albums: then play on

Last night, R and I watched a bunch of documentaries, including one on Willie Nelson, which referenced his smash album Red Headed Stranger.

R: In the RV park, Red Headed Stranger is the only album I feel comfortable playing over my external speaker system. It’s the only music everyone can agree they like.

Sam: Isn’t Red Headed Stranger a concept album about going on the run after murdering your family?

R: People can relate.

ok before i go to bed i just wanna say i’m really fucking proud of harry!!! watching him grow into the person he is has been a privilege and he’s come so far bc i guarantee a few years ago he wouldn’t have thought he’d be able to get up there alone in a floral suit playing his own album!!! he radiates happiness and love and i’m just so fucking happy for him!!!! 💓💓💓

DAMI HOLD ME BACK BEFORE I STAB A BITCH!! I WAS JUST HAPPILY TWEETING ABOUT HOW PROUD IM FOR MONSTA X AND THIS BITCH HAD THE COURAGE OF COME AT ME SAYING I SHOULDN'T BE SO EXCITED BC ALMOST EVERYONE GETS A BONSANG, AND I REALLY WANT TO HIT SOMEONE BC I ALL I WAS DOING WAS PRASING MX,I NEVER CITED OTHER ARTISTS,OR SAYED ANYTHING ABOUT OTHER AWARDS ,OR ANYTHING TO ARRANT THIS MOTHERFUCKERY -ALL I DID WAS PRAISE MY FAV AND I DONT UNDERSTAND I HATE PEOPLE SO MUCH

it’s stupid tho, saying almost everyone gets one as if that makes it less of an achievement lmfao. them getting a bonsang is honestly great, it’s literally like the best award…is that even the right way to describe it, after a daesang. and it’s not just something that is dashed to people randomly, factors like album/digital sales play a part. so ask the bitch on twitter to kindly stfu and focus on hyping her faves. that simple.

Pied piper is my jam. The whole album is fucking lit tbh (I also don't hate Best of Me as much as I thought I would) but I also really love MIC Drop and Go Go.

I think my order goes as follows:

Pied Piper
Go Go
Serendipity
Mic Drop
DNA
Best of Me
Dimple
Her

But I’ve not skipped a single song (save the skit) because every single one is so good. I’m just waiting for my damn physical albums to ship. Looking at you, GMarket 😑😑😑😑

This is why I never judge an entire album based on one or two songs. The media, and the public are judging reputation off of the two songs they have heard so far. And you hear the whole, “Is this gonna be the entire album? Taylor just ‘whining and complaining’ about playing the victim?” Hello people, you were all the ones that probably judged the entire RED album based off of WANEGBT and look what that album turned out to be lol! You couldn’t get any more diverse than that album from her discography!

So moral of the story here? Before you judge an entire album, how about you wait for the album to come out, listen to it in its entirety, and then come to your own conclusions then hm?

i was tagged by @mossbug to list some of the albums ive been listening to lately! woohoo

Okay I’m about to spill some tea

SO “oh look, taylor swift is dragging up past drama to sell her new album, look at her playing the victim again, you’re still over”

is what all the haters happen to be screaming (among over ridiculous things) tonight, following the release of Look What You Made Me Do, the lead single to Swift’s 6th album: Reputation. But let’s take a little trip down memory lane to see if Taylor really is playing the victim. Hold on ladies, it’s gonna be a long one.

2006-2008

Taylor broke out in 2006, and when Love Story stormed the charts in late 2008 she became a global superstar and thus named “America’s Sweetheart” a bittersweet and dangerous title for any young female star, because it’s so easy to fall from the top. She was immediately held to an impossibly high standard of perfection, in every aspect of her life, and she handled this with grace.
