all the alex feels right now

alright don’t get me wrong, melissa killed it in the musical episode and the superfriends were really cute but also what if alex got stuck in music meister’s alternate universe instead of kara?

  • because let’s be real, alex is probably the one who introduced the wizard of oz to kara so her knowledge of movie musicals is pretty widespread
  • anyways she gets to this universe and meets barry for the first time and is totally 100% ready to deck him in his dopey smiling face
  • (“barry allen? as in the barry allen who brought my little sister to an alternate universe to fight deadly aliens because your little vigilante task force wasn’t strong enough?? even though her family is literally trained in fighting and taking down aliens? that barry allen?” “i now see that was a mistake.”)
  • and alex begrudgingly forgiving and agreeing to work together with barry because she has to get home to her family somehow
  • and barry understanding why kara literally talks about alex all the time, like alex hung the moon or something, because even without powers alex is probably the strongest and most driven person he’s ever met, accepting the mission and diving in headfirst, doing whatever she needs to do to get home.
  • (alex mostly just wonders how this universe has a pretty accurate replica of kara’s dorky, loving personality in the body of the fastest man alive. she definitely doesn’t take comfort in the similarities between the two. nope, not at all)
  • ((okay, a little bit. but only because there’s something in barry’s smile that just reminds her of kara, of home))
  • also, barry and alex fighting over which movie was better, singing in the rain, or the wizard of oz. they finally come to a consensus, saying that the sound of music probably tops both.
  • also, barry completely surprised at how pretty alex’s singing voice is, because lbr chyler’s voice could probably summon angels
  • and at the end, when both alex and barry get shot, which honestly, i don’t think would’ve happened because alex is probably has more awareness of bullets and the danger of shootouts than both barry and kara combined, let’s be real
  • and then cisco vibing iris and kara to the alternate universe
  • kara would most definitely be there because alex, despite the healing she has gone through over the course of the show, still has a very broken, very damaged heart, what with all of that happened with her father, and she’s probably still having nightmares about the white martian mind meld and the myriad mind control, where she turned on the people she loves
  • plus all of the inner turmoil in her head with her coming out and also trying to balance work, family, and a completely new relationship
  • alex is damaged goods, but kara’s undying love for alex would definitely remedy that
  • (and let’s be real, the love goes both ways, what with kara feeling lonely and like she’s losing her sister, her anchor to reality, so alex totally could’ve saved kara in canon, showing that she’ll always be there for kara and is never letting her go.)
  • anyways, iris and kara are vibed into the alternate universe and barry and iris have their epic true love’s kiss
  • kara kneeling next to alex, tears streaming down her face, because alex totally couldn’t be dying, alex was the one to save the rest of the superfam. alex was, is, their rock, and alex couldn’t die on her, not like this.
  • and alex smiling through bloody teeth and “what i wouldn’t give for one of the deo’s bulletproof dresses right about now,” and kara laughs and grips alex’s hand and presses a kiss to alex’s forehead
  • and then they’re back in star labs and alex is alive, alive, alive
  • and kara pulls alex into a rib-bruising hug and j'onn joins in and then they all go home
  • home, to their earth
  • home, to national city
  • home, to kara’s apartment, where winn and james and maggie are waiting with pizza and potstickers and cookie dough ice cream
  • and alex and kara snuggle up on the couch together, surrounded by their friends, their family, and feel so, so loved

You knew you’d fucked up.

The second those words flew out of your mouth, your eyes shot open and your breath caught in your throat. You were quickly shaken from the spell Daveed had placed you under, and as reality settled in, you began to panic.

Without delay, you pushed Daveed off you and clambered off the bed. He was silent and you didn’t know if it was because he was in shock or because he was still coming down from his high, but either way, you knew you had to get out of there before he started speaking.

You were pulling your jeans on hastily when you finally spoke up. “I uh…I-I gotta go.” You said, trying to hide the fact that you were on the verge of tears. “It’s really late and I think I forgot to do something back home.”

“Y/N…” Daveed breathed softly, pushing himself up on his elbows to look at you.

I have a feeling this scene will cause the big fight in 2x13 because maggie hates Valentine’s Day and it looks like alex is surprising her at her apartment. Maybe they’ll argue and maggie will walk out, only to realise the mistake she made which leads her to surprising alex at the end of the episode with the dress scene.

In One Piece: part two

He took her chin between his fingers and and leaned down to place his lips on hers. Her eyes widened in shock before pulling back, shrieking “What do you think you’re doin’?!”

“Kissin’ yeh.” He smirked.

“Sorry, bu’ I don’ feel like kissin’ yeh right now,” she frowned.

“Le’ me make it up to yeh, please.” He rested his forehead against hers, “Please, sweetheart.”

or

Alex upsets his girl and tries to make it up to her.

WARNING: SMUT

“Don’ know wha’ Y/N was thinkin’ when she agreed to marry yeh, silly girl tha’ one. Silly as can be. But a cunt?” Alex growled, veins protruding all over as his grip tightened on the squirming prick he had pinned to the wall. “She’s jus’ no such thing, mate,” he pulled Thomas’ body forward before slamming it into the ivy covered brick again, evoking a low groan from him.

Y/N sat fidgeting in her seat across from him. She didn’t really know what to say, or how to say it. She just knew it needed to be said. “What’s this about?” Thomas asked. He was smiling, she could hear it in his voice, but she looked any and everywhere but his eyes. “Y/N?” He asked once more, the smile dissipating from his voice.

She toyed with ring upon her left fourth finger, twisting it back and forth and so before finally slipping it off. She placed it gently on the table between them before saying, “I can’ marry you.”

His head straightened up tall and floored by her statement. “‘Scuse me?”

“I can’ marry you, Thomas. My heart isn’ in it,” she answered.

“So where is your heart, then?” He asked, though he already knew the answer. “Funny yeh say this considerin’ I know yeh saw Alex yesterday.” He bit his bottom lip, teasing his tongue with the taste of blood.

“‘M truly sorry, I am. It’s jus’ not fair to do this to ourselves.” She reasoned.

He sat there for a few moments, trying to soak up her words, syllable by syllable. “Why’d yeh even say yes?” He laughed, but there was an unsettling look in his eye.

“I couldn’t bring myself to tell you no-,” she said, but was interrupted by the fierce rise in his voice.

“Bullshit!” He cracked. “Don’ put this on me! Yeh made me believe yeh wanted this, made me believe yeh wanted me!  Lead me by a bloody leash, you did!” His chest palpated dangerously fast, anger fueling his every action.  “You’re a right cunt fo’ tha’!” He picked up his water glass, slamming it against her dining wall and watching it shatter to pieces. She flinched at the ear-splitting sound, hands subconsciously flying up to hold her head.

She was on fire, burning with rage and fear. “We wen’ out together on dates! Never up until that point had I professed some deep and undyin’ love for yeh that would’ve made you go and propose! Tha’ was on you!” She spat. “I enjoyed your company, bu’ yeh had to rush it!” Y/N hadn’t ever been so hostile in her life. She’d like to think of herself as a generally calm and collected person. But this? This pushed her over the line. Who did he think he was?

Thomas’ back was to her as he rocked himself back and forth on the counter. He was taut with fury, practically steaming at the ears. “This isn’ about how I rushed it, Y/N! It has nothin’ to do with tha’ and everythin’ to do with Alex, I’m no’ stupid!” He slammed his fists onto the counter.

“Yeh know wha’? You’re right. I love Alex. I loved him before you, durin’ you, and now, an’ I’m sorry fo’ hurtin’ you, but I can’ help who my heart wants!”  Y/N cried.

“So what’d yeh do? Did yeh kiss him? Did yeh shag him? Huh?! Answer me!” He roared, shaking Y/N to the very core. “Be’ yeh did. “

“‘M not really sure what you’re implyin’ but-,”

“I’m sayin’ you’re a whore! A blimey slag!” Thomas growled, finger pointed inches away from her face.

“Ge’ out.” She whispered.

“Oh, wha’? Can’ face wha’ you’ve done-,”

“I said get out! Get ou’ of my house!”  Y/N bellowed. Her whole body was jolting with adrenaline and she feared she might pass out from the unforgiving anger she felt. Thomas shook his head, scoffing out a laugh before kicking the chair out of his way and slamming the door on his way out to prove his point. She felt bad, terrible even, for hurting him, for angering him. Though she couldn’t say she wasn’t a bit relieved, he was quite unnerving when he was bothered and upset. She cradled her head in her hands as she silently shook with cries. Y/N never handled other’s anger well. She hated when people would let their emotions get the better of them, especially when she was the cause.

She sat for a while before sucking it up and wiping her tears and grabbing the bin to clean up the shards of glass. She tried to be very careful, not wanting to cut herself, but that inevitably failed when a knock and open to her front door startled her, causing the glass to cut her hand. “Dammit,” she whimpered.

“Y/N, love,” Alex called, “what’re yeh doin’?”

Alex’s hand was gripping Thomas’ jaw harshly, threatening his skin with finger-shaped bruises as he convulsed infuriatingly so. “And a whore? That was a bi’ of a stretch, too, duffer,” he kneed him in the groin, earning a cry from Thomas. “Ditzy thing sometimes, bu’ she’s a bloody angel!” Alex growled through gritted teeth. With one uppercut to the face, Thomas was on the ground in fetal position. Alex spit in his face and stormed away, stewing and brewing and flailing about.

Alex sat atop of Y/N’s bathroom sink as she cleaned the scrapes and bruises amongst his hand from his prior indiscretion with Thomas. To say Y/N was upset with Alex was an understatement. She’s didn’t really believe in violence, and while her heart swooned at the thought of him defending her, that didn’t mean she wanted him to have a back-alley brawl with her ex-fiancé. Her lips were pressed in a tight line as she bandaged the wound to prevent infection. She wouldn’t even look him in the eye, and it hurt his heart a little. “Sweetheart, please look at me,” he sighed, but she kept her eyes low. “Y/N, c’mon,” he tried again. However, she kept doting around on his knuckles and refusing to give him what he wanted. Finally, he took her face in his hands and forced her to look at him. “I think it’s clean, love, now look a’ me.”

“You’ve really upset me,” she said.

He felt his chest tighten at that. “What ca’ I do?” He pleaded.

“You’ve done enough.” Alex really wanted to fix this. He couldn’t stand the fact that she was upset with him, but she was his girl, and nobody would insult his girl. He was sorry for disappointing her, but not sorry for what he did. Thomas needed to be taught a lesson as far as Alex was concerned. He was wracking his brain trying to figure out ways to get her to forgive him, and then he it dawned on him.

“Le’ me make it up to yeh, please.” He rested his forehead against hers, “Please, sweetheart.” She bit her lip, toying with the idea in her head before locking eyes with him, signaling him the go-ahead with a subtle nod of the head.

His lips met hers sweetly, taking her breath away. She placed one hand on his chest and wrapped the other around his neck to pull him closer. His hand gripped her waist and held her securely to him. Her lips felt like velvet and he couldn’t get enough of it. Every time she’d pull away, he’d bring her even more close, savoring the sound of her labored breath and the rise and fall of her chest increasing by the second. He finally let her break away to catch her breath, but still held her just as tightly to him. She opened her eyes to find him already itching to look into hers and her cheeks tinged pink with embarrassment, so she looked away. “Hey, quit lookin’ away from me,” Alex demanded. He slid off the bathroom sink and intwined his arms around her back. She strained her neck up to look at him once more and smiled graciously, placing his lips on hers once more.

The kiss was innocent to start with, but the second she threaded her fingers through his hair and tugged in delight, a fire was ignited in him. He spun her around, gently slamming her hips into the counter, eliciting a soft, squeak-like sound from her which raised every hair on the back of his neck and tickled his skin with goosebumps. He lifted her up and placed her on the counter and moved to wrap her legs around his hips. She trailed her hands down to his chest, nails lightly scratching along the way, before he jerked her hands back up to his hair. “Keep ‘em there, love,” he growled. A coil snapped within her at the sound of his voice so rough and deep that she tugged on his tresses once more just to hear the sound again.

He sunk his teeth into the plushy flesh of her skin, and she jolted from the sensation. Her head sunk deeper into the pillow the closer he approached where she ached for him. He was feeling dizzy, overwhelmed at the situation and reeling in the smell of her in the air. He moaned quietly as his mouth watered just thinking about what he was about to do. His mouth teased the crease of where her thigh met her hip and her breath wavered. He trailed kiss after kiss until his lips touched the damp spot right in the center of her cotton panties. It was then his tongue snuck from between his lips to press against her ever so slightly, and she shied away from the contact, but his hands brought her back down against his tongue. “So sweet already an’ I haven’ even taken these off yet” he groaned. He believed, with full sincerity, that she would be the death of him.

His fingers hooked inside of her knickers and yanked them down her thighs and onto the floor before spreading her legs and nesting a home between them. He spread her open with his fingers before attaching his lips and tongue to her clit, sucking and pulling and doing everything to coax a sound from her. She whimpered, though they sounded more like squeaks, and she’d be dying from embarrassment had it not just felt so good. Her hands instinctively flew to his head and reveled in the warmth of his tongue on her most sensitive spot. Her back arched and shivered and trembled with every nibble and lick, and to make matters almost more unbearable, he curved a finger inside of her. It was foreign, a bit uncomfortable at first until Alex stroked something within her, and it wasn’t anymore.

“A-Alex,” she mewled. He moaned against her, and the vibrations nearly shocked her core. Her heart was working double time to keep her body from caving in to the pleasure completely. Between the vibrations of his mouth and the stroke of his finger inside of her, it became too much to balance. Her vision was white hot as her legs tightened around his neck and shuddered so. His name was breathless on her lips and she swore nothing could compare to the feeling of his face between her thighs, even though she could never say that aloud because it nearly humiliated her with how lewd the reality of it all was.

Alex pressed one final kiss to her mound before trailing his tongue back up her body slowly, taunting her. His lips pressed to her neck causing her to shiver at the sensitivity before pressing a kiss below her eye and asking, “How was tha’?”

“Tha’ was,” she gulped, “somethin’.”

“Had to be more than jus’ somethin’, baby. Practically ripped all my hair out my head,” he giggled.

“Oh, shush,” she covered her face, mortified. Alex pried her hands away and kissed her with fervor, heart swelling with how her lips melted into his just right.

“Stop hidin’ tha’ face away from me,” he grinned.

“Then quit embarrassin’ me!”

“My god,” Alex gasped. He buried his face into her neck, biting and kissing in attempt to silence the sounds erupting from within his chest. Her nails dug into his skin in discomfort as he settled deep within her walls and she cried out. “‘M sorry, love, so so sorry. I’ll stop, I’ll stop,” he stumbled over his words.

“No,” a tear trickled down her cheek, “don’ stop, please.” He ignored her and moved to untangle her legs from around his wait, but she gripped his shoulders frantically. “Please, no! I wan’ to feel you,” she hummed.

He sunk back into her and she gripped his right hand, interlocking their fingers and squeezing it harshly. “I don’ want to hurt you,” he mumbled.

“I’m okay, promise.” It didn’t necessarily hurt her at this point, it was just uncomfortable.

“I love you, love yeh so much, petal,” he kissed her cheek. “I’ve never felt so whole in my life. Look a’ tha’,” he gently brought her head forward to look at where they joined as one, “connected, you and me.” He laid her head back down. His hips faltered to the right a little, causing her chest to press against his and she swore. His ears perked at the sound, quickly trying to repeat the movement he just made.

“Yes,” she hissed, “that’s it!”

Neither of them had ever felt anything quite like this. It wasn’t lust. No, their love overwhelmed the lust by a long shot. It wasn’t the act of getting swept up by desire. It was a commemoration of their feelings for each other. Y/N felt like her heart could burst at any moment at the sound of Alex’s sweet nothings and praises in her ear. “Yeh feel so good, baby. You’re doin’ so well for me,” he urged a hungry kiss on her lips, “such a good girl,” he cooed.

Her body was writhing beneath his and he hoped this was a sight he could remember forever. She looked so beautiful like this. Well, she looked beautiful all the time, but there was something about the way she couldn’t contain herself at this moment that had him gawking at her. Her eyes screwed shut and broken pleas sounding off the walls put him in a near daze. The way she clenched around him and how divine she felt seemed like a luxury he could not afford.

Her lips left breathy, open-mouthed kisses to his neck and he fell against her, driving his hips right into hers, grunting each time. He was in such a state of euphoric bliss that nothing else mattered to him in this moment except for her and proving his love to her. He wanted her to feel what she did to him. How she shot electricity through his veins every time she cried his name. How his whole body quaked with each yank of his hair. How satisfactory it felt to be the only one to make her eyes roll to the very back of head with each push to the right place within her. So that’s what he did. He carried on til the early morning until neither of them could take it anymore and collapsed into each other’s arms and exchanged honey-covered words until they succumbed to the imminent sleep, tangled together, in one piece.

so this is part two!!! i skimmed through this to half-ass make sure there were no mistakes but i’m sure y’all will find one. also sorry i’m the worst smut writer in the history of this website. i hope you guys like this as much as part one. stay tuned for part three to continue the rest of Alex and Y/N’s story!

Okay but how about Maggie trying to calm down Alex after the thing with mon el

Come over.

That’s all the text says.

That’s all it says, and that’s all she’s heard from Alex all day, which is unusual, but she’s not surprised.

Not surprised today, because today was her dad’s first day back in the DEO.

Today was all about Jeremiah, all about Alex, and Maggie is alright with that.

Of course she is.

But when she gets her text – her simple text – she rushes.

She knocks, because she could let herself in, but today was bound to be emotional, and today was bound to be hard.

She’s surprised when Alex just says “yeah.”

When the door is unlocked.

Because Alex Danvers never leaves her door unlocked.

But Maggie doesn’t know – not yet, not yet – that Alex texted Maggie and drank her way through a quarter bottle of liquor, straight.

Maggie doesn’t know – not yet, not yet – that Alex left the door unlocked because she trusted Maggie to rush. And she didn’t trust her legs to be able to get her to the door smoothly by the time Maggie gets there.

”Hey,” she offers as she steps inside, locking the door softly behind her because she knows Alex feels better that way. Hell, she feels better that way.

Alex doesn’t turn toward her, and part of Maggie relishes the trust they’ve built in just a few months. The other part of her stomach sinks as she walks around to try to get a look at her girlfriend’s face.

The other part of her stomach sinks as she sees the liquor bottle that she happens to know was much, much more full this morning.

”What’s wrong?”

Alex says nothing, and Maggie braces herself on the counter with a shaky hand.

“How was your dad’s first day?” she asks, her voice soft, her voice nervous, her voice just this side of apologetic.

Alex answers by draining her drink – draining it long and hard and completely – and Maggie’s eyes watch the way Alex’s hands are oh so slightly unsteady, the way her eyes are oh so slightly unfocused.

The way her eyes have been refusing to meet hers this entire time.

“That good, huh?”

She shifts onto the stool in front of Alex, grateful for the way Alex responds to her touch on her calf, the way she automatically moves her foot so Maggie can sit down.

Grateful, at least, that Alex seems to want her there. Seems to accept needing her there.

Even if she won’t speak.

Even if she won’t look at her.

She goes to pour herself another, and Maggie’s heart clenches.

”Whoa whoa whoa, okay. Hold on.” She guides Alex’s hands away from the bottle and Alex just retreats into herself, looking for all the world like a small scolded child, in that little grey hoodie, shoulders rounded, arms limp, body as tiny as she can make it without actually scrunching up.

It breaks Maggie’s heart. But not, she knows, as much as Alex’s heart must be breaking.

”Hey,” she says, and Alex still won’t look up. Maggie touches her arm softly, softly. “I’m here. Okay? You can tell me anything.”

Alex nods, but she still won’t look up, and Maggie’s left hand reaches for her, almost of its own accord, and her index finger settles gently, tenderly, softly, under Alex’s chin.

”Hey, look at me.”

Alex does, and there is nothing but raw defeat in her eyes. Raw pain. Raw agony. Raw torture.

It stops Maggie’s breath, and she tilts her head to keep herself together. Tilts her head to keep her eyes soft, her breathing regular. Because she needed Alex on Valentine’s Day and Alex had held her and listened to her and soothed her all night long.

And tonight is Alex’s Valentine’s Day.

Fathers. Fathers. Fathers.

”What happened with your dad?”

Her voice is soft and her eyes are earnest and Alex takes a shuddering breath in, and Maggie’s heart breaks more than it is already broken.

Alex’s lips tremble and she glances up at Maggie’s eyes, on her own for the first time since she walked in, and Maggie knows.

Knows that her eyes are her words, right now, and that’s all she needs.

She stands and she pulls her close.

”Oh, sweetie. Oh.” She pulls Alex’s face into her chest, draws her back into her body, settles the side of her face onto Alex’s hair, and soothes her, soothes her, holds her, as she starts to cry.

As she starts to sob.

No.

As she starts to weep.

The first two shuddering breaths she takes, Maggie thinks her heart might burst from the pain of it.

And then her voice catches in her tears, catches in her growing hysteria, and Maggie turns her face more toward her, expressionless, expressionless, because her own heart, now, is numb. Because if she allows herself to feel the pain, the rage, the agony, of hearing Alex Danvers, feeling Alex Danvers, come completely apart like that in her arms, she would be the one unraveling.

And her baby needs her. Her sweetheart needs her.

She’s grateful when Alex grabs onto her, more than just a hand on her arm, but her other arm wrapped completely around Maggie’s back and grabbing at her shirt.

Grabbing at her shirt like her grasp and her grasp alone can keep Maggie holding her, can keep Maggie close, can keep Maggie from disappearing.

But she needn’t worry, because Maggie wouldn’t leave her right now, or ever. Not even with the most powerful forces on earth standing against her. Not even with all of Cadmus’s worst weapons trained at her head –

“I…” Alex is gasping, but it comes out like a yelp, like a scream, like a plea, and Maggie kisses her hair and rubs her back.

”I’m here, sweetie, I’m here, shhhh, breathe, Ally. Breathe, breathe, breathe.”

Alex gasps again, yelps again, and Maggie’s face remains motionless.

She swears to herself will murder Lilian Luthor for what she’s done to Alex the first chance she gets, Kara’s feelings for her daughter be damned.

”I coul – I couldn’t kill him, Maggie, I couldn’t… I couldn’t kill him,” she’s gasping, she’s pleading, she’s praying, she’s begging, and Maggie kisses her hair again, again, again, rocks her slightly, holds her face close into her chest.

She doesn’t tell her that she doesn’t understand, doesn’t tell her to slow down and start from the beginning, doesn’t tell her to regulate herself.

Because she loves her, loves her, loves her, and it doesn’t matter if she has all the pieces to the Jeremiah Danvers puzzle just yet: all that matters is that she holds the pieces of his broken daughter together, safe, loved, with her bare hands.

”Of course you couldn’t, Ally, he’s your dad. He’s your dad, he’s still your dad,” she whispers, because she doesn’t know, but she can imagine, and her vow to destroy Lilian grows that much stronger.

”He said…” She’s gasping again, and Maggie nods as she rubs her back and kisses her damp forehead, because Alex’s entire body is shuddering with agony, and Maggie is so proud of her girl for letting it out.

So grateful that she trusts her enough to cry to her like about Jeremiah the way Maggie had cried about her own father.

Fathers. Fathers. Fathers.

”He said he was doing it for me. Betrayed everyone I… I love… for me.”

Maggie’s heart breaks, because she knows Alex.

She pulls back and Alex grabs at her desperately, and Maggie gives her a small, broken smile. “I’m not going anywhere, Al, but look at me.” Alex won’t, and Maggie lifts her chin again tenderly, softly, lovingly.

Alex’s eyes are beautiful, even swimming in torture, even swollen with tears, even red with agony.

”Hi,” Maggie whispers, and the ghost of a smile dances across Alex’s features.

”Alex, whatever he’s done – whatever he’s doing – it is not your fault. It’s not your fault that he started in the first place, and it’s not your fault that you let him go.”

Alex scoffs and tries to reach for the bottle again, but Maggie brings her hands to her lips instead, and kisses each knuckle in turn as Alex watches, as Alex cries silently.

”You are an incredible, powerful, brave, smart woman, Alex. You know – you know – that this isn’t your fault. That none of this is on you. You know what the brave thing was, Alex? Not pulling that trigger. The brave thing was compassion. The brave thing was empathy. The brave thing was looking out for your soul, because you never would have forgiven yourself if you killed him, Alex, and you don’t deserve to live with that. The brave thing was trusting the people you love – the people he betrayed – to fix this. With you. As a team. What is it Kara’s symbol means, stronger together, right? The brave thing was trusting that, Ally. Trusting the people who love you best.”

She pauses and she watches the hope growing in Alex’s eyes, watches the self-loathing seep out of her shoulders, out of her jawline.

She has never been in love like this.

”Trusting me,” she adds in a voice so small she barely hears herself say it.But Alex hears it. She hears it and her eyes widen and her breath pauses and her lips part slightly.

“I do,” she whispers back, her voice raspy with tears. “Trust you.”

Maggie stares at her, trying to read her eyes, trying to read if the word trust is, right now, a substitute for something else. Something like love.

“I trust you, too, Alex.” Another long pause, and Maggie swears Alex is trying to figure out the same thing she is.

“We’re going to fix this. Together. You and me and Kara and J’onn and James and Winn. You have people who love you, Alex, to the ends of the earth and so far beyond. I promise you, we’re going to fix this.”

“I don’t deserve you,” Alex murmurs, leaning forward to rest her head again on Maggie’s chest.

“You deserve everything wonderful and nothing less, Alex Danvers. I promise you that.”

Alex sighs and snuggle closer into her, and warmth courses through Maggie’s boiling veins.

“Stay tonight?” Alex pleads into her shirt softly, softly, softly.

My title is borrowed from @postmodernmulticoloredcloak comment on my crazy blogging after first watching this episode earlier. I feel like it is a fitting title for how this episode made me feel. To clarify, these are very very happy pterodactyls.

Steve Yokey wrote this episode and he appears to have well and truly taken up the gap left when Robbie Thompson sadly left the show. In fact this episode to me channels the ghost of Robbie in many different ways. From the fanfiction-esque moments of poor suffering third wheel Sam, to the meta nod to Charlie Bradbury, there is much of Robbie to be found here. Basically, it was bloody perfect.

I feel like there is so much to talk about in this episode that fandom will be chewing on it for months if not years to come. Yokey has picked up the characterisations brilliantly, and seems to have an understanding of what the fandom desperately craves in terms of Castiel, his character, his personality and his development. I adored his sass in this episode. Some other writers *cough*bucklemming*cough* struggle to really capture Castiel’s sass and humour. Showing their lack of understanding of Castiel’s persona and his intelligence and instead writing him in a way that is jarring and sometimes basically stupid. Castiel is far from stupid. In this episode he was written perfectly, in a way I haven’t seen since Edlund’s time. Is that a sweeping statement? Maybe. But I’m still riding my high so let me have it this time.

This episode gave us three of my favourite things. Badass and Sassy Castiel, Overprotective grumpy husband Dean, and poor long suffering brother Sam. (baring in mind this is how they are usually written in fanfiction nowadays this is exactly my jam and I am so so happy to see it play out on screen. Seriously who sold their soul to Crowley for this episode?)

This review will also be in two parts. Because I have so freaking much to say about it.

The first part will focus on destiel, the second on everything else including Castiel’s emotional arc (as separate from destiel), his relationships with angels, angels and gender and Lily Sunder’s character.

The first time Alexander Hamilton had ever spoken to his soulmate, he was seven years old, living on Nevis with his mother. He had written a poem on his wrist, hoping that whoever his perfect match was would read it. His soulmate had written back, That was a terrible poem. But thank you.

They’d talked every day from then on. Alex had learned to love this nameless, faceless person. When Alex was feeling vulnerable or anxious, he would write SOS on his arm, and his soulmate would begin to draw happy little doodles on his arm to cheer him up. It always worked.

Imagine… Maggie and Kara can’t find Alex. The time is running out and Maggie is horrified. She’s been broken before in her life, but she is sure losing Alex will kill her. She fights with Kara about the plan to save her. A lot. Both of them very passionate about their feelings for Alex.

Maggie is sitting in Alex’s apartment, it’s late, lights are out, glass of scotch in her hand. She doesn’t even know how she ended up here, it’s like her feet brought her there on their own.

She’s not even capable of crying anymore. She’s exhausted, desperate and angry. She should be angry at people who took her, but she’s more angry at herself. Cos she is the one not able to help her. To find and save her. Maggie would give anything to get her back, to keep her alive, to hold her in her arms once again.

She pours herself another glass of scotch, looking bluntly over the apartment.

The place she kissed her, after realizing she has feelings for her. And there, when they spent the first night together, making coffee, being so happy.

Quiet sob escapes Maggie’s lungs. They fought. They fought pretty badly before she was taken. And the reason was basically Maggie’s stubbornness. She never said to her how much she loves her.

What if she never gets the opportunity to do so? Was the last words she ever said to her really the angry, sarcastic ‘of course you do’?

Quiet ‘swoosh’ sound interrupts her thoughts and even without looking back, she knows Kara just flew into the apartment.

It’s way past midnight, but she isn’t really surprised Kara is there. She needs to feel Alex as much as she does and this is the best place for it.

Maggie puts the glass on the table and slowly gets up, not saying anything. They haven’t talked after the big fight few hours before.

“I’m sorry,” almost a whisper resonates through the apartment, Maggie surprised at the words coming from Kara’s lips.

Maggie walks around the couch and stops in front of Kara in her Supergirl suit, looking into her eyes. A single tear falling down from her eye.

“No Kara, I’m sorry. You’ve been in Alex’s life for so much longer than me, it’s not my place to assume that-”

“Maggie,” Kara cuts her off, hearing her own voice trembling with emotions. “You make Alex so happy… she’s never been so happy I…. She needs you… I need you.”

Maggie swallows hard, nodding a little. “I love her,” she whispers. “And I haven’t-” her voice fails, ugly sob escaping her lungs.

She feels strong arms wrapping around her shoulders, pulling her into a heartfelt hug.

“I know,” Kara whispers, closing her own eyes, feeling tears falling down her cheeks.

“I haven’t told her,” Maggie is crying. She feels her legs melting into nothing, finally letting go of her restraint, letting her emotions and all the feelings out.

Kara holds her, literally supporting Maggie from falling to the ground. Kara feels exactly the same way. But she knows she must stay strong. There is still time and they will find her sister.

No matter the cost.

“We will find her Maggie,” Kara feels after a while, she can let go of her, so she does. She looks right into Maggie’s eyes.

Maggie is surprised by the severity of Kara’s expression.

“Now is time to cross every line we need to cross. We do it your way and we will save Alex. What do you need me to do?”

Maggie quietly nods. They are going to save Alex.

Together.

You knocked on the door to the boys’ loft, smiling widely as you heard the locks click and eventually, the door swung open.

“Mon petit lion, your girlfriend is here.” Laf teased, pulling you into a hug when you walked in. You rolled your eyes, but hugged him back nonetheless, happy to see the Frenchman. “Be on your best behavior, now.”

“Which one?” Alex called back smugly as Laf closed the door behind you. You shot Alex a glare, crossing your arms and eyeing him from where you stood. He looked up from his laptop to see you still glaring at him.

Really? Your expression so clearly said. He had to hold back a laugh.

He playfully gasped and smiled when he realized you weren’t budging and could actually be very pissed off. “My favorite one is here.“ He teased, saving his work and walking toward you.

Your glare only intensified. Laf snickered as he looked between you two.

“I’m only kidding, sweetheart. You’re my only one.“

“That’s better.” You grinned, pulling him into a hug and smiling when he kissed your cheek, humming obnoxiously loud as he did so. "Okay, quick question. Why does it look like a bomb went off in here?“ You looked around their place, laughing a little.

“It was done this way to accurately represent my life.” Herc mumbled, making you laugh.

“Or because I’m the only one who bothers to clean around here,” Laf mumbled.

“Not true!” John said in defense, looking up from his little notebook. His eyes were sparkling as he laughed a little, grinning at Laf who ruffled his curly hair.

“Did you still want to go out?“ Alex asked, wrapping an arm around your waist nonchalantly. Everyone didn’t understand how you two would so easily hold hands, cuddle, and lean on one another, yet claimed you never had feelings for one another.

Which was true to an extent. You had told everyone that you were in fact not dating, but you and Alex knew the truth. You both had little crushes on one another. You’d both confessed to one another and were excited to see how this would play out. It was just amusing right now to act like a couple without that label.

“Might as well take me out, Hamilton.” You sighed with a playful smile. “I came all the way over here.” You challenged, leaning into him.

“Mm.” He grinned. “You just can’t seem to stay away, can you?”

“Guess you’ve got me.” You shrugged, feeling your cheeks redden slightly. If his smile could grow any bigger, it would have.

You were just so cute. Your banter was always something he looked forward to. To see you walk through that door made him so happy. He really did love you.

Alex let go of you for a moment to fix his hair, taking the long tresses out of his ponytail. He ran a hand through his hair and shook it out a little. He caught you staring and gave you a smile. “Like what you see?“

"Why is your hair even prettier than me?” You pouted a little.

“Nothing could be prettier than you, darling."

Lafayette snorted. Hercules let out a boo. John said “3 out of 10,” making you laugh a little.

“Cheeeeeesy, Alex.” He chuckled. “You really fall for this kind of stuff, (Y/N)?”

You stuck your tongue out at him and he gave you a wink.

You looked back at Alex, who for the time being let his hair down. He had his hands in his pockets and shifted his weight from his toes to his heels, rocking back and forth, almost amused with what he had done to you. You didn’t bother trying to hide your blush. You thought he was the handsomest man you knew. You liked his hair down better.

"No work today?” You said quickly, eyebrows raised a little.

“Didn’t say that, but I just might be able to squeeze you in.” He said, looking down at you.

"Wow, Alex, you really know how to make a girl feel special."

"Not to mention you’re a piece of work."

"Well, I’m a luxury few can afford, Alexander."

He chuckled, twinkle in his eye. "I know a good thing when I see one."

"Why aren’t you two dating?” John said, exasperated. “Kiss. Date. Fall in love. Get married. Have cute kids. Come on already.”

“Oui. What is stopping you two?” Laf asked from the kitchen, looking for something to eat.

“She’s just so perfect. I dunno.” Alex shrugged, but the little smile was still there on his lips. He was looking into your eyes, making your cheeks warm up even more. You found the courage to look back at Alex, and smiled. You found yourself getting lost in his own pretty set of eyes.

“I’m just a l-little intimidated, I guess.” He stuttered, biting his lip slightly.

You laughed a little nervously, shaking your head and tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “I’m trash. Shut up.”

“Then I guess I can pick you up and take you out, right?” He raised his eyebrows a little, a grin on his face as your expression changed before his eyes. “Eh? Eh? C’mon? That was pretty good.”

You rolled your eyes, crossing your arms over your chest as he leaned in, clearly proud of his clever pick up line.

“John, gimme a score.”

“Eh, 7.5.” Laurens said, and you felt yourself finally break as you laughed a little more. Alex huffed, but said he would take it. It was better than a previous 3 after all.

“I’ll see if I can fit you into my schedule.” You hummed. “See this, this really cute guy just asked me out,” You went on, grinning. “Used a cute clever pick up line and I’m really thinking about going.”

“Oh yeah?” Alex raised his eyebrows, leaning in a little closer. He crossed his arms over his chest, mimicking you.

“Yeah!” You exaggerated, smiling wider.

“Well, what’s he like?”

“He’s incredibly smart. Witty. Funny. Great writer. Loves to argue with people.”

“He sounds like a great guy. Sure he’s real cute too, huh?”

“Yeah! How’d you know?”

“I probably know a guy as amazing as him.”

“Of course you know Jefferson! He’s  so great.” You exaggerated. “We have a couple classes together! Do you think I should go out with him, Herc?” You looked to the other boys for help, teasing Alex further as they encouraged you to go out with him.

“Oh, you’re evil.” Alex chuckled, and ran a hand through his hair. “What does he have that I don’t?”

“Weeeeellll, he’s about a head taller,” You smirked, getting closer to Alex and looking him right in the eye. Then, you leaned in, standing on your tiptoes slightly to whisper in his ear. “And he’s a great kisser.”

Alex smirked, clenching his jaw slightly as you pulled away nonchalantly. “Is that so? Who are you comparing him too?”

“He’s in a league of his own.” You hummed, hands innocently behind your back. You knew Alex was getting annoyed at this point. You could see the fire in his eye.

“I beg to differ.” Alex said confidently. He had to be better at Jefferson in everything.

“What are you going to do?” You challenged. “How will you prove it? Are you gonna … Kiss me? I dare you.” You smirked, pretty lips curving into the slyest of smiles.

You could see in his eyes how badly he wanted to. You wouldn’t dare stop him if he did.

“You mean, y’all haven’t kissed already?” Herc scoffed from the couch. “I’m surprised at your self control."

"Just do it already.” Laf mumbled, almost bored as he leaned against the counter, chin resting in his hand. “You’re practically a couple.”

“Yep.” John piped up. “All true statements.”

“It seeems we have an audience.” You looked back up at him, shrugging nonchalantly. “So what are you gonna do, Hamilton? Hm?”

You were looking at each other, smiling so wide with flushed cheeks. The ball was in his court. If he didn’t make a move, you’d make one later. Thank goodness he did though. It wasn’t long before you felt Alex lean down and kiss you, holding you tightly by your waist and holding you close. You smiled against his lips, running your hands through his hair gently.

The other guys didn’t expect you to do it. Especially so easily.

Hercules’ eyes were huge when he looked back. Laf almost dropped the bowl of cereal in his hand. John looked right up from his notebook when he realized it was too quiet in the room. He felt his jaw drop at the sight.

Alex’s lips melted against yours, fitting perfectly. You both slowly pulled away, almost hesitant to end the sweet kiss. When you pulled back, your cheeks were red and Alex’s eyes were sparkling.

“Who’s Jefferson?” You breathed out, and Alex laughed a little as you bit your lip a little. “I’m yours.“ You smirked. Dang, he was a good kisser.

"I like the sound of that.” Alex leaned in a little closer, kissing your cheek repeatedly, making you laugh as he put his hands around your waist so you couldn’t escape. “What? What’s wrong?” He continued to kiss you, going down towards your neck as you giggled and tried to shove him off.

“A-Alex!” You managed to squirm out of his grasp, laughing a little more and straightening yourself out. You smoothed out your clothes and fixed your hair. Alex’s eyes on you didn’t help at all.

“I was, um, not expecting that.” John said, chuckling a little as he looked between the two of you.

“Me either.“ Alex said, with a little laugh, but there was no trace of regret in his voice. You joined in, laughing a little too. "Say that again, will you?"

"Say what?” You raised an eyebrow slightly.

“I’m yours."

“Oh,” You smiled, taking his hand confidently. "I’m yours."

He kissed your cheek, bringing you back into his side, making you laugh. "I could get used to this.”

“Well, I’m not going anywhere.”

“Good. Because I want to do this again.”

He leaned in, giving you another kiss that pleasantly surprised you. You didn’t fight it, letting yourself sink into his embrace and pulling him closer. He dipped you slightly, hands on your waist to steady you as the boys howled around you.

“John, give me a score!” Was the first thing Alex said when you both pulled away happily.

“I think (Y/N) and I can agree that was a ten.” John smiled at you, once you had broken off the kiss from Alex. You nodded sheepishly, covering your face to hide your blush as the other guys cooed.

You gently tiptoed to kiss Alex’s cheek, and smiled in turn when his cheeks reddened slightly.

“Definitely a ten.”

Sanvers in College: Alex Drunk Dials the Cute Girl from Bio Class

Based on this post: https://hazingblur.tumblr.com/post/160026282401/queercapwriting-wlwprompts-person-a-is-drunk @hazingblur

Original prompt from @wlwprompts : “Person A is drunk and decides to randomly call that cute girl from biology class to tell her she’s pretty”

@lesbapocalypse you also asked for this so like.

She’s drunk and she’s stolen Kara’s phone, because it’s finals week and all bets are off and that cute girl from biology class?

She’s 1000% sure that her name is Maggie – Maggie Sawyer – not that she paid attention.

Pfft.

No. Of course she didn’t.

And she’s 1000% sure that said Maggie Sawyer is the same Maggie that her little sister has befriended.

And therefore, that cute girl’s number – and when she says cute, she means it, but god, she also means blazingly sexy – must be in Kara’s phone.

So she swipes the phone from her sister’s bag while Kara laughs with James and Winn. Swipes it and chugs another gulp of illegal punch and she finds Maggie’s name – complete with a picture, god, a gorgeous picture, because damn, those dimples, that hair, those downcast eyes – in Kara’s contacts.

Finds the name, and tries once, twice, three times, to successfully hit the big green button that makes the phone dial.

She giggles and almost bounces on the balls of her feet as the phone rings, rings, rings.

“Hey Kara!”

Alex freezes at the sound of her voice – her voice that she’s used to hearing only asking the best questions, only giving the best answers, in bio lecture, in bio lab – and she contemplates hanging up and leaving it to her sister to explain the butt dial.

“Kara?”

But now Maggie sounds concerned, because she must hear the party in the background, and Alex has seen her smile, seen her nerdiness, but she’s also seen her motorcycle, her leather jacket, her gym bag. And she doesn’t want her to be concerned, to feel like she has to speed to the party to rescue Kara from whatever situation she might be in.

“Hey! No, nope, not Kara. I mean, of course you thought it was Kara, I took her phone, I mean, obviously you thought it was her – ”

“Danvers?”

“Not the blonde one!”

“Alex.”

“Hiiiii.”

There’s a pause and she thinks she hears Maggie shuffling something.

“Danvers, you drunk? Are you with people, drinking water?”

“Awww, Sawyer, you care about me!”

“Well I sure don’t want you passing out in your own vomit, Danvers. I’ve been there, it’s not pleasant.”

Her voice is pleasant, though, and Alex collapses drunkenly onto a half-occupied couch, completely oblivious to the couple that had been making out, who shoot her irritated looks as they get up to find a better spot to kiss.

Alex thinks she hears that shuffling again, and maybe some wind, but she’s drunk and everything is oh so slightly hazy, but pleasantly so – pleasant, because Maggie Sawyer is on the phone with her, Maggie Sawyer cares whether she throws up or not. Maggie Sawyer. God. How can anyone be that perfect?

“I’m finnneee. I just… it’s just, I know you’re Kara’s friend, but we’ve never really talked, and I… even if you weren’t Kara’s friend, I’d have noticed you, you know. I mean, how could I not notice you? Do you know we’re in the same bio class? You’re always so smartest. The smartest girl in the class. The smartest and the cutest. And my sister’s friend! What are the odds, huh? Maybe we can calculate it with genome mapping or something. But we’re more than our code, right, we have to be. You believe that, right, Maggie?”

“Hey, Danvers, I’m not cutting you off, but can you do me a favor?”

Alex preens. Her last name sounds so nice on Maggie’s tongue. She wonders what else would feel nice on Maggie’s tongue. Everything, probably.

She nods before she realizes vaguely that Maggie can’t see her.

“Mmhmm.”

“Remind me which house is throwing the party you all are at.”

Alex squints as she tries to remember. “The one across from the science building. Where we take bio. Together. But now term is ending and maybe we won’t do anything together again. Not even that we did anything in bio together, because I was too nervous to – ”

“Danvers, whoa whoa. Can you do me another favor, sweetie?”

Alex’s heart backflips and she almost careens off the couch, because she called her sweetie, she called her sweetie, she called her sweetie.

The sound of wind on the other line increases in her ear, but maybe that’s just a side effect from how hard she’s pressing the phone to her ear, like the closer she clutches it, the closer she’ll be to Maggie.

“Yeah.” She thinks her voice might be higher, might be breathier, than it normally is, but that’s alright, because Maggie Sawyer called her sweetie.

“I know you have things you feel like you want to tell me right now, and I want to hear them, but only if you still want to tell me when you’re sober, okay?”

Alex blinks and furrows her brow at the phone, because – maybe she’s more drunk than she thought – Maggie’s voice seems to be coming from two places, now. One, through the phone, and one, less static-y, closer to her body.

She looks up from the couch and she startles, because Maggie is standing over her, crouching down next to her as she hangs up her phone, all basketball shorts and hoodie and flip flops and hair hastily tied back into a messy ponytail.

She’s grinning softly, but she’s breathing kind of heavily, like she’d just sprinted from her dorm room. Because, Alex realizes dimly, that’s exactly what she just did.

“Hey Alex,” she says as Alex splutters, as Alex fumbles to sit up straight, to fix her hair, to hang up Kara’s phone without dropping it.

Alex thinks she may be imagining it, but Maggie’s voice is softer, now, more breakable, now, more vulnerable, now, than it had been when they’d been on the phone. When Maggie had been on a search-and-give-water-to-the-drunk-girl mission.

But now that she’s arrived, water bottle she must have grabbed on the way out of her dorm in hand, her voice is shy, and her eyes are shy, and her eyes are something that look a little scared.

“Hi Maggie,” Alex whispers, and then giggles because she’s not sure why she’s whispering.

Maggie grins, and it’s the sweetest sight Alex has ever seen. She made Maggie Sawyer smile.

“Why did you come all the way here? You didn’t have to come all the way here, I – ”

“Well, clearly your sister doesn’t know what you’re up to or how drunk you are, because if she did I would have heard her in the background telling you to think before you dial and all that stuff.”

Alex covers her face with hands made clumsy by alcohol.

“Ugh, I’m sorry, you’re right, I shouldn’t have – I ruined your night, I embarrassed myself, I’m sorry, Maggie, I – ”

“Hey, hey, no, that’s not what I meant.” Maggie gets up from her crouch to sit on the couch next to Alex, and she opens the water bottle for her and presses it gently into her hands.

“Drink. Please?”

“I’m not that drunk.”

Maggie just nods, and Alex does as she’s told.

She finishes the entire bottle in one chug, and Maggie just watches her with cautious but glistening eyes.

“Okay, come on. Kara!” she calls across the room, and Kara seems to materialize next to them instantly.

“Maggie! I thought you weren’t in the mood to party toni – Alex? Are you okay? What – ”

“Here. Your phone.”

“How did you – ”

“Tell you in the morning. Right now, I’m gonna take your sister back to my room – no funny business, I promise – and help her sober up a little. Okay?”

Kara glances between Maggie’s disheveled appearance and Alex’s drunken one, and she kisses Alex’s cheek.

“Don’t give her a hard time, okay, Alex?” she teases, and Alex giggles as she stands unsteadily, both Kara and Maggie stabilizing her.

“When do I give anyone a hard time?”

Kara just kisses her again, just thanks Maggie, doesn’t object to their arrangement, because she trusts Maggie not to take advantage of her sister, and she knows that her sister would like nothing more than to get to know Maggie better. She just wishes she’d have had the courage to reach out sober. But they’ll work on that. The three of them.

Alex leans on Maggie, who’s wrapped her arm around Alex’s waist, and revels in the contact.

As they walk, she rambles about the chemical structure of alcohol. About its impacts on the brain. Maggie listens and Maggie smiles and Maggie nods in all the right places, and Maggie lets her talk, lets her talk, because she’s focused on making sure she doesn’t let the taller girl stumble and fall.

When Maggie shoves her dorm door open, Alex freezes.

“You know I’ve wanted this since like, the first time I saw you. For you to take me back to your room. To…” Her eyes flit down to Maggie’s lips.

“To kiss you.”

Maggie gulps and slips away from her, taking care to keep her hands on Alex’s arms to help her stabilize.

“Go pee.”

“What?”

“You’re this drunk? You for sure need to pee. Bathroom’s right there. Can you make it on your own?”

Alex nods with tears in her eyes, and Maggie hates herself a little bit, but she’d hate herself a lot more if she let this conversation continue.

The bathroom door shuts and the water flushes and the sink runs for a long, long, long moment.

When Alex stumbles out, it’s with confusion and the shadows of hurt in her eyes.

“Did I do something wrong? I don’t have to stay here, you didn’t have to – I just thought – you ran to… to rescue me, and you gave me water, and you took me home, and I thought that meant you like me as much as I like you, and I –

"Alex. Alex, Alex, look… We can talk about all this when you’re sober. If you still want to talk about it. I promise. But right now? Right now, we can talk biology. Or astrophysics, or about the dessication and revival of tardigrades, whatever you want. Just not us. Not now. And certainly no kissing. Okay?”

Alex slumps down onto Maggie’s bed without asking, and Maggie just grins and kneels to help take Alex’s boots off.

“Why not?”

“Because you’re drunk, Danvers,” Maggie giggles like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.

“It’s never mattered to any guy,” Alex almost whispers, and Maggie stiffens, and her nostrils flare, and her eyes are more serious, more full of rage, than Alex has ever seen them.

“Well, it matters to me. Okay? Come on.”

She helps Alex swing her legs up onto the bed, holds her up to take in one more glass of water, hastily poured, and she kicks off her flip flops and grabs a pillow from the other side of her bed.

“You’re not gonna come to bed?”

“The floor’s perfectly fine for me, Danvers.”

“But – ”

“When you’re sober. If you still want to. I promise, Alex. Okay?”

“You promise?”

“Yeah, Danvers. Yeah. I promise.”

But Alex is asleep, a small smile on her face, before Maggie even finishes her promise. Her promise to her best friend’s big sister, who she’s been trying to gather the courage to ask out for months now.

She snuggles down onto the floor and – eventually – falls asleep with a smile on her own face, too.

Let Us Know (PolyHamilsquad x reader)

A/N: Hello, my lovely wonderfuls! Here is my first (of many) polyhamilsquad story! I just realized I never put what character I’m writing about in the title (whoops). I apologize, I know I appreciate that when other (more talented) writers do that, so I’ll try keep that up. Anyways, I had lots of fun writing this and I really hope you all enjoy it! As always thank you, thank you, thank you for reading! And I hope you all have a day as wonderful and lovely as you are! Oh! And the song used in this fic is Back At One By Brian McKnight :)

.
.

You loved Sunday mornings. They were your favorite day of the week. Mostly because it was all your boys day off and you all got to sleep late. You loved waking up wrapped up with all your boys. It never failed to make you smile and fill you with joy.

This particular Sunday morning you were woken up by Johns soft lips pressing gentle kisses to your neck. You smile with your eyes still closed and run your fingers through his hair.

He looks up at you a smile gracing his sweet freckled face.

“Good morning lover girl, you’re looking beautiful as always,” he says nuzzling your neck and giving you more kisses.

You giggle and shake your head.

“I don’t think I look beautiful at all, but thank you,” you pull his face to yours and place a soft kiss of your own on his lips.

Lafayette starts stir beside you, “I want morning kisses too, ma petit colombe.”
You smile and turn to him.

“Well, Johnny here decided to steal his morning kisses from me.”

John nods pecking your cheek as you smile. Laf looks serious in thought, before wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you towards him.

“I guess, I’ll have to steal mine too,” he says placing kisses all over your face.

“Gil,” you giggle.

He smiles down at you, and places a long, toe curling kiss on your lips. He pulls away when John clears his throat. Laf looks at John.

“You want on too, ma douce?”

John nods and Laf gives him kiss just like yours. They pull apart and you can see the love in their eyes and it makes your heart swell.

“Don’t mind me boys, I’m just going to move out of the way,” you say jokingly, trying to scoot out from between them. Before you can really get anywhere, Lafs hands are on your hips again, holding you still.

“Non, mon ange, we’re not done with you yet.”

You look from him to John and see their matching smirks and purse your lips.

“Are you sure you don’t want to wake up the other boys?” you ask, thinking the suggestion might distract them.

“We will, in just a few minutes,” Laf says as he starts kissing your neck and John kisses that ticklish spot on your ribs.

You start to squirm, trying to move. When you hear Alex begin to stir.

“Alex, honey, good morning. Look, boys Alex is awake,” you say and they both cease for a moment and chuckle.

“Are you bothering our dear (Y/N) already?”

“Non, mon amour, we’re stealing morning kisses,” Laf says while wiggling his eyebrows at Alex.

“Well, in that case,” and without warning Alex jumps over John and is on top of you within seconds.

“Alex,” you say in a warning tone.

“Yes, my love?” he asks a smirk at his lips as he leans over you.

“Don’t you think I should go make breakfast?”

“Of course, right after I steal my morning kisses,” and with that his lips are on yours.

He places a passionate kiss on your lips and then a gentle kiss, before moving down to your collar bone. Meanwhile, John and Laf had taken to kissing your hands and wrists. Leaving you no way of escape.

“Boys I think you’ve stolen more than enough,” you say breathlessly.

“Are you sure, mon ange?”

“I disagree baby girl.”

“Nope, not nearly enough, my love.”

You sigh, your only hope was Hercules. You start trying to tap him with your foot. You do so a few times and he starts to stir.

“Herc, my darling, would you mind helping me?”

He lifts his head to see your predicament and chuckles before sitting up.

“Alright, my loves, leave the cupcake alone.”

They all give a slight pout, as Herc helps you out of their hold, holding you to his chest. You smile up at him.

“Now, what’s going on?”

“We were stealing morning kisses,” John says wrapping his arms around Alex, while he reaches for Laf.

Herc laughs, “stealing morning kisses huh?”

He looks at you and you nod seriously. “Don’t you know you’re supposed to ask a lady for a kiss? Watch and learn.”

Herc turns his attention back to you and clears his throat.

“My darling, beautiful lady, may I have the pleasure of receiving a morning kiss?” You giggle before responding.

“Of course my darling,” you giggle, placing a hand to his cheek as you kiss him slowly and sweetly, silently thanking him for his rescue.

You both pull apart smiling, and look at the rest of your boys when you hear a throat clear. You see all three of them on one knee on the bed, with their right hands over their hearts and their left out towards you.

“My darling, beautiful lady, may I have the pleasure of receiving a morning kiss?” they all recite in together. You laugh and look at Herc, signaling him to let you down.

“Since you all asked so nicely,” you approach each of them giving them quick kisses on the lips barely slipping out of Alexander’s grasp.

They all give you pout, while you stand behind Herc.

“Darling, will you keep them distracted while I go make breakfast?

“Anything for you cupcake,” you kiss Hercs cheek and make your way to the kitchen. You hear a few sad groans before a burst of laughter from the bedroom.

You smile as you begin breakfast, this was really your favorite day. You loved spending time with your boys, and this was actually somewhat rare.

Your boys worked so hard, it was difficult to have this type of quality time all together. But, you usually had at least one of them around, so it didn’t bother you too much. You always reveled in these days though, these perfect blissful days.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Soon your favorite days were gone. At first it wasn’t that bad, but within a month it was like they all got twice as busy as before. Even your Sundays were no longer waking up late and spending the day together.

Now there was always one of them gone and you hated it, but you rationalized with yourself. It was their work, it was just because they had to work that was all.

Their usual attentiveness had dwindled. In the morning you woke up with your boys and made them breakfast, and lunches (they had a tendency to forget to eat). Instead of sweet, sometimes lingering kisses, you got a quick peck on the cheek or forehead as they made their way out the door.

Again, you told yourself that they were just consumed with work. They weren’t purposely putting you on the back burner. You reassured yourself daily, you knew they loved you. They had told you and shown you countless times. They loved you, they did.

Two months went by and it was still much of the same. You would tell yourself everyday, it’s just because of work. They had time consuming jobs.

Lafayette was a heart surgeon, Alex and John were lawyers, and Herc was a clothing designer. Laf was called into work at random times, of course you could understand how tired he was. Alex and John were both top lawyers at their firm, of course they want to stay there, you could understand their stress.

Herc was one of the best designers in New York, not to mention the country, and he had to travel to make sure things were done properly. Of course you understood, he made beautiful clothing, they were his own masterpieces, he wanted them done right.

All of this you understood and took into consideration. Everytime you got a peck instead of a kiss, a wave instead of an embrace, a quick ‘sure’ instead of an ‘of course, my love’. Everytime you got a brush off quickly because they had more important things to do.

You reminded yourself that they had hard jobs and that they worked hard. You didn’t need to take anything personally. But, it was getting harder and harder to do. You were a nurse at a pediatricians office and maybe your work wasn’t as hard as theirs, but you still made time for them.

You always made sure they ate during the day, sometimes forgetting to eat yourself. You always tried to make sure they got enough sleep, especially Alexander. You made sure they knew how much you loved them. Was it so bad to want that in return?

Your patience and understanding was starting to wear thin. You had had a really shitty day. The office had been busier than normal and full of sick children. Several of which had puked and or peed on you. There was constant screaming, and even some unfortunate hair pulling.

You had a pulsing headache, your feet were killing you, and you smelt unpleasant. All you wanted was a long shower, food, and sleep.

When you arrived home, you could see all of your boys were home. On your way into your home, you could hear Alex yelling at someone over the phone. John seemed to be looking over some files and Laf and Herc seemed to be talking in the kitchen.

You stood their for a few minutes waiting for a ‘welcome home’ or some type of acknowledgement. Much to your dismay there came none. You made your way to the bedroom, but before you were all the way there, Laf finally noticed you were home.

“There she is! We’ve been waiting for you,” he says smiling. “We’re going out in celebration of our Hercules being home. Go get ready so we can go.”

The thought of going out right now made you want cringe. You were so tired, physically and emotionally. You felt almost empty with all you’ve given these past months.

“I’m sorry boys, I just don’t feel up to it, but you guys go and have fun.”

They all look disappointed, including Alex, who had finally gotten off the phone.

“Come on (Y/N), it’ll be fun. Just get ready real quick,” Alex says looking at you like you were being slightly ridiculous.

“Please, we haven’t spent quality time together in a while, go get ready and we’ll wait,” John says in a sweet tone that makes you want to cry and yell at the same time. Where have you been??

“No, boys really I’m sorry, I’ve had a long day and just want to shower and go to sleep.”

“How about you shower and then we can go, I know you’ve had a long day, but don’t you want to spend time with us,” Alex tells you somewhat accusingly. The other boys looking at you for an answer.

And it’s the final straw, you had been patient, and sweet and understanding for two months. And now they were turning this on you? As if you’re the one neglecting them, as if you hadn’t waited up for them and then woken up with them to make sure they got to work and home okay. As if you hadn’t been taking the bare minimum of affection from them for two months!

“You know what, I know we haven’t spent time together. You want to know how I know? For the past two months, I’ve made sure all of you were okay, and eating, and cared about, whether you were here or at work or traveling.” You look at all them pointedly, trying to keep your tears at bay.

“I have waited up and gotten up for all of you everyday, made sure you had everything you needed,” you close your eyes and take a breath. “You know what I’ve gotten these past two months?” you look at each of them, they all look somewhat shocked at your outburst. “I’ve gotten quick pecks and half assed acknowledgments.”

“I know you all work hard and you’re all amazing at what you do. Usually you do make time for me and I appreciate the time I do get, but these past two months,” you take a breath as the tears starts to spill over your cheeks. “It’s just, it would be nice not to feel so empty once in awhile. I love you all so much but lately I feel like I’m just giving, and giving, and giving, and I’m left with nothing! I’ve tried to be understanding and patient, but I can’t do it anymore. And you know what I shouldn’t have to!”

They all stare at you guilt and sorrow on their faces, they look so distraught. And you feel instantly guilty.

“Baby girl…”

“My love…”

“Mon ange..”

“Cupcake…”

They have tears brimming in their eyes and you hate that you caused it. No matter how upset you were with them, you didn’t want them to hurt.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. It’s not your fault. I know it’s not, you’re all so good at what you do and I know you love your work. I’m just tired, that’s all.” They start to approach you, but you step back. “I’m fine, I promise. I’m just gonna go for a drive for a bit. You guys go out and have a nice dinner, okay?” You turn and walk out the door without waiting for a reply.

The boys try to stop you, but by the time they get to the door, you’re already gone. They go back inside and decide to wait for your return.

After two hours had passed they grew worried.

“She’ll come back, right?” John asks his other lovers.

“Of course she will, she loves us remember,” Herc tells him hugging him to his chest. Although the same fear was growing in the pit of his stomach

Alex looks less sure as he paces, hoping that you’re not crying on the road and his heart aching to be near you.

Lafayette is sitting on the couch, his knee bouncing, thinking of all the places you might go. And it hits him, the Schuylers! They were your best friends.

“I’m going to call Angelica and see if she’s heard from her,” the other boys nod their heads frantically.

“Angie, please tell me mon ange is with you….”

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

You drove around for thirty minutes before stopping at the Schuylers. You hated coming over unannounced, but you weren’t ready to go home and you were so tired.

You knocked on the door and tried to make yourself look presentable.

Peggy opened the door, took one look at you, pulled you in and called her sisters.
Eliza and Angelica came into the living room and immediately embraced you.

“(Y/N), what happened?” Angelica asks, brushing hair out of your face.

You try to hold back your tears, but they break free and fall down your cheeks. Eliza hugs you close and lets you cry on her shoulder until you’ve calmed.

After a few minutes, Peggy hands you some tissues and you thank her. You take a few deep breaths and tell them all what happened. How the past two months that the boys were so busy and you felt so lonely, how you tried to power through it, and how when you finally had all of them together you had an outburst that just ended up making everyone feel bad, including yourself.

“Okay, while we can all understand that they have time consuming jobs, that doesn’t mean they stop making time for you.”

“But Angie”-

“No, she’s right (Y/N). You shouldn’t feel any remorse about the way you feel in your heart. That’s not something you can control,” Eliza tells you holding your gaze.

Peggy nods in agreement before adding on.

“And you shouldn’t keep all of your emotions bottled up, if they’re doing something that hurts your feelings or makes you angry you need to say so.”

You nod knowing all of them are right, but the guilt still doesn’t dissipate.

“I need to get back home and talk to them,” you say getting up, but Angelica pulls you back down.

“You definitely need to talk to them, but it can wait until tomorrow.”

When you try protest both Eliza and Peggy shake their heads at you.

“You’re tired and emotionally drained, you need some time to refresh yourself.”

“And it’s okay to let them sweat a little bit, you do a lot for them,” Peggy says giving you a wink.

You laugh and shake your head.

“I need to tell them where I am, I don’t want them to freak out.”

“We’ll take care of it,” Angie says taking your phone from you. You knew better than to argue with her.

“Please be nice, I know I was upset, but I didn’t speak up either and they never meant to hurt me,” you look at her with pleading eyes, while she sighs and rolls her eyes at you.

“I guess, Eliza can call them then.”

The four of break out in laughter, once you all settle they send you to shower and told you to get some sleep.

Just as you leave, Angelica’s phone starts ringing and she sees it’s Lafayette. Right on time, she thinks.

“Angie, please tell me mon ange is with you..”

“Yes, she’s here and she’s spending the night, so don’t expect her home.”

She can hear the rest of the boys in the background, with relieved murmurs. She puts the phone on speaker, so her sisters can hear.

“Non, we can come get her.”

“You will do no such thing Laf. She needs some space, she is completely physically and emotionally drained.”

The boys pause at Eliza’s stern tone, but start up again.

“We need to talk to her, and comfort her, so she knows we love her,” John says his voice pleading.

“You can tell her all that tomorrow,” Peggy says.

The boys know that they won’t get past the Schuylers so they concede.

“Can you at least tell her that we love her and we’re sorry,” Alexander asks, sounding a little exasperated.

“We’ll relay the ‘we love you’, but you can all apologize yourselves tomorrow,” Angelica states.

“Try and get some sleep boys,” Eliza says in a more sympathetic tone this time.

Before they hang up, they hear a scoff and then, ‘yeah, like that’s gonna happen.’ They giggle and make their way to bed themselves.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The next day, the boys are knocking at the Schuylers door, bright and early. More accurately, Alex is knocking incessantly while the others are asking him to pause for a second.

Minutes later, the door swings open to reveal a very irritated Angelica.

“It’s eight in the morning on a Saturday,” she nearly growls while glaring at them.

“I brought some croissants, for you all, mon ami,” Laf offers with a pleading smile.

She just raises an eyebrow, before opening the door wider and standing aside so they could enter.

“I’ll wake the angel, you wait here,” she says walking away.

They all wait in the living room, Alexander is cracking his knuckles, Johns leg is bouncing, Lafayette has his hands resting on his thighs and tapping his fingers on them, and Herc has his elbows resting on his knees with his hands clasped in front of him sitting completely still.

As soon as you entered the room they all stood and resisted the urge to run to you. John just couldn’t help himself.

Before you can say a word he rushes to you and wraps his arms around you, burying his face in the crook of your neck.

“We’re sorry, we’re so sorry please don’t be upset anymore, we love you. Please don’t leave us.”

As the initial shock wears off you realize what John just said and look at the boys wide eyed. They all look away, and your heart aches.

You embrace John and step back a bit so you can look him in the eyes.

“I’m not leaving you guys, I love you,” your eyes meet each of the boys. “I may have been upset, but that doesn’t mean I’m just going to quit on our relationship, you’re all my everything.”

The rest of the boys, rush to you and John. You’re completely surrounded by them, and you exhale a breath you didn’t know you were holding. You finally felt at peace, the boys were your home.

“We’re so sorry, cupcake.”

“Oui, we don’t deserve you mon ange.”

“You’re our everything, love, we all need you more than you realize. You could probably do without us, but we cannot do without you.”

You look at each of them, tears springing to your eyes and your heart swelling. John turns you to face him and brushes a tear from your cheek.

“It’s true baby girl, and we came up with a little something to prove it.”

You look at him confused.

“A little something?”

You look to the other boys, and they all just smile at you. Herc takes your hand and leads you to the couch.

“We’re going to need you to sit here, cupcake,” he winks at you.

Your confusion only grows as they all line up in front of you.

“You got the disc, babe,” Herc says to John, who happily nods and places a cd in the stereo.

We’re they going to perform for you? And they all got into the same pose. They all stand their hands clasped together in front of them and their heads down.

It’s undeniable that we should be together, it’s unbelievable that used to say that I’d fall never…

Herc was the first to step forward lip-syncing the song and then followed John, Laf, and Alex.

The basis is need to know, if you don’t know just how I feel

Then let me show you now that I’m for real

If all things in time, time will reveal
Yeah

As one said a line the others danced behind him. Until they got to the chorus, which they all did together, acting out nearly every word.

One, you’re like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl it’s plain to see
That your the only one for me

Four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I start Back at One
Yeah (yeah)

You couldn’t help but smile at your boys, they were so ridiculously sweet, it made your heart soar.

It’s so incredible the way things work themselves out

And all emotional, once you know what it’s all about babe

And undesirable for us to be apart
Never would of made it very far

Cause you know that you’ve got the keys to my heart

Peggy, Angie, and Eliza had come to the living room because they heard music and held back their giggles at the boys sweet gesture.

Cause,
One, you’re like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl it’s plain to see
That your the only one for me

Four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I start Back at One

As you watched them, you couldn’t help but think how lucky you were to have your own personal boy band. You loved them all so much.

Say farewell to the dark of night I see the coming of the sun

I feel like a little child
Whose life has just begun

You came and breathed new life
Into this lonely heart of mine

You threw out the life line just in the Nick of Time

As the song continued, the more dramatic they got and you couldn’t contain your giggles. And seeing your face lit up with joy made the boys hearts race.

One, you’re like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl it’s plain to see
That your the only one for me

Four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I start Back at One

When they finished the last line, you jumped up and clapped, while the girls followed suit. They bowed and you went to them, giving each of them a kiss.

“So, you liked it?” Alex asked nervously.

“Are you kidding, I loved it! If I hadn’t already forgiven all of you, that would have convinced me,” you said smiling big at them.

“Can we go home now, cupcake?” Herc asks his arms around your waist and his forehead against yours.

“Of course,” you say smiling and kiss nose.

“Bien, because we didn’t get a lot of sleep, and we missed you last night,” Laf says nuzzling your neck behind you, making you giggle.

“I call sitting with (Y/N) in the back,” Alex says while pulling you into his arms, and resting his head on yours, as you rest yours on his chest.

“Oh! Me too!” John exclaims wrapping his arms around you and Alex from behind you.

“I guess that means we get to cuddle with our darling girl when we get home then,” Herc says to Laf.

Both Alex and John gasp, and you giggle.

“Okay, boys you can take turns, let’s go home.” You gather your things and say goodbye and Thank you to the sisters, before heading out with your boys.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

When you all arrived home and made your way to the bedroom, Lafayette stopped you.

“What is it Gil?”

“Mon ange, before we take our nap, I just want you to know that if you ever feel that way again, you can tell us.”

“Yeah, baby girl, we hated seeing you so upset.”

“Darling, we love you and you come before our work, always.”

“Love, if we ever fail to give you what you need, please, let us know.”

You look at each of them and nod.

“I promise, I will from now on. I’m sorry for not saying anything.”

Alex shakes his head at you.

“You don’t need to apologize my love.”
They all ask for a ‘good nap kiss’ and you giggle and give them each a sweet kiss, before you all settle into bed. You’re cuddled between Herc and Laf, as your eyes drift closed.

And an hour later the boys switch, Alex claiming he sleeps better next to you, while Laf and Herc roll their eyes, but comply to his request.

And this time as you drifted off to sleep, you couldn’t help the warmth that spread in your heart, finally feeling complete.

The next week’s that passed by were filled with long lingering kisses, nearly constant cuddles, and ‘I love you’s. Your boys making sure that you felt completely loved and taken care of. And although this all made you feel immense joy, your favorite part was that you got your blissful Sundays back.

I have too many other fics Im working on right now to really write this but:
. Real talk, Kara must feel so alone and isolated right now.
. With all this shit between finding out James is Gaurdian, Winn keeping secrets, and Mon-El’s manipulative behavior she must feel kind of betrayed
. Shes THRILLED for Alex but also really missing the more frequent one on one sister nights
. And theres only so much ice cream you can eat by yourself
. So she reaches out to Lena
. Lena’s basically felt this way her ENTIRE life so shes really good at making Kara feel better
. Then they get “closer”
. Suddenly its Valentines day and Lena does this huge gesture to show Kara how much she cares about her
. But only “in a friend way” because she will actually die if Kara rejects her
. Kara sees right through her
. Shes scared at first, but without realizing it, she fell in love with Lena Luthor, her beautiful best friend
. After a ridiculous amount of potstickers and contemplation Kara decides she just has to lay it all on the line
. So she shows up on Lena’s balcony (in the rain for effect)
. Rambling on about how she feels terrible she didnt get Lena anything for Valentines day until Lena interrupts “so whats my present?!”
. And Kara just sticks a big ass bow on her head with this stupid goofy grin on her face
. “Me, silly”
. Then they kiss on the balcony in the pouring rain and fly off into the sunset to live happily ever after.

#6 for NurseyDex <3

6. “H-how long have you been standing there?”

When Will’s sister picks up on the 2nd ring, he doesn’t even bother to say hi.

“Fuck this.  Fuck the Haus, fuck dibs, fuck Ransom and Holster, fuck quarters, fuck hockey.  Fuck.  Everything,” Will fumes.

Alex is quiet for a moment.  “I’m sure you don’t mean that.”

“Yes I do,” Will retorts.  “Because of some grade-A crazy bullshit, I’m now sharing a room at the Haus with him.”

“I thought he was getting Lardo’s room and you were–”

“Getting the attic?  Yeah, that’s what we all thought, except my idiot captains gave the attic to Ollie and Wicks.”

“Okay, I mean that’s odd, but not–what did you say?  Grade-A crazy bullshit?” Alex replies.

“I haven’t even gotten to that yet,” Will says.  “So Lardo can’t decide because like, Nursey basically wrote her thesis or whatever.  I mean, who cares that all the shit I’ve done to keep the Haus standing was more important to the team, right?  So Bitty comes up and is like, ‘oh, let’s do a dibs flip.’  Like a coin flip.  So–”

“Okay, wait, so if there was a coin flip for it, how are you sharing?” Alex asks, clearly confused.

“Yeah, this was the bullshit.  It rolled and got stuck in between two floorboards!  Exactly on its side!” Will nearly shouts, feeling that same mixture of anger and despair he felt as he watched the whole thing unfold in front of his eyes.

“So it was a tie.  And now you have to share,” Alex says plainly.

“Yes.  Oh fuck me,” Will curses.  “How am I going to survive Alex?  How?  Sometimes I can barely stand to be around him, how am I supposed to share a room with him?”

“You could always just–not,” Alex says, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world and Will is an idiot for not thinking of it himself.

“Ha! Right, like I’m going to give him the satisfaction.  He said I would move out by September at the latest.  And maybe I can’t stand being around him, but my pettiness is–uh–”

Will falters as he spins around in his desk chair.  When he got back to his dorm room, he had propped the door open (he’s trying to be friendly and prove to his floor that he’s not a total weirdo).  And now, standing in that open doorway, is Nursey.

“Fuck my life,” Will mutters.

“Billy?” Alex responds questioningly.

“I have to go Alex, I’ll call you back later,” Will says, pulling the phone away from his ear and ending the call.  He takes a deep breath as he puts his phone face down on his desk.  “H-how long have you been standing there?”

“Long enough, Poindexter,” Nursey shrugs.  “I just came by to bring you this book.  You left it at the Haus.”

“It’s what not what it sounds like, Nursey,” Will says, springing to his feet.

“It’s chill dude,” Nursey answers, his expression appearing unfazed.  But after two years as his partner on the ice (and often off it), Will can somewhat read him.

He can see his disappointment in the slight drop of his head, the way his eyebrows have gone up just a bit, and of course his eyes.  Will has learned that Nursey’s eyes always give something away, whether he’s able to understand what they’re saying or not.

“That’s bullshit,” Will counters.  “And I know that you know that I know that.”

“So what if it is?  What gives you the right to know?” Nursey retorts angrily.  “You clearly don’t give a fuck about me, so why should I tell you?”

“That’s not true and you know it!”

“Do I?  Do I know that?  Because not even two minutes ago, I stood in your doorway and listened to you tell your sister that you can barely stand to be around me.  That sounds like someone who doesn’t care to me,” Nursey replies sharply and they’ve argued before, but something in Nursey’s voice is different this time.

Because Nursey is used to people not caring about him.  He’s gone through his whole life surrounded by people like that.  And he thought Will did care about him because, despite all their difficulties, they’re pretty close friends (even if they still annoy the hell out of each other from time to time)–and he does–but it doesn’t look that way right now.

Will gets that.  But what Will doesn’t understand is why this seems so devastating to him.  It’s not like no one cares about him–there’s Lardo, Bitty, Chowder, and a whole slew of others.  What’s different about him?

“It’s–listen, you heard one statement out of context–”

“You said it twice.”

“How many times I said it isn’t important–”

“Not to you maybe.”

“Fuck, Nursey, would you just listen to me for one minute!” Will shouts, and Nursey clamps his mouth shut, but continues to glares at him.  “I’ve been talking about you to Alex since day one.  Day one!  She knows a fuckton of things that you don’t!  So when I tell her that I can barely stand to be around you sometimes, she knows that it’s not because I hate you!  It never is and it never was.”

Nursey snorts derisively.  “’She knows things you don’t.’  Super convincing argument, Poindexter.  I’m supposed to just–take your word for it?  Oh, of course, because you said you don’t hate me, and just because you said it, it must be true.  Yeah, fuck you.”

“If I didn’t love you so much, I’d punch you in your fucking face right now,” Will quips.

Nursey’s brow furrows.  “What did you say?”

“That I want to punch you?”

“No, the other part.”

“If I didn’t lo–oh for fuck’s sake,” Will groans, throwing his head back, praying for death to take him quickly.  It’s become such a natural part of his emotions when he’s around Nursey that it’s no wonder it finally slipped out on accident.

“I’m going to guess that that’s what your sister knows that I don’t, right?” Nursey questions, and Will expected him to sound shocked or angry not–fucking bemused.

“Yep, and if you’re going to laugh at me, you better leave right fucking now, because not even that will stop me from punching you,” Will says, sitting on the edge of his bed with his head in his hands.

“I’m not going to laugh,” Nursey says.  “I wouldn’t do that to you.”

Will doesn’t know what to say to that, so he doesn’t say anything.

“I think–I think I understand what you were saying now,” Nursey says, and Will feels the bed dip gently as Nursey perches next to him.  “It would be hard to see me every day–be in close quarters when you feel the way you do.  You were scared that you would say something like you just did.”

Will nods.  “Doesn’t matter though, ‘cause I said it just now.”

“Now.  Later.  Either way, I wouldn’t have minded,” Nursey says quietly.  “I’m glad it’s out there now.”

There’s a strange, swooping feeling in Will’s stomach as he lowers his hands away from his face.  “Nursey–” is all he gets out before Nursey is pressing their lips together.

It takes Will a second, but he kisses back.

“You know I was excited to be sharing a room with you because I was hoping you would eventually figure out how I felt, right?” Nursey asks.

“Oh.”

“Have I mentioned that you continue to surprise me?”

“No,” Will answers, his brain still struggling to string words together that aren’t he kissed me he kissed me he kissed me.

“Well you are,” Nursey says.  “I would’ve never guessed that you would feel that way–or that you would be the one to say it first.”

“S-same t-though,” Will stutters, the stutter in his voice matching the stuttering of his heart.

“So–do you think you can stand to share a room with me now?” Nursey asks, and if Will didn’t want to kiss him again, he would shove him off the bed.

31 supercat sounds hilarious (or angsty?)

Kara was drunk again. She was slumped down in her seat, and her head lolled on her shoulders, bobbing from one side to the next and then down between. Her chin bounced against her chest, and she sucked in a gasp, jerking her head back up and blinking her eyes.

“I’m fine,” she said, the words slurring on her tongue. “Completely fine.”

“Completely drunk is more like it.” Alex sighed and slid out of her side of the booth and into Kara’s. She wrapped an arm around her shoulders and leaned her cheek against the side of Kara’s head. It was the fourth night in a row that Kara had ended her night at the alien bar, completely trashed, and every night, Alex had come along to keep an eye on her and to clean up the mess. Wipe away Kara’s tears. Listen to her frustrations. Pry her lips off of random aliens who saw nothing wrong with taking advantage of an intoxicated Kryptonian. Indulge her ridiculous desires to play guessing games like I-Spy or shuffle off to the nearby auto graveyard and bench press compact cars for fun. Whatever Kara needed. But it was starting to get a little out of hand, and Alex was beginning to worry that Kara wasn’t going to break out of her funk any time soon. “We should get you home.”

“No,” Kara whined, and Alex rolled her eyes.

“Remember when you were a happy drunk?”

“R’member when I was happy?” Kara hiccuped through the words. A sob became trapped in her chest, and her eyes began to water. “And ’blivious.”

“Oblivious,” Alex said, impressed. “Well, at least this alien alcohol doesn’t affect your vocabulary, just your speech.” She smiled as she teased her. “That and your tear ducts. Overstimulation seems to be a real problem lately. Maybe I should do a work-up.”

Kara snorted out a laugh that quickly turned into sob. This one managed to free itself, and Alex let out another low sigh.

“Oh, Kara,” she said, rubbing her hand up and down Kara’s arm. “Everything’s going to be all right.”

“No, it’s not.” Kara shook her head, a few strands of her hair smacking across Alex’s face and chest. Alex patted them down and then smoothed them behind Kara’s ear, and waited for her to continue. “I can’t sleep. Can’t eat think.”

“Eat think?” Alex poked Kara’s side. “Is that a thing now?”

“You know what I mean.”

The One-Night Perfect Relationship | Alex Standall X Reader

English isn’t my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.

Characters: Alex/fem!reader. Clay and Hannah are mentioned.

Warnings: fluffy. Also happy!Alex. And may or may not have some High School Musical songs in the story, but, oh well…

(E/C) stand for “Eye color”/(B/F/N) stand for “Best friend’s name”.

Word Count: 2550 words.

One part of her didn’t want to be there, but the other one, which she decided to listen to, felt that the night could get better somehow. (Y/N) was on the bleachers, considerably alone since she didn’t know anyone who was sitting there, watching people dance with their dates and friends at the dance. They were jumping around, but they seemed to be having fun while doing it, which made her feel like dancing too, but everyone there had a group of friends and she didn’t want to be the weirdo jumping alone.

(Y/N) wanted to dance and her body was starting to send signals that she needed to move. So she began to sway slightly from side to side, trying not to draw attention of anyone on the bleachers. When a familiar song began to play, (Y/N) forgot for a second to try to be discreet and shook her head as she moved her arms up, letting a small smile escape her lips until she realized what she was doing, her eyes widening and bringing her arms back down. Damn the upbeat songs. It was only for a few seconds, but she had already managed to get someone’s attention.

The girl lowered her head, looking down at her own feet. And then she felt that sense of when someone is staring at you. The girl’s (E/C) eyes looked up shyly and started looking for someone who was looking at her, stopping at a boy with bleached blonde hair who was sitting a little distant of her. He had a small grin on his face, he wanted to laugh. This made (Y/N) feel her cheeks heating up as she looked down again, even more embarrassed.

“Nice moves.” she heard a male voice, which obviously came from the boy, talking to her. “Hi.”

“Hi.” she gave a small wave, looking sheepishly at him.

(Y/N) had seen him around school, but she couldn’t remember if she’d ever heard his name.

“Why are you alone here?” he spoke again after a few seconds in silence.

(Y/N) grimaced. “I didn’t even know I was coming here today.” the boy raised an eyebrow at her. “I didn’t plan to come, but my friend bought two tickets and dragged me here.”

He nodded, staring at the rest of the people in the bleachers. "Why isn’t she here with you, then?”

“She brought me because she thought her date wasn’t coming.”

“But he came.” he completed his reasoning on his own. “So she dumped you alone here.”

“Sitting here isn’t so bad.” he gave her a disbelieving glance, but she just laughed. “Why are you here?”

His eyes turned to the dance floor and he pointed to someone she couldn’t define who it was. “I was hoping to dance with her.”

“Sorry about that.”

“Nah, I deserve it.”

Neither of them said anything for a few more seconds, watching people still dancing in their strange way.

“What’s your name?” (Y/N) broke the silence, turning to him.

“Alex.” he gave her a small smile, turning his head toward her. “And you are?”

“(Y/N).” she smiled back at him.

Alex looked at her for a few more seconds before pointing to the empty seat beside her. “Can I…?” he asked for her permission to approach.

“Sure.” (Y/N) smile widened as the boy crawled over to her side.

The dance was supposed to be, well, for dancing, but soon (Y/N)’s urge to dance was decreasing while talking to Alex. On the dance floor they hardly would be able to talkbut there where they were, they could enjoy each other’s company more. They spent more than half of the Winter Formal getting to know each other better, starting a competition of who had the most shameful story to tell and, overall, talked about everything.

"So, I was already in my pajamas and getting ready to watch my shows when I heard a horn outside.” (Y/N) started telling the story of that night, seeming to amuse Alex with it. “And I went to see who it was and (B/F/N) was all ‘Get in loser, we’re going to the dance’.”

“The ‘Mean Girls’ of real life.” he said with a laugh.

"Yeah, I totally am Lindsay Lohan.”

Alex looked at the girl from head to toe before smiling. "You’re not upset about being left by your friend?”

“Not at all.” she shrugged. “I wasn’t joking when I said it wasn’t so bad to be here. I think it’s kind of cool to be able to see this big socialization of confused teenagers from afar.” (Y/N) pointed at them dramatically, then turning to point at the boy next to her. "And a little socialization right here.”

Alex still had a smile on his face as he took the girl’s finger pointing to his face.

"I’ve never noticed you until today, you know.” he said, then frowned. “Did that sound rude?”

“A little bit, yeah.” (Y/N) chuckled as he apologized. “Well, I had noticed you before.”

That seemed to get his attention, his eyebrows arching with curiosity. “Oh, really?”

"I took an interest in you because of your hair.”

“Oh, this.” Alex grimaced as he pointed at his hair.

“It’s like it’s from another world. I always wondered what it would be like to touch it.”

“Be careful there, it’ll take you to another dimension.” he grinned, nudging her.

(Y/N) smiled, looking once more at the dance floor, something catching her eyes. She frowned at the scene she was seeing before she began to laugh. Alex smiled slightly, caught by the girl’s laughter.

"What are you laughing at?”

“They got style.” she answered, motioning two people jumping in a very strange –yet funny- way. (Y/N) managed to recognize the boy as Clay Jensen, but she wasn’t sure of the girl’s name, even though she had already seen and heard about her.

“Your moves are better, though.” (Y/N) laughed at his words, remembering the ridiculous dance that had performed.

“Shut up.” she smiled slightly, listening to a slow song start playing and people start to pair up. “Wanna go out?”

“Hm?” he looked confused.

“The dance is about to end. Want to walk out there a little?”

“Yeah, sure.” Alex stood up and reached out to help her up. What a gentleman.

He was walking ahead and as soon as the girl stood up the urge to dance came back. Then she tried to sway a little as she stepped out of the bleachers. Wrong move. She stumbled and almost fell, catching the attention of a few people who looked at her, laughing.

"What the hell are you looking at?” Alex asked them as he came back to help the girl out.

(Y/N)’s ankles ached slightly making the girl whimper down as she walked. She saw her friend looking at them both with a smirk, causing the girl to roll her eyes and lower her head.

“What the hell was that?” Alex asked as they walked toward the exit from the school.

“I was trying to perform, if you didn’t notice.” she stopped to massage her leg for a second before continuing to walk. “As if it were High School Musical or something.”

Alex’s head turned to her with the mention of the movie, a smile on his face. "So it looks like I got a Disney fan here.”

“Totally, man.” she said before she felt the cold night air hit her face as they reached the outside.

They continued to walk in silence until they were completely off the school grounds and started walking on the sidewalk, where some people passed as well. Alex started to walk slightly faster than (Y/N), staying a little ahead of her before turning to her, making her stop walking too.

“Alex…?” she frowned when she saw him taking a deep breath.

Livin’ in my own world, didn’t understand.” he began to sing. Oh no, he wasn’t doing that. (Y/N)’s mouth opened slightly, not knowing exactly what to do. “That anything can happen, when you take a chance.

(Y/N) was still, not knowing what to do, when Alex looked at her expectantly, making a smile spread on her face, before she cleared her throat. “I never believed in.” the boy smirked at her. “What I couldn’t see, I never opened my heart.”

“Ooh.” he made sure to say it in a very dramatic way, which made (Y/N) laugh.

“To all the possibilities.” she continued to laugh as he approached her. “Uh.”

Alex started to swing toward her as they sang. “I know that something has changed.” (Y/N) mimicked his movements and began to swing too. “Never felt this way.” she was sure that people were looking at them at that moment. “And right here tonight, this could be the start of something new.” after all, it wasn’t so usual to see two teenagers singing loudly in the middle of the street. “It feels so right to be here with you.” they both grinned at each other. “And now looking in your eyes, I feel in my heart the start of something new.”

The boy, with an amused smile, raised one of his hands, motioning for her to hold it. “Now who’d ever thought that.”

(Y/N) copied his smile, raising her hand and intertwining in his as they sang. “We’d both be here tonight.”

“And the world looks so much brighter.” she continued as he lowered their hands and pulled her down the sidewalk. “With you by my side.”

Alex seemed to have found something he was looking for on the sidewalk, letting go of (Y/N)’s hand, and walking quickly to a bench, getting up on it as they continued. "I know…” he turned to her, holding out his hands to help the girl up. “That something has changed.” (Y/N) laughed through her words, shaking her head as she walked quickly to where he was. “Never felt this way.” she accepted his help. “I know it for real, this could be the start of something new.” Alex took careful steps, imitating with his hands the moves she had made earlier that night, making her laugh while doing the same thing, shaking her head from side to side. “It feels so right to be here with you.” (Y/N) felt like jumping, just like people were doing at the Winter Formal, but she knew she would either break the bench or fall from there. “And now looking in your eyes.” Alex slowed his dance moves, looking for the girl’s eyes; (Y/N) did the same. “I feel in my heart …” they smiled at each other. “The start of something new.”

They kept staring at each other for a few more seconds, neither of them daring to break the eye contact, until a car stopped in front of them, honking. (B/F/N). (Y/N) got startled, almost felling off the bench because of it, causing Alex to hold her, holding the girl by her waist.

“Thanks.” she murmured a little sheepishly.

“Hey girl, you want a ride?” (B/F/N) asked.

(Y/N) was about to accept when Alex’s voice caught her attention. “If you want, I can take you home.” a small hopeful glow gleamed in his eyes, and only then she realized that his arm hadn’t left her waist. Not that she was going to complain about it.

“Alex will take me.” she turned again to (B/F/N), who smirked, nodding.

“She better get home alive, Standall.”

“As you wish, ma'am.” the girl laughed at his answer before winking at them and driving away. “She seems to be cooler than Regina George.”

(Y/N) laughed. “Sometimes she is.”

“Come on.” he released his arm from her waist and getting down from the bench, then helping the girl do the same.

Thank God that High School Musical performance hadn’t taken them so far from the school parking lot. (Y/N) had always complained that school was really far from her home, so she had to wake up early if she wanted to be in time for class. But at that moment she couldn’t be more grateful for that, it meant she would have more time to talk to Alex.

In the end, she could see that the part of her that thought that night could have got better had guessed right. She’d met Alex and that had made that night exceptional. They had hit it off, and that night seemed somehow magical. So that could only mean: either that was really the beginning of something new or that had been an one-night perfect relationship. (Y/N) sincerely bet on the second, although she wanted the first one to be right.

An one-night perfect relationship is the one you have, well, for one night. When you aren’t suffocated with your daily problems and the pressures of your friends. You are a diferente person on this one night, more relaxed and even happier. Who would know how things would be between them if they talk to each other every day, or what would it be like in front of their friends? Well, there’s no way of knowing if it’s just a one-night thing or something else until you try it, what really counts is making the night worthwhile.

These thoughts passed over (Y/N) mind as they got out of the car, since Alex had offered to walk with her to the door.

“Well, I’m sure I won’t not notice you from now on.” he said when they reached her door.

"Well, it’s not just your hair that makes me interested in you anymore.” she said, a small smirk on her lips.

He chuckled. “I’m glad.”

They looked at each other for a few more seconds, both thinking practically the same thing. Alex wanted to kiss her as much as she wanted to kiss him. But would not that be wrong? Would not it be too soon? But then again, what if the next day they didn’t feel the same thing they felt at that moment? Don’t think too much, make the night worthwhile. It’s now or never.

Alex quickly leaned toward her, pressing their lips together, placing one of his hands on her waist and the other on the girl’s cheek. (Y/N) wasted no time and soon began kissing him back, moving her lips against his, placing her hands on his neck, but only so she could touch his hair. Alex noticed that and gave a small smile into the kiss, which soon turned into a laugh, making him pull away from her and rest his forehead on hers as he laughed.

“Sorry.” he said still laughing, which made the girl laugh together.

"I really thought for a moment that this was going to take me to another dimension.” it only made him laugh more, being accompanied by her.

The laughter took a while to decrease, until there were only smiles on their faces. “Bye, Gabriella.”

“See you around, Troy.”

Alex gave her a long peck before letting go of her and starting to walk away, a smile still on his face. (Y/N) watched him for a few seconds before opening the door, listening to him honking at her, waving goodbye from inside the car before leaving. The girl closed the door, resting her back on it. Whether it was the beginning of something new or just a one-night thing, it was worth it.

Dean was restless at work the next afternoon. Sleep hadn’t come easy the night before, and you were constantly on his mind as he was trying to think of how he could make things up to you.

He was barely two hours into his shift when his boss, Dr. Crowley, pulled him into an empty exam room.

“What’s going on?” Dean asked, confused by the sudden action.

“I’ve called in Dr. Matthews and she’s on her way in to cover your shift,” he explained, giving Dean a stern look.

Dr. Fergus Crowley was a man that just oozed respect. It was something about the way he carried himself, or maybe it was the British accent… whatever it was, people just instantly respected him. He was also a fair boss who treated all his employees with the same respect they gave him.

“What?” Dean stupidly questioned.

“I can tell you’re not on your A game today, Winchester, and I need my doctors to be on their A game,” he said. “I don’t know what’s going on, but I want you to take tonight off and then come back well rested for your morning shift tomorrow, can you do that?”

“Yes, sir,” Dean said, still a little confused about what just happened.

As soon as the conversation ended, Dean made his way to the nurses station to give them some updates and some notes to pass on to the doctor who was coming to cover for him. The nurses were all gathered around the computer to look at picture of one of their grandkids when the phone rang. All of them looked up at Dean and he instantly reached for the phone and answered, introducing himself as he picked up.

“Hey, this is Bobby Singer calling, do you have a patient by the name of (YN) (YLN) there?”

Dean recognized the man as your boss, and as soon as he heard your name chills went down his spine as dread filled his entire body. “No, she’s not here. What’s going on? I’m a friend of hers.”

The line went quiet for a bit before Bobby spoke again. “How good of a friend are you?”

“Good enough that I know what’s going on at home,” Dean answered boldly.

“Okay,” Bobby dragged. “She didn’t come into work today, which never happens, she always let’s me know, and I can’t reach her on her phone.” He sounded worried.

“Have you called her house?”
