I found this song because the lead singer of Edmund is Doctor Who’s Arthur Darvill. But I was caught by the catchy tune and ready-to-dance sound. Then I really listened to the lyrics and that completed the tri-fecta for addiction.
I don’t know about anyone else, but sometimes I like to think about the strageness it is to be a human being and how we function. I think this Darren Criss song captures that feeling that we’re all different, but we’re all the same. No matter what you’ve gone through or you’ve done, there is someone else that has had a similar experience.
This Coldplay song was really overplayed on the radio, but I’m at the point where I love listening to it again. The line “I’d rather be a comma than a full stop” has to be my favorite- I just fangirl over it a little every time I hear it.
This song by Laurena Segura was one of the videos that won the Nerd Factor contest by the Vlogbrothers. I love everything about this song, from the lyrics to the gentle music to her sweeping voice. Not only should you listen to the song, but watch the video that won.
I highly recommend this entire album by Ben Rector, but this particular song caught my interest from the beginning. I would at least give it a listen- it has a very easy sound. I also really take the lyrics to heart.
First of all, go buy this album. You will not regret it. Charlene Kaye is amazing and her sophomore album does not disappoint. This track in is the middle of the CD and will be one of the first ones you fall in love with. The lyrics are intricate and the music will make you want to dance.
