“How many minds have you twisted into forgetfulness? You’ve used me and abused me, but you will not destroy me! You corrupted my memories, but you failed to make me forget. Such evil will be punished!”
Derek Jeter becomes the first Yankee to homer in an All-Star Game in 42 years when he goes deep leading off the sixth inning off Jon Lieber at Safeco Field. Yogi Berra was the last Yankee to accomplish the feat, homering off Don Drysdale in 1959.
Dragon’s Lair Movie Brings Don Bluth And Gary Goldman Back Into Action
If you haven’t heard about it yet, famed director/producer team Don Bluth and Gary Goldman are back with a Kickstarter to fund a pitch to make Dragon’s Lair: The Movie. With such classics as An American Tail, The Land Before Time, Anastasia, All Dogs Go To Heaven and Dragon’s Lair under their belts, Bluth and Goldman have made an enormous impact on the animation world. Fans have been hoping for a Dragon’s Lair film for decades, and more fans have been wishing Don Bluth would come back. Still more fans have been hoping for a resurgence of 2D animation.
This Kickstarter for Dragon’s Lair: The Movie proposes to do all three. There is still quite a bit of time to help fund the project and meet Goldman and Bluth’s goal of $550,000. If they reach this goal they will begin seriously pitching the story to Hollywood studios, creating promotional art and getting the name out there. This is very similar to other projects that have been funded through Kickstarter, such as Aaron Blaise’s Art Story. In much the same way, when Art Story was funded through Kickstarter, Blaise began pitching it to studios. This of course does not ensure that the film will be made.
At the time of this writing, Dragon’s Lair: The Movie has a lot of momentum. With more than 20 days to go, the project has raised more than a fifth of its goal. This is a very attainable goal if people get the word out and show the world that they care about Dragon’s Lair and 2D animation. If nothing else it’s exciting to see so many animated projects blow up on the internet just because of fan interest. This is a good time for the industry.
I am also doing a nomination thing.
* Nominate a writing account and what they write for. (E.g. Multi fandom or a single one)
* Writers feel free to shout your self out to your readers and ask them to nominate you; for the list.
There’s no 1st, 2nd or 3rd but I will write how many nominations each account got.
Dean and Cas might rather forget the traumatic events that brought them into the public eye, but with the help of their friends and family they’ve turned a terrifying experience into a resource of hope and help to others. In the process, they’ve attracted a little bit of attention from an ambitious TV producer who, after discovering Dean’s fear of flying and the fact that Dean and Cas are planning their upcoming wedding, thinks the best present for Dean, Cas, and all of their friends is to send them on a truly incredible honeymoon. Oh, and a lot of airplanes.
By some miracle, Dean Winchester has been selected for the latest season of Project Runway. Now, he just has to prove that being a mechanic/self-taught designer from Kansas doesn’t mean he has no talent or taste. Oh, and he has to tolerate the presence of the stuck-up Castiel Novak. Not to mention the loads of drama he must deal with. Can he survive the show, and, against all odds, win?
“Hi, and welcome to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: celebrity edition. Where instead of the Fab Five, who are all experts in their fields, you have me, Dean Winchester, a bisexual hockey player who is slightly above average at these things.” “Today’s victim is Castiel Novak: world renowned entymologist specializing in honey bees. His latest research publication is receiving all kinds of awards so he’s going to have a little celebration tonight. That’s where I’m here to help.”
In which Supernatural is a reality show, Dean Winchester is a closeted reality star hounded by tabloids, and the author gets a little meta. Or: The one where Dean starts to suspect he’s a terrible boyfriend, and Cas disagrees.

Silly Mc76 headcanon where McCree and Morrison celebrate the 4th of July by buying a massive amount of fireworks and nearly killing themselves when they set them all off at once, much to Mercy’s dismay.
“You realize how much easier it would be to see the Yankees, right?” Peggy asked as they pushed through the turnstyles at the newly minted James Buchanan Barnes Memorial Stadium.
Steve lowered his sunglasses to look down at her, then pushed them up on his nose again and shook his head. “I love you, so I’m going to pretend you didn’t say that.”
“I realize that there is a certain…nostalgia in seeing the newly reacquired Trolley Divers–”
“You’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?” he asked, narrowing his eyes at her.
“I mean, if it were cricket–”
“No, absolutely not, you can’t even say that word today, not here, not unless you see an insect in a top hat named Jiminy, this is not cricket, this is a million times better, this is the all american game, Peggy, why would you even–”
She cut him off by pulling him down by his shirt to kiss him. He stared at her when she pulled away, still getting that hit and run feeling when she caught him off guard. A feeling that wasn’t helped by the presence of a baseball cap and pigtails.
“You’re adorable when you’re indignant, you know?” she asked, grinning up at him.
“You’re adorable when you…” He trailed off, and she raised her eyebrows in question. “Exist,” he finished lamely, and she laughed and took his hand, pulling him toward their seats.
“Come on you,” she said. “Let’s see if your trolley divers can score a touchdown.”
