A word about Agent Carter!

As a big collector of TV and movies on home video, I can tell you that September brings a slew of TV seasons on DVD and Blu-Ray.

And on September 18, Agent Carter Season 1 (and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2) will reach physical home video release on DVD and Blu-Ray.

But before you plan a trip to Target, Best Buy or wherever you like to buy your movies and TV shows… I need to tell you that it’s an Amazon exclusive.

Now, for a release like this, there’s one of two things that have happened:

  • The retailer is investing a lot to be the only retailer to purchase this from.
  • The publisher would not have released it otherwise.

Honestly, the limitation is surprising. You’d think the brand name of Marvel would get it on shelves. But seemingly, Buena Vista Home Video doesn’t believe Peggy will sell well.

Now, it’s likely because Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 might not have sold well (I preordered that, though), so only a private exchange with Amazon got them to put it out.

But did that mean Agent Carter would not have sold? Who can say since they didn’t give it a shot.

So, I urge anyone who collects Marvel or really loves Agent Carter to go ahead and pre-order Season 1. It’s a little pricier than it would have been (since Amazon has no competition for this product, they can charge more), but sales mean everything to these companies. (I mean, if you can’t afford it, then it’s your call. Live your life.)

Let them know that Marvel’s first female-led project has fans who want to see it continue!

best theory ever

okay so i was thinking about South and North, and how we don’t actually know what happened when the Meta came for them.  All we have is that the last thing South remembers is hearing North scream, and then waking up with Wash there telling her North died.  And later, we have Delta saying that she put him in a position to be killed.

They’re both hiding from the Meta, yeah?  Like, in the same area, but not too close to each other.  And South, being South, doesn’t having her goddamn trackers set.

Meta, with all sneakiness, manages to sneak up on her.  Surprises her.  Meta knocks her out, and the last thing she hears is North screaming and giving away where he was hiding.

Meta leaves South alive because he can remember (through Maine’s memories and through the memories Eta and Iota had from Carolina maybe?) that North is the one that’s got the AI.

Delta’s South put him in a position to be killed came from him being implanted in her and finding out that she feels guilty over North’s death - if the Meta hadn’t caught her, he wouldn’t have given away his position.  And also, Delta’s kind of a fucking dick at this point.

There are a few dodgy spots, I know, but it’s better than the theory that she just fucking fed her brother to an AI-hungry Meta.
