In the gun industry, its almost expected to hate airsoft and milsimers. And granted, there are lots of chumps who participate in these activities who have given airsoft the reputation it has. But there are also tons of people who learn lots of good fundamentals and get good exercise in.
In this video you’ve got one player moving cover to cover, changing his elevation to best suit the environment around him, and transitioning his rifle between support side and strong side. Can these skills translate to shooting real guns? I whole-heartedly believe they can.
I’d love to see more people in the firearms community participate in force-on-force activities. It could be paintball, airsoft, simmunitions, or UTM. Logistically airsoft is the most viable. If done right, any of these mediums can build good skill.
