Peter Parker x Shy Reader

Request: Yes

Summary: Peter and the Reader go to school together, however once Peter shows up at Stark tower, the Reader is curious as to why he is there.

Word Count: 1,930

Warnings: language, fluff, adorableness, talk of powers, annoying Tony, shy reader (bc I’m trash). (Err, that’s it?)

A/N: To the anon that requested this, I hope you like it! I sort of changed it up a little bit, so I hope you don’t mind. The length of this, I apologize, holy shit. I could not find a way to end this. *Also, the Reader’s powers are based on the character Catiana (in case you are wondering!) Please let me know what you guys think of it, I’d love some feedback. Enjoy reading!

Walking into school, you held tightly to your backpack and moved swiftly through the crowd, avoiding an “accidental” bump in with anyone that came unexpectedly.

Since you had a few minutes before your first class, you went to your locker and replaced the books in your backpack with the ones you needed today for classes.

Rolling your eyes and groaning as you picked up your heavy Algebra book, you stuffed it roughly into your backpack.

It’s not that you hated math, it’s just you weren’t that great at it, which definitely bothered you since you were in a class full of legit geniuses.

Not only did that class give you anxiety with being called on or not understanding anything, but it was also because there was one nerd who always caught your attention. The one that should probably be in college level math rather than Algebra in some high school. The one who looked so soft and cuddly. The one with the never ending collection of sweaters.

The one named, Peter Parker.

Ok but have you considered:

McCree doesn’t exist in Sombra’s database because Reaper has obliterated all of his files, all of his information, any tiny little piece of evidence linking him to Overwatch.

Sombra picks up a security feed from eight years ago of what appears to be a strange man dressed as a cowboy involved in a covert Blackwatch operation. No way he’s Overwatch, Sombra, just look at him. Look at the way he’s dressed. Obviously a civilian. Ridiculous.

Sombra stumbles over an old Overwatch manifesto that specifically includes one “Jesse McCree”. Never heard of him. He must have been one of those pathetic recruits that didn’t even make it past basic training. Don’t give me that look, do you think I would just forget any of my former teammates? I’d remember a name like that. He’s probably not even worth hunting down.

Papa Reyes is still protecting his little ingrate.

The Amaris are fair game. That witch Ziegler can rot. Hell, take Jack, too, if you have to.

But don’t you DARE lay a hand on his boy Jesse.

You know what I really want?

For Shouto to take a similar path as aizawa and do most of his work underground, generally trying to stay away from the media. his work is quiet but efficient, his fire and ice tamed and controlled. He comes after villains like a righteous phoenix, his ice perfect to detain without disturbing the still of the night, and also perfect to mute the harsh hiss of his flames.

Years into his hero career, Nedzu kindly recruits Shouto to replace the now - retiring Aizawa. Shouto is, at first, hesitant to take up the job, unsure of his capabilities to teach and handle children, but dadzawa pulls Shouto aside and says, if a novice teacher like all might had been can grace the halls of U.A., then so can Shouto.

Shouto is stiff and proper with his students, but there’s this undeniable serenity around him that makes the students realize he is not as stoic as he looks. Much like Aizawa, he becomes notorious for falling asleep during class, mostly because of all his night patrols, but somehow he retains his impeccable appearance aside from his bloodshot eyes–made even more intimidating by the two different hues–and eye bags.

The students grow fond of their new teacher. Shouto actively goes out of his way to help students individually, especially those with turbulant quirks in need of control. One day, he fondly recalls a “friend” of his to his class, telling them how his “friend"s quirk was so powerful that it broke his bones every time he used it. The students, fascinated by his anecdotes, plead for Shouto to tell them more.

Shouto does, and the students don’t miss the way his expression seems to grow soft, almost affectionate. They never mention it to their teacher, however, not wanting to spook him and put an end to Mr. Todoroki ’ s “five minute story time sessions”.

Eventually, months later, Shouto confesses that he is actually married, his wedding ring hidden by the white gloves of his hero attire. The students don’t miss the soft expression that has formed on their teacher’s face, which is lathered with the same amount of affection their teacher would have whenever he talks about his “friend”.

The students quickly deduce that the “friend” isn’t so much a fond figure of their teacher’s past as he is of the present and future.

In other words, the “friend” is their teacher’s husband.

Slow Dancing (Keith x reader)

Slow Dancing

Keith x reader

Prompt: Imagine teaching Keith how to slow dance.

Music filled the room, its upbeat melody resounding through the hallways of the castle. It wasn’t often that the Paladins had enough time off to relax, but recently Allura thought it would be a good idea to give the team a little down time. So Lance and hunk set up a small party in the living room, and recruiting Pidge to set up a type of sound system. Hunk had worked all morning preparing a spread filled with delicious looking food.

The team laughed and talked, the atmosphere light, everyone seemed more relaxed already. Suddenly the music changed, the upbeat tempo replaced by a slow orchestra. Allura’s eyes light up and she instantly grabs Shiro’s arm, dragging him with her to the open space in the middle of the room.

“You must dance with me Shiro! Alteans are fantastic dancers.” Allura gushed.

“S-sure, Princess.” shiro responded quietly, a light blush reaching his ears. You chuckled at the interaction, but the laugh died in your throat at the feeling of a finger tapping your shoulder. You reflexively rolled your eyes, at the cheesy one liner Lance cooed in your ear. Forcing a smile, you turned to him, your drink clasped tightly in your hand.

“Hello Lance, how can I help you?” you asked politely. Lance stood smiling, charmingly throwing you a wink. He was such a handful, how did Allura do this everyday? From the first moment you stepped foot in the castle, Lance had started flirting with you, the only time he wasn’t was when he was too busy arguing with Keith about something. Lance, always so resilient, reached forward taking your free hand in his.

“(y/n), it would be my deepest honor, if I could have this dance.” he proclaimed. The look in his eyes was enough to make any girl swoon. Lucky for you, over the months you had been with the team, you had built up quite an impressive tolerance to Lance’s charm. Gritting your teeth to keep your smile in place, you glance around, searching for a way out, without hurting Lance’s feelings. Spotting Keith across the table from you, a genuine smile formed on your face, as an idea formed in your mind.

“Actually,” you began, gently pulling your hand from Lance’s. “I already promised Keith I would teach him how to dance! Right Keith?” you said confidently sidestepping the table to take Keith’s arm.

“WHat?” both of them asked in unison. You simply nodded continuing to smile, while pulling Keith to the makeshift dancefloor.

“Yup, that’s right, sorry Lance.” you called, leaving Lance confused, while Pidge and Hunk chuckled as his rejection. Out of earshot, you let out a relieved sigh, loosening your hold on Keith’s arm. “Sorry about that Keith.” you apologised, keeping your voice low enough, that only he could hear. “I would appreciate it if you could pretend to let me teach you how to dance, I would owe you one.” Keith chuckled nervously as you guided his hands to your hips.

“That’s actually no problem, because uh- I don’t actually know how to dance.” your eyes shot up to meet his, wide with surprise.

“Are you serious?” you asked incredulously.  Keith simply nodded, averting his gaze, blushing in embarrassment. Regret filled your stomach, feeling bad for embarrassing him, you jumped to try and make him feel better. Smiling softly you took a step closer to him.

“Don’t worry keith, I’m a great teacher. And with the way you fight in battle, dancing will be easy.” you offered, placing a finger under his chin to draw his gaze back to yours. A small smile lit up Keith’s face, the sight of it caused your heart to jump in your throat. Clearing your throat you focused back on teaching him the basics of ballroom dancing.

He picked it up quicker than you thought, soon he was sweeping you across the dance floor, twirling and spinning you with ease. You couldn’t hold back you laughter, as he lowered you into an exaggerated dip, your laughter was contagious, as soon, Keith found himself laughing along with you, his forehead resting against yours. Keith brought you back up, smiling brightly, opening your eyes, your gaze met keith’s heated stare. Your breath caught in your throat, his intense gaze holding yours. Heat rushed over your skin, feeling Keith’s hands grip the fabric around your waist tighter.

Your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of someone clapping, no, multiple people clapping. Tearing your eyes away from Keith you saw the team gathered around you applauding your performance. Your blush deepened and you gently pushed yourself away from Keith’s arms, smiling sheepishly. Keith tried to hide his disappointment, clearing his throat he rubbed the back of his neck glancing at you once more as you walked towards the team, glancing back at him long enough to catch his eye one more time.

Seeing you smile in that moment made his head swim, and his stomach feel like it was doing cartwheels. How was he ever supposed to look at you the same after that. Keith nearly jumped out of his skin, as Lance came up next to him.
“You totally already knew how to dance loser…”

Sometimes, you absolutely despised how fragile you were as a human being.

You worked for a secret agency who’s main purpose was to act as a personal guard for superheroes. Now, it may seem like having bodyguards for superheroes would be a lost cause, since their duty was to protect the world and save innocent lives with their superpowers. One would like to believe that such heroes would be able to protect themselves, but they didn’t know the half of it.

There’s always some type of danger hidden from their sights, and if the world was to remain safe, then there had to be a group of people that could act as a shield for these superheroes without them knowing about it.

The moment you had completed your training, you were given the name and files pertaining to the hero you were assigned to protect-

And that hero was named Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America.

“Really good.” He crumbled into a fit of laughter as you took another massive bite from your SmokeShack Shake Shack burger. You were sitting across the repurposed wooden table in the crowded restaurant in the depths of New York’s Penn Station when you saw your phone vibrate with a text notification. You slid it over to Mitch. He didn’t have a phone and he was using yours to get in touch with his brother. “Steve is going to meet us at Cipriani Club 55 downtown in three hours. He left a key with his doorman for us to get in and drop off our stuff.” Mitch read the text message on your iPhone, closed it, and slid it back over to you across the table. “What do you want to do for three hours before dinner?”

“Have sex.” You said in a normal speaking tone, eliciting a look from the construction worker sitting next to you eating his own burger. You stared straight at Mitch with a smirk.

“I don’t understand what we are still doing here eating burgers then…” Mitch also ignored the close vicinity of the other burger-eating patrons. You laughed hard. He loved seeing you so carefree and happy. “Should we go?” You nodded and grabbed your bag. “The cabs are upstairs?” Mitch hadn’t been to Penn Station since college, and couldn’t remember the layout.

“Oh, honey, we’re not taking a cab. You’re with a New Yorker. We take the subway.”

“You are so smug right now.” Mitch laughed and pecked you on the lips.

“I’m sorry” were the last words you could ever remember him telling you.

That day you were so fired up with feelings of anticipation and excitement; it was only a few days before your boyfriend was to debut after all. For as long as you could remember, music always had such a strong grasp on Yoongi’s heart. He practically breathed music, hell he probably was made of music itself.

You had always known about how his parents didn’t take too kindly of his passion for music, but you had always been there for him. You, along with his older brother, were the only support he had until he auditioned for an entertainment company called BigHit. Although he placed second in his audition, he still managed to grab a spot as a trainee. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration if you were to claim that you were beyond ecstatic. You were practically bouncing off the walls when Yoongi had told you that he had made it.

You both knew what it meant for your relationship when he became a trainee. He had to work hard and spend most of his time moving towards his dream. This meant less time spent with you, but you knew how much this meant to him. You loved him so much that you prepared yourself for the lack of dates, the lack of communication, the lack of affection shown towards one another. You prepared yourself because you wanted him to fulfil his dream, even if it meant putting a strain on your relationship.

hello! can i get some fluffy headcanons or a scenario (whichever is easiest for you) for the phantom thieves+akechi? like all of them doing stuff together/bonding and being happy if that makes any sense (i'm exhausted.) thank you and i love your blog!!

Awww yessss I live for the fluff!! Thank you so much for loving my blog! ^^ I put them all under one big category, and I also included stuff they’d do with certain individuals! Please enjoy!

Edit: If I forget a gif one more time I’m gonna fight myself. LMAO

The Phantom Thieves:

  • They all have such amazing relationships with each other, thus enabling them to be completely honest about anything, whether it’s internalized emotions or past struggles.
  • When they’re all congregated, silence is a foreign concept. Even when there is a quiet moment, it’s very brief.
  • The group frequently ventures into the city, and the girls will hold each other’s hands. The boys just enviously watch them. just hold hands with each other
  • Although, Ryuji occasionally hangs his arms around Yusuke and Akira. He’ll feel guilty for leaving Akechi out, but it’s too awkward to sling an arm around him, so Ryuji simply opts for patting his shoulder. cue akira teasing them
  • Sleepovers are in rotation between the Thieves; they take place at a different residence every time, and they also occur whenever a teammate’s feeling dejected or depressed.
  • Futaba has a plethora of movies and shows that the group marathons during sleepovers; Makoto orders takeout or pizza.
  • During scary movies, they all hug each other or pull blankets over their heads. except haru because she doesn’t play around
  • Akira flusters everyone with his teasing / flirting, and since Akechi’s the only one that’s able to stand his ground the two duel it out while everyone else ignores them.
  • Akira also knows that Akechi has a certain weakness for dark humor, so he’ll tell jokes at the most inopportune times just to witness Akechi’s face twitch from trying to quell his laughter.
  • Akira always explores around the city to uncover the most entertaining hangouts; his personal favorite is the skating rink despite always injuring himself from wiping out.
  • During the holidays, the group loves going bowling. Futaba is the most inept at bowling; she has to place the ball on the floor and roll it down the lane.
  • Makoto’s the most talented at bowling, although Ann is a close second. The boys are utterly horrendous and one of them managed to get a gutter ball with the barriers up. yes it’s possible i’ve done it rip
  • Yusuke practically begs them to play paintball every weekend; Makoto was the one that introduced him to it since she went with Ryuji once, and Yusuke has been hooked ever since. The group agreed on going at least once a month.
  • Ryuji’s trained with everyone at one point, even Akechi. They went rock climbing once, and Ryuji discovered that he was fairly adept at it, almost as skilled as Akechi.
  • Futaba taught Haru how to use a yo-yo and do cool tricks. She’s also the one that suggested playing laser tag one afternoon, and everyone ended up loving it. especially makoto
  • Ann is the fashion adviser of the group, so if anyone needs a trusted opinion on apparel, she’s the one to talk to.
  • Akechi’s rather well-versed with fashion as well, so Ann requests him to accompany her while she goes shopping.
  • Modeling agencies tend to make attempts at recruiting them, so they have to constantly look out for each other.
  • Sometimes Yusuke will join Ann and Akechi on their shopping trips, and that attracts even more modeling companies.
  • tbh all the thieves are too beautiful to look at directly
  • Yusuke actually accepted a few offers because he misunderstood the situation; he had initially thought that the companies would provide him with models, and Ann had to bail him out.
  • Haru occasionally treats the Thieves by taking them to five-star restaurants; her, Yusuke, and Akechi discover that they have similar tastes in dining.
  • She and Makoto are the two that plan special events for the rest of the Thieves. They’ll sit side-by-side and intermittently rest their heads on the other’s shoulder while they brainstorm. they’re so cute i want twenty
  • Akechi’s true colors are like a complete 180 from his civilized, charismatic demeanor; when Akechi’s completely comfortable around the Thieves, he’s actually very sarcastic and surprisingly playful.
  • He’s also that one friend that sends pictures of trash cans to others with the caption ‘that’s you’. he’s such a jerk i love him

Reunion
Levi X reader

*flash back*

We ran through the crumbling, dirty streets of the underground. Trying to get away from the man chasing us, all because we stole a little food. His threats could be heard, echoing off the walls of old buildings and sketchy allies. None of these threats caused us to stop running though. We speed through intersections and dashed around corners as if we were in a chariot race, begging ourselves not to lose balance as we quickly flung around the sharp turns.
Eventually, we lost the man chasing us after ducking into a doorway of our building which only contained ourselves and two others. The four of us were of no relation, but this didn’t mean we were not a family. I leaned against the wall trying to catch my breath as I watched and heard the man continue on past our home. Once he was gone, I caught a fit of giggles. My short, black haired, grey eyed, stoic faced, “brother”, Levi, glared at me.
“Tch. Of course you would laugh,” He said.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I replied continuing to giggle.
“It means that this is not a laughing magtter.”
“What? Of course it is. We stole from his cart and got away because he was to old and slow.”
“(Y/n), this is serious. Everyone in the underground is battling to survive. We are at the bottom of this food chain, don’t you ever forget that.” Levi then stalked off to the stairs which he climbed to get to our living quarters.
“Such a party pooper,” I mumbled as I followed him up. How had I fallen for this man? Sure I considered him a brother, but not an actual brother. It wasn’t like we were blood related.
We reached the door and Levi gave the secret knock to let Farlan and Isabel know it was us. It was Isabel who ended up opening the door for us. Her brown hair was pulled up and her forest green eyes were as bright as ever.
“You’re back! What did you get us to eat?” She asked. She was the youngest out of all of us. I was the next youngest, then Farlan. This left Levi as the oldest out of us all.
“Well, Isabel, we have apples, oranges, and a fresh loaf of bread,” I exclaimed as the girl became excited.
“A fresh loaf of bread!? How did you guys get your hands on that?”
“We were sneaky and made sure no one was looking.”
“Nice, I’m sure Farlan will be excited to hear this.”
“Where is Farlan?” Levi asked.
“Here. I was just taking a nap. I hear we have a fresh loaf of bread,” Farlan said as he stretched his tired muscles.
“Yes we sure do!” I replied.
“Great.”
*end of flash back*
I ran through the packed streets as I remembered my happy, small, family from years ago. The memory brought up from the current situation I was in. Running from not a single man this time, but a group of men and women. This group was known as the survey corps. Now, usually, this group only goes outside of the walls to fight Titans, but since I was dumb enough to try to steal in front of them, they were now chasing me. Where had my skills gone? This did not matter though because I was going to escape. I always did.
I speed through ally ways and flung myself around corners as I tried to escape the group. Eventually, I was able to get away when I turned a corner and ran into an open doorway. I leaned against the wall and tried to catch my breath as I heard the group continue on their search. Once I thought I heard them all pass, I put my hood up and left the building, making my way back to the underground. That was until a figure landed in front of me. I looked up and gasped in shock as I looked at the man in front of me. He was the same ornery looking guy he was when I knew him, but something had changed. His eyes looked darker as if he had been through a lot in the past ten years. As quickly as he landed I sped off, he didn’t need me making a mess out of this better life of his.
Levi began chasing after me and after awhile I lost him, or thought I lost him. As soon as I turned a corner to regain my breath, he flew right in front of me. Levi had gotten better at using the 3dm gear.
“Stop. There is no chance of you fucking escaping,” he said in a monotone voice. Funny how some things didn’t change.
“Why should I stop running Levi, that’s all I have ever done. Steal something and run,” I replied as I took off my hood. For a second I could have sworn I saw a glimpse of surprise in those stoic eyes, but as soon as it had appeared it had vanished.
“(Y/n). Should have known it was you. You’re the only one out of group who would have been stupid enough to try to steal in front of a group of survey courps.”
“Ouch. Still as harsh and mean as ever. Makes me happy to know you stayed the same the ten years you’ve been gone.” Once again it seemed his eyes flashed emotion, this time hurt, but I was probably seeing things.
“You haven’t changed much either, have you?”
“Nope. Same old wacky girl who likes to take chances.”
“I see that.”
“So, how has the whole fam been the past ten years. You know after you left me behind and all,” I said, my glare focused of the short man.
“Well, where to start. Farlan and Isabel are dead, have been for awhile now. Otherwise the "fam” is still intact.“ The instant I heard those words leave his mouth, I could feel my heart break. That couldn’t be true, he was probably just trying to hurt me to get back at my other comments.
"That’s a lie Levi.”
“It’s not…no matter how much I wish it was.” This time I knew I wasn’t seeing things, Levi’s eyes watered a bit as his voice softened.
“No,” was all I could say before falling to my knees as tears fell from my face. Sure I was pissed that the three of them left me, but they were still my one and only family. I would have never wanted them to die.
I didn’t even realize Levi had come closer to me. This was a factor as to why I jumped when he put a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him to see he was looking right back at me, his eyes watering but not a single tear shed. Soon the rest of the squad showed up, Levi now only standing behind me.
“Nice job, Levi. Now we can take her to the military police,” a tall man with blond hair and caterpillars for eyebrows said. My eyes widened as I thought of what was going to happen to me. I mean I knew, I was going to be most likely executed, but my mind didn’t want to just stop there. All of these terrible punishments passed through my mind until I heard Levi speak.
“No. She can be made into a new member of the survey legion. She has the speed, agility, and stealth that any new scout would need when facing Titans. Why waste this opportunity, we are low on recruits right now.” I glanced up in shock as I heard what could be my punishment.
“We do need more recruits and she does have some good qualities. If your willing to train and watch her, then I guess we don’t need to get the military police involved in this,” caterpillar eyebrows answered.
“I can take care of this brat with no problem,” Levi replied.
“Alright,” big eyebrows then looked down at me, “Welcome to the survey corps.” The man then walked off, followed by the other confused members of the group. All of them unsure of what had just happened.
“Get up brat,” Levi commanded me. I stood but swiftly turned to face him.
“What the hell was that!? Sentencing me to my own death?” I yelled.
“I didn’t sentence you to your fucking death brat. If anything I gave you the chance to live.”
“Really? The first instant we go outside of those walls I am going to be a Titans meal and you damn well know it.”
“Maybe you will, but at least I gave you an option to fucking live where as if you had gone to the damn military police you would have been executed because you stole a fucking loaf of bread in front of a big ass group of survey corps members.” Levi then stormed off, following the group he had come with. “Come on.” He said. I followed his command as I thought of what he had said. He wasn’t really wrong, if he hadn’t given me this chance I would have been killed. At least with this option I could possibly survive if I was lucky. It still gave me a chance.

*time skip*

A week had passed and I was already exhausted from all the training Levi was forcing me to do. Everyday single day I had to get up early to run. Then we would go back to eat breakfast. Next was training to fight which we did until lunch. After we ate we would go out to work with the 3dm gear which I found I was good at, considering I had used it a little bit in the underground, and then dinner. Then it was back out for more fighting. By the time we would end it would be dark and I would be too exhausted to even shower. Let’s just say it wasn’t a fun experience, I almost wished that I had been taken to the military police instead of here.
I woke up once more to get ready for the first activity of the day. Running. I dressed, brushed my teeth, put my hair up in a ponytail, put deodorant on and left to go outside to meet Levi in our usual spot, the front door of the survey corps headquarters. I walked out the door to see Levi leaning against the wall waiting for me like usual.
“Morning Levi,” I yawned.
“Morning brat,” was all he said before starting up our run. I groaned as I caught up to him.
“So how much longer do I have to keep doing this? It is literally killing me. I am getting to the point where I am too tired to even walk.”
“We will keep this up until I think you’re ready.”
“How close am I to being ready?”
“Not even.”
“Are you kidding me right now? I am able to keep up with you now when we run laps, I can fight almost as well as you now, and I can basically beat you at using the 3dm gear. I think I am pretty close to being ready.”
“Just because you are getting better does not mean you are ready. You need to be able to think ahead when ever you fight. A Titan is not going to give you a heads up when it is coming up to attack you or try to grab you. Same thing with the 3dm gear. You need to feel like you are a part of the machine so that way you can focus less on your movements and more on what you need to do to take a Titan down. You think you can kill a Titan with knowledge of how to fight and use our gear? Well your wrong because there is a lot more to it than just that.” I watched him as he spoke, realizing that he was right. If I had any chance of surviving I would have to do better than just train, I’d have to flow.
“Alright, I understand, but is there anyway I can take a day off or something just so I can refresh and reenergize?”
“Maybe one day, brat. Depends on how you do today I guess.”
“Deal.” It was quiet for the run after that, neither of us speaking. Once we finished I went to my room and changed into the uniforms we had to wear. I then went down to the food hall to get breakfast. The instant I walked through the door and into the hall, I rushed to the food and grabbed as much as I was aloud and walked to the table I had to sit at. That’s right, Levi’s table. It didn’t really bother me, but I wouldn’t have minded if I had some freedom.
I placed my food down and began scooping it in, my hunger bringing me past the point of trying to eat like a normal human. I had gotten used to being fed constantly, but with all the training I was doing it made me even hungrier. I was eating away when I heard the tch noise Levi always makes. I chewed, swallowed, and looked up at Levi.
“What?” I asked.
“Do you really have to eat like you’re a Titan?” He answered with his own question.
“Yes I do. First of all, I had never been given, a definite, three meals a day most of my life, and second, all of this training is making me even more hungry.”
“Doesn’t give you the right to eat like that though.”
“If you don’t like how I eat then move. If not then get used to it.” I then began scooping the food back into my mouth as Levi sat down beside me, giving up in his attempt to make me look normal. I soon finished my meal and left to start fighting. Soon lunch passed and it was time to practice with the 3dm gear, which was becoming my favorite part of the day.
We walked over to the tall trees that we would be using to train on. I smiled up as we finally reached the thick forest.
“Want to have a match levi?” I asked trying to make this more interesting.
“Why?” He replied.
“Make this entertaining. I mean it already is fun, but to make it just a bit more fun than usual.”
“I guess.”
“Yes!” I jumped up and down. The feeling of being a kid again passed through my head as I did this. Levi glaring at me for being silly as I danced, laughed, or jumped at anything that excited me. To bad the past was the past. “Alright ready short stuff?”
“What did you call me brat.”
“Oh, you heard me,” I said as I shot the 3dm gear wires into a tree causing me to speed through the air. I continued shooting the wires and flinging though the air as I tried to find the first wooden Titan I would take down. An opening appeared through the trees, a Titan dummy standing in the middle of it. I sped to it. Right before I could cut into its wooden neck, Levi flung in front of me and took it out.
“Damn it,” I cursed as I continued on.
By the end of it Levi won, no shocker there really.
“Damn it Levi. I thought I had you,” I said as I landed beside him in front of the forest which we had entered.
“Told you you weren’t ready yet.” Was all he said before walking back to the headquarters.
“I’m getting there though.”
“Sure.” As we walked I began thinking of how we used to be when our family lived together in the underground. Levi the leader with Farlan as his second in command. Me and Isabel were just there because they were willing to take us in. I remembered how in love I had been with Levi, my feelings hidden for good reasons. The memories passed through my thoughts and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“(Y/n), are you okay?” Levi asked seeming bothered by my outburst.
“I’m remembering the time when we first got the 3dm gear and tried it out. How Isabel was so excited to try it, and how when she did she flew into the cardboard boxes in the alley.” I looked at Levi to see a slight smirk on his usual stoic face. This caused my heart to race as I thought of how I caused that rare smirk to appear. Seems like those feelings had never left.
“I remember that. I also remember how when you tried it out you didn’t have any better fucking luck. You ran into the wall. I remember how scared I was when I saw you just laying on the ground, silent for once in your life. Then when I ran to your side to check on you you began laughing uncontrollably.”
“Wait, go back for a second. You were worried about me? That’s a first,” I chuckled.
“Believe me. I may not seem like I have emotions, but I do, and that moment terrified me. I though we might have lost you.”
“Wow Levi, I didn’t know your were that worried about me that day.”
“I worried a lot about you. You were the one to always do stupid shit that would either get you in trouble or injured and it seems this never changed.”
“Well, I’m glad I could cause the heartless man to worry. And you’re damn straight I didn’t change. Then you would have never found me stealing.”
“I do have a heart you shit. I just don’t express it.”
“This is noted,” I said. The rest of the way to headquarters was quite and so was the rest of the day. When I got in my room I took a quick shower and then went straight to bed. The pillows and blankets soft underneath me, dragging me into a deep slumber.
*time skip*

I woke to the sun shining on my face, which caused me to start getting ready for the day. I began to think over the past month as I began getting ready. Things between Levi and I had changed. We were close again just like we had many years ago. Also with in this past month my feelings for the sour faced man had strengthened no matter how much I tried to avoid it.
“Perfect,” I spoke to myself in the mirror. “Fall in love with your childhood crush who could possibly die right I front of you. Just perfect.” I finished my morning routine and went to open my door to see Levi standing in front of it. This was new.
“Levi, why are you at my door?” I asked.
“I needed to tell you that there will be no training today.”
“So, I finally get a free day. This is a first. What’s the special occasion short fry.” Now, usually, anyone who made fun of Levi would be severely punished, but not me. At least not anymore, he gave up trying after a week when he realized it wasn’t going to stop. So, instead he took a deep breath before replying.
“Tomorrow we go outside the wall to try to take back some of our territory.” This answer instantly shot down my excitement. The only reason for this day off was so we could prepare for tomorrow.
“Oh. I see. So…what do I need to do?”
“All you’ll do today is prepare your horse and outfit for tomorrow. Otherwise you are free.”
“What do you do.”
“Same thing, but I will also help Erwin make plans for tomorrow.”
“Sounds fun,” I said trying to lighten the gloomy atmosphere.
“Relax (y/n). Spend time with the others, enjoy today. You deserve this.” I lost it when I heard him say this.
“I deserve this? I’m only getting this day off because I might not make it back tomorrow. What is this? Is it supposed to be a "make your possible last day of life the best you can.” “
"You’re right,” that’s all he said before turning around and walking away. I wanted to chase after him, what reason, I don’t know. All I knew was that I wanted to spend this possible last day with him, but that was never going to happen.
I shut my door, went to my bed, and plopped down on it. Thoughts of what could happen tomorrow flowing through my head. A Titan picking me up and eating me flashed through my thoughts as I began to shake in fear. I knew this day was coming, I just thought I would have been mentally prepared, but I wasn’t.
When I regained my composure I walked out of my room and to the mess hall for breakfast. I grabbed my food and went to the table I had been sitting at for the past month. As I walked towards it I began focusing in on every face I passed. Engraving each one into my mind so that way if I survived I would know that those who didn’t would never be forgotten. At least not by me.
I arrived at my table and sat. Petra, Eld, Gunther, and Oluo only watched as I quietly sat. Nothing was said for awhile, they weren’t sure what to say and I just stared at my food trying to process what was going to happen. Finally the silence ended when Petra decided to speak.
“So, (y/n), you ready for tomorrow?” I looked up at her slowly, all emotion wiped from my face and voice.
“No.”
“Don’t worry, that’s what all new recruits say the day before their first mission.” She smiled at me as if that would change how I would felt.
“That’s understandable considering that they just might not make it back.” My comment caused her smile to dim a bit before lighting back up.
“This is true, but let me tell you a secret. If you dwell on this fact, you will not only sadden yourself, but also get yourself killed. You must accept your possible fate and live like you normally would, otherwise this life can become a lot harder for you. Will you do this for me?” I didn’t answer for a while as I thought about it. Maybe she was right. I mean it must work for her, she’s always chipper.
“Sure, I’ll try my best,” I answered, a small smile adjourning my face.
“Good.” This was when Levi joined the table with his morning tea. He sat beside me.
“You feeling less defensive now?” He asked.
“Yes. I was just in shock, that’s all.”
“Kinda figured.” I began to finally eat, my food now cold but still good. I was half way through my meal when Levi began explaining everything to us.
“(L/n), you will be joining my squad.”
“Are you serious!? I’m not that good, I’ll get you guys killed.”
“You will not. You’ll be perfectly fine.”
“We have your back (y/n),” Petra added.
“Thank you,” I replied. Levi then began explaining further what tomorrow would be like. When he finished he left leaving the rest of us at the table. Eventually we all left to prepare for the next day. I got my horse and outfit ready like I was told, and then spent the rest of the day with my squad.
*time skip*
I rushed around the room getting ready for the mission. I grabbed what I needed and rushed to the hall to get breakfast. After we ate I was stopped by Levi.
“Listen to me. Don’t you fucking get killed out there you understand me?”
“I understand Levi.” I replied
“Good, now go catch up with the others brat.” I left like I was told and followed everyone to the stables to get our horses so we could begin our journey to the exit of the wall. The ride there seemed like ages, time slowly passing. The whole time I tried to hide my shaking, but failed. Petra, the only one to notice, would smile at me trying to comfort me. I’d smile back and then go back to shaking. I looked at Levi to see him staring at me. I blushed and looked away. ‘Why did I not tell him how I felt. If this is my last day I would have at least liked to have told him how I actually felt even if he didn’t feel the same.’ I thought. 'At least I could have passed knowing I had finally told him.’
I continued to think until we arrived at the exit we planned of leaving through. Once we got there my mind went blank. This was it, we were about to leave the wall. This was the last time I would see most of my comrades alive, considering many of them would not be returning. I looked around and saw anything from blank faces to faces that were similar to mine, pure and utter fear. This moment felt longer than the entire ride here, fear taking its course. It was silent until Erwin’s voice broke it with a loud onward.
The horses began to race through the gate on command. Soon we were outside of the wall and in Titan territory. It wasn’t till we got close to our target that I saw my first Titan. It was huge! It stood on its legs as it tried to run towards a group at our right. The group instantly went on attack mode as the Titan approached closer. It didn’t take long before it was taken out. The Titans continued coming until we reached the forest. Levi had explained that we would have to go in there to get to our destination. He had also said that we would all have to watch carefully because the Titans could appear Anywhere in the woods. This did little to calm me down, but I remembered what Petra had told me the day before. This calmed me little, but it was better than how I originally was going to enter the forest.
Everything was fine until we heard a scream in the back of the woods where everyone else was. This seemed to be a signal for other Titans to attack in the forest because a few minuets later a Titan jumped in front of our squad. I screamed a little as it had popped out of no where, but this didn’t scare anyone else in the squad.
“Eld and Gunther take it out,” Levi ordered. There was no hesitation from them as they shot off of their horses and into the air. “Brat, keep the horses from running away,” Levi ordered me as he handed me the straps from Eld’s and Gunther’s horses. I took them and made sure not to let go.
It wasn’t long until the Titan was killed and a new one took its place. After each kill another would come. It got to the point where we all had to get off our horses to try and help fight the Titans. I was doing well, killing Titan after Titan, until a Titan no one saw grabbed me. I screamed in pure terror as I looked into the crazy eyes of the Titan that had captured me. Hot tears were streaming down my face as I realized this was it, that I was going to die. My life flashed before my eyes as I was slowly raised to the Titans gigantic mouth. I closed my eyes so I no longer had to watch my own death. I pictured Levi as I awaited my death, regretting the fact that he would never know how I felt. At least he would be with me in my final thoughts.
I took one last breath in as I felt the Titans lungs exhale as air blew across me. Right before the Titan could kill me though, it was taken out. I had no clue who it was because the instant it fell I blacked out.
*time skip*
Everything was black, not any light to be seen. At first I thought I was dead, considering there was nothing but black surrounding me, but then I felt my heart beat against my chest, signaling that I was, indeed, alive. I tried opening my eyes, but they wouldn’t budge from their closed state. I internally groaned. I wanted to wake up and figure out how the heck I had survived. At the moment, I could only remember being grabbed by the Titan and screaming, but that was it. Everything after that was blank.
My eyes stayed impossible to open until a few minuets later when I felt the imaginary heavy weights lift off of them. My eyes flew open as light clouded into them. This caused me to have to blink crazily until my eyes adjusted to the light once more. Once I could see, I looked around. I was in an infirmary room laying on a white bed, my body covered in its white blankets. The rest of the room shared the same bland color of the bed I was in making everything seem brighter than it should be. I then saw a man in a chair beside my bed. It took me a few minuets to figure out that it was no other than Levi sleeping in the chair. He seemed to look normal except for the red puffy eyes he had. Had he been crying? That seemed impossible to me considering the man never seemed to show emotion at all.
I couldn’t help but stare at him as he slept, trying to figure out if I was just seeing things or if his puffy eyes were indeed real. A half hour passed before he finally stirred from his sleep. My assumption was proven true when I saw his eyes open to reveal blood shot eyes. It took a few minuets for the short man to figured out I was awake. When he did he instantly rushed to my side.
“You fucking idiot! You almost got fucking killed you dumb shit! I told you not to get killed and look what you fucking did you almost got fucking killed!” Levi was screaming at me in a fury I had only seen a few times in the month I had been here at the survey corps headquarters. I cowered back a bit, trying to escape the fuming man by sinking into the bed.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t see that Titan coming. If I had I would have killed it,” I whispered.
“You’re sorry!? I almost lost you, damn it. I almost lost you just like the others,” he quieted down as he finished.
“Levi, what do you mean by others?”
“Farlan and Isabel.”
“What, they were in the survey corps too?”
“Yes.”
“Is that why you left and never came back?” I quietly looked down as I asked.
“Yes, but we had no choice.”
“You didn’t have a choice Levi? Of course you did,” I said bitterly. I was still touchy around the whole being left behind bit, and the fact that he said there was no choice let it resurface. Levi never explained what truly happened and I deserved to know considering I almost died. “You had a choice to join. You know how long I waited for you three to come home. Months. I waited months. I worried for months. I was scared you had gotten caught. I asked around the underground if anyone had heard anything, seen anything. There was nothing. It was if you fell off the face of the earth. Eventually I gave up, I realized you three left me behind. I thought I had done something wrong, I thought it was my fault you left. You were the only family I had and you left, just like my parents. If I am wrong in my understanding of this then please do explain because I really would like to be out of the dark now.”
“We didn’t have a choice ( y/n). What happened to you, happened to us. We were being chased by the survey corps. I thought we had escaped, but that was when Erwin landed in front of us along with the others, trapping us. They kicked us to the ground. Erwin explained that I had two options, let Farlan, Isabel, and me be put in prison or join the survey corps. I couldn’t let them go to prison so I said we’d join. I hated how I felt, being trapped with each option being terrible. And don’t you think I didn’t feel bad about never being able to fucking tell you what was going to happen. I begged them to let me go back to tell you but the basterds wouldn’t let me. I carried that guilt for years! Then on one of our missions outside of the wall I split from my group to kill a Titan. I told Farlan and Isabel to stay with the group, they still listened to me even though I wasn’t their leader anymore,” he chuckled humorlessly. “So, I was off killing a Titan while the rest of my group was continuing on the path they were to go. See even then I was considered one of the best Titan killers and this caused my ego to sky rocket making me belive I could do anything. Let’s just say I learned my lesson that day.” Levi stopped talking. He lowered his head so he was looking at his legs. I knew where this was going, but I needed to know for sure.
“Levi, what happened?”
“I killed that Titan,” he said. That’s when I saw a single tear fall into his lap. He couldn’t be crying right? “But after I did I heard screams behind me. I figured it was another group and began heading over in that direction to help them. When I got there, I found a massacre. Limbs were lying everywhere. Blood was covering everything.” He paused and took a shaken breath. I had never seen Levi like this, I had never seen him show emotion in general, but this was strange. “I watched as the Titans were still munching on people. I then heard a scream that sounded like Farlan’s but I thought I was hearing things. It wasn’t till I heard my name being screamed that I turned in that direction to see a Titan with Farlan in its disgusting hands. I rushed over, but I was to late. I watched the fucking thing kill Farlan. The fucking bastered ate everything but his head.” Levis voice cracked as he said this. I watched as more tears split from his eyes and onto his lap. The site broke my heart and I began crying as well as I thought of what my two “siblings” had gone through. What horror they had faced. How they knew they were going to die. I hugged Levi as we cried together. A few minuets passed before Levi calmed down and pulled away from me to continue the story.
“That Titan, I killed it, but not instantly. No, I slowly killed it. I cut the damn monster to shreds and it wasn’t until I knew it was suffering that I finally ended its life. After that I fell to my knees and cried until Erwin came to get me. The only I had family was killed by them and it was all my fault. Had I not been so fucking cocky, had I just stayed with them, they would be here alive and well. But no I didn’t. They are dead because of me. Because I let us get caught by the survey corps, because I decided joining them was a better decision, because I left them. I was all of your leaders and I failed you all.” Levi looked up at me as tears continued to fall from his eyes. “And to make it all better, I almost let you die that same fucking way as they did. I almost got you killed too, the last family I had and I almost got you killed. You would think I would learn the first fucking time, but no I had to do it again.”
“Levi it wasn’t your fault. There is nothing you could have done to save Farlan and Isabel. It was their choice to listen as much as it was your choice to tell them to stay, and you never failed us. We all knew you did what you did because you knew what was best for us. You gave us all a family made of four kids who thought they would always be alone. That is more than enough to prove how you didn’t fail us. They might have died, but that was out of your hands and you did your best to stop that. That was all you could do,” I said as I watched Levi look back down at his legs. I picked his head up in my hands and made him look at me. “And there is no way in hell that you failed me. You saved me did you not, I am assuming you killed the Titan that had me, am I right?” Levi shook is head yes. “So you didn’t fail me Levi. I am still hear breathing air because you saved me. Don’t you ever dare to forget that. Do you understand me?”
“Yes.”
“Good,” I smiled. “Now may I tell you something?”
“Yes, what is it?” Levi asked as he wiped his tears from his face.
“I have wanted to tell you this before we went on the mission in case I didn’t make it, but I couldn’t get up the courage. I think this close encounter with death has helped me decide to tell you now.” I paused before going on. “Levi, I have felt this feeling for you since we were kids. When you left I forgot about this feeling and it wasn’t until I found you again that I realized what it was. Levi, I love you, and I know you might not fe-” my sentence was interrupted by a pair of rough lips agains mine. My eyes widened in shock at the realization of what was happening, but then closed as I relaxed into it. The kiss started off as soft and unsure, but quickly changed to passionate and loving the instant Levi realized I was kissing him back. We broke apart from each other to catch our breaths.
“So does this mean that short stuff loves me too?” I chuckled.
“Yes you dumb shit,” he answered.
“Good, I was hoping you would.” I then kissed him once more. We broke apart once more, this time Levi began talking.
“Just so you know, training is not going to become easier for you.”
“ I figure as not, but a girl could dream right?”

before you start a war (you better know what you’re fighting for)

Percy had been expecting pizza.

He was right in the middle of two shifts and starving beyond belief, so excuse him for not being friendlier when he opened the door and two disgruntled looking strangers were staring back at him instead of cheese and pepperoni.

Strange people bothering you at inconvenient times was a staple of New York life, but he wasn’t in the mood for a lecture about the true faith or the endless benefits to being vegan.

The wheelchair ridden man and blond girl in front of him were not people he’d met before and the intensity of the man’s gaze was unsettling

“Uh―” he fixated on the graying face directly in front of him, grasping for the easiest way to end this interaction. “Jehovah’s Witnesses usually have more success next door,” he said, before pushing the door shut with his hand.

Usually, this signalled that he could go on with his day, but a hand jetted out and stopped his door from fully closing, and even the accompanying thud sounded foul tempered. He groaned and considered going for his mother’s stash of pepper spray until he saw the man’s well meaning smile. His face was fraught with the type of wrinkles people get from smiling, and retrospectively he probably shouldn’t have slammed the door in the face of an old guy in a wheelchair.

“Percy Jackson?” he ventured “My name is Chiron, and I’d like you on my team.”

That was not something he had been expecting. Part of him wanted to shove the door shut again and move on, but something about the earnest expression on Chiron’s face was hard to avoid.

“You know, there are more efficient ways of inducting people into your cults. Maybe try for a shiny brochure next time.”

A disbelieving scoff cut through the bemused silence Chiron offered him. Percy’s gaze moved to the girl leaning against the bannister opposite him. She was wearing massive sunglasses with some college sweatshirt his dyslexia prevented him from recognizing, and was looking at him with thinly veiled disgust.

“Chiron, I told you this was a waste of―” her voice cut off as Chiron placed his hand on her shoulder. Something about the way she shook her golden curls out in irritation seemed inexplicably familiar. Her face was still furrowed at him like he was something she found on the bottom of her shoe. He had been dealing with being looked down upon all his life, but for her to march up to his door in order to recruit him for whatever and still maintain her self-righteous attitude was beyond grating. Perhaps Chiron was more observant than Percy gave him credit for, because his interruption was the only thing that stopped Percy from offering a few choice words about where she could stick her superiority complex.

“Contrary to popular belief, Olympus University isn’t a cult. Neither is our exy team.”

Maybe this was some cruel dream, because there was no way in hell someone showed up at his apartment to talk about an Ivy League college. He took a gap year and was working two jobs just to save up for tuition at community college. Olympus University was legendary. It was the type of place someone like him would never enter, unless he was hired to clean it. Their exy team, the Spartans, had been plastered across every major sports channel for the last couple months. They were a consistent team, who rose consistently in the rankings for the last couple of years, and the addition of two first draft strikers last year was supposed to guarantee them a spot in the championship. There had been some drama that he hadn’t cared enough to pay attention to that derailed their chances, and they were disqualified. Not a single sportscaster thought that they’d be able to recover, neither did most fans. Some people even thought that they would be demoted to Class II. Showing up here and asking him to join their team was proof of exactly how desperate they were.

“How did you even find me?” he asked “I’m pretty sure my high school exy coach didn’t send tapes to colleges.”

“He didn’t have to. Your statistics speak for themselves.”

Percy would be lying if he pretended he wasn’t flattered. There was a point during high school where exy was the centerpoint of his life. Some of his friends even thought he was good enough to go pro one day. His subpar inner city school switched coaches right before his senior year, and Mrs. Dodds was quick to remind him that professional athletes didn’t have learning disabilities or struggle to pay rent. He knew that no colleges received letters of recommendation or tapes of him playing, and an athletic scholarship would have been his only shot at continuing his education.

“Blondie’s right.” he admitted “You’re wasting your time. College isn’t something I can afford.”

Chiron raised an eyebrow at that and took a thick enrollment packet out of his leather bag. Even its glossy pages looked too high class for Percy.

“We’re offering you a full scholarship. All you have to do to qualify is sign on with the Spartans as a striker through graduation.”

Percy almost choked. “You’re not serious.”

“Unfortunately, we are.” the blonde girl’s voice was clear and defiant and it was startling how easily the sound of it filled him with irritation. “And that’s not all you have to do. If you’re playing with me, you aren’t going to half ass this.”

“Annabeth, enough,” Chiron scolded, “Try to refrain from scaring him off, please.”

“Wait. You’re Annabeth Chase?” his voice sounded incredulous even to his own ears and if the flush that began to spread across her face was anything to go by, that wasn’t a good sign. He probably should have surmised this sooner, but the girl in front of him was wearing ratty clothes and looked like she hadn’t slept in a month. Annabeth Chase was a legend. The Princess of Exy. In interviews she always was dressed to perfection and was so confident he always imagined her with a tiara. The Annabeth Chase in front of him had all the bravado that was always advertised, but she seemed broken and exhausted.

He didn’t miss the way her fists clenched after that comment, and the smile she shot him as she pushed her sunglasses up to her hairline was downright terrifying.

“This season is more important than you can comprehend,” she ground out, “If you’re on my court you play by my rules. Don’t sign on just because it’s an out.”

Her eyes met his in a silent challenge, and he swore to himself that he would do this, just to wipe that condescending look off her face.

“Trust me, princess. I can handle anything you throw at me.” Perhaps it was the inner six year old in him, but he swore he heard cheering when she flicked her eyes away from his.

He grabbed the enrollment packet from Chiron’s outstretched hands.

“When can I start?”

______

The smile you wore when speaking to them was all a facade. In reality there was a lot going wrong at the camp, and you couldn’t help but feel something bad was about to happen. The magical barrier around the camp was faltering. Multiple monsters had wandered inside the borders, luckily being taken out before anyone found out. Only you, Kaldur, the camp council, and a few others knew of the breaches.

You had talked with Zatanna about the fluctuations but she had yet to have any answers for you. Leading to your stressed state about this all.

Not to mention you also had a missing person to deal with. M’gann had taken to mentoring a young man by the name of Garfield Logan, sharing the same immortal mother. He had a hard time coming to terms with his heritage. Thinking his adoptive mother was his actual mother for his entire life, however she has passed. Garfield had taken sometime away from the camp in order to visit his old home. You sent along a protector but he still hasn’t returned when he was supposed to three days prior.

M’gann was on your heels about this, but there was only so much you could do without proof of foul-play. You had informed the League but that was as far as you could go.

“You are thinking about Garfield.” Kaldur stated as you both walked toward the stables. He could read you like a book. Kaldur was the only other child of the Big Three in the camp. The Big Three being Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades. You are both the strongest and believed to become the strongest out of the League as well. It is known that children of the three are more powerful than any Demigods.

Sighing you nodded, “I wish there was more I could do, but the League claims they have things handled. I know I should have trust in them but Garfield is apart of this camp, making him my responsibility.” A tone of frustration more than evident.

“I understand your frustrations, but you must remember to deal with the problems at hand. We must figure out this problem with the barrier.” Kaldur reasoned. Looking at him letting out a breath, “You’re right. Let’s go talk to Zatanna again. See if she has anything more figured out.” Rerouting your path toward the library.

Kaldur and you idly chatted while making your way to the library, brainstorming some problems that could be causing the fragility of the barrier. When entering the library you found Zatanna in her usual spot in the back. Her eyes glued to a book hovering in front of her, two others floating next to her.

“Earth to Zatanna. Daughter of Hecate do you copy?” You joked, covering your mouth with your hand. Her eyes peeked up from her book. “[F/N], Kaldur what brings you by?” She looked between the both of you.

“Do you have any more answers on the barrier?” Kaldur asked as you both sat in front of her. She shook her head, “No. I have read nearly every spell and magic book here and I haven’t found a solution.” She sighed, obviously feeling the pressure from all of this.

“You know what, we’re all stressed. How about we leave this to sit for a night, go to the claiming ceremony, and deal with the rest of this tomorrow?”  You offered, looking at your just as overwhelmed friends. They nodded in agreement, all standing you made your way out of the library to head to the dining hall. Each of you talking about something other than your duties to the camp.

Zatanna was explaining a new spell until Wally came running up to the three of you. “Hey [F/N]!” he called as the three of you stopped to look at him. “What’s up Wally? Where are the new recruits?” Eyes wandering the surrounding area.

“Dick and Miss M took them to the dining hall, but the head of the Council wanted me to tell you they want to meet with you now.” He explained, giving you a sorry expression.

“So much for a break” Your shoulders slacking. “Thanks Wally, I’ll see you guys at the ceremony I guess.” Saying to your friends before heading to where the council held meetings.

The Council consisted of top members of the league. Those members being, Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, Oliver Queen, Diana Prince, Barry Allen, J’onn J’onzz, and Arthur Curry. Some of the most powerful Demigods and goddesses.

Walking into the main cabin at the back of the camp, you made your way to the council’s chambers. Upon entering they all turned their attention to you. “[F/N]” Bruce called your attention. “Is something wrong?” You asked, gaze switching to each member.

“We’re wondering as to what is being done about the barrier.” J’onn was the next to speak up. You nodded in understanding, “Zatanna is doing everything in her power to figure out the problem. Until then, those of us aware of the breaches have been alternating patrols throughout the night to keep from anymore monsters entering the borders.” Explaining while trying to ease their worries.

They all nodded, “Um, if you wouldn’t mind me asking. Have you had any more luck with finding Garfield?” Questioning hesitantly.

“I’m afraid we have not.” Diana said, giving you the answer you feared. Diverting your gaze to the floor, “I understand. Is there anything else?”

The League members shook their heads, “No, that is everything. We will be leaving the claiming ceremony to you as well. We have some urgent league business to attend too, thank you [F/N].”

You nodded to them respectfully before turning on your heels and walking out. Dreading the long walk to the ceremony. At least this was something you weren’t in charge of, this was all Dick’s department. Him, Wally, and M’gann were by far some of the friendliest in the camp, making them the best for the job.

And that they are.

The ceremony preparations went off without a hitch and nearly everyone was gathered in the dining hall. Everyone eager to know the parentage of the new demigods in their home. Often times the half bloods would play a game by trying to guess who the newbies parents were.

Jason, Kori, and Roy constantly felt eyes on them and heard chuckling after whispers. The three were all a bit confused, not knowing about this tradition. “Uh, hey Dick. What is everyone talking or more whispering about?” Roy asked the Demigod sitting across from him.

“Oh, it’s a little game the residing half bloods play. Whenever new Demigods or goddesses join the camp, they try and guess who their parents are by their appearance and skills. Sometimes it’s obvious but others it’s a challenge.” Dick explained cheerily, Roy and Kori exchanged an amused glance while Jason was unaffected by the new information. Why would he care about who they thought was his mother? He knows Athena is his mother, she saved him from becoming a permanent resident in Hades’ realm.

However Roy and Kori were rather curious. They listened around, chuckling at some of the suggestions. “What do you guys think?” Kori asked looking at their three tour guides and Zatanna who had joined them. The four exchanged a look. Dick held his chin examining the three, “Hmmm, well I know Jason’s so I will skip him. But Roy I think you might be Apollo like me, you’re archery skills are quite impressive. Kori I’m thinking Aphrodite because you’re gorgeous.” Dick flirted, making Kori laugh and Jason roll his eyes. ‘Leave it to Demigod of flirting to hit on Kori’ Jason thought while glaring at Dick.

Jason doesn’t have feelings for Kori or anything, but he sees her as a sister. Making him protective. Though Jason’s thoughts were cut off by Dick turning to the others, “What about you guys?”

“I kind of agree with you Dick, but I can’t read you Jason” M’gann looked over the three. “I think Aphrodite too, you’re very handsome Jason” Zatanna chimed in, not completely flirting with him but leaving the assumption out there.

Jason was taken aback by the compliment, but his expression didn’t show it. He was in fact a bit turned off by the accusation. Aphrodite? Was she kidding? Looks was the only reasoning?

Jason was about to reject the accusation but they all heard the doors to the dining hall open and close. Diverting his attention there seeing you walk in, looking rather stressed. Witnessing as you walked over next to Kaldur, leaning next to him. Your hands interlocking behind your neck while you threw your head back, presumably letting out a groan. He couldn’t help but wonder what had you stressed.

He was so busy watching he hadn’t realized Dick was telling them it was time for the ceremony. “Jay!” Dick shook his shoulder. “What?” growling shortly. “The ceremony, do you want to miss it?” Dick said calmly, being used to Jason’s temper.

“Yeah, let’s just get this done” he stood up and followed his two friends. Dick began to call the attention of the room.

You and Kaldur stayed in the back, watching the ceremonies’ beginning. It was like every other claiming ceremony. Dick gave a small explanation speech while also telling the story of how the Gods and Goddesses came to be.

Your attention peaked when you saw the claiming begin. Noticing as two symbols began to form. Above Roy formed the symbol of a hammer, signaling his father being Hephaestus. Next was the symbol of an Owl forming above Jason, signaling his mother being Athena. You didn’t know Jason well but you found it rather fitting, having seen his skepticism in the beginning.

However the claiming that had everyone in awe was Kori’s. She was claimed by Aphrodite, however a symbol did not form above her. Instead her beauty was enhanced making her even more stunning than before. Everyone immediately began to applaud, however it was completely cut off when a tremor inducing thunder clap rolled through the sky.

Your attention instinctively grabbed and as soon as it happened Conner came bursting through the doors. “[F/N]!” He yelled running over to you. “What’s wrong?” Meeting him halfway with Kaldur.

“It’s the Sirens, they’re through the barrier!” Panic in his voice. “Gather the guards, keep them as far away from the hall as possible. Kaldur, grab Dick, Wally, M’gann, anyone strong enough to hold their ground out of here. Zatanna!” You yelled and she ran over as Kaldur went to grab warriors in the hall. “What do you need?”

“I need you to make a magical barrier around the hall, hold it there, no one gets in here.” She nodded in understanding. Dick ran over to you, “What’s happening? The Sirens got through the barrier? How?!” Bombarding you with questions. “I can answer that later, I need you, Kaldur, and Conner to lead the guards and whoever Kaldur gathers to hold them back.” Talking as you and the forming group exited the hall.

“And what about you?” Conner questioned. “Me? I’m going to go get their motivation to leave.” Glancing at them all before making a turn toward the stables, the rest of them going the other way.

Breaking out into a sprint and throwing the stable doors open. Hearing the whinny and roars of spooked horses as you continued down the corridor. Reaching a stall at the end, swinging the gate open. The creature inside turning its attention to you.

Taking in it’s white coat and mane, but also the graceful yet powerful white wings. Striding over to the pegasus you held it’s head in your arms, “I need your help sweetie.” whispering to it. The creature whinnied, and you smiled leading it out of the stall before mounting. Racing out of the building before taking to the sky.

You had one destination in mind, the cabin dedicated to your father at the top of the mountain. Landing outside of it you slipped off and ran inside. Sifting and searching through the artifacts and items, finding the case your mother had informed you about.

Placing it on the desk you unclasped the locks before taking a deep breath and opening it. Your hand hesitated over the opened case, wondering whether you should take the powerful object into your hand. You were about to pull away before another crash of thunder sounded. Head jerking to look out the window before throwing caution to the wind and grabbing the object. Running back to mount the pegasus once more & racing to where the battle ensued.

Your guards and the strongest of the camp trying their best to fight off the villains known as the Sirens. They were a group of three sirens, beautiful but dangerous creatures that lured tragic souls with their beautiful voices to their doom. These Sirens go by the names Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and Selina Kyle. Highly skilled and deadly.

When attacking the camp they brought monsters, each one matching the ones taken out when they entered the camp borders.

The demigods did their best to fight off the Sirens and their little pets. Jason, Kori, and Roy had joined the fight, having just as much experience as the others. However they had never taken on an attack like this.

They had each taken a few good blows. Jason was currently was stuck against a Drakon. A giant, serpent like creature. Armed with a sword he attempted to fight it off but was swiped with the creature’s tail, sending him off his feet. When it went to strike at him, he held it’s fangs back with his sword. It’s jaws were inches from his face before thunder clapped and the creature roared before falling dead.

It’s cause of death being a lightning bolt. Everyone’s attention diverting to the source.

You landed gracefully, the pegasus rearing as the lighting bolt that your father left for you was clutched in your grasp, a true god’s entrance.

The Sirens looked at you with a sneer, “Look, it’s the Princess of the Gods. What’re you expecting honey? A curtsey?” Ivy called looking over at you.

“Why are you here?” You yelled at them, tone intimidating the beasts and many of your own warriors. “Well, we’re not exactly fond of your father sweetheart or his friends for that matter. So why not target the people they love?” Selina called next.

“You are starting a war you can’t hope of finishing.” Shaking your head at them. Keeping yourself tall and firm. Jason stared at you in awe, not only did you just save him but you were easily staring down three of the most dangerous foes he had gone up against.

Harley cackled, “Listen hunny, there are three of us and one of you. What hope do you have?” as soon as the words escaped her throat a loud thunder roared once more, making the three flinch.

“I suggest you leave now before you test my or my father’s patience any longer.” Lightly kicking the pegasus’ sides, signaling it to take a step forward.

“Alright we’re goin, but this in’t ovah” Harley threatened before they all turned their backs, the monsters having already fled. You stared as they retreated.

“I guess since you don’t want us here anymore, you don’t want the little demigod boy back?” Ivy called over your shoulder. “What was his name? Garfield?” Selina looked over at her partners.

Your eyes widened at the claim. Immediately kicking the pegasus harder, making it take off and cut off their exit. “Where is he?!”

Harley smirked, “Sorry sweetie, even with your glowstick we ain’t tellin.” Her eyeing the lightning bolt in your hand. Selina wore a triumphant smile, as if they were planning this, “But of course, we’re always up for a trade. You want the little brat, bring us the last known supply of adamantine on Earth. As the daughter of Zeus you must know where it’s held.”

Adamantine, the metal of the gods. Unbreakable, untarnishable, lightweight and resilient. “And if I don’t? What if I track you down without the adamantine?” Challenging the three. “We will just have to see how much pain the boy can take, and you wage a deadly war.” Ivy threatened in a loud whisper. “[F/n]!” M’gann yelled, looking over you saw the fear in her eyes.

Meeting their gaze again you simply stared at them weighing your choices. “Oh well, it’s your choice. You have five days time to give us what we want, or we’ll just have to take somethin else. I mean we all know demigods aren’t immortal. Have fun deciding little hero.” Ivy said in an airy, light of tone type of voice before the three walked out of the camp.

Leaving you to stare where they once stood. Hands gripping the mane of your steed. “[F/n]?” M’gann yelled again. “LET ME THINK!” snapping back. The demigods fell silent. Looking down at the lightning bolt you came to a decision. Dismounting you began to lead the pegasus away, passing Kaldur as you went.

Announcing to him, “We leave in the morning.”

“See? This is why I don’t like you driving my Milano!”

Peter scowled at you as he tried to shake off the restraints from his wrists and ankles.

The four of you were on duty somewhere beyond the galaxy. Having time to spend, you decided to gear up and start your brother’s Milano so the team would get to your destination faster, without having to wait for the ship to cool and start.

You thought it was smart, but Peter, on the other hand, thought the opposite. You insisted on driving and before you knew it, you crashed the ship on rocky grounds in the middle of god knows where.

The group was immediately taken into a big truck where several people bound you at the wrists, ankles, and even took your weapons. You had a shock collar on in case you’d try your powers on the poor people. They obviously knew who you guys were.

“My apologies, brother for trying to help you out back there.” You huffed, resting your head on the cool surface of the vehicle’s wall.

“How thoughtful of you.“

“Where are they taking us, anyway?” Rocket asked. The four of you rocked back and forth in the car, trying your hardest to see what was on the other side of the driver’s spot. Groot shook in his tiny space in the little glass jar he was in, banging on the walls which clearly didn’t help.

“Hey, asshole,” You shouted out the window to the driver. “Where are you taking us?” Nudging your elbow to bang on the cement. The man in the uniform said nothing, only to glare at you through the mirror and shut the door.

“Thanks a lot, Y/N.” Peter rolled his eyes. You kicked his combat boots with yours.

“If only Gamora was here, she’d side with me and I’d have you kick your-“

The vehicle stopped in a halt, causing the four of you to roll and accelerate in opposite directions on the floor. You groaned slightly as your back hit a wall. The large doors opened, sunlight shining through the green scenery in the background. You pushed your body to sit up, back leaning against the wall again but only to be dragged out harshly.

You, Peter, and Rocket were now held up by numerous people who seemed to be dressed in blue stealth suits. One person held Groot (who was safe in his jar) as they followed you into a big complex.

Looking around, you got a glimpse at the scene surrounding you. This place looked familiar, you thought. Clearly it wasn’t from your former planet, but the planet you came from.

The big building was grey, a few stories high with a garage at the bottom. It was in the middle of a nice open green area where trees surrounded it, a big ‘A’ was labeled at the front. You saw people who looked like they were being trained all lined up to the right who were being instructed by their trainer, another building which looked like a storage space in the back, and numerous recruits surrounded the area.

“Let us go..” You heard Peter say from behind you. You saw him struggle in his restraints as the agents were trying to keep him still.

“Peter, stop moving.” You hissed as you entered the building. You looked up in awe when you were greeted with various jets plastered on a second stage, computers and tactical gear all around.

“Holy shi-“

“Is this?” Rocket asked.

“Cap.” An agent spoke. They nodded at the man who was now walking in front of them, dressed in a casual blue shirt with a brown leather jacket and jeans.

“Good lord.” You whispered to yourself.

The agents pushed the four of you to follow the blonde man into a secluded area. They sat you down in chairs, Groot on the table.

Once everyone was settled, the man spoke. “You can release them now, guys.” He said. The agents obliged as he smiled politely at them, shooing them off to leave.”

“Driving an aircraft into a privately owned land, I see?” The man asked, looking up at the projection in front of him. “Do you know why you’re here? Where you are?”

“The mighty Captain America, Steve Rogers.” Rocket smirked, rubbing his wrists. “Y’know, you could’ve let your men handle us a bit more with care.” He joked. Steve nodded.

“New complex, I see?” You asked, turning to a few others who stepped into the briefing room.

Steve was about to speak until another man spoke for him. You could recognize him, these people, anywhere. “That’s right, space girl. Proudly paid for by the one and only.” The man winked as he took a seat.

“Holy. That-This is Tony Stark!” Your brother exclaimed. “Big fan of you.” He smiled, shaking Tony’s hand.

A man with long hair and a metal arm took a seat next to you. He gave you a smile as you met his eyes, you doing the same as Groot climbed up your jacket and onto your shoulder, frowning at the man.

“Easy now.” You whispered.

Chatter started in the room as everyone sat down. “Alright, everyone settle down.” Steve announced. Once everyone was quiet, he started to speak. “My name, as you know, is Steve Rogers. My fellow Avengers and I have brought the four of you here because we want to announce something to you.” He explained.

Your files started appearing in a row in the middle of the table for everyone to see, projected on the little device. “We know you four, and all of the others up there.” Steve nodded as he looked at the screen.

“Flying raccoon, large-“ Tony looked at Groot who was held on your shoulder. “Small tree man, and two twins, basically.” He explained.

You frowned. “Fair enough.”

“We know what you guys have done. Your powers, abilities..” Steve explained. “Especially you, Y/N.” He smiled.

Tony stood from his spot, swiping the hologram. “Which is why we brought you here to recruit you. Of course, we were gonna send a ship to get you, but conveniently, you decided to wreck the land and show up.”

“Yeah about that,” You laughed. “Terribly sorry about that. You see, my brother and I-“

“Oh, we’re not looking for an apology, Quill. All we ask is for your assistance. Stay here on earth, train with us, earn your badges as an Avenger.”

“I mean, we would have to think about it first.” Peter interrupted. “We can’t just leave the planet for another team.” He sighed.

“Well, just know that you’re always welcomed here.”

And so you were. With four months of training again, your team decided to leave the galaxy for a while and come back to earth to help earth’s mightiest heroes. You got to know the team within the months, them becoming like your new family. It took time to adjust, but with a few bonding sessions and common interests, you were able to adjust quickly.

It was a nice day outside, so you and your friend, Wanda decided to train outside of the compound. You got along with her the most, since you two had powers that were useful together during battle. Tony joked how the colors of your powers went well.

You saw Peter training with Clint and Bucky on the grass, Rocket sat down on a nearby tree with Groot as he stared down at the man with the metal arm. You rolled your eyes.

“So, you got any missions this week?” You asked Wanda as you held your fingers up to attack her. She blocked your electricity with her powers, as you went back and forth on the grass.

“Nope. I’m free until Tuesday. I do have to train the newest mutants, though.” She sighed. “You?”

“Yeah.” You said, pausing quickly to attack her forcefield. “I’m suppose to go on a mission with Barnes tomorrow.” You smiled, a blush creeping up on your neck.

Wanda gasped, walking towards you to counterattack. “No way! You and Barnes?”

“I know right..” You smiled. “I’ve never gone on a mission with him. Hell, we don’t even talk to each other. I don’t think he’s ever seen me in action.”

“What do you think of him?” She smirked, noticing your blush as she floated in the air, you on the ground. “Oh, Y/N…” She teased, reading your mind as you laughed out.

“I’m excited, honestly.” You said as she lowered herself on the ground. “That’s why Rocket and Groot are..You know.” You tilted your head to see them.

You noticed Bucky sparring with your brother. He was in a black long sleeved shirt and jeans, barefoot as his hands were wrapped. You bit your lip as you watched him in action, rejoicing in your head as you got to see what he can actually do. Your eyes began to turn a light blue, signaling all your energy being built up.

You didn’t notice Wanda talk to you, but when you weren’t responding, she sent you flying back onto the grass, back up against the tree Rocket and Groot were on. She floated towards you, smiling as you groaned out.

“What was that for?” You frowned.

“I didn’t say we were done.” She smiled, holding a hand to help you up.

“I hate you.” You said, grabbing her arm to send a small bolt of electricity through her, causing her to punch your arm.

“Nice powers there.” A voice spoke from behind you. You turned around to see Bucky smirking down at you, unwrapping his arms and tossing the remains into his bag. He called for a break with Peter and Clint as they walked off into the compound, Wanda following behind.

“Thanks.” You smiled. “I could’ve done better. Probably send her off flying first.” You laughed.

Bucky smiled at the trail you left on the floor. “Took it hard, huh?”

“That’s Wanda.” You shrugged. “So, you ready for our mission tomorrow?” You asked him, leaning against the tall tree as you watched him pack up.

“Definitely. I’ve never been on one with you alone, though. I’m somewhat scared at what you could do.” He winked up at you, sending butterflies in your stomach.

“I’ll take that as a compliment.”

“So you should. Your powers are amazing and come in handy with any enemy that come in contact with us. You and Wanda especially.” He said, slinging his bag over his shoulders.

“You too, soldier. Amazing combat training skills, a metal arm… Good with a gun and knives.” You raised your eyebrow. He walked toward you to listen closer. “Electricity does wonders with metal. You should be careful.”

“That so?”

“Mhmm.” You looked up at him, his chest meeting yours under the big tree. “But sometimes it can help out defeat the opposing team.”

“How strong is this electricity of yours?” He asked, arm resting on the trunk.

You smirked, slowly taking the knife out from his holster along his waist. You threw it at a nearby tree, and as it hit the trunk, you held your hand up to conjure your strength, sending the tree to cripple right then and there as it slowly started to send in sparks.

“Shit.” he muttered, looking at the tree.

“I’ll buy you a new one, don’t worry.”

He only smiled down at you, teeth sinking into his bottom lip.

We exist, you know!” A voice called from above you. You rolled your eyes to see Rocket come down and climb up your arm to rest on your shoulder. Groot did the same and sat in the pocket of your jacket.

You sighed, smiling as you met Bucky’s gaze at the creatures on you. “They’re a little over protective. Only want me to engage in contact with men in the galaxy.”

“I can see that. They’ve been eyeing me for the last two hours.” Bucky said. “Especially him.” He pointed at the raccoon who slowly frowned.

“If you do anything to her, boy I swear I will rip-“

“Rocky!” You shouted, pulling his tail. “Be nice.”

Bucky smirked, guiding you into the compound again, greeting others as they walked by you.

He walked you up into the elevator, which took you to the avenger’s rest areas and walked you to your room. You let Rocket inside as Groot sat peacefully in your pocket.

“You know, you really gotta tell me more about yourself, and your friends.” Bucky spoke. “I’m interested.”

“Well me and Peter were originally from here so we’re not any different from you guys.” You spoke. “These guys, however, are obviously different, but we’ll get to that some other time.” You smiled, taking Groot’s small hand to place him on your shoulder. He hid behind your ear.

“Maybe after our mission I can take you somewhere where we can talk about that.” Bucky offered. “Maybe somewhere in New York?”

“That sounds nice.” You agreed. “Yes, definitely. Without any distracting animals or guns and knives..”

“Great! I’ll see you in a few hours then.” He winked, placing his hands in his pocket.

“Will do.”

You walked into your quarters and sat down with a smile on your face next to Rocket. You laid your head back on the couch, sighing in content before you felt eyes on you.

“What?” You asked, meeting rocket’s eyes.

“Never trust a guy with a metal arm.”

“B-But Jasper!” A hand grabbed your wrist, yanking you along as you stared in the direction Jasper had been speared. Shortly after you all got over the shock of it, you begin running in the opposite direction, hoping to make it home. But it didn’t settle right in your chest to run off and leave Jasper like that.

“Let’s go, Y/N!” Finn yelled, yanking you harder. Despite how wrong it felt, you listened, running in tow with Finn, Clarke, Monty and Octavia ahead of you. Your heart was beating so hard, you thought it would rip out of your chest. Your chest hurt as well, heaving in anxiety.

You winced when Monty tripped and grunted, landing on the ground. Running further, the group of you all tried to pull him up as he seemed frozen with shock. Looking around, you let go of Monty as he finally stood up and with wide eyes, gaped at the remains of a person around you.

“Oh my God…” You whispered.

“Who are they?” Finn asked, shaking his head. Clarke remained silent as she picked up the skull of one, you felt your breath almost leave you at the odd shape of the skull.

What are they?”

“We are so screwed.” Octavia panted, and in your mind you couldn’t help but agree. You felt fear crawl up your spine as you tried to regain your breath. This was all too much to handle, you felt like your breath was leaving you.

A distant scream came about and you felt your knees shake. You could barely hear Clarke state that Jasper may be alive and try to run off, as you crouched slightly and placed your hands on your knees. You felt your throat closing in on you, as you tried to take deep breaths. your head shook and everything was becoming a blur.

Your wrist was gripped again as you were pulled off back in the direction of Jasper. Staring at where the boy once was, you found him gone. “Wait where his he?” You faintly heard Finn ask.

“No. Where is he?” Monty repeated, panic set dead in his voice.

“They took him.” With those final words, you shook your head. You felt like crying, nothing was making sense. You had the good sense to realize that some one had placed their hand on your shoulder, trying to gain your attention but you couldn’t focus on them. You were having a panic attack.

“Y/N!” Finn called, turning to the rest with panicked eyes he tried to gain your attention.

“She’s having a panic attack.” Octavia concurred, shaking her head.

“What do we do?” Monty asked frantically. Shaking her head, Clarke step forward, lightly pushing Finn away and grabbing you by your shoulders. You were desperately trying to breathe, but the breaths were short and frantic. Realizing that she needed your eyes on her, Clarke grabbed your head, making you lightly focus on her.

“Y/N.” You softly heard her say, grunting your reply, you felt sweat drip down your forehead. “Breathe. You have to breathe.”

“I have to breathe.” You repeated, calming down slightly. Nodding with her, you tried your best to regain yourself and slowly but surely you did. It felt like your throat loosened and you nodded your head, breathing. She continued to look at you, smiling reassuringly as you fixed yourself. Clarke took breaths with you, reminding you when to breathe in and when to exhale. Gaining control, you nodded your head.

“Thank you.” You smiled weakly up at her. She nodded, patting you lightly on the shoulder. Finn walked up to Clarke, confused. “Where’d you learn how to do that?”

“My moms a doctor. I picked up things.”

“Wells!” Clarke yelled, snapping your head up you could see Wells holding the boy from before, Murphy? By the neck with a knife. Confusion filled you as Wells to you didn’t seem like that person. Picking up the speed, you all ran to the middle of the group, you stopping short of just next to Bellamy. Turning to him, you glared.

“Let him go!” Clarke yelled, and Wells shoved him forward. Murphy ran back to Wells, but Bellamy shot from beside you and grabbed him; “whoa!” Though he quickly ran off from Murphy when he saw Octavia and her injured leg. “Octavia! Are you alright?”

“Yeah.” She replied, wincing as he helped her over. Turning to the rest of the group, Bellamy asked; “where’s the food?”

“We didn’t make it to Mount Weather.” Finn explained, sitting down. You let out a heavy breath, remembering what had just happened to you all. Jasper being speared, being taken, you having a panic attack. It was all too much.

“What the hell happened out there?”

“We were attacked.” You spoke up, turning to stare at Bellamy straight in the eye.

“Attacked?” Wells questioned, concerned: “by what?”

“Not by what. Who. Turns out when the last man on earth, died on the Ark. He wasn’t the last grounder.” You watched as every one seemingly froze and you shook your head.

“It’s true.” Clarke confirmed. “Everything we thought we knew about the ground, is wrong. There are people here, survivors. The good news is that means we can survive. Radiation won’t kill us.”

“The bad news is the grounders will.” You explained.

“Where’s the kid with the goggles?” Well asked, and you closed your eyes.

“Jasper was taken.” You explained, shaking your head. The image of him, speared popped up again and you had to shake your head to breathe. You needed to focus on staying calm.

“Where is your wrist-band?” Clarke suddenly asked, grabbing Wells wrist. He pushed her grip off of him, and you shook your head. “Really Clarke?” You asked, shaking your head. She ignored you and focused on Wells, who glared at Bellamy.

“Ask him.”

“How many?” Clarke asked, stepping forward.

“Twenty-four and counting.” Murphy sneered, smirking up at Clarke.

“You idiots.” Clarke shook her head, disbelieving. “Life support on the Ark is failing. Thats why they brought us down here. They need to know the ground is survivable again, and we need their help against who ever is out there. If you take off your wristbands, you’re not just killing them, you’re killing us.”

“We’re stronger than you think.” Bellamy spoke up, and you looked at him shocked. But you listened to his words, slightly agreeing with what he has to say. “Don’t listen to her. She’s one of the privileged. If they come down, they’ll have it good. How many of you can say the same? We can take care of ourselves. That wristband on your arm, makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore!”

“The grounders should be afraid of us!” He chanted, you shook your head, drawing the line.

“You had a good point. But now you’re just wrong, we should be afraid of them.” You felt Clarke’s eyes on you and with a nod, you started walking off in her direction as Bellamy began to chant again,

“We are strong!”

Running up to Monty and Clarke, you listened in. “Now what do we do?” You asked, shaking your head at the group still cheering behind you.

“Now we go after Jasper.”

“Clarke. He’s right, we need him.” Ducking your head, you walked through the door to the drop-ship, finding Clarke, Wells and Monty as well as Finn. You said nothing as you stepped in beside Finn. “So far no one else has volunteered.”

“I’m sorry Monty, but you’re not going either.” Narrowing your eyes, you turned to look at Clarke in shock.

“Clarke!” You gasped.

“Like hell i’m not.” Monty stepped forward, anger evident in his tone. “Jasper’s my best friend.”

“He should be allowed to go, Clarke.” You defended, confused as to why she wasn’t allowing him.

“He’s too important.” Clarke said, before turning back to Monty. “You were raised on Farm station and recruited for engineering.”

“So?”

“So. Food and communication.” Taking a step forward, Clarke pointed at his forehead. “What’s up here, it’s gonna save us all. You figure out how to talk to the Ark and i’ll bring Jasper back.” Monty reluctantly nodded as Clarke turned to you and Finn.

“You two ready?” She asked to the both of us, you smiled and nodded, giving her a cheapish thumbs up. Turning, the both of you looked expectantly at Finn who only stared at you all in shock.

“I’m not going, and neither should any of you.” He said, his voice coming out in a dry chuckle. “That spear was thrown with pin-point accuracy from three hundred feet.”

“So what? We let jasper die?” Monty asked and you shook your head, disappointed in Finn.

“That’s not gonna happen.”

“Space walker?” Clarke said, “what a joke. You think you’re such an adventurer, but really you’re just a coward.”

“it’s not an adventure Clarke. It’s a suicide mission.” Clarke only shook her head, gathering her things and making her way out of the drop ship. Before passing you, she placed a hand on your shoulder.

“You sure you’re up to this?” She asked and you knew exactly what she was referring to.

Nodding your head, you smiled. “Yeah. And besides, i’ve got you doc.” She smiled, walking out of the dropship. You turned to follow her but before you did, you turned to glare up at Finn.

Wells stepped in before you; “build a wall. Use the trees. I’ll watch after her.”

Repositioning your bag, you shook your head at Finn who only stared at you blankly. “Jasper looked up to you.” And with that, you walked out of the drop-ship.

“I’m here for you.” Catching up to Wells and Clarke, you were shocked to see Clarke standing next to Bellamy. “I hear you have a gun.”

“Clarke!” You yelled. Bellamy made eye contact with you before slowly raising his shirt by the hip, revealing a handgun. You gasped, holding your hand to your mouth, Bellamy smirked at you.

“Never seen a gun before sweetheart?” He teased and you glared up at him.

“I’ve seen one before.” You defended yourself, “but last time I checked, only murders had guns.” He glared at you but you only shook your head.

Clarke surprised you once again; “good. Follow me.” And with that, she turned off walking. You followed her, following closely behind Wells. Passing Bellamy you allowed your eyes to make contact with his and he smirked. You sighed, knowing this was going to be a long trip.

“And why would I do that?” Bellamy asked, turning towards Clarke. Clarke turned, a confident look on her face.

“Because you want them to follow you, and right now, they’re only thinking one of us are scared.”

“We need to get him down.” Panting, you stood behind Clarke. Staring up at Jasper you felt your heart break at the sight of him. He looked terrible, and deathly ill. He was passed out, strung up on a try with vines carefully knotted around hi, keeping him stuck to the tree.

“I’ll climb up and cut down the vines.” Finn offered, stepping forward. Because of guilt, Finn ended up coming along but things seemed tense and you felt as if you couldn’t talk to him.

“I’ll come with you.” Wells stepped forward but Finn stopped, turning to him with cold eyes. “No. Stay with Clarke. And watch him.” Finn narrowed his eyes at Bellamy, who only shook his head. “You. Come with me.” Murphy listened to the order reluctantly, following behind Finn as you stepped back. There was an obvious set of tension and it felt almost stuffy as you remained silent.

“Theres a poultice on his wound.” Clarke explained, you followed her gaze up to Jasper, seeing a stranger green thing on top of the spear wound.

“Medicine?” Wells questioned; “why would they save his life just to string him up for bait?”

“Maybe what they’re trying to catch likes it’s dinner to be breathing.” Bellamy offered, staring at the gaping ground Clarke had nearly fallen in. You followed his gaze as the tension increased with the aroma of threat flowing through. Staring around at you, you tried to see if you could see anything.

“Maybe what they’re trying to catch is us.” Finn countered.

You watched as Finn and Murphy climbed up the tree, slowly working their way to cut the vines surrounding Jasper. Hearing a growl and a bristle of trees, you snapped your head to the side. “What the hell was that?”

“What?” Clarke asked.

“You didn’t hear that noise?”

“Was it the grounders?” Bellamy asked, body tensing and you watched as his hand twitched towards his hip. You glared, stepping forward and grabbing his wrist. His gaze snapped to you and you shook your head, he glared back at you. “What?” He whispered.

“No.” You said, referring to his gun.

Suddenly a snarl filled your ears, and turning you saw a black panther directing itself towards you and Bellamy. Freezing, you crouched, you watched him prowl his way towards you. Bellamy turned to you, a look in his eyes. “now?” He questioned, looking down at his him, you nodded reluctantly, you’re heart stopping as his hands ended up empty and the panther began running towards you and him.

A gun shot echoed, and turning your head you saw Wells holding the gun out. Suddenly the panther dispersed into the grass, Bellamy held his hand out in front of you as you both walked lightly and turned trying to find the animal. Hearing no noise, you figured he was gone as you both un-tensed. “Y/N!” Bellamy yelled, you flinched, turning to your side as the panther shot out.

You moved back instinctively, tripping over a twig. Before the panther could reach you, he fell down to the ground but you barely paid attention as you fell. Arms wound around your waist, catching you. Gasping, you stood up slowly, staring at the panther before turning around to Bellamy. Nodding, you thanked him.

All of you shared a look, seemingly coming to a conclusion. You needed to get home.

“Do you need any help?” You asked, staring at Clarke who stared at the passed out form of Jasper. Finn stood next you and as well as Monty. You were itching to go, but you needed to check on Jasper and see if Clarke needed help first.

“No. I’m good. I’m gonna go out and get some food.” Clarke said, wiping the sweat against her forehead. You patted her shoulder, following her out of the ship but leaving her side and you searched over the crowd to see if you could find Bellamy. Finding Murphy, you walked up to him who smirked down at you.

Before he could speak you spoke up; “where’s Bellamy?” With a confused and skeptical look he pointed towards his tent and you nodded a quick thanks before making your way over. You didn’t bother knocking, walking into his tent and surprised not to see a girl there as you heard the stories of his many courts.

Bellamy shot up from his bed, confusion filling his gaze. “What are you doing here?” You held up your wrist to his question, pointing at the wristband. “I want this off.”

He shook his head, puzzled. Standing up, he regarded you with careful eyes. “Won’t Clarke be upset?” He asked, eyes narrowed in doubt at your words.

“I don’t care.” You responded shortly, he sat back down, grabbing the knife from his bed side table and invited you to sit down next to him. You followed, sitting down next to him and holding your wrist out.

“Thought you didn’t trust me sweetheart.” He smirked, teasing you.

“Yeah. Well, you’re the only one I trust to do this.” You replied, watching as he slid the knife underneath the band, you winced when you felt your skin slightly pinch but ignored it. Soon enough you heard a crack noise and off came your wristband. Rubbing your wrists, you stood up. “Thanks.”

“Hold up, sweetheart.” Bellamy called, standing up and stepping over next to you.

“You’re a mystery.” He said after a short silence, his eyes completely focus on you. You stared back up into his eyes, shaking your head. With a small smile, you dryly commented; “so are you.” Their was the conclusion that what you two were sharing was a moment, but you paid no mind to it, remembering all he had done previously.

“That panther. Is there any food left?” You questioned him, staring up at him questioningly. Smirking down at you, he almost looked proud.

“There is for you.”

Plans (Pietro x Reader) ( Avengers x Reader)

I have a super specific request! Could you do one where all the Avengers(including Bucky and the twins) get Intel on a girl that supposedly has powers of being able to control elements, who was kidnapped by Loki, so the Avengers try to rescue her and offer her a spot? And maaaayyyybee Pietro has a slight romantic interest in her? Thank you!!
——————————–
(Y/N) was already having a terrible day. Her mind was scattered as she wasted her day away at the dead end cafe she had been working at to pay for her average New York apartment. The customers were generally nice, but as always there were a few stragglers pushing her limits.

A woman complained and screamed at her because her food wasn’t coming fast enough, like (Y/N) even had anything to do with the wait! Another person had come in for a cheeseburger, but then sent it back because it had too much cheese. Seriously, how were these people even considered smart enough to be left alone?

And now there was a tall slender figure silently watching her from a corner table. He never ordered, and somehow, wasn’t asked to leave. She had only made eye contact with him once during his stay, but when she did, shivers ran down her spine. His eyes reminded her of the deep, green pines on the fir trees of her hometown. His cold eyes never left hers as his lips tilted up into a smirk, causing (Y/N) to flit her eyes away.

She glanced at the clock and noticed she had about three minutes until her shift ended. She cleaned up her area and hung up her apron as she grabbed her phone from her locker. Her apartment was in walking distance, so she didn’t really feel like wasting the money on a taxi or uber.

As she walked home there were sharp tingles on her lower back as she had the sensation of someone watching her. She shook it off and speed walked to her apartment.

She slid her keys into the lock and twisted, feeling the resistance of her door give way. She walked in and rested her back against it, breathing out a sigh of relief.

(Y/N) slid off her shoes and scurried to her bedroom, still full of jitters. She changed out of her work uniform into an oversized sweater and tall socks.

The soft fabric of her sweater brushed against the tops of her thighs as she maneuvered her way to the kitchen. She dug out a ceramic mug and set it on the edge of the counter, before running back to her bedroom and grabbing her phone off the charger. With her circumstances, she always had to have it near her, in case she had to leave quickly.

Ever since the chemical accident of her father’s lab she had when she was five, (Y/N) could control the elements. As her memories washed up in her mind like the ocean’s shore, the crash of a fallen object fell on her ears. (Y/N) went into panic mode, and silently, she crept into her kitchen. As she turned the corner, she quickly conjured up ice as to freeze the intruder.

When the ice touched his skin he just gave a small smile with a quirked brow as he stopped the ice in its tracks. “Wrong choice, little one,” He sauntered towards her and, in her shock of someone just blowing her powers away, she let him. He was very tall compared to her stature and had to lean down to whisper in her ear. “The beautiful ones are most often the most breakable, shall we test that?” His voice, as soft as it was, only made her more terrified.

She spun away from him quickly, throwing a blast of fire at the man, she recognized him now of course, who would not recognize the man who destroyed New York? As the flame enveloped him, he simply disappeared. She quickly began to back up as he reappeared as soon as the heat was gone, marching towards her. She did not hit her entryway, as expected, but a solid chest, and a green mist was the last the thing she saw.

The New York Super Squad as Clint called them was enjoying a rather boring day, until that is, Thor crashed through the damn roof. Tony stood to the side, motioning greatly to the now gaping hole in his fabulous tower, “Do Asgardians have a dictionary? Because I don’t think the word door is in there! Are you too cool to knock, or just say ‘Hey bro let me in?’ It’s not that hard!” Thor stood straight and tried his hardest to look sheepish.

“The reason I have entered so suddenly is of great care,” He pronounced to the now gathered team. “Loki has escaped, and seems to be holding a young enhanced Midgardian captive,” He finished, looking at the now attentive friends.

“Doesn’t mean a door was hard to use though!” Tony snarked. Steve glared at the inconsiderate Stark, as he stood to grab his gear and rally the team.

“Alright! Thor, I want all the information you got! Everybody else, suit up!”

(Y/N) quickly raised her pounding head from the luxurious pillow, quickly regretting her decision as she looked over to see her abductor looking out over the window which viewed the- Well, she didn’t really know where she was. There was just an expanse of foliage stretching for what seemed to be miles. “Ah, you have awakened,” His voice was soft, which surprised her. Shouldn’t he be murdering her by now?

“I did not go through the struggle of abducting you, just to murder you. Not to say I will not go to that extreme if you do not comply, but that is not my plan,” He swiftly turned, facing her with those cruel green eyes.

“Then why? Why did you take me?” Her voice cracked at the end, even though she tried to hide it. He had already proved her powers were no good against him.

His rich laugh made her flinch. “Do not let your head swell. The only reason you are not dead is because I can use you,” The God of Lies smirked, making his angular face appear sharper than usual.

“You gonna try and take over the world again? Cause last time that didn’t go over so well, in case you didn’t notice,” She mouthed with a curl of her lip.

The smirk on his mouth promptly dropped and twisted, turning into a snarl. He stalked towards her on the bed, her hands now finding themselves bound to the oak bed frame. She immediately tugged against them, eyes going wide. “Don’t touch me!”

He pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes in disgust at what she was implying. “Do not flatter yourself, little one,” He talked sweetly, the opposite of this situation. “I could have you begging on your knees if I wished. I would never take someone unwilling.”

She averted her eyes as his own raked her face. “You never answered my question,” she veered the conversation. “Why are you trying to take over again? Because I won’t help you!”

His eyes never left her face as he gracefully sat on the edge of the king bed. “I am not trying to control your little Midgard, I am trying to rule Asgard. And from what I have witnessed, you are so very lonely. Always having to run from governments and regimes, much too fearful to try and make an acquaintance. Think of it, no more running. You can be at peace, ruling by my side.”

For a long moment, there was an expression of pure longing on her features, but to Loki’s chagrin, soon dissipated. “Murdering innocents to get what you want is not peace!”

Just as Loki was about to turn to the use of threats, there was a large crash in what she assumed was the main part of the residence. He assumed a defensive position as the noises of chaos came closer.

“The Avengers and my brother will come for you. But this will not be our last meeting, little one,” He chuckled as if he knew a secret which did not inspire much confidence.

He dragged his hands over her wrists; the bindings falling away with his touch. He stood back, laughing as his whole menacing figure quickly snapped out of existence.

Right as she lost sight of him, a speeding blur of blue rushed into the room. She quickly raised her now free hands up in defense; the shivers of fear from the previous encounter lingered. “Who are you?” She asked, her voice tight with exhaustion.

His face snapped towards her so fast it was like he had never moved at all. He rushed to the bedside and her breath caught at the beauty in his face. He lowered himself towards her, an accented voice asking, “Are you alright?”

She nodded swinging her legs to the edge of the bed, and attempting to stand. He quickly pulled her into his arms before she could fall all the way to the ground. “Sorry,” she mumbled as the blood rushed to her face. “I swear I’m not usually this helpless, I just-”

He smiled then, a warm show of white teeth as he assured her, “It’s fine. Trust me when I met his brother I was on the ground for a while, too,” he recalled the failure of stealing mjolnir with a grimace.

“The others will want to know you are alright, we should go,” He carried her through what she now knew was a remote cabin somewhere.

He carried her until they were in a stealth aircraft, what he called the Quinjet. Setting her on the bench seats, he started introducing himself, “I am Pietro Maximoff, and my twin is Wanda, although she isn’t here right now. The rest of the team is on their way out. Do you have any idea where Loki went?”

Processing that information she tried to navigate through her jumbled thoughts. “He said he would see me again, but that was all he said. So I doubt, you’ll have to look too hard to find him.”

He furrowed his brow. He knew why Loki wanted her on his side. It was the same reason they would try to recruit her. But why would he give her up so easily? His thoughts were interrupted when the rest of his team entered the jet.

Thor was the first to come up, bending on one knee and apologizing with utmost sincerity for his brother’s actions. He asked if she was okay, and then the rest of the team introduced themselves, the tension in the air melting away.

Steve was the only one standing when he started giving the recruitment speech that the others should have known by heart by now. Before Steve could thoroughly confuse her, Pietro quickly burst in, “(Y/N) we would be more than happy to help you harness your abilities and to have you join us.”

(Y/N) looked to him before smiling. “I’ll do it, but I need a lot of training,” she looked back on her fight with Loki, that proved she had lots of work ahead of her.

“You’re still pretty kickass, Avatar.” Were the words Tony decided to chime in, making her smile turn into full fledged laughter. She was going to like it here very much.
