I don’t believe in love at first sight.
And I don’t believe there is only one person for everyone.
I believe in attraction, connection.
I believe in chemistry.
I believe that love is more than a feeling.
I believe in actively loving, everyday.
I believe we choose who we love and who we want to spend our always with.
I believe in reminding our loves of their beauty, of their light, of your love for them, daily.
I believe in love everlasting.
The first time our bodies touched, he distracted me with his lips, effectively calming my nerves, while his fingers played a melody across the skin of my back.
We’ve come a long way since then.
The nerves are no longer there.
And we know each other’s curves like they are our own.
But still, he plays that melody for me each time we come together.
To this day, it’s still the most beautiful song I’ve ever felt.
The most humbling lesson I’ve ever experienced was learning to love myself.
And the most important part of that lesson?
The part that makes it incredibly humbling?
Realizing that it is a lesson that is never truly over.
It’s ongoing, it’s continuous, it is a lifetime of learning and loving.
Because as long as you are growing and changing, there will always be more to learn and more to love.
