Goodbye Mr. English Guy (Newt Scamander X Reader)

Requested: Yes

@fangirl4mbct: Hi can you do a Newt X Reader where the reader is a muggle (her and newt are in love) and she and Jacob get their memories taken but they still become friends and open the bakery together a few days later Queeny, Tina and Newt walk in and see them smiling and the reader looks at the three before looking back at Jacob with a knowing smile and she says something like “finally you guys come in here how long has it been since we’ve last seen you” and it’s all cute and fluffy?

Word Count: 974

A/N: Yay, I finally wrote something! I’m sorry for the long wait, I just never found the time to sit my butt down and write a full paragraph, hehe.
I changed the plot a tiny bit but I hope that’s alright! I’m sorry if this sucks!

*****

They all stared teary-eyed as Jacob walked away, not looking back. People passed, drenched from head to toe, their memories fading away.
The four people still sheltered from the rain, remained unnoticed. Millions of tiny water crystals fell onto the streets, the patter of the heavy droplets soothing and welcoming.

You knew it was your turn to step out and return to your normal life, you knew that it was the right thing to do. But your heart fought against you, not daring to move into the rain as if it were boiling acid. Acid that would strip away who you now were.

A gentle squeeze brought you back from your thoughts, you hadn’t realized that you were holding Newt’s hand.

“(Y/N), I…I can’t lose you,” Newt says, holding back tears that were threatening to fall. He had to be strong, for your sake. “We can make this work! You can climb into my case and I can take you to England and we can start a new life there without fear of being hunted by the ministry because they accept relationships with muggles and-”

He was stumbling over his words, something he did when he was extremely nervous. Oh, the things you already knew about the man and what he knew about you - and you had literally met over twenty-four hours ago! It was love at first sight, it was fate and now, it was being ripped apart.

You place your shaking hand on to Newt’s face and shake your head sadly.

“You know that’s risky Newt, I can’t have you get into any more trouble.”

“But-” he protests, desperately holding you closer.

“It’s…it’s alright, love. Jacob was right, I was never supposed to know any of this, it’s for…the best.”

He looks at you with sad but understanding eyes. A tear trickles slowly down his cheek.

“I love you.” he whispers.

“I love you too,” you say gently, tears also streaming down your face. You stand on your tiptoes and press your lips to his, savouring the feeling or his full lips against yours. You both tasted tears.
When you pulled away your body screamed for his touch, screamed to stay with him, but you fought against it, you had to.

You step back, face the streets and take a deep breath.

“Don’t worry, we’ll find her again,” Tina says gently to Newt. “We’ll find both of them, after all, they were friends before this whole thing.”

“But how will she remember?”

You smile sadly and turn your head ever so slightly and say, “I’m the same person, and I’ll find you attractive as soon as I see you. And if that doesn’t do anything helpful, grab me and kiss me, I won’t be complaining. Then…just be you, the one I fell in love with. Goodbye Mr. English Guy.”

With that, you step out into the rain and close your eyes. After a few seconds your head snaps up and you groan, quickly walking home.

“What kind of idiot am I for not bringing an umbrella?!” you scold yourself, bringing your hand up to rub your eyes with frustration.
Wait, had you been crying? You shake your head and tell yourself that it was just the rain.
“Damn the rain.” you mutter rather loudly before scurrying off.

“Damn the rain.” Newt repeats, watching you from a distance, hidden in the shadows.

*****

“Okay, tell me again. You’re saying that someone just gave you a bunch of silver eggs to fund for this bakery?” you ask Jacob with bulging eyes and a smile as you stand with him behind the counter, serving eager customers from left and right.

“Yep, crazy isn’t it?” he replies laughing.

“Where’d you get your ideas from, Mr. Kowalski?” a woman with a smiling face asks, admiring the baked goods.

“I don’t know! I don’t know…They just come.”

Suddenly the bell on the door jingles and three people walk in. However one, in particular, catches your eye.

“Hullo,” Newt says, walking up to the counter where you and Jacob stood. Your eyes never left the handsome man’s face. Wait, did he just flicker his eyes towards you too? You didn’t know why but he seemed awfully familiar…

“Hello, there mister! How can I help you today?…” Jacob’s voice trails off as he sees a pretty blonde haired girl walk up beside the man you had eyes for.

“Oh, I can’t take this anymore.” the one with dark hair yells. “Do something!”

Newt blinks a couple times and swoops in and kisses you on the lips, taking you completely off guard.

Everyone stares at him in shock.

When he pulled away, he shrunk back, as if he expected you to slap him or anything. To be completely honest, you enjoyed it, a lot and you weren’t going to complain. But suddenly with a pang in your chest, it all came rushing back. A flood of memories filled you with warmth a and you ran around the counter and jumped into Newt’s arms, startling him this time.

“Oh Newt, I’ve missed you!” you say, hugging him tightly and burying yourself into him.

Jacob seems to snap out of the whole memory loss thing too and says with a knowing smile, “Finally, you guys showed up! How long has it been since we’ve last seen you?”

But you barely heard him, the sound of his voice being drowned out and overpowered by Newt’s presence. All you wanted to feel, hear and see was Newt, and all he wanted was you.

“So it wasn’t goodbye after all.” Newt murmurs into your ear, gripping you tightly as if you would slip out of his reach again.

“Yeah, although it was fun saying ‘Goodbye Mr. English Guy’.” you reply with a laugh.

He rolls his eyes and presses his lips to yours once more.

What would you say that are the essentials for a style like bella?

x. This is a very broad and kind of in-detail at the same time link.

So if I had to say top 5 rules to have a style like Bella:

  1. Lots of accessories/jewelry. Especially chokers, sunglasses, and baseball/conductor hats. One, if not two, of these things should be in every look. Earnings are usually hoops, if she’s wearing rings, she’s wearing ten, and very rarely wears bracelets.
  2. Shirts are always cropped or sheer or a bodysuit. A lot of times she’s not even wearing a crop top, too, she has it tied behind her back to expose her midriff. But really this isn’t even general, she never wears a top that hangs over her jeans.
  3. Jackets or long sleeves. I dare you to find a look where Bella doesn’t have long sleeves and a jacket on/with her. I dare you. She usually wears leather or jean jackets, sometimes fur, and the occasionally hoodies or bombers. Matching denim jackets with denim bottoms and leather jackets with leather bottoms is very Bella.
  4. Boots or sneakers only. For boots, she typically mid-calf (fitted or leather- not cowboy styled) or combat styled. For sneakers, she’ll typically wear Nike, and sometimes Puma or Adidas. No flats or flip flops, very rarely wears heels outside of events, though boots can have a heel.
  5. Minimal color and print. Her outfits are typically black based, denim based, or white based (though usually black or denim) and she’ll occasionally wear red. The only print I ever see her wear is animal print; not a lot of graphic designs or patterns, usually her clothes have texture though.

Top 5 items for a style like Bella:

  1. Black boots: combat and leather mid-calf (with a little heel)
  2. Leather and or jean jacket: jean jacket would be slightly oversized, leather fitted well. Wear boots the most, and sometimes sneakers, no flats or flip-flops.
  3. Funky jeans: uneven hemming, torn up, splattered, acid wash, patches, stripped, two-toned/patchwork denim, leather, ect. Plain jeans are a god staple in general, but make sure you have some odd ones.
  4. Caps: usually baseball and sometimes conductor, almost always in black and baseball caps don’t have to be plain, they can have words/a design on them but no patterns.
  5. Crop tops and body suits: don’t ever let your shirt hang over your jeans, tuck it in or tie it back, own a few crop tops and body suits (usually in black and/or sheer).

Don't ignore acid reflux! Get treated if you can, my mom had the same issues and the stomach acid "stripped away" the lining of her esophagus . She now has Barrett's esophagus, a precancerous condition:(

I’m taking medicine for it! Hopefully it goes away soon but thank you for looking out.

To say that Jude was under the influence was quite the understatement. He’d gone and celebrated that he made a decent paycheck for the week, bringing in enough money he could actually pay bills on time and the rent without throwing it all on Bryton, and that was a celebration in itself. He went out, got some party favors, a little strip of acid to make his day a little more interesting. But little did he know he’d be eating fistfuls of a dick shaped cake because of it. “I know what this looks like, but…” Jude started as he continued eating some of the cake he had in his hands. “I had no clean dishes and I didn’t feel like washing. Plus, this is good as fuck. Like dive your face first in kind of good.” he said and nodded before offering up a handful. “Want some?”

SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo and Hair Masque

Back in October, I hit up my local Target and noticed that SheaMoisture had a new line. Since my other shampoo (SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo) was running low and expired (yes, I know!), I had to get a new shampoo and thought I’d try this one. I also got the masque.

The scent: I would say that there is a fig-scented, brown sugar aroma–which I absolutely love. If you’re a fan of earthy scents, then this is for you. You can also smell the honey, but it isn’t overbearing.

Key ingredients (according to the product labels):

  • Manuka Honey: contains anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the scalp. Helps create a moisturizing barrier.
  • Mafura Oil: contains high levels of beneficial oleic acid. Helps replenish oils stripped from hair.
  • African Rock Fig: contains antioxidant Vitamin C, which helps keep hair looking vibrant.

The Intensive Hydration Shampoo: As always, I diluted the shampoo with apple cider vinegar and water, but made sure I had higher concentrations of the shampoo to actually test the product. Interestingly enough, I was able to do a bit of finger detangling in the shower with this shampoo when I cleansed my hair. This shampoo also left my hair very moisturised–even more so than the Moisture Retention Shampoo, which sometimes left my hair feeling dry if I used to much of it.

The Intensive Hydration Hair Masque: One of the best conditioners I have ever tried hands down. The conditioner has a super thick and creamy consistency. I massaged it between my fingers and there was so much slip, so naturally, I was really excited to see how it would work for my hair. Although I considered using the conditioner straight out of the container, I decided to add EVOO and avocado oil to the mix and a few drops of rosemary essential oil. Then I worked the masque generously into my thick hair. I left it in for an hour and when I hopped in the shower, I noticed just how easy it was to remove the tangles and shedding that I didn’t get during my detangling session the night before. My fingers literally glided through my strands under the stream of water. Also, my kinky, coarse hair literally felt like butter! It was so smooth and soft.

Overall, the shampoo and the hair masque are definitely keepers. I was in HEAVEN as I was washing and conditioning my hair today. If you choose not to get the shampoo,  please look into getting the hair masque–it works wonders for kinky hair. I’m so happy with my purchases! With the combination of the three ingredients plus gylcerin, shea butter, and aloe vera juice–these will be my fall and winter staples! :-)

TOO much acid from citrus can strip moisture from the chords, but a small amount acts as an astringent to sterilize and tighten the chords so they rub together correctly and don't have the type of friction to cause blisters or nodes. My go-to is 6 parts green tea, 1 part lemon juice, and 1/2 part honey. The lemon does the aforementioned, the tea soothes any inflammation and rinses, and the honey coats and comforts the voice. 10/10 would swear by

Ooh thank you so much for sharing! This sounds perfect!

Cats are natural carnivores and NEED meat in their diet. Feeding your cat a vegan diet is cruel. I support veganism 100% but cat's should never be fed a vegan diet as it's unnatural for them and very unhealthy.

Do you have something to back up your point, or is just because that’s what people say over and over? When I started with veganism I was pretty skeptical about feeding companion animals plant-based diets; until I started researching. As I stated in the last ask, is mandatory that a qualified veterinarian gives the approval after examine the cat carefully.

Meat-based diets: some ugly truths

Diseases demonstrated to be more likely following long-term maintenance of cats and dogs on some commercial meat-based diets include kidney, liver, heart, thyroid, neurologic, neuromuscular, skin, and infectious diseases, and bleeding disorders.

Additionally, after examining and treating many thousands of animals for around a decade, I’ve become convinced that rates of diseases such as cancer, kidney and liver disease are far higher than would occur naturally. These have been particularly common in my elderly patients, when they may eventually result in severe illness, and sadly, euthanasia.

But are there toxins in common animal diets? My research revealed that, particularly when imported from regions such as the US, with weaker regulations, commercial pet foods constitute a vast industrial dumping ground for slaughterhouse waste products, ‘4-D’ meat (from dead, dying, diseased or disabled animals), old or spoiled supermarket meat, large numbers of rendered dogs and cats from animal shelters, old restaurant grease, complete with high concentrations of hazardous free radicals and trans fatty acids, and damaged or spoiled fish, complete with potentially dangerous levels of mercury, PCBs and other toxins. The combined results are rendered irresistible to many cats and dogs by the addition of ‘digest’ — a soup of partially dissolved intestines, livers, lungs and miscellaneous viscera of chickens and other animals.

Companion animal diets

Unsurprisingly, therefore, numerous cases indicate that transitioning animals to healthy vegan diets can result in increased overall health and vitality, decreased incidences of cancer, infections, hypothyroidism (a hormonal disease), ectoparasites (fleas, ticks, lice and mites), improved coat condition, allergy control, weight control, decreased arthritis, diabetes regression and even cataract resolution.

Additionally, there are a limited number of more rigorous studies examining the health of populations of cats and dogs maintained on vegetarian or vegan diets, long-term. Wakefield and colleagues (2006) compared the health of 34 cats maintained on vegetarian diets for at least a year, with that of 52 cats maintained on meat-based diets for at least a year. There were no significant differences in age, sex, body condition, housing, or perceived health status, with most cats described as healthy or generally healthy.

These results are hardly surprising, when we consider that animals need specific nutrients, not ingredients. There is no scientific reason why a diet comprised only of plant, mineral and synthetically-based ingredients cannot be formulated to meet all of the palatability, nutritional and bioavailability needs of the species for which it is intended. In fact, several commercially-available vegan diets for cats and dogs aim to do so, and have jointly supported thousands of healthy vegan cats, dogs and ferrets (who are also naturally carnivorous) for many years. Suppliers of such diets are listed here.

However, use of a nutritionally complete and reasonably balanced commercial diet, or a nutritional supplement added to a home-made diet, is essential to avoid nutritional deficiency, and eventually, subsequent disease. Dietary transitions should occur gradually, and I also advise regularly checking urine acidity using pH test strips (from veterinarians, or easy to locate online), or even more accurate pH meters. Vegan diets can result in more alkaline urine, which can result in urinary stones and serious blockages in a small proportion of animals, especially male cats. Advice about urinary monitoring, and dietary additives that can correct urinary alkalinisation if necessary, should all be taken seriously, and is provided here.

For more information on transitioning your companion animals to a vegan-friendly diet, see here. Remember, cats, dogs and ferrets need specific nutrients - not specific ingredients.
