YIKES! I just found out I’m the longest resident EVER at the animal control shelter in Athens, Georgia.
I’m Biz, and I asked my best volunteer friend why no one had picked me.
She said it’s really just because everyone at the shelter loves me too
much to let me go! AWWWW!
Then she admitted that was selfish and she ran right out and asked the Shelter Pet Project to feature me, and here I am!
you can tell, I’m super-happy. I love to give kisses and play with the
other dogs at the shelter. I’m cheerful, affectionate, and playful. I
have a great sense of humor and some pretty awesome ears!
haven’t mastered that “fetch” game the humans like so much, but I can
toss my own ball in the air and catch it all day! Also, when I feel like
some love, I will just lie right next to you and plop my paws in your
lap! BEST. THING. EVER. Guaranteed!
And when I know you have treats? Wait til you see my puppy dog eyes!
two years old, healthy, neutered, and weigh 45 pounds of pure
sweetness. To learn more or meet me, just email my buds at
I’m Leo and I’m a dazzlingly good looking once-in-a-lifetime dog who somehow, through a series of highly unfortunate circumstances, ended up a starving puppy living on the streets!!!!! #tragedy
Well, you can imagine how glad I was when a nice lady stopped her warm car and took me out of the cold and to the vet doctor, where I was all fixed up and got to eat all the food I needed. #blessed
Then my savior named me “Leo” and took me to meet nice new friends at Adopt-a-Dog in Armonk, New York. Everybuddy there fell in love with me – who could resist? I was the staff favorite, sweet and adorable to every person who met me, and VERY smart! #overachiever
But somehow the days have become months and now years – for two years I’ve been waiting, longer than any other pet in this shelter. #theremustbesomemistake
I can understand some people may not think they’re worthy of me. THIS IS NOT TRUE! You are! I can see into your heart and I know it’s full of love! #knowallseeall
My shelter friends think I should be an only pet, but maybe we can discuss this. The thing is, when you’re as amazing as me, it’s hard to see why people would want another pet! Trained, healthy, loving… gosh, I wish I could adopt myself! #justtellingitlikeitis
If you already have pets or live really far from me, maybe you could reblog me? See, I spend a lot of time dreaming of my new home, and how can people know I’m looking for them if they never see my post? #inarguable
So please, call 914-273-1674 or email email@example.com and tell them you want to meet Leo… and then just casually say, “What do you think of him?” if you want to know all about me! #onlygoodthings
ANYWAY this Pit is named Dad and he was at my local animal shelter for MONTHS and like they discounted him and someone sponsored his adoption fees but no one would adopt him and then yesterday he was adopted and he got to go home with his new family and I’m so happy and he’s the purest and best thing coming out of 2016
Karina seems to think the shelter is some kind of spa vacation. This happy, funny, playful gal likes to run all around with a toy in her mouth, then hurtle herself in the grass at your feet and wriggle for belly rubs. She brings with her 100 percent pure unadulterated joy!
She’s active, but knows how to mind her manners – she sits for treats so earnestly it’s like she’s going to explode!
Adopt her, and you’ll know happiness and fun all the rest of your life.
Reblog her, and angels will fly down and sprinkled heavenly dust on you!
Karina is at Athens-Clarke County Animal Control in Athens, Georgia, who can be reached at 706-613-3540.
this little guy is ‘Moy’ he is my latest pit bull foster puppy as a part of my volunteer work with the humane society and ACC, creating a voice and slowly but surely getting pit bulls adopted and into safe homes.
I’m still waiting at Providence Animal Center in Media, Pennsylvania, for you awesome friends to reblog me and help me find my heart’s desire: a home! #dreamscometrue
As you can tell, I’m a bouncy girl, healthy and happy, just one year old. I love my toys, playing, cuddling I know tricks like giving kisses on cue, and am housetrained and walk nicely on a leash. #superstar
One trick I haven’t learned is getting along with other pets, but I more than make up for it with an impressive array of different ear positions – I could probably be an Internet sensation! #thegoodkindofviral

“This is Rachel She was sitting on death row at the Riverside Animal Shelter. She’s a very sweet 3 year old pit bull. Rachel is gentle with children. Rachel is an awesome dog, she just needs someone to love her.”
Captain reporting for duty, Shelter Pet Project people!
I’m currently stationed at the Babylon Animal Shelter in West Babylon, New York. I’m looking for a new assignment, as the kennel situation here, even for us officers, is not ideal in terms of allowing me to fulfill my duty to the best of my ability – which as an officer and a dog I’m honor-bound to do!
My special skills including being a big mushball and giving truly tremendous hugs. I demonstrate an exceptional degree of gratitude, get along with my fellow canine recruits, love treats, excel at marches (known in civilian parlance as “long walks”), and above all, will stay loyally and lovingly at your side forever.
I’m looking for a permanent assignment, so if you know of a unit that could use a dog of my abilities, please contact my current CO at 631-643-9270.
Your assistance in spreading the word about my availability for reassignment will be much appreciated.
