Imagine you have been traveling with the Doctor ever since you were a child and he is like a father to you.
Imagine that one day, the TARDIS lands on Asgard when there’s a royal ball being held in the palace. You both attend, and you and Loki fall in love with one another at first sight, despite the Doctor’s clear disapproval-which becomes clearer as time goes on.
Eventually, the Doctor forces you to make a decision-continue traveling with him in constant adventure and danger-or stay on Asgard with Loki and make a more stable life with him.
“Evangeline!” a faint whisper penetrates my foggy mind, all of the whimsy fantasies of my subconscious evaporating in my brain, dreams hiding in the cracks of my mind, waiting to greet me again for the next time I drift off into slumber.
“Hmm?” I reply, gently rubbing my eyes.
“Time to wake up dear, all of time and space awaits us!”
I blink my eyes open as they come into focus, a tall man in suspenders and a bow tie is seen fiddling around with buttons and controls diligently at the center of the TARDIS.
“Morning doctor!” I greet with a yawn. “If that is indeed the time right now …”
Guys, help, I’m barely having enough energy to make it through each day. Since Wednesday when I only got 2 hours of sleep, I’ve been pretty much running on empty except for the few glorious caffeine rushes (I thank the household gods [coffee]). Now this weekend I’ve got to write 3 damn good essays if I want a B average this quarter. AND tomorrow Merlin’s on. Dammit, Jim! I just want it to be break alreadyyyy. Pleeeaaassseee?
TITLE: The Stable Girl CHAPTER NUMBER/ONE SHOT: 1 AUTHOR: fanficshiddles WHICH TOM/CHARACTER: Loki GENRE: Romance, Adventure FIC SUMMARY: Loki finally meets the new stable hand, Evelyn. They have a lot in common, though Evelyn is hiding a few secrets. Will they fall in love and get a happy ending? RATING: M AUTHORS NOTES/WARNINGS: None for this chapter.
I hadn’t been on Asgard long. I used to stay on Midgard, but now I had a new life here on Asgard. I was the stable hand. I looked after 9 horses at the moment that were stabled in the royal stables. I loved my job.
The only thing I did not like, was I had to attend some celebrations in the royal palace. I was not really a people person. At all. I was much better with animals.
After many unstimulating interactions with countless strangers, The Doctor finally decides to leave me in a corner by myself. He is immediately clung to Odin’s side, immersed in what looks like a very focused, upbeat conversation between the two of them.
And here I stand, watching as pairs of people begin making their way to the center of the dance floor, anticipation in their every step.
My eyes sweep the group of dancers as I watch them begin their waltz; the woman’s right hand intertwined in the man’s, the other delicately placed on his shoulder. In return, the man’s firm grasp lay steady on the woman’s waist.
