abandoned scottish

Good Morning from Scotland

Memory Lane

Mona unpacked her bags, looking to see what she needed to de-wrinkle before she wore it. They were in Donnelaith, the small, mostly abandoned village in the Scottish Highlands that her family originated in. Most of it was part of an archaeological dig her family sponsored, and the small part of the town that was still populated mostly lived off of the scientists and students’ income being spent in their businesses.

They were at the house she had chosen to purchase in the area as her home base, a rather large but still cozy cottage. Other than Merlin and Mona, the only other people in it were the two servants that kept it in good order and took care of what she needed while she was there. “Those curtains there will black the room out, if you need to sleep. I know it was a long drive.”
