Michael Carini | Blutiful | Acrylic on Canvas | 24" x 24" | 2012
“Blutiful” was one of the first paintings of my April/May 2012 artist residency for Alexander Salazar Fine Art in Downtown San Diego. Inspired by a conversation with a homeless man I met named Blue, it is a reminder that beauty can be found in even the most difficult times and the most unlikely of places. In times of darkness, discover your own light and make life “Blutiful.”

The Carini Technique
As every story has a past, present, and future, what may at first glimpse appear to be non-objective abstraction is in fact segmentations of energetic imagery interacting through the boundlessness of space and time.
