aint nobody got time for a shower

American High School Sports AU!JinJin
  • he looks damn good in his blue and white letterman jacket
  • being the captain of the school’s pride and joy is hard but somebody’s gotta do it and that somebody just happens to be your boyfriend
  • everyone’s best bud, student extraordinaire, absolute cutie pie and yet the most attractive man in the school, varsity football team captain, Park Jinwoo
  • hes a walking stereotype but hes irresistible
  • every thursday night he spends hour after hour with his boys out on the field
  • you do your homework in the stands because he’ll be too tired to drive himself home and you live near him anyways
  • it also gives you time to get in some alone time with your boyfriend
  • ;)
  • after he hits the showers of course aint nobody allowed to stink up your car
  • the hours he spends making out with you on thursday nights, your homework falling off your lap as you tangle your hands in his hair are innumerable
  • #highschoollife
  • your life is so stereotypical that if you wrote an autobiography it would become a best selling YA romance novel
  • you’re not complaining
  • after all, it’s your lips that Jinwoo’s got memorized
  • but fridays are your favorite days because you get to wear one of Jinwoo’s (washed ofc) jerseys to school because its tradition
  • you’re proud, wearing his 96 around the school
  • prouder when he looks at you like you’re the only thing in the world and smiles so hard his eyes become little crescents
  • proudest when this happens the schoolday before the district championships which, if won, will take your boy to state
  • but after the school day is over everyone runs back home to freshen up
  • before the big game ofc
  • you don’t actually see Jinwoo before the big game
  • only when he walks on field in front of his teammates, shoulder pads on and helmet loosely in his hand, mouth guard in
  • do you see him
  • they toss a coin to see who plays first and Jinwoo loses, putting a damper on your school’s mood for a second
  • that’s lifted when your school gets the first touchdown
  • and the second
  • and the third, fourth, and fifth
  • winning always makes forgetting obstacles and shit easier
  • by this point the stadium is on its feet, cheerleaders screaming their voices raw as the seconds count down
  • you know its impossible for the other school to bring themselves up in time but its feeling unreal
  • all of the dates Jinwoo missed, apologetic, because he had an emergency practice and all the days spent hanging out near the football field because he couldn’t go too far from it just in case he was needed paid off
  • the whistle is blown and you find yourself screaming and yelling your boyfriend’s name with the rest of the stadium
  • you know youll be the only one screaming his name later ;)
  • the boys get into a huddle and then separate quickly, and you can feel the happiness radiating off of them
  • you rush down the steps to the place right outside the boys locker room as soon as you can
  • the cheers and yells of the players are audible from outside the locker room but you’re searching for one voice in particular
  • “guys, we did great out there,”
  • there it is
  • “now let’s do even better at state!”
  • theres a collective yell and you instinctively step back from the door
  • good thing too, because all the freshly showered players rush out seconds later, going to find their parents and girlfriends and boyfriends and best friends and siblings
  • all but one
  • you open the door to find Jinwoo with only a towel wrapped around his waist, hair mussed and gigantic grin on his face
  • “you know, this wouldn’t be possible without my ever supportive girlfriend” he smirks, crossing over to you and pulling you into his wet chest
  • “what about your parents and coaches and teammates and-”
  • “yeah but they can’t give me a hot make out session in celebration” he grins and molds his lips to yours
  • you push him off gently later because he needs clothes and you both have to meet the other players and go out for dinner
  • you’re incredibly proud of him though and let him know so later
  • ;)
  • you’re your proudest when you get to wear his letterman to school on Monday, signalling his success in leading his team to state
