how bad it was until I saw a superhero movie directed by a woman.

In almost every movie I’ve seen, the woman was always the damsel in distress or just some lousy love interest. And in action movies, mainly superhero movies, the camera is always focused on the woman’s boobs while she’s fighting. Yes, I’m mainly talking about Black Widow in the Avengers movies.

But in Wonder Woman, there were no close-up shots of her boobs while she was fighting. In fact, I don’t think that any woman even showed her cleavage, at all. They weren’t sexualized in any way.

And all of the women looked like real people. There were women with big muscles, women with scars, there were women with thick thighs and arms that would jiggle when they were fighting, there were dark skinned women. They didn’t just all look like the stereotypical super thin white girls that you usually see in big movies.

The flirting was also very minimal. There were almost no romantic scenes at all.

And none of the men tried to undermine or belittle the women, and when they did Diana would just start talking about how she could do things better than them.

And the fight scenes. They were so amazing. They didn’t try to make the women look super pretty while doing it. No, they were full on fighting. Nasty, brutal, screams-of-pure-rage fighting.

But she always had a reason for fighting, and she always did it because she genuinely believes in hope and peace and protecting innocent people and people who can’t fight for themselves.

This movie sends out so many great messages for little girls, saying that you can fight for what you believe in and even if you don’t succeed the first time, not to give up because it is always worth it in the end.

Like I was thinking about it in the movie theater. For some little girls, Wonder Woman is their first superhero. There are little girls who will grow up with this movie and cherish it because it is the first and only movie with a lead female superhero. There are little girls who will grow up thinking that they want to do some good in this world, just like she did. I almost cried during several parts in the movie just thinking about that.

So please, for the love of all things good, please go see this movie. Not only is it a huge deal for women and girls now, it will be for generations to come.

So Something Happened at Phoenix Con

I’m not usually one to complain, or criticize, or speak out at all really. I’m one of those fans that just quietly sits in the corner and admires from afar, silently praising all the guys for what they do. But every now and again, someone does something that lights me up, and I’m off like a firecracker.

As I’m sure you’ve concluded, that happened recently.

I’m a Jared girl, but I love and respect all the actors equally. Respect being a keyword here. Phoenix con 2017 is going on now. As it so happens, that’s exactly where this incident took place. Yesterday. On the day mostly recognized as Misha’s day of the con.

Let’s all just agree that Misha is an incredible human okay? He’s actual such an incredible human that he borders on being a real life angel. He deserves all the good things in the world. Which is why I am particularly fired up because of what happened.

**Not naming names because this is not to bash anyone, just to draw attention to the fact that these are people with real, human emotions**

I’m going to summarize this the best I can because, honestly, the more I talk about it the angrier I get (and I’m not an angry person, this just really doesn’t sit well with me).

Long story short, there was a con-goer that had been to a con in the past and she had Misha sign her arm. Misha had said that if she still had the autograph on her arm the next time he saw her, he would buy her ice cream. No harm in that part. This is where things start getting…. Uncomfortable.

The girl then decided she was going to take Misha up on that (which, admit it, we would all try to keep Misha’s auto on us as long as we could, bet or not). But, instead of doing any number of options that would be considered safe and acceptable, she peeled off her skin, including the autograph, and preserved it.

Are you still with me? Hold on. I’m not done yet.

At Phoenix Con, she then adhered it back to her skin. Now, I’m not sure if she showed it to him during a panel, or ops, or autos, or where. But when she did show it to him, he told her to take it off.

**this is where I get seriously pissed**

So, she takes it off. AND FUCKING THROWS IT AT HIM.

This girl, who claims to love and respect Misha Collins throws a piece of her dry, dead, decaying skin at him. It lands in his lap and his handler has to come pick it up. She tries to excuse it by saying ‘it’s all in good fun’ and that he’s ‘used to her by now’, but let’s make a few things clear.

It’s all in good fun? I’m sorry, I have never once in my life have gone around throwing preserved skin at people for the fun of it. And I’ve asked some of my friends (the ones that wouldn’t call the cops on me for asking such a question) and they all said the same thing. I don’t care if you’re a celebrity or Mary Jane that lives next door, people don’t like having dead skin thrown on them. Especially a stranger’s skin.

Secondly, no matter how many times we meet them, they really don’t know us. They don’t know if you’ve got any diseases. They might not even recognize you, really. How many times have you seen someone at work over and over and over again but don’t really know them? I have. I’ll admit it. And you know what? It is my job to interact and build report with customers. And I’m not a celebrity – I don’t have millions of people begging for time with me.

I guess I made this post for a few reasons:

1.       Is my anger justified or misplaced? Taking into consideration that, while I’ve never met them (Pitt Con is so far away), I do love them like they’re family

2.       I’m open to opinions.

3.       I want to make a PSA that Jared, Jensen, and Misha – hell EVERYONE – are human. Don’t do something to them that you wouldn’t like having done to you. If you wouldn’t like have dead animals thrust into your hand, don’t make them hold one. If you wouldn’t like someone to throw decaying organs on you, don’t do it to them! You paid money for a ticket to the con. You did not pay money to abuse them.

I know I’m going to probably get hate for this, and to be honest, I really don’t care. If you think I’m right, great. I’m glad someone sees this from where I’m at and finds it just as wrong as I do. If you think I’m wrong then… well, you keep doing whatever you think is right. We’ll agree to disagree.

tl;dr – Don’t throw your decaying, preserved skin at Misha because he’s a human and it’s disgusting on so many levels. Show him respect. Show all of them respect. You know Misha is too kind to say anything about how uncomfortable it makes him, so just save everyone from being awkward, and save the fandom from feeling like we have to apologize for the actions of a single fan.
