I REALIZE THIS IS LONG BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS:

AC4H has been under FBI investigation for QUITE some time now. Still, my riding instructor and good friend Kelle has rescued TEN horses from them, this Belgian mare “Blondie” would make eleven. All of whom have made WONDERFUL lesson horses and that is the only reason she continued getting them through AC4H.

You can read the comments and posts and see that Kelle took ownership of the horse Nov. 10th and was shipped to a QT barn on the 11th. AC4H DOES NOT HAVE POSSESSION OF HER. Yet they claim she is once again available to be saved on Nov. 15th? THEY ARE RUNNING A SCAM. There was no check. She was purchased through donations and money was sent via paypal. HER HOME DID NOT FALL THROUGH. ALL OF US ARE ANXIOUSLY AWAITING HER ARRIVAL.

I’M NOT SAYING DON’T RESCUE HORSES PLEASE DO BUT ALSO PLEASE BE CAREFUL IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE AC4H

So let’s talk for a minute about AC4H…

Its not a real rescue. Not even close.

A legitimate rescue wouldn’t be under investigation for conspiracy and wire fraud.

A legitimate rescue wouldn’t be investigated by the FBI. The FBI were asking for victims of the rip off who had received the wrong horse, or a misrepresented horse, or who had paid for a horse and just plain old never received one (happens all the time with AC4H btw…) to get in touch with one of their agents

A legitimate rescue wouldn’t post videos of their available horses with a BLOATED HORSE CARCASS sitting next to a burn pit in the background! (Sources and the video HERE and HERE)

A legitimate rescue wouldn’t post a video of a CLEARLY lame horse (head bobbing…) and then try to pass it off by saying, “oh maybe he is gaiting”

*A legitimate rescue doesn’t post horses that aren’t at risk for being slaughtered anyway and say “if they don’t get homed they will go to slaughter!” According to THIS post, oftentimes grey horses won’t be accepted by slaughter plants because of the high risk for melanomas. The post also points out that slaughter plants usually don’t want minis either, but AC4H posts TONS of them every week, claiming that they will ship to slaughter if no one buys them! Obviously a slaughter plant does not want an emaciated or sick horse or pregnant horse, but many of those go through AC4H weekly as well under the ploy of being sent to slaughter if they aren’t purchased….
* The only source I could find for this is anecdotal so if anyone has something specific about what slaughter plants WILL and WILL NOT accept for age, size/breed, body condition, etc, PLEASE send it to me!

A legitimate rescue actually helps horses. Weird concept, I know. Yup, I got a horse through AC4H, before the investigation started in late April, and before I knew all of this. I don’t regret it, because I love my pony, however, I will NEVER rescue a horse through them again, and I probably never would have if I had known all of this. EVERYONE should know this:

AC4H IS NOT A LEGITIMATE RESCUE!

This beautiful girl is a chestnut Arabian, did very well on the evaluation and is just darling. How or why she ended up at New Holland is anybody’s guess but here she is, waiting to go to Canada for the gourmet food market.

This big girl is a Belgian or Belgian X who found her way to the New Holland Auction after a life of very hard work.  It’s clear that her last owner (we assume) worked her with an ill-fitting collar and then dumped her at the auction with her injuries.  Even so, she is kind and gentle, not blaming the humans around her for what happened to her.

Surely there is someone out there who wants her.

See her video at: http://youtu.be/PHk1ONgkirg

Every week about 250 horses are sent through the New Holland Auction.  With so many animals and so few private buyers many end up in the “leftover pen”, to be loaded onto trucks to Canada where they will become gourmet meat and dog chews for markets in Europe and Asia.

These are animals of all breeds and ages, some with papers, some excellent saddle or harness horses who didn’t make a great showing in front of the crowd, or maybe they went through too late in the day or maybe they were too frightened, or maybe…

All of the animals you are looking at need homes, and there are more.  Please stop a moment to look and then reblog.  Somewhere these animals are wanted.

For more information on these babies and others please go here!
