all republicans are racists

LOL. I’ve seen a lot of neoliberals practically ready to draft Joe Scarborough into the Democratic Party just because he f-i-n-a-l-l-y called out Trump and *claims* he’s no longer a Republican, but let’s keep it 💯.

Don’t forget that during the GOP primaries Scarborough gifted Trump with dozens of segments and free airtime and allowed him to phone in “interviews” not to mention all the racist Republican policies that Scarborough *enthusiastically* supported as a card carrying Republican. But now after all the racism, Islamophobia and misogyny, now all of a sudden he thinks Trump has crossed the line? GTFOHWTBS.

Joe Scarborough is several decades late and millions of dollars short. The alt-centrist ConservaDem™ crowd over at MSNBC might be fawning all over him, but Joe can kiss my black ass.

anonymous asked:

Can you tell me anything about the supposed switch of platforms between the dems and republicans in the 60s?

Yes! Both I and others have written on it before.

This is from a previous post. The switch is a myth and democrats are still operating on the same old racist roots.

Woodrow Wilson, democrat president, supported the KKK and helped revive it by popularizing KKK revisionist film Birth of a Nation.

Blacks began voting blue in 1936 in the proposal of the New Deal, not because they aligned with democrat party values but for political expediency.

“I’ll have them niggers voting democrat for the next 200 years.” - Lyndon B. Johnson, democrat president.

Democrats continuously filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and it was passed in spite of democrats, not by democrats.

Democrats voted 61% and Republicans 24% against the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which passed 333-85. The Senate passed with the support of 94 percent of the Republican caucus and 73 percent of the Democratic caucus.

From the National Review:

The Democrats have been sedulously rewriting history for decades. Their preferred version pretends that all the Democratic racists and segregationists left their party and became Republicans starting in the 1960s. How convenient. If it were true that the South began to turn Republican due to Lyndon Johnson’s passage of the Civil Rights Act, you would expect that the Deep South, the states most associated with racism, would have been the first to move. That’s not what happened. The first southern states to trend Republican were on the periphery: North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. (George Wallace lost these voters in his 1968 bid.) The voters who first migrated to the Republican party were suburban, prosperous New South types. The more Republican the South has become, the less racist.

From Liberty Voice:

All but the redoubtable Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, the Southern Democrat who managed to stay Democrat for well over 40 years; despite all the mythical ship-jumping which is supposed to have occurred. All of the modern liberal Democrats who adored him, like Bill Clinton, Barrack Obama and Al Gore, must not have been told Byrd was a Grand Klegal in the KKK before he ran for the Senate as a Democrat. Byrd was a celebrated member of the Democrat party up til his death, in 2010. So it is not as if the discussion of his affiliations is somehow ancient history.

Why do you believe that all Republicans are inherently racist, misogynistic, evil, and hate everyone who isn't rich?

because that is how they portray themselves? i have yet to see or meet a republican that is not those things that you have listed lol

@tarmac-like-arteries and I love to cause each other massive amounts of pain with Check Please headcanons because we LIVE to S U F F E R and this is one of my better ideas.

So by the time 2016 rolls around, Bitty and Jack are out to the public. After the heat dies down a little, someone (maybe the PR team, maybe Bitty, maybe Tater, maybe all three) convinces Jack he needs a social media presence. So he gets a twitter. He mostly just retweets the @FalcsOfficial account and posts artsy photos and he is the softest of bros.

After Trump makes his locker room comment, Shitty absolutely loses his fucking cool. He goes on this huge twitter rant about rape culture and toxic masculinity and how those with privilege have a responsibility to cultivate a safe space for marginalized identities. He gets into sports culture and “locker room talk.” He calls out Trump’s racist garbage and all the Republicans just NOW pulling their support. Jack retweets a string of those tweets and in doing so incites a fucking SHIT STORM. At some point someone @s him:

Snorticia Adams @boxofrocks4u

@JLZimmermann Who would even WANT to share a locker room with that sentient yam?

Jack Zimmermann @JLZimmermann

@boxofrocks4u I’d rather change on the ice.

Eric Bittle @omgcheckplease

@JLZimmermann @boxofrocks4u  Okay  👀

There are like ten Buzzfeed articles about this by the end of the day and Tumblr loses its goddamn mind. Jack just keeps getting all of these angry tweets about how he should stay out of politics and stick to hockey. Of course eventually some slurs and general derogatory shit gets thrown around and Jack eventually responds:

Jack Zimmermann
@JLZimmermann

A lot of people are tweeting me to let me know they’re shocked by my political leanings.

Jack Zimmermann @JLZimmermann

I don’t know what they expected. I’m a bisexual Canadian.

Jack Zimmermann @JLZimmermann

Also fuck Trump.

Shitty Knight @Mr.Shitty

@JLZimmermann I’M SO PROUD OF YOU. WE’RE GETTING MARRIED, YOU FUCKING ADONIS.

Eric Bittle @omgcheckplease

@JLZimmermann  Is twelve pies too many pies? Too late. I’ve made my boyfriend twelve pies.

Providence Falconers @FalcsOfficial

@omgcheckplease @JLZimmermann This is why the dietitians are always yelling at you, Zimmboni.

I don’t believe all republicans are inherently racist but i do believe all kkk members are definitely republican.

If there was an episode of Scooby Doo where the gang infiltrated the clan, when they pulled off the masks it would all be senators that voted against green energy.

Animals that make me extremely uncomfortable
  • Members of the genus Pipa (the back-brooding toads) and other pipids
  • Botflies and other dermal parasites
  • Rat kings (when the tails of many rats get inextricably tied together)

me when i’m around southern people: hunting culture is weird you’re all racist republicans why do you hate gays please get me out of here

me around yanks: how are all yall?? dadgummit i sure do love me some banjo music

Everyone stop acting like Donald Trump is worse than the other Republicans. He’s not.

They’re all racist, they’re all sexist, and they all only care about rich people. A few of them (Paul, Kasich…) are slightly better on some issues than the clown car as a whole, but Trump is not the worst one, and I would argue he, Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, and Jeb Bush are all on roughly the same level. Trump is more upfront talking about his prejudices, but Bush, Walker, and Cruz actually have the legislative records to back theirs up. If you really think Trump saying he thinks Mexicans are rapists is worse than the other Republicans actually making policies that lead to Mexican-Americans being falsely imprisoned, you need to understand what’s actually happening in our political system.

The RNC wants you to believe Donald Trump is different from the other candidates because it makes the rest of them look electable in comparison. Don’t fall for it.

Honestly stop saying that people are supporting Donald Trump “as a joke” its very clear that his supporters are just as racist and gross as he is. That is not a joke. People just don’t want to believe that so many americans could still be so fucking ignorant and intolerant when it’s 2015
