M3A1 “Grease Gun” submachine gun

Designed by George Hyde c.1942 and manufactured by Guide Lamp - General Motors - c.1943~50′s.
.45ACP 30-round magazine, open bolt blowback full automatic, stamped sheet metal construction, hinged bolt dust cover.

Designed to replace the Thompson submachine guns as a cheaper alternative, it failed to enter a big enough production rate to achieve that. It still remained in service until the 1990′s as a vehicle crew weapon.

This is a tier list that’s been made for the playable characters in Fire Emblem Heroes as of February 5th, 2017 (02.05.17) / (05.02.17 for those in Europe and other countries.)

From my understanding, the criteria for the rating of each class was made around each character’s growth rates and overall usefulness in the game’s main campaign. Only characters that can achieve five stars were rated, having been analyzed at their maximum potential.

I myself don’t have access to every unit (yet) so I’m throwing this out there to you guys…

What do you all think? Is this accurate?

Miles has always loved fire.

I know I bring up a lot, but: holy shit,I really admire the consistency of how Zuko talks about his father, and how you can tell on rewatch–even in the first book–that Zuko just wants his father’s love and acceptance, and how he desperately wants to believe that his father actually cares about him.

Literally it’s just:

Person: Your father doesn’t really love you…
Zuko: How DARE you.

(I should really redo that “Zuko talking about his father” post again, or maybe try to gif it)

Also, going bask to that ask I got earlier: this is one reason why you don’t need a higher rating to achieve depth. If Avatar has taught us anything, it’s that even with a TV-Y7 rating, you can tackle everything from the effects of the different types of child abuse on children to the effects of war on both sides of a conflict, and even the idea that there is no good or evil nation and that teachings can be used to achieve both noble and ignoble goals.

Petition: Justin Trudeau: Reinstate the Long-Form Census in time for 2016

In 2010, Steven Harper’s Conservative government scrapped the long-form census.

Arguing it would save the Government money, the Conservatives replaced the 2011 mandatory long-form census with a voluntary National Household Survey. But the National Household Survey had a collection response rate of only 68.6%, significantly lower that the 2006 Census long form that achieved a response rate of 93.8%.

The loss represented by this lower response rate as well as the change in data collection methods is enormous. The information collected by the long-form census is vital to policy makers as well as to academic researchers. Policy makers at all levels use data gathered from the long-form census to plan better programs, such as Employment Insurance, Old Age Security and Canada Pension Plan, and to know more about what infrastructure is needed, from public transit and health care, to child services and education. Without accurate data, the ability of policy makers to make good decisions is seriously compromised.

The long-form census is also of vital importance to Social Science and Humanities Research in Canada. Researchers use census data to track demographic patterns and shifts in the Canadian population; to know more about where we’re coming from and where we’re settling; to shed light on our ethnic, linguistic, racial, and religious make up; to identify disparities in income and education levels, among, for instance, immigrant, second-generation, and aboriginal peoples, and between men and women; and to understand how we think about our identities. Losing the long-form census represents the loss of this key research tool, and compromises the culture of research in Canada.

This year marks the 350th anniversary of the first Canadian census. The newly-elected Liberal Government has promised to restore the long-form census. We ask you to restore the long-form census in time for the 2016 census.
