after seeing this movie

Ok this has been bugging me since the first ep of GF and nobody's talking about it: Why was there a grappling hook in the gift shop? It can hold the weight of at least two 12-year-olds, so it's too good quality to be a kitschy Stan-souvenir, and it's the only one we see so he probably doesn't even sell them. And at no point are we led to believe it belonged to Stan, Ford, or McGucket. How do you think it got there?

This actually hadn’t occurred to me before you brought it up, Anon! But I’ve given it a little thought, and here are my theories;

1.) It was a leftover of Ford’s that Stan forgot to throw out.

2.) It was a simple sending error- Stan got it by accident at some point and never bothered to chuck it in the bin.

3.) Stan bought and kept it on purpose after seeing one too many superhero movies, with the idea that he could use it to rob a museum or something one day. (I’m especially fond of this one, personally)

4.) Alex Hirsch Bill Cipher took it upon himself to get someone to put it there. Because you know what every possible future pawn needs? A grappling hook, that’s what they need. Just in case they need to scale something before he can get his little hands onto them. He doesn’t want Pine Tree and Shooting Star dying too early, and the grappling hook played a pretty decent role in them not getting seriously hurt when the Gideonbot fell.

Finn : a complexe, well-rounded, loveable black character

Hux : a white guy we saw 3 minutes in the movie, who said 3 lines, so
insignificant I didn’t even remember he was there after seeing the movie

As a bit of an enthusiast when it comes to historical fashion it annoys me they tried to "modernize" it. Like the original dress wasn't period-accurate either, but it DID have a basis in history (albeit the wrong period), whereas the new dress doesn't seem to have any respect to history

i feel you, but if they had ditched the historical accuracy for a good looking dress, i would let it slide. like, i can’t speak for historical accuracy on cinderella’s dress, but just look at this

it really looks like a magical dress. like a big, fluffy, beautiful blue cloud of a dress. just looking at it makes me want to reach out and feel it’s texture. the only downside is the too tight corset, imo, but just loose it up a bit, let the poor girl fucking breathe, and you have a simple, yet regal and dreamy dress. a++

now compare it to this and just

what is this stiff, piss-colored thing. what the hell. it looks as sad as i feel while seeing it.

actually, for better accuracy, just take these two similar shots of the princesses wearing their respective gowns:

vs

really, in my opinion, there’s no competition. this dress is lazy and boring. step up your game once more, disney.

favorite parts of batb (2017) thus far

bc it’ll be fun to see how much i can add after i do see the movie in full

*in no particular order*

  • lefou’s little wink to gaston while singing the lines “you can ask any tom, dick, or stanley / and they’ll tell you whose team they prefer to be on” and basically implying that gaston can turn all the straight men gay
  • gaston being the one to put his arms around lefou!!! like, “too much” my ass, gaston, you initiated the cuddling!!!
  • gaston shooting a fUCKING HOLE IN THE CEILING OF THE TAVERN
  • also “i’m not done with you yet” “neither am i” aka lefou being cute n gay
  • gaston not knowing what “je ne se quois” means when he lives in france
  • beast’s little smile after he threw the snowball that knocked belle over, like, who allowed for this so-called monster to be so darn cute!!!
  • belle automatically assuming every inanimate object in the castle is alive and promptly asking a hairbrush for its name

Lucas Till (Tripp) pretending to drive his truck and even making the sounds in Monster Trucks.

If this isn’t one of the cutest things you’ve ever seen him do, you’re crazy.
