Seeking closeness is closeness. Seeking love is love. Seeking knowledge is knowledge. Seeking faith is faith. Seeking gratitude is gratitude. Seeking an alliance with God is an alliance with God.
Al-Junaid said: “Believing in the path of purifying the heart and seeking closeness with Allah, is Wilaya (an alliance with Allah). ”
The fact that you are given the facility to drink from the cup of yearning and longing is an alliance from Allah to you.

Consistency isn’t always positive

A worry:

“My intentions keep changing! I try so hard to keep my heart focused on Allah, but keeping it in place is so challenging. Surely this means I am a hypocrite.”

An answer:

Al-Junaid Al-Baghdaadi says:

“الصادق يتقلّب في اليوم أربعين مرة، والمرائي تجده على حالةٍ واحدة أربعين سنة”

“The heart of the truthful one changes from state to state forty times a day, whilst the heart of the show off is fixed on one state for forty years.”

The measure of sincerity isn’t in the permanent elimination of insincere thoughts. Rather, it’s in the daily effort of resisting them, as we strive to put them back in line tens of times a day.

As for the insincere, their hearts are careless and remain distant from such worries for years on end.

Yes, they are consistent. Consistently at fault.

4 SIFAT

Ada empat hal yang dapat mengangkat seseorang kepada darjat yang tertinggi walaupun amal ibadatnya sedikit iaitu: sifat-sifat penyantun, merendah diri, pemurah dan budi pekerti yang baik. Itulah kesempurnaan IMAN.

[ Abul Qasim Al-Junaid ]

Orang yang mencintai Allah, laksana bintang indah yang berkelipan. Jasad mereka dibumi, akan tetapi roh mereka bebas dibalik hijab kerana kecintaan. Mereka terus tabah apabila ditimpa kesusahan dan bencana. Lupalah mereka akan dunia, begitulah rindunya hati para arifin.
