I am currently in the process of making an Alice Madness Returns painting and I think it’s turning out pretty nice. I’ve been doing some colour theory research and I think its helped a lot at least in developing my shading choices.
There’s a full moon on Christmas, and the Marauders want to spend it with Remus… but after Remus uses every form of persuasion he can think of, begging his friends to enjoy Christmas with their families, they begrudgingly agree to head home for the holidays.
However, as Sirius gets ready for the Potter’s Christmas party, he can’t stop thinking about Remus.
Sirius has a bad habit of unconsciously stripping when it gets too hot at night… and apparently Remus does too. This may become a problem if they keep sharing each other’s beds after nightmares wake them up.
James is going to be a father! Sirius and Remus have stayed up to celebrate… but Remus has had one to many drinks, and Sirius is enjoying his drunken companion so much… that he might just let something slip.
“Okay and now mum’s,” Betty claps, smiling kindly as she hands the purple bag to her sister.
(Y/N) notices how Alice Cooper nervously watches her daughter open her gift. Her eyes move to the eldest Cooper daughter as she removes the gift from the paper.
“My nightlight-when I was a little kid. How did you-where did you even-”
“I saved it. I know how much you loved it and how it made you feel safe and I wanted you to be able to pass it down to your baby one day.”
(Y/N) smiles at the scene, happy for her friend that Polly and their mother seem to be making progress.
“Alice that’s lovely,” Hermione says.
Polly reaches a hand out to her mother just before Mrs Blossom decides to speak up, “Open ours next, dear.”
(Y/N)’s head turns to the door as Archie enters, ignoring everyone else in the room and heading her way. She casts a glance at Jughead-her boyfriend that stood by her side-who already had his eyes locked on their friend.
“You were protecting him,” Archie states as he comes to a stop in front of the couple, trying not to disrupt the room-but the anger and betrayal was clear in his tone. “That’s why you didn’t tell me.”
“Relax,” Jughead insists. “What happened?”
“Archie,” Betty says quietly, moving closer to the three of us, Veronica not far behind her. (Y/N) didn’t noticed they had moved towards them until the blond had spoken.
“Did you know Jughead’s father’s a Serpent?” he asks her.
(Y/N) felt her stomach drop, she looks at Jughead’s face to see if she can find anything written in it to uncover if Archie was telling the truth, but he avoids her gaze.
“No,” she answers, her eyes not leaving Jughead.
Her boyfriend’s eyes drop to the floor. “That’s why you tried to stop me from going to the bar, so I wouldn’t find out. After everything my dad has done for you-”
“Archie, I can explain, okay?” he tries.
“Not right now,” Veronica interrupts. “This is Polly’s day, so you two need to check yourselves. I mean it.”
“Archie,” Jughead says.
“No, save it,” he demands, shaking his head slightly before Veronica guides him to the door. Betty casts an unreadable look at Jughead and walks off to be back with her sister.
(Y/N) tunes out of the conversation that had continued in the middle of the room and awkwardly shuffles on her feet, keeping her eyes down as she feels Jughead’s on her.
“(Y/N),” he whispers, taking a step closer to her. He flinches as she takes a step back. “Just let me explain,” he begs.
She shakes her head, “Roni’s right, not now.”
Jughead reaches his arm out and rests a hand on her upper arm. “Promise me you’ll let me explain though?” he asks.
(Y/N) only nods, finding herself unable to give him an answer in words. She lets out a deep breath before leaning down to take hold of her bag that she had abandoned on the floor. “I’m going to go see Archie,” she says quietly, needing some air.
Jughead doesn’t attempt to stop her as she leaves, trying to attract as little attention as possible. She catches Betty’s eye and the blond girl gives her a reassuring smile that (Y/N) only nods at in response.
She found Archie outside of the building, about to start heading off. “Archie,” she calls.
The redhead turns her way. After a moment of hesitation, he takes a few steps towards her. “Did you know?” he asks.
(Y/N) could see what he was feeling-it was written all over his face. She knew how he felt and that made her feel worse, hating the thought of her friend being so hurt.
“I didn’t,” she admits, crossing her arms.
“How could he keep this from us?” Archie demands. “We have a right to know, especially after what’s happened!”
(Y/N) nods, “I agree. But…” she trails off. “This is Jughead we’re talking about.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
She gives Archie a small smile, “You know what he’s like, Arch. He’s always been like that-it’s who he is. His mind works differently to ours and he sees the world differently to us and we love him for that. Plus, you know that things are tough between him and his dad. I know you feel betrayed, you think he doesn’t trust you…but Jughead has his reasons for not telling us, I’m sure of it. We just need to be patient and let this take its course.”
Archie shook his head, “I’m his best friend,” he reasoned, “we’ve known each other for ages. He should have told me.”
(Y/N) could see where Archie was coming from, she really could. “I know, but you need to try and see this from his point of view-which he will eventually share, okay?”
“Aren’t you mad?” he asks, shoving his hands in the pockets of his jacket.
“Mad?” she repeats. “No. Confused, yes. Hurt, definitely. But not mad. I’m not angry at Jughead from keeping this to himself, I’m more concerned with the fact that he felt he needed to hide it.”
Archie takes a deep breath, allowing his head to fall back for a moment before facing the girl once more. “I should probably head home. Did you need me to take you home?”
(Y/N) smiles and shakes her head, “Thank you, but no. I should be heading back in anyway. Goodnight, Arch.” Archie nods and lifts a hand to wave goodbye before walking away.
Turning around, about to walk back inside-(Y/N) sees Jughead exiting the building. He freezes when he locks eyes with her. “I thought you left, I was on my way to come see you.”
“Not yet. Walk me home?” she asks.
He lets out a relieved breath, “Yes,” is all he says.
They walk in silence for a while, (Y/N) waits for Jughead to make the first move.
“For what?” she asks, looking over at him quickly before turning her attention back in front of her.
“For not telling you about my dad. I wanted to but…” he cut himself off.
“But what?” she asks, curious.
He took a moment before answering, “I was ashamed.”
(Y/N) frowns before linking her arm with his, pulling him closer to her as they continue to walk. “Jug,” she begins, “you know that I am always here for you. For the good and the bad. That’s kind of part of this whole relationship thing,” she teases. “But seriously though, I want you to be honest with me. I want you to know that you can always turn to me.”
“I know that I can,” he sighs. “But I was worried about what you would think.”
“Of you?” she asks, scrunching her nose. “My opinion of your father wouldn’t change anything I think of or feel for you. I know who you are Juggie and I love you-every weird and kooky thing about you.”
Jughead stops walking, causing (Y/N) to halt her movements too. His hands rest on her shoulders as he takes her in, a smile slowly forms on his face.
“What is it?” she questions.
“I have no idea how I got so lucky,” he mumbles. (Y/N) rolls her eyes and goes to speak but was cut off by Jughead’s lips on hers. The kiss doesn’t last long. When he pulls away, Jughead rests his forehead against (Y/N)’s.
(Y/N) smiles, “You do know that you can trust me, right? If you need anything at all.”
Jughead strokes her cheek gently with his thumb, “(Y/N), there’s no one else that I trust more.”
I did art this week but not something i feel showing in the art blog. Mostly it was screwing around in rpg maker and making very bad autotiles and fixing Alice colors, cus mine default color choices in sprites tend to be very pale in values.
so here’s wip picture of Alice and planning is hard. Like i think her costume was supposed to be like a space suit of sorts but instead its more like a weird pajama?.. at least its cute right?
yeah, the idea about yn game jam still excite me, but i kinda keep worried if i even will be alble to pull off something…
I have a question for the Henry Toon Au: How did Bendy and the other's react when they found out Henry somehow turned into a toon, there'd have to have been a lot of questions that not even Bendy could answer.
No, they all expected it. You see, Joey’s plan involves turning everything into cartoons using the Ink Machine. He already did this to the studio and countless other former employees, like Sammy. If Henry was going to show his face at the studio at all, he would have to turn into a ‘toon in order to survive there, given the way things work in the Ink Machine’s ‘toon reality.
What they weren’t expecting is the gravity of what it means to do that to somebody against their will. They haven’t fully grasped what happened to Sammy yet, thinking he was just kind of a “work in progress” (Alice could tell right away something was wrong, but couldn’t really identify what, since she had nothing to go on with no REAL reality to compare against).
