Thinking about the next chapter and everything, I think the worst part of it is that Mutsuki went to :re for Touka. He has the picture, he knows where that person is, and he suspects that Kaneki might be there BECAUSE of Touka. Mutsuki doesn’t know that :re is more than just Touka’s coffee shop, Kaneki has other friends there, friends he knows since he became a ghoul. But Mutsuki might think he’s there because he has a crush on her. The fact that he arrived and Kaneki was there, just as he suspected… :re, the place where Touka lives… it’s gonna be a mess. Once Mutsuki sees Touka, he will feel tremendously jealous. I’m not sure if Kaneki was the one closing the shop, but I feel like Touka will come back like “hey, Kaneki, are you done? can we leave now?” and Mutsuki suddenly sees her appearing and calling him like that and hoooly fuck, I don’t trust Mutsuki’s reaction at all.
if you dont have too many prompts already: hanzo blurting out a confession of love, & being terrified it won't be reciprocated, but jesse won't let him run away
were you in that stream where we wrote a short fic about this in the chat
Hanzo’s heart pounds so quickly and painfully in his chest he swears McCree can hear it, and his blood rushes through his ears, all but blocking out every other sound but McCree’s voice. He wishes the ground would swallow him up, or simply give way and send him tumbling into the sea below just so he could escape the truly horrible, idiotic, desperate thing he just said.
But McCree’s hands dig into his shoulders, preventing escape, and the ground does not so much as crack underfoot, and all he can see is McCree’s wild eyes and clenched teeth.
“Say it again,” McCree says, and it’s not a request, or a plea, or a demand, but some combination of the three that’s impossible for Hanzo to read, “and say it straight.”
Hanzo swallows hard and breathes deeply to speak, but he only gets as far as “I am in–” before McCree’s mouth crashes into his and words become completely, blissfully unnecessary at all.
When I was 21, I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my best friend. It tore me apart and I honestly didn’t think I would be able to go on. I spent days unable to eat or drink anything, and slowly came to a point where things looked very grim. My (actual) best friend drove 6 hours to come and see me and took me away from where I had been and drove me back down to where I grew up. It was late by this time, and I had barely spoken at all the entire drive (6 more hours). She pulled off the road and took my hand. It was dark, so I couldn’t see much at all. I had my eyes focused on the ground until she told me to look up.
She had taken me to this small jetty on the beach. All around me all I could see were stars. The ocean reflected the night sky and I couldn’t see where it ended and the ocean began. I felt like I was floating in a sea of stars, and suddenly, I felt like things were going to get better. She took my hand and we just sat there in silence for a while. I don’t know why, and I can’t explain it, but I truly think she saved my life.
It was the look on his face that
pierced her heart. Like the very depths of his soul had been torn to pieces,
sliced open and bare for all to see. Corrin approached him slowly, studying the
pain in his eyes, as he stared across the courtyard. He didn’t say anything,
not a greeting, not giving any indication that he had seen her at all.
“Leo?” Corrin sounded out his
name gently and caught the infinitesimal flinch he made. “What’s wrong?” Something
flashed over his eyes. A glaze coloured the warm hazel of his eyes turning it
cold, so very, very cold.
He huffed, the pain vanishing
from his features, replaced with a frown. “Not now, Corrin.” His voice was
gruff, words curt and short. It had Corrin pausing, her heart sinking in her
“What’s the matter?” she tried
again, stepping closer. He turned his gaze from her, his fringe shifting and
blocking his eyes from her. “I know something’s bothering you. Why won’t you
tell me? I might be able to help.”
She was so earnest, so honestly
wishing to help, that he almost told her. But he swallowed that feeling, the
desire for something more, and clenched his hands into fists at his sides.
