Do nurses wear uniforms these days? Just wondering.
Depends on the specialty and the facility, but when we do, they usually look like this:
So uniforms, yes; little white dresses, generally no.
It’s kind of nice, actually–scrubs are super comfy like pajamas, they’re unisex, there’s zero pressure to be fashionable, and in many facilities it’s socially acceptable to wear scrubs garishly festooned with Batman logos or Hello Kitty faces.
