It’s been scorching hot in Kyoto for the past few days. It’s coming close to 40 degrees and one way to cool down is swimming in one of Japan’s many rivers way up in the mountains. We all went to Kutsuki area of Kyoto on Rt 367 and took a dip in the Adogawa River (安曇川). So cool and refreshing with mountains all around. Topped this of with a local speciality of Iwana (East Asian trout) at Kutsuki Satoyama restaurant (朽木里山) at Kutsuki Onsen. Delicious and a nice end to a family outing!
