another fucking ryden masterpost

ok i know we have a lot already but not many are ~complete~ enough ot have been updated recently so yeah! here we go………………………

so as we all know, ryan has a questionable livejournal that he used before panic really became famous. there’s not a whole lot of ryden related stuff in that, but there is some cute stuff

“duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude write about how… wait, nvm. i suck at this. i suck at life. psh, YOU suck. I HATE YOU! haha you know i love ya’ baby! wednesday. practice. be there or be…GAY!” honestly early 2000′s brendon is a treasure.

and another cute post from his lj (that I dont have the screencap for)

“I love my 3 friends to death. we are going to move out and see the country together playing music. I know it.”
ryan on august 8th. 2004.

well he was right!! because soon after Pete Wentz contacted them to try to sign them. you can read the conversation here but here’s the best part:

Pete Wentz (7:48:06 PM): You guys look good. The chicks gonna be swooning?
Ryan Ross (7:48:38 PM): once we get a keyboard player who can do all of the sampling we want to do it will be alot better too. its like we know how we want to sound, but just finding the right way to do it i guess is what we are working on.
Ryan Ross (7:48:40 PM): hahaha
Ryan Ross (7:48:51 PM): i dont know man, we look alright i guess
Ryan Ross (7:48:57 PM): we look young
Pete Wentz (7:49:42 PM): Youngs not abd at all
Pete Wentz (7:49:47 PM): How does the singiner look
Ryan Ross (7:50:05 PM): dead sexy.
Ryan Ross (7:50:41 PM): he’s no pete wentz. but still

So now, we move to 2006. this is where ryden becomes real as hell.

Ryan and Brendon both were dating scene queens (you can see my posts of Brendon and Audrey here and Ryan and Jac here)

The relationships didn’t last too long, and after the couples split the girls both claimed the boys to to be gay together.

There is also a supposedly leaked conversation between the girls where they again claim that R&B (lol) are gay together.

slamcrashp33n: Hi. How big/small is brendon uries penis.
twiggofviolence: About 4.5 hard
twiggofviolence: I feel bad for him
slamcrashp33n: Dude me too.
twiggofviolence: Lets not start humilating rumors for him?
slamcrashp33n: Ahhahaha no way dude.
twiggofviolence: I trust u
slamcrashp33n: No. I trust youuuuu
twiggofviolence: he always wanted to have butt sex I think he might be
bisexual
twiggofviolence: I wouldn’t let him though
twiggofviolence: That’s gnarly
slamcrashp33n: dude fuck yeah. Don’t let him do the flipover on you.
Right?
twiggofviolence: Fuck no
slamcrashp33n: Fuck yeah.
twiggofviolence: Him and ryan probably do now
twiggofviolence: I honestly think there’s something goin on
slamcrashp33n: Dude I’ve been calling that shit from the beginniing
slamcrashp33n: No one believes me!
twiggofviolence: Me too whenever I was on tour I’d wake up and they
would be sitting in the lounge together alone at like 7am
slamcrashp33n: That’s shady as shit. Did you call him on it back then?
twiggofviolence: Yeah he said there just “best friends” but he’d rather
sleep with ryan in the lounge then me sometimes in his bed
twiggofviolence: Go figure
twiggofviolence: I just thought he couldn’t sleep on the bus but now I’m
like wow..
slamcrashp33n: dude I always thought he used you as a cover up.
twiggofviolence: I wouldn’t be surpised
twiggofviolence: Honestly haha
slamcrashp33n: Wow that’s some traumatizing shit.
slamcrashp33n: Yo do you have a british accent?
twiggofviolence: Haha sucks for him more I’d hate to be fmaous and try
and hide that I’m gay
twiggofviolence: Nah
slamcrashp33n: Dude if he’s gay then he should be proud. Wellll all of
his 11 yr old followers wouldn’t be fans anymore so I guess I see why he
hies it
slamcrashp33n: Hidesss
twiggofviolence: Haha yeha he’s probaly embaressed since all him fans
are so younge they would be confused
slamcrashp33n: They probably wouldn’t even know what gay was
twiggofviolence: True
slamcrashp33n: Dude jac didn’t answer when I asked her about ryan. Do
you know?
twiggofviolence: Hahaha nope no clue
slamcrashp33n: I bet brendon knows hahhaa
twiggofviolence: Oh duh
slamcrashp33n: Okay I’m off. Thanks for the info.
twiggofviolence: Have fun tell everyone u know
twiggofviolence: Haha
slamcrashp33n: Hhhahah yeah I figured you didn’t really care about
humiliating rumors

so that brings us to the most important event in recorded history ever! summer of 2006!

First off, a ridiculously important interview Greta Salpeter from the Hush Sound did after they toured with panic:

Q: Tell us about your craziest touring experience.

On the 2006 Panic Tour, we played the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach [JUNE 24TH]. After the show, most of the bands and crew walked a mile to the beach and, having not brought our swimsuits, decided to swim in underwear or totally nude. Bob and I opted to skinny dip and, at one point, he was trying to get back to the shore but the waves were crashing over him and he was gasping for breath. I yelled to him, ‘Bob, are you going to live? As much as I want to help you, we are both naked so I can’t.’ (Would have been far too awkward). Thankfully, he survived in one glorious piece.

The next night, Ryan made this infamous entry on his livejournal:

6-25-06 01:21:28 PDT - (No Subject)

The moon bred new Atlantic life tonight.the salt burned you right out of my eyes.and secrets we’re not proud of were taken with the tide. We were all newborns with blurred vision and no sense of direction.

Today I saw cancer, cigarettes and shortness of breath.
this is why I walk to the ocean.swim with jellyfish.I may never get this chance again.
this is why if you want to kiss you should kiss.
If you want to cry you should cry, and
if you want to live you should live.
You don’t have to love me. You already did. At least enough to keep me smiling from South Carolina to Virginia.it’s for lovers (orjustfriends)
This is why I do it.

Then Dream, one of the dancers who was on tour with them at the time, also wrote this in her journal:

June 24th, 2006
It’s our last night in Florida and let me tell you… this finally turned into a crazy rock tour… lots of shenanigans happened tonight… but I’ll save this story for the memoirs! Every night I stand on stage and tell the crowd that Brendon is a virgin… let’s just put it this way… it ain’t true!!!!

(Here’s a cute video where Brendon looks good as hell and Ryan says he’s no longer a virgin)

Then, the end of summer. Panic play an iconic show at the MTV VMAs at the end of August (a video for anyone who hasn’t seen.) This is where Ryan meets Keltie who becomes his girlfriend for a while.

2007 comes and passes and not a lot happens, as they were away (fucking) in a cabin and writing Pretty. Odd. However, something important did happen!!

Ryan’s 21st birthday. His party was in New York City

Brendon wasn’t in NYC at the time, he was in rainy Seattle (important!!!). After the party, Ryan flew out to Seattle (apparently not warming Keltie).

*scooby doo villain voice* and he would’ve gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for those darn fan pics!

(I couldn’t find the original picture I’m sorry to whoever this fan, this hero is)

This event is believed to be the inspiration to Northern Downpour (Seattle is rainy and in the north… ryden is real) The song also had the lyrics,

I missed your skin when you were east,

You clicked your heels and wished for me.

Ryan was in the east coast….. anyway………

finally, 2008. Good year for ryden.

First off, here’s something from on Dylan Urie’s (Brendon and Shane’s dog) myspace:

Aug 11, 2008 7:33 PM
Subject:  awaking from summer dreams is never easy,
Body:  but being awoken makes it so much worse.

as summer comes to an end we lose and gain so much.
summer lovers become part time lovers, then slowly fade to just a simple memory.
maybe it’s not so simple to some of us, though.
maybe we can’t just forget at the first leaf of autumn.
maybe we remember every detail until our last breath of air.
maybe we really aren’t okay when asked.
maybe we’re holding on, as we watch them let go.

sometimes, it is quite apparent that our “significant other” doesn’t feel the same.
we deal, because we know that there has to be something there.

a twinkle in an eye. a shock when we kiss. whatever it is, it’s there.
and maybe one day they’ll notice it too.

you know, i’ve never really liked days off.
they make me think too much.

it’s time to start loving to live, not living to love.
we can only give so much without anything in return.

this was pretty much just something i completely made up because i wanted to say i had a totally awesome summer.
then again, maybe it’s not so fictional for most of us after all?
summer’s almost over kiddos.
time to get back to filling those brains of yours’ with knowledge or maybe just nonsense with a degree.

stay smart,
xo

You’ll start to notice that in several of both Ryan and Brendon’s lyrics (even now), they repeatedly refer to “living in a dream” or things along that line. (if you look back to the poem posted on Dylan’s myspace, the subject line reads “awaking from summer dreams are never easy.”)

Finally, in March 2008, Pretty. Odd. is released. the most important album of all time. The album had repeated references to the ocean (where ryden supposedly has sex), the summer, and dreams.

Northern Downpour “we should feed our jewelry to the sea
When the Day Met the Night. “in the middle of summer”
Behind the Sea (self explanatory)
Folkin’ Around “Allow me to exaggerate a memory or two Where summers lasted longer than Longer than we do”
She Had the World “Throwing a line out to sea To see if I can catch a dream”
From a Mountain in the Middle of the Cabins “Watch love get strangled by a kite’s cold strings Fall comes early and summer leaves As a storm with the car keys”
She’s a Handsome Woman “Reverie” is another word for dream.
Northern Downpour “If all our life is but a dream”
Behind the Sea “A daydream spills from my corked head”
She Had the World “Throwing a line out to sea to see if I can catch a dream

Also something I noticed as I was looking through these lyrics (I noticed a lot but this is the only one where I’m not reaching too hard) in That Green Gentleman, these are the lyrics:

Little deaths in musical beds.
So it seems I’m someone I’ve never met.

You will only hear these elegant crimes,
Fall on your ears from criminal dimes.
They spill unfound from a pretty mouth.

The word for orgasm is French translates into “little death.” I interperet the second verse to talking about when Jac and Audrey revealed Ryden, but thats just me.

Another thing that becomes important is references to the sun/moon. Most people consider Brendon to be the sun and Ryan to be the moon. Even today they still talk about this.

Also, there is many instances of Pretty. Odd. lyrics referencing a gay poet, Arthur Rimbaud.

Mas as Rabbits: We must reinvent love.

AR: I don’t like women, love must be reinvented, that’s for certain.

She’s a Hansome Woman: I wasn’t born to be a skeleton

AR: I wasn’t born to be a skeleton.

Behins the Sea: Yes, we’re all too smart to talk to God.

AR: Does he talk to God? Perhaps I myself should go talk to God.

Mad as Rabbits:  Preached the devil in the belfry

Also, just for bonus, I added in two of my fave ryden pictures of all time…..

in which ryans shirt button gets fucked up and Brendon’s shirt comes off… anyway….. here’s another picture (I’m trying to keep this as picture-free as possible because I know it makes it super hard on mobile users)

I am loving Ryan’s Brendon bracelet!

Another random thing: Spencer and Jon did an interview with out.com and had this to say:

Walker: And what’s the problem if Ryan and Brendon were actually dating, you know? There’s not really any problem with that.
Smith: Because they might be.

So now, 2009. The end of Ryden.

Ryan and Jon left in July and there’s no more ryden. Now, we just have to use songs released by everyone’s side projects to get our Ryden fix (and there is so much……….)

The Young Veins (2010)

CAPE TOWN!: You asked me if I meant everything I said that night, I didn’t./I loved you, I left you, I lost you in Cape Town. (also: the last pre-split panic show was in Cape Town)

Maybe I Will, Maybe I Won’t:  Will you come visit me, finally finding sleep, we’ll swim around in dreams, stay afloat

Everyone But You:  She comes to me when I dream, I’m tired of counting sheep to see her, I sleep because I need her.

Dangerous Blues:  All I do is lie by the ocean side/Even the tide gets high at night.

Lie to the Truth: I know I broke your heart, mine is broken too. Now if we’re even, why are we both blue?

Panic! at the Disco

(2011)

Memories:  When they decided they would try to make it on their own/When July became December, their affection fought the cold. But they couldn’t quite remember, what inspired them to go.

Trade Mistakes:  I may never sleep tonight as long as you’re still burning bright. If I could trade mistakes for sheep, count me away before you sleep. I’ll stay awake till I trade my mistakes or they fade away.

The Calender (confirmed to be about the split):  Put another X on the calendar, summer’s on its deathbed. There is simply nothing worse than knowing how it ends. And I meant everything I said that night. (last lyrics is a response to Cape Town)

Nearly Witches:  Matching set of marching clocks, the slumbering apparitions that they’ve come to wake up. (clearly referencing behind the sea)

(2013)

Vegas Lights:  Oh, if you only knew what we’ve been up to, I guarantee you’d keep it secret. So give it to me now, we’re lost in a dream now

(2015)

Hallelujah:  The time for being sad is over and you miss him like you miss no other, and being blue is better than being over it. (a response to Ryan’s question in Lie to the Truth)

Ryan Ross (2014)

Where I Belong: I know I should’ve never left, I’d gotten tired of being buried.

Lonely Moonlight: I’m not even going to decipher this the name is enough

So that’s the gist of it! I made this whole thing in five hours and by the time I finished it was 2am so forgive my typos. ryden is real

Noob from Japan

A Cyborg-Bunny short story for @albanananana

I thought maybe you could use a “pick-me-upper” 💕

Hana set down her controller, shutting off the game she’d been playing. She just wasn’t in the mood to play today. She didn’t feel like doing anything at all. Something was on her mind, and it had been eating at her for days. Every time she logged on, he wasn’t there.

Genji…

She’d met him online a few months ago. He was a noob from Japan. She loved to tease him about how bad he was, but he accepted the teasing and was eager to learn from her. She tried to push him away at first but he was very insistent on having her attention. She thought it was cute.

Then, their first webcam call. After many talks inside their group chat in game, they’d grown to like one another and were anxious to see what the other looked like. She was so nervous, her cheeks blushing. She didn’t pick up his call right away. Her heart was pounding as she let the call ring several times. Finally, after taking a deep breath, she clicked on the green button, answering the call.

She smiled like a dork, giving him a peace sign with her fingers.

“Hiya.” She spoke first.

“Yo.” He replied. His Japanese accent melting her to pieces.

His smile was so handsome. He also had green hair, which she thought was really cute, considering his age. He was much older than her by sixteen years. At first she was nervous, feeling as though she had no business getting involved with an older man but after she’d seen war and fought in it at such a young age, she felt like she was grown enough to make such choices.

“You are so beautiful, Hana.” He spoke again, making her blush even more.

She quickly hung the call, embarrassed. She lifted her knees to her chest and buried her head in them.

“What am I doing?” She questioned herself aloud.

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

He was calling again. She looked up at the screen, unsure of what to do.

A message popped up in the chat.

“I ᴀᴍ sᴏʀʀʏ, Hᴀɴᴀ. I I ᴍᴀᴅᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴇᴇʟ ᴜɴᴄᴏᴍᴏʀᴛᴀʙʟᴇ. He wrote.

She bit her lip and began to type back a reply.

“Yᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ sᴜᴄʜ ᴀ ɴᴏᴏʙ.” She teased him, masking her nervousness with a joke.

“Pᴇʀʜᴀᴘs :P” He replied with a tongue-out emoticon.

She smiled and hit the call button. He picked up on the first ring.

“I’m sorry, Hana.” He frowned.

“It’s okay, I still love you.” She said without thinking her words through. She gasped, covering her mouth.

She couldn’t believe she said it aloud. She could feel her face blushing crimson.

He smiled a big grin and scratched his head, also blushing slightly himself.

“And I love you, Hana.” He confessed.

His reply threw her off. She felt numb, like she couldn’t move or speak.

Though in two different countries and never seeing each other in person, they’d both grown to love each other’s personalities. It wasn’t hard to do. He was always so sweet to her, even when she was mean to him.

But that call was the last time she saw him….

Hana popped a piece of bubblegum in her mouth, and began to chew it furiously, attempting to settle her nerves. She needed something to distract her. Leaving her dorm room of the Overwatch facility, her hands shoved in the pockets of her sweatshirt, she took the stairs down to the ground floor where she kept her Mech.

Walking to her Mech she stood there for a minute, staring at it. Her intention was to make a few repairs but as she stood there, she became more angry. She picked up a wrench from the toolbox and chucked it as hard as she could at the mech. Tears swelled up in her eyes.

“Was that necessary?” Soldier 76 said from across the room.

She hadn’t realized anyone was there. She looked over to him, her emotions overtaking her, she began to break down. Her tears spilling over her cheeks, she sobbed, letting out all her frustration she had been holding in for days. She watched with teary, blurred vision as Jack began to approach her. Without any hesitation, she threw herself against him, hugging him tight, burying her her face in his chest. She felt him tense for a moment, but then his arms were around her.

“What’s wrong, Hana?” He asks her, his voice quiet.

She didn’t want to talk about it. She just wanted to be held. She let out a few more sobs before stepping back and wiping her nose with the sleeve of her sweatshirt.

An alarm sounded over the intercom, just then.

“Emergency. Help needed in the med bay.” Athena’s voice spoke.

Jack immediately began to run in the direction of the med bay, Hana followed close behind. It was unusual for the med bay to need help. She wondered who had gotten badly injured. As they entered the med bay, Angela’s arms and hands were covered in blood, as well as the entire front of her clothes. She was leaned over a man, unrecognizable. Hana tried to get a closer look, wondering who it was. The man’s face was badly deformed and the rest of his body was practically ripped to shreds. Hana gasped, losing all the breath that she had in her lungs.

Green hair…

“Genji!” She screamed, and began to run towards the man but Soldier 76 grabbed her, holding her back.

Everyone was trying to help Angela get Genji stabilized. The heart monitor kept flat lining every few seconds.

“Stay with us.” Angela kept repeating to Genji as she tried to stop him from bleeding out further.

Hana stared at Genji’s hand, dangling over the table as blood dripped onto the floor. She felt so numb, she’d lost all reason to cry.

Angela managed to get a tube down his throat and connected him to a life support unit. His heart rate began to stabilize as the machine breathed for him. Everyone in the med bay managed to help stop the bleeding. Angela patched up what she could. Using her staff, she began to heal him, though with his condition it wouldn’t do much but heal his wounds.

“It’s going to take a lot more to save this man.” She looked to Jack with worry in her eyes.

Jack looked to Hana, and placed his hands on her shoulders.

“I think it’s best if you go get some rest. We’ll do our best to save him.” He assured her.

Though Jack and everyone else were unsure of how Hana knew the man who laid practically lifeless on the table, they all seemed to sense her pain.

Hana nodded, still feeling numb. She slowly left the med bay.

Days went by, and Hana was restless. She would spend hours at Genji’s side, holding his hand while Dr. Ziegler came up with a plan to help him. She would hear whispers in the hall. She kept hearing the word “Cyborg.” Were they to turn him into a Cyborg in order to save his life? Hana didn’t care as long as she had him back.

Hana still hadn’t worked up the nerve to ask Angela what had happened and how they found him. She wasn’t sure if she even wanted to know. As she was lost in thought, she felt Genji’s hand move.

“Genji?” She stood up, still holding his hand.

He peaked open his eyes a little. He was unable to speak, with the tube in his throat, but his facial expression told her that he recognized her.

“Genji…” Tears swelled in her eyes.

She felt his hand squeeze hers, but then he drifted off again. She allowed her tears to spill over her cheeks. She ran into the hallway where Angela was speaking with Soldier 76.

“He opened his eyes! Please, you have to do something!” She begged Angela.

“We’re doing everything we can, Hana.” Angela assured her.

Jack pulled Hana aside.

“Angela is working on a suit that will help stabilize him. He’ll be able to operate better than before.” He explained.

“What do you mean?”

“The suit will improve his abilities. He’ll be able to function better.”

Hana looked back to the med bay, unsure if she liked the idea. But since it would save his life, she accepted it.

After a couple weeks, Angela was able to remove Genji’s life support unit. He had healed enough to be able to breath on his own. As he woke up, Hana was by his side, holding his hand like she had been every day since he arrived.

“Hana…” He spoke with a raspy voice. Most likely due to the tube being in his throat for so long.

She sat on the edge of his bed, and ran her fingers through his hair gently. He closed his eyes, enjoying her touch.

“Dr. Ziegler has made a suit for you to wear.” Hana explained, looking down with a frown on her face. “She said it will help you function better…”

Genji reached up with a weak hand and touched her cheek softly. Hana reached up to touch his hand, holding it to her face.

“What happened to you?” She asks, trying not to let herself cry.

Genji took a deep breath and shook his head. He didn’t want to tell her.

“Who did this to you?” She yelled.

“My…brother…” He managed to speak out.

Hana’s heart felt like it broke in two and fell into the pit of her stomach. How could his brother do such a thing?

Angela entered the room with pieces of his suit in her arms. She laid them down on a table with a huff.

“I’ve built you a suit Genji. It will allow you to function all your limbs properly and also improve your mobility.”

Angela spent a couple hours piecing the parts over his body, and making sure they worked well. She’d ask him to move his arms, legs, fingers, ankles, knees, and elbows. Once she was sure it was good to go, she smiled to him warmly.

“You’re good to go, Genji.”

“Thank you, Doctor. Ziegler.” He bowed to her, placing his hands together. “I will not waste this opportunity.” He paused. “I will be forever grateful.”

“You’re very welcome, Genji. We are happy to have you with us.”

Hana didn’t realize until that point that Genji would be working with them now that Overwatch and Angela worked to save his life.

Genji walked over to Hana, his Cyborg suit completely pieced together, he lifted up his face shield, revealing his scarred face, and warm brown eyes.

“So it looks like we’ll be working together, Hana” He said raising his hand to make a peace sign. His eyes squinting, as he smiled beneath his mask.

Hana didn’t say anything. She wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head against his cold, metal armor. He accepted her hug and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

Whether he was a noob from Japan, or looked like an xbox, she didn’t care, as long as he was at her side.

The End! 💕

Feel better soon, Al banana 😘

Hola! Puedes aconsejarme algunas series de Tv para practicar mi español? Compriendo bastante bien ( los dibujos animados son muy fácil para mí ) pero creo que es mejor practicar más! Saludo desde Italia !!

hello! I don’t really watch tv at all but I’ve done some research and I found some tv shows that you might like. (I’ve never watched them though lol)

  • GÜEROS

Leading into slightly more experimental (but thrilling) territory, Güeros is both a scathing critique of the Mexican film industry and the youthful naïveté of student protests. After a young boy is sent to live with his older, equally good-for-nothing brother as punishment, the pair fall into a series of scrapes and misadventures that make little-to-no sense but have very much to say about Mexico’s present-day progressive and arts communities.

A touch of the absurd never hurt anyone, and the film carefully incorporates fantastical elements (like when a friend is bleeding in the backseat, the car is filling with chicken feathers instead of blood) to lighten its heavy critique on classicism, sexism and racism. Just don’t hurl the film’s title at anyone, it’s an insult meaning light-skinned elitism and cluelessness.

  • SPANIARDS IN LONDON

This is the first Spanish web series produced in the UK. Spaniards in London is about five Spaniards trying to start a new life in the UK. The episodes are focused on their experiences learning English and finding housing, jobs and new friends, all the while-while trying to keep in touch with their loved ones back in Spain. You can watch the episodes here: http://spaniardsinlondon.com/

Language specifications: This web series is perfect for beginners, since it will help you to develop your comprehension skills. I found it particularly useful because each episode has dialogues in Spanish and English (50/50). The show also has English subtitles when the characters are speaking in Spanish and vice versa, so you will not be completely lost. If your Spanish level isn’t that great, the subtitles are a great plus. You can practice your pronunciation and grammar by memorizing the dialogues.

  • YO SOY BETTY LA FEA

This telenovela was added to the Guinness Book of World Records in 2010 as the most successful TV series of all time. Yo soy Betty La fea is one of the most famous Spanish TV shows of all time.  It was broadcasted in 180 countries, and 28 adaptations of it have been made around the world. One of the most popular is the American version ‘Ugly Betty’ produced by actress Salma Hayek. The story is about Beatriz Pinzón, an intelligent young woman who recently obtained her master’s degree and is on the hunt for a job. Eventually, she becomes the personal assistant to the CEO of Ecomoda, a leading fashion retail company. She is overqualified for this job but takes in on nonetheless after being rejected at previous interviews, since potential employers chose more attractive candidates over her. To be honest, Beatriz is not a “pretty” woman, but she is sweet and truthful. For that reason, her sexist boss and coworkers demean her throughout each episode.

Language specifications: This series is geared towards intermediate and upper-intermediate learners. It’s a great way to learn some vocabulary related to the workplace and the fashion industry. The characters don’t have strong accents, and they don’t speak much slang either. You can watch Yo soy Betty la fea on youtube

  • THE PRINCESS OF FRANCE

This 2015 charmer perhaps stars one of the smallest cast lists you’ll find on Netflix. The Princess of France is about a small theater group as they recreate Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour Lost. The director becomes enamored with a number of the women in his cast and, surprise, drama ensues.

From its unconventional orchestral beginnings to various loving close-ups of fine art, Argentinian filmmaker Matías Piñeiro looks to mix the business of creating art with the pleasure of how we experience it. Considering the movie’s brief 75 minute runtime, it’s an impressive amount of attention paid to details outside the characters.

  • LES LUTHIERS

Les Luthiers (French for musical instrument makers) are a very well-known Latin American music and comedy group. These guys are a class act, and their numerous Spanish TV shows are full of refined humor and musical skits. Hence their name, they play a homemade instrument each episode, in homage to their fictional character, Johann Sebastian Mastropiero. Sadly, Mastropiero lacks any real musical talent. Sad as it may be, Mastropiero’s failures are a spring of inspiration for the group. The guys poke fun at him in their acts, and it eventually leads them to world recognition and fame.

Johnny looks down at his plate with pursed lips and unblinking eyes, trying to avoid the narrowed eyed look from across the table, coming from Meena’s grandfather. Meena’s mother insisted on inviting Johnny over for dinner as a silent apology for the misunderstanding for the two’s last hanging out, from his understanding Meena had been basically on house arrest by her grandfather for the past week, so to say he was happy to see her was an understatement. He looked up quickly across the table to catch Meena’s eye, she smiled at him and he smiled at her back, but it was caught off by a brief cough by her grandfather.

“So,” Johnny says quietly to himself, “thank you, for inviting me to dinner.” He says out loud looking over at Meena’s mother.

“Oh it’s was no trouble sweetie.” She smiles at him.

“Well it certainly is delicious.” He chuckles back.!

“You know, Meena did help around in the kitchen, she’s a fabulous cook.” She points to her daughter with her fork.

“I didn’t do too much-”

“Oh but I’m sure you help a lot-”

“Sometimes, but I did make the made the sauce.”

“The sauce is fantastic.” Johnny says with a warm smile, Meena returns it.

“Thank yo-”

“What accent is that?” Her grandfather asks interrupting the two, they both look over at him.

“Pardon?” Johnny asks, not quite sure of his question.

“Your accent, where is it from?” He asks again.

“Dad.” Meena’s mother says with a scolding tone and looks at him with a pointed look.

“I’m just asking.” He says waving her off with his hand and looks to the gorilla with waiting narrowed eyes.

“It’s, uh, a cockney accent, I grew up with it so I naturally picked it up from my dad.” Johnny says as he scooped a bit of mashed potatoes into his mouth.

“Hm, your father huh?” Johnny nods. “And where’s he from?”

“East End of London, he grew up there.” Johnny smiles with tight lips.

“Oh, he grew up there, why’d he leave?” Meena’s grandfather asks with mock curiosity.

Johnny thinks back to the stories he’s heard about the “old days” and how it was the best time, they were kings of their own company. They ruled the area, never been caught and they had everything, money, drugs, women, and power. At least that’s how his uncle ld explained it to him. Eventually though, all good things come to an end and they had to hightail it out of the country.

“Uh, family business.” Johnny looks around before his simple answer.

“And what kind of business.” The grandfather says pushing around his peas.

“Oh,” Johnny looks up at Meena, she shrugs, “you know, it’s like a goods and services trading thing. I never really understood it much myself.” Johnny explains quickly.

“Interesting.”

“That sounds exciting.” The oldest female in the family of elephants speaks, she’s been sitting there silently saying nothing for the whole meal, only listening.

“Well,” Johnny says surprised from the sudden sound of the elder woman’s voice, “thank you.”

“Your welcome.” She smiles at him and turns to Meena and whispers quiet loudly. “He’s a good one.” She then proceeds to wink making Meena blush, bringing her ears to her face

“Alrighty then.” Meena’s mother gets up abruptly. “I’m going to wash up the dishes,” she turns to the grandmother, “Mom, a word.” The older woman rolls her eyes as she follows.

“I don’t-” Meena begins, but is interrupted by her mother’s voice.

“What are you doing?” She asks very loudly.
Hoping being in the kitchen would hide their voice, but so far nothing.

“Nothing.” Granny says nonchalantly as she begins to wash some dishes to keep herself busy. “I just think that Meena’s a very pretty and young girl, I don’t think she should be stuck in the house all day with us, she should be out experiencing things.”
Meena groans slightly putting her face in her hands, her elbows on the table.

“Would you leave her be.” Meena’s mother insists. “If she wants to go out dating someone ‘exotic’ she will in her own time, we don’t need to pressure her.”

“No.” Meena whisper yells to herself.

Johnny blushes instantly at the words looking down at his dinner plate, not wanting to look up, as to save the embarrassment for both him and Meena.

“I’ll be right back.” Grandpa says determined as he walks with his cane to the kitchen. “What in the Samhell are you talking about.” He doesn’t even try to hide his voice. “Meena’s too young for this kind of talk.”

“Oh come on dad.” Meena’s mother rolls her eyes. “We all know about Rodney and how that lasted a while,” Johnny takes a quick look up at Meena before looking back down, “Meena is not too young.”

“Plus I think he’s nice.” Granny says drying a plate lovingly.

“Nice? Rachel, may I remind you how he corrupted our sweet granddaughter just the other week.” She waves him off.

“Oh no.” Johnny puts his hand into his palm.
Meena puts her head down and her arms around, hoping to disappear. “Dear god, please just swallow me whole.” She barely whispers.

“Oh hush,” Granny says, “Meena explained to us they all just fell asleep watching movies.” She waves him off.

“You and I both know what that’s code for, for today’s kids.” Grandpa squints at her.

The adults continue to talk/argue amongst themselves in the kitchen, while the two teens in the dining room slowly pass away from embarrassment.

“I’m just saying she might be into the hair being everywhere kind of situation.” Meena’s mother’s voice stands out the most.

Meena shoots up from her seat and heads over into the kitchen, Johnny watches her with hope, hope that this embarrassment will soon be over, she stands in the doorway making sure a loud stomp could be heard, her relatives look over at her.

“Johnny is very tired and I’m sure he would like to go home now,” Meena looks over at Johnny quickly, “right Johnny.” She looks at him waiting.

“Um, yeah, uh sure, mhm.” Johnny jumbles together caught off guard a bit, he stands from the table quickly. “Uh, Rosita might be waiting on me, but everything was delicious.” He smiles.

“Oh of course.” Meena’s mother says sweetly to him. “Glad to have you over anytime.”

“Or you should consider staying over here and just, uh, not ever leaving” Meena’s grandmother mumbles.

“What?” Johnny asks confused

“Nothing.” Meena interrupts, with a small glare. “I’ll walk you out.” She says walking towards the doorway.

“Yep, hm, yep, thank you.” Johnny says still flustered from all that’s happened over the course of the dinner as he heads to the door.

Meena decides their safest bet is to walk him to his car.

“I’m sorry, my family’s a bit much sometimes.” Meena hides behind her ears embarrassed.

“It’s ok, I kinda get how it is.” Johnny shrugs it off and looks up from looking at the ground to see Meena hiding behind her ears. “Hey,” Johnny gently takes hold of her ears and moves them slightly from her face, “don’t worry about it.” He smiles at her, she gives a sheepish smile back.

“I won’t.”

A Game of Thrones - readalong - part 1 (spoilers beware)

So, I thought I’ll get down all my thoughts here while doing the ASOIAF readalong. The books are lengthy and I have never had the courage to start on my own (despite being able to finish off quartet-size series in a weekend) and now I finally do. Today, I finally started it - I have both the audiobook and ebook of the first, so I thought of reading the audiobook during the day while I’m at work and skimming through the ebook at night (or later) to catch up on any names/terms/references that I missed (which I do because that accent is hard, yo). Also, I get to summarise my thoughts for the parts I read so far, which will hopefully help me write a review for this mammoth of a book when it is done (because at this rate, it is going to take DAYS to finish this)

Now, today, I got through till Chapter 14 (roughly 5 hours of audio book out of 33 hours) - 15% of the book.

The Dinner

okay boom i came here with a story-time because i was conflicted with my feelings and i’m just all over the place this past weekend

Me and my friends went to Korea town to get some Korean BBQ (mind you this is there first time trying Korean food and i wanted to show them how its done cause you know ya girl tried it so much) So today i dressed extra cute and stylish cause why not you never know what might happen *wink*.We enter the restaurant and it was a very friendly environment we was greeted with  smiles as we walked in and seated at our tables.

The way the restaurant is setup is that there are a very few tables in the front and theirs an open staircase going to the second floor, a large mirror next to us and like 7 feet away from us was this  place where they make drinks but it had like a tinted window but i can very much see if someone next to the glass window . so any way the waiter came and he looked like he was in his late thirties early 40 but not that old so he took our orders and when i order the kimichi soup he was like that's a very good choice and in my mind i’m like  yeah i know my Korean food haha .

so little bit after i didn't notice the  younger Korean waiter who was in his 20"s good looking and tall hehe ,he came to our table and i guess the older waiter didn't take my friends drink so when he came to our table  i guess to fill our water cups my friend ask him for her drink and he brought it back(i regret not paying attention to him then aigoo so i would've noticed him more aigoooo ) so me and my friends where having a good time chatting up a storm laughing our butts off cause they was madd funny i notice some of the workers staring at us (some workers were Korean and others were Mexican) i guess b/c we were the only black girls in the front and we were talking .

the food comes out and i notice the young waiter was staring at me from the tinted window i guess he thought i couldn’t see him he was looking a little longer  but i guess he noticed and looked away ,so anyways i continued eating my food and it made me realize did he look at me more times from the tinted window cause if he did i would’ve been embarrassed the way i was eating was not girly cause all i cared was about was the food ya girl was HUNGRY.(ps we was took a LONG time at the restaurant idk why though)

He then went up the stairs to second floor (cries) and i didn’t see him in for a good minute but when he came down we locked eyes and omg his facially express when he was walking down the stairs very slowly  was like a predator staring at his pray i started to feel hot and looked  away y'all he done snatch my scalp i was gone with the wind

after that little scene me and friends were wrapping up so i decided to teach my girls Korean (I’ve been learning since last summer  self studying i know the basic but i’m not fluent and my pronunciation is bad   ) i taught  them  phrases for Korean restaurant here(yo gi yo) and they called the cute waiter he came over and my friend was what does (yo gi yo ) mean and he was like (yo gi yo ) means here in his sexy korean accent he then picked our dishes  and left

when he came back  he was near us but just standing by our table i taught  my friends how to say thank you but they asked  the cute waiter  again how to say thank you and after that he walked like one foot away from us and  i explained  more to  friends saying that’s the formal way to speak to him it since hes older and stuff and i peeped he stopped and listen i didn’t dare to look cause he was right next to me like arm length later my friend said that he was smiling at me like a smirk kind of thing  ahhhh i was so happy when i found out so anyway when we was getting ready to leave he was staring at me in the mirror and i just melted inside.

i really want to go back to that restaurant again but i hate going to places  constantly i felt like you should go to the same restaurant like once every 2 months …but i really want to go back since next month is my birthday maybe i should back there haha  and ohh i tried looking for his ig but no luck

idk what to do i cant keep him off my mind helppp

KM & BW: Slip him your info on a piece of paper and see if he contacts you! ^_^ Maybe that would work!

I don't know if anyone has ever asked you this before... but do you have a hc about what the dream pack's first names are?

ooh! in fact i do!

it’s canon that skov’s full name is blake skovron - maggie shared a little snippet on her tumblr from trk where he was mentioned. (i can’t actually find that snippet right now, but i swear to you, it’s out there).

i think a good name for swan would be gabriel, because when he was born, his mother thought he was a message from god, her little angel, her miracle. and with his spanish accent, he pronounces it with a long “a” sound - like gahh-bree-el, and it just. has such a nice ring to it. gabriel swan. mhm mhmm.

for proko, i’ve always liked the name viktor. i think it goes nicely together - viktor prokopenko, or vik proko, if you’re feeling lazy. of course, it means victorious, and from my searches, i’ve found that prokopenko means conqueror, so. his name would mean victorious conqueror, which… i feel like is kinda suiting, considering (thanks to k) he “conquered” death… (though @spaceytears and i have discussed him being named thomas/tommy, which is also cute af. lil tommy proko.)

and then jiang - i think a good full name for him could be jiang jae-woo. i stole that given name from a former classmate who, in retrospect, reminds me a lot of how i imagine jiang, so it works out nicely. sometimes k will holler it in his jersey accent - “yo jaewoo! hurry the fuck up!” - and it’s always enough to get jiang moving, even if he’s only hurrying so that he can punch kavinsky in the shoulder more quickly.

New City, New Friends- A Jack J/ Sammy Wilk Imagine (Requested)

Y/N POV

Of course my first day in Los Angeles and I was already lost in the city, that was a complete 180 from my hometown of London. Not to mention the weather was ten times better, the people seemed friendly, the shops were cute and the food placed I passed by looked heavenly.

I rummaged through my bag to find my phone so I could google map my way to Urban Outfitters. Moving to a new city, better yet country called for some new clothes.

“Fuck.” I muttered when I noticed my phone had just died, luckily I packed my charger. I glanced to my left and noticed a Starbucks. I figured I could sip on an iced coffee while I waited for my phone to charge.

I waited on the long line, as I couldn’t help but overhear the boys behind me, their accents were so distinct and very sexy. I always had a thing for American accents. They were talking about some party they went to the night before. By the sounds of it, they seemed to enjoy theirselves.

A few minutes later, it was finally my turn to order.

“Hi, could I get a grande caramel iced coffee with skim milk please.”

As I was speaking I could tell the guys behind me heard my accent.

“Yo do you hear that, she’s British. Her accent is amazing.” One of them whispered to the other.

“Shes probably gorgeous.” The other whispered back.

I paid the barista and turned around smirking at the two boys who were both beautiful.

“I’m British, not deaf.” I said as I turned my back and headed to the pick up section.

Before the two boys could reach me, my iced coffee was ready and I found a seat with a nearby outlet.

I sipped on the refreshing drink and scrolled through my notifications until I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I looked up to see the two boys, who were both blonde.

“Hey, um we just wanted to apologize about earlier. We didn’t mean to offend you, it’s just that we travel a lot and England is one of our favorite places.” The shorter of the two said.

“Don’t worry about it, I’ve been having an awful day. I didn’t mean to snap at you guys.” I said.

“What’s been so awful about today?” Asked the taller one as they joined me and sat down.

“See, I just moved here literally yesterday and this city confuses the heck out of me. I can’t even find Urban Outfitters.” I explained.

“Well we can help you out. You seem chill and your British which means you’re automatically cool. I’m Jack by the way and this Sam.” Said Jack.

“You’d help me out? But you don’t know me.” I said stunned.

“Like Jack said, you seem chill. Plus you’re new to L.A so its obligatory that we help you out.” Sam told me.

“Well that’s really nice of you guys. I’m Y/N, by the way.” I said introducing myself.

“Welcome to the U.S Y/N, you’re gonna love it!” Jack told me.

I smiled as I thought to myself, with guys like these around me I was already loving the States. It was almost a blessing that I got lost and my phone died today!
