Recieved a letter from Marie Curie this morning to say that I’ve reached 80% of my fundraising target! This means my place on the Kilimanjaro trek with action challenge is secure- woooooooop!
I’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me and this great cause, I’m beyond excited about this trip but I couldn’t have done it without my loved ones.
I still have a further £500 to raise and lots to do to get ready for the trek so I’ll keep updating this page with my progress. As always, if you’d like to sponsor me head to www.justgiving.com/I-Got-The-Power Myself, Marie Curie and the families they help will be very grateful : )
tomorrow morning, i will be signing up for half of the London to Brighton course on 24th may. i have already sighed up for london enduro on 14th june which will be my last long race before race to the stones…i definitely have pre race jitters
it was long, hard and rewarding. able to walk with a slight grimace due to two blisters on my heels. i managed to complete the 100 km in 18 hours and 58 minutes. i will tell you that when i saw the 99 km sign, i could have kissed it! i will probably do it again as the desire to improve my time is strong and this was one of the most organized and well staffed events i have ever participated in! kudos to #actionchallenge.
