Prompto: Dude, what you cooked the other day? That was really good.  (˘・ᴗ・˘)

Ignis: Ah, yes. I used Galdin sea salt which boasts unique properties. It’s mineral composition closely resembles …… are you listening?  ( ¬_¬)

Prompto: Uh… y-yeah, yeah! Salt! Looove the stuff! Mm-hmm.  (・ ・ ;;)

Gladio: How did you manage to graduate?  ( ¬_¬)

Welcome, everyone! With the recent influx of author appreciation and call for comments on fics, I thought I’d jump in, too! I primarily read fics for Destiel, and I thought it would be fun to feature a different fic every month on my blog!

JUNE PICK: The Lonely Sea and the Sky by @whelvenwings

When Dean, a little lost and a little lonely, finds himself wishing on a star one night, he doesn’t expect anything to come of it, and certainly not for the star in question to fall right out of the sky. The very last thing that he could have possibly anticipated is Castiel - winged, angry and looking for the grace that he lost in the fall, so that he can get back to Heaven.

Dean’s a little fascinated by Castiel, and Castiel is intrigued by Dean and his seafaring life. But Castiel has to go back to Heaven, and finding the grace has to be his first priority, even though it often seems he would rather put Dean first. But Dean knows it’s foolish to hope. After all, a bird may fall in love with a fish - but where would they live?

Listen, listen, lISTEN. I love everything about this fic. I’ve read creature!Cas, but I’ve never read creature!Dean before this fic, and it worked very well. Dean’s a merman in this, lonely and feeling left out from his fellow merpeople in the ocean. Cas is an angel who falls from heaven when Dean prays, and loses his grace in the process. Cue Cas, who is angry at Dean for making him fall, and Dean who feels terrible about it. Together they work to find Cas’s fallen grace, and find something a bit more along the way.

The writing in this is phenomenal. The author’s way in telling a story is like art, and you’ll be reading chapter after chapter in need to know what comes next. And that ending? I was reading it at work and almost cried (good luck trying to explain that one.) Count yourself lucky if you read this fic. It is truly perfect.

“Where’s the warship?”

“I can’t seem to find a warship… But if we’re going to ride something, that seems like the safer choice. I mean, that’ll give us a way of exploring by sea. Ah, but in my case, there’s a good chance that we’d get hit with a torpedo… I’m sure it feels really painful… to be stuck… inside a ship’s cabin…”

What are you talking about…?

I think we both had a pretty good time.

wow what a great episode! my favorite part was when theon knocked out ramsay, took sansa in his arms and leapt out of the tower into the waiting arms of brienne, who, along with podrick, carried them to safety across the narrow sea. ah what a good ending to that series.

wherever you go, i go

So, this is my speculation, well a more ideal speculation for the supposed dock scene for 4x20. CS fluff.

“Do you wanna get out of her?” Her head popped up from the spot it was resting on his shoulder, giving him a small smiling. His head turned to look at her as she asked.

“Sure.” They let themselves walk quietly passed Maleficent and Lily and away from the drama currently happening outside of Granny’s. They kept their arms around each other as they walked down Main Street and towards the docks.

By the time they were at the docks, she had managed to maneuver herself so that she was clinging to his hooked arm with her head on his shoulder. They walked down the pier never leaving each other’s side, as they headed down towards where the Jolly was resting.

They stopped a while to stand at the railing of the pier, looking out to the clearness of the bay. He stood behind her, and she relaxed in his embrace as his arms came around her waist, his chin resting on her shoulder.

She wished it could always be like this. It was so easy, to just sit her with him, and admire the sea. With everything that had been going on, it had been hard to catch her breath.

“So, what exactly are we doing here, love?”

“Well, I thought I’d take the opportunity for a quiet moment.” She turned her head slightly to glance at him. “We haven’t had one in a while. At least, not one where we were alone.”

“Ah yes, well. The seas is a good place to go when you want to be alone. I feel like we always end up here.” He tightened his arms around her more, moving his head to kiss the back of hers, before returning to his spot on her shoulder.

“Hmm.” She was staring at the bay now, and she knew he could sense that she had been thinking, so she answered his question before he could ask it. “Do you ever miss it? Being out on the sea, I mean.”

“Sure. I’m a pirate. But, I have the Jolly again, and a huge bay in front of me whenever I want to go sailing.” They both continued to look out into the sea. It was so bright outside, given that it was still morning. “Yeah, but, don’t you miss living out there. Doing piratey things. Sailing the realms. I mean, it was your home.”

He could feel her get tense, making his heart break a little for her. She still had reservations about how he felt about her. “Emma,” he turned her around in his arms. “Aye, it was my home. But that’s just it, it was. Things have changed. I told you you were my happy ending, Emma, and I meant it. You are my home now. Wherever you go, I go.”

She struggled to look at him without letting tears build up in her eyes. “Really?”

“Yeah.” He was looking at her so lovingly with those deep blue eyes of his that she had to look away. Emma glanced back out at the sun-kissed sea before closing her eyes and letting a single tear drop. A smile graced her face as she looked back at Killian, who wiped away the tear struggling to fall down her cheek.

“I love you.”

He stopped to stare at her for a second, giving her a chance to realize what she just said. She let out a small laugh and took his hand in hers, intertwining their fingers. A grin tugged at his lips before it turned into that huge cheesy smile that she loves.

“I love you too.” She used her other hand to reached behind his neck and haul his lips towards hers, closing the gap between them. It was soft and passionate, and they aren’t sure they have ever held themselves as close as they are now.

Emma pulls away first for breath, pressing the side of her head against his chin, looking back out to where the Jolly Roger was docked. “What do you say about some pillaging and plundering?”

She lifts her head to see the most photo worthy expression on his face. He releases her from his hold while never letting go of her hand, and lead them down the docks to his ship.

“As you wish.”
