A peek in the fashion industry #1

En coulisse with Jalouse Magazine :

Last month I was lucky enough to go to a Jalouse magazine shooting. The editorial was shot by Thomas Smith and the model was my beautiful friend Yumi.

I learnt so many things. There are at least 8/10 people here, one hairdresser, one makeup artist, the photographer, his/her assistant, the model, 4 to 5 people from the magazine (and each and everyone of them has a special role to play, they can be in charge of the clothes, the accessories, the jewelry …). It takes 2 or 3 days to shoot the entire set of pictures, I was there the second day. It was the first time I got to see a model posing “for real” and it was quite impressive, Yumi knew exactly what to do, her poses were amazing.

The photographer always has an assistant, who retouches the colors or crop the pictures instantly. The person in charge of the editorial (for this one, it was Jennifer Eymere) checks all the photos and when she thinks they got the shot, the model has to change her outfit. In one afternoon they shot 8 looks (and for each looks the photographer takes hundreds of pictures).

Being there felt like a dream, the team was really nice. I hope someones from Jalouse or Yumi will come across this article because I really really want to thank them !  In case you’re reading this : Merci beaucoup beaucoup beaucoup, j'ai passé le meilleur après midi du monde !
