I want age reversal batfam that includes Bruce in the reversal I want a rowdy gang of kids and teens and young adults who stumble upon freshly orphaned Bruce Wayne who only has an aging butler to look after him. and I want them to, for better or for worse, collectively adopt him. Or, in which 25 year old Damian al Ghul, (heir to the Demon’s Head who tossed off his mantle and became a vigilante on behalf of the world upon seeing the world for himself, and has only a fortune, a huge house, and a meager attempt at a secret identity), doesn’t know how he became responsible for: 21 year old Tim Drake, the haggard orphan CEO of Drake Industries who found out about Damian and the LoA and wanted to do some good for the city so he insisted on helping, 20 year old Cassandra Cain, the quiet but terrifying renegade who escaped her family and proved herself a worthy adversary, foe, and friend, 17 year old Jason Todd, who broke into Damian’s house and Damian was so impressed he managed to get past security that he didn’t turn him in but instead took him in not unlike a stray cat, 13 year old Dick Grayson, orphan and narrowly escaped the foster care system 4 years ago; Damian caught him trying to run and decided to let him stay with him, outside of the law, as long as he let Damian give him an education and as long as Dick helps around the house a little. The gang meets little Bruce Wayne, reeling after his parents’ murder. It’s Dick that wants to adopt him first, thinking all too much about his own parents murder not long ago. It doesn’t take long for the rest to follow suit though– And Damian doesn’t protest. Soon they’ve added this tiny, angry, grieving eight year old boy (and his butler) to Damian’s home, and they couldn’t be happier.

They’ll all come to see you for what you are

A Jonerys fic

Arrival at Winterfell…

He closed and bolted the heavy door behind them.

“So…that went well I thought.”

With the tiniest roll of her eyes, she turned her back on him, refusing to let him see how upset she was.

“They hate me, Jon. Your family hates me.”

“No, they don’t hate you, they just don’t know you. They don’t trust you. But they will, just give them time. After all, I felt the same way a few months ago, as did you.”

Daenerys spun back around, her hands clasped to avoid wringing them. “Fine, Arya may not hate me, and Bran…is a little hard to read. But the same cannot be said for the Lady of Winterfell. There’s no mistaking her.”

Jon opened his mouth to protest, then thought better of it when he saw her daring arched eyebrow and realised there was probably some truth to what she said. So he tried a different route. “If it makes you feel any better, she hasn’t liked me much most of our lives either. I think she’s always loved me in her own way, but she’s never really liked me. Probably has something to do with her mother.” He looked at the floor, memories of the dearly departed Catelyn Stark flittering through his head, none of them pleasant.

She stepped towards him carefully, lately it felt like every move between them had to be thought and re-thought a dozen times before acted on lest one makes a move the other isn’t ready to reciprocate. But at that moment she didn’t care, they hadn’t spoken much on the subject, but Dany knew his father’s wife was a sore spot for him. After all, she had no great love for those who made her feel like an outsider in her own home either. She placed a small, delicate hand on his callused ones.

Jon looked up and met her eyes, she didn’t speak any words of comfort, nor did he need them, her touch was enough, the gentle smile on her face was enough. He shook his head slightly as if shaking off the reverie and let a playful grin begin to form on his face.

“Besides,” he began to say with a glint in his coal-stone eyes. “There’s only one opinion that really matters to me and he seemed to take to you quite nicely.”

Dany cocked her head to the side and furrowed her thick brows in confusion, then broke out into a bemused smile when realisation hit her.

“Are you talking about Ghost?”

Jon didn’t say anything, he just bit his lip slightly like a cheeky schoolboy making a joke. She loved this side of him, it surfaced so rarely, usually buried under layers of brooding, but when it did it made her heart glow.

“I’ll admit, the fact that he didn’t immediately try to bite my arm off was more of a relief than it should have been.” Dany walked towards the fire in the corner of the room, it had been hours since it was lit and was now barely burning. “‘The Dragon Queen’…bested by a little wolf.”

His eyebrows shot up. “‘Little wolf’?”

The tiniest giggle escaped her lips, reminding Jon how young she truly was at heart, there weren’t many moments like this. “You know what I mean, the animals I deal with are usually –”

“Alright, fair enough. He’s no dragon. But in these parts, he is still considered quite formidable.” Dany could’ve sworn there was something in his voice that sounded offended, but he did a good job of covering it up.

“That he definitely is. A worthy adversary if he chose to be.” She nodded to herself absentmindedly, apparently it was enough to put him at ease.

He walked up behind her and they watched the flames together, dancing and circling each other.

“It wouldn’t hurt you at all, would it?”

The corner of her mouth perked up, she had been waiting a while for Jon to ask her about this, she was starting to wonder if he ever would.

“Not at all.”

“What does it feel like, Daenerys? To walk through fire?” He had been holding this back since the day they met, he’d only heard tales of her walking through flames unscathed, and of course there was the ‘Unburnt’ in her title, but he’d never actually addressed it with her. He just took her word for it.

“Like warmth.” Then, perceiving what that probably sounded like, she backtracked. “Not ‘fire’ kind of warmth, more like…what I’ve always imagined a mother’s smile feels like. A proud father’s hug. The love of a new-born child. It’s the safest feeling in the world. It won’t help you understand it, but it’s the same as when I’m on Drogon’s back, soaring through the skies. I feel invincible.”

They both took a deep breath in, gazing wistfully at the fire, anything to keep them from staring at each other longingly.

“It sounds incredible.”

Daenerys nodded slowly, sadly. “Almost makes up for the fact that I’ll never have anything to compare it to. A mother’s smile, a father’s hug,” her voice broke ever so slightly, “my child’s love.”

Without thinking, he took her hand, squeezing it gently and rubbing his thumb along her pale skin. Boundaries didn’t matter to him, not now, not when the woman he was so desperately in love with was hurting.

“You are the most loved woman I have ever met, My Queen. Trust me, I speak from a place of authority.” Jon, realising what he had just said, cleared his throat self-consciously.

She took a small step back until they were aligned and rested her head against his shoulder. And there they stood, not saying a word, watching the fire die out, relishing the seconds, the minutes, the hours, that they didn’t have to pretend to be stronger than they were.

I don’t agree with all these posts and reviews that go “Clockwork Mansion is really a metaphor of how it’s creator’s twisted mind works…. Polished wood and pretty brocades on the outside…. but inside of them…. there are cold…. dangerous….. bare walls…..” Because I feel like it ignores the major aspect that makes Jindosh really interesting and unique as a villain.

This metaphor would make sense if Jindosh invited you for a cup of tea, played classical music while you talk about puppies and eat cupcakes, and then you woke up in the dungeon. But he didn’t. He never tried to deceive you with pleasantries and lure you into a trap. He told you outright it’s a trap. Kirin Jindosh put an audio saying “COME MEET ME IN THE PIT WHENEVER IF YOU WANT YOUR ASS KICKED” right in front of the door.

Cultural conscience always divides villains based on their intellect. Brash and loud = stupid, smart and classy = cold, manipulative, deceiving. But Jindosh is not just another Hannibal Lecter. Yes, he’s brilliant, classy, has an impeccable taste in everything except facial hair, and at the same time he’s an obnoxious, brash, loud little shit. Ffs, he shit-talks you the entire time, how is that for “pretty brocades”? He’s not really manipulative or deceptive, because he’s proud to the point of fearlessness. He promises you fair game and he keeps his promise, even when he sees you destroy all of his murder robots and reach his lair, because as the Heart said, he honestly wants to meet a worthy adversary. He doesn’t try to escape or blackmail you with, say, photos of the Empress using black magic. No, he waits there and jumps at you with the sword.

Tldr - Kirin “FIGHT ME” Jindosh is a genius dandy gremlin in intense search for someone to kick his ass.

Different anon. What do you mean about the marriage symbols in Brienne's chapters? I didn't see any?

In the mêlée at Bitterbridge she had sought out her suitors and battered them one by one, Farrow and Ambrose and Bushy, Mark Mullendore and Raymond Nayland and Will the Stork. She had ridden over Harry Sawyer and broken Robin Potter’s helm, giving him a nasty scar. And when the last of them had fallen, the Mother had delivered Connington to her. This time Ser Ronnet held a sword and not a rose. Every blow she dealt him was sweeter than a kiss.
Loras Tyrell had been the last to face her wroth that day. He’d never courted her, had hardly looked at her at all, but he bore three golden roses on his shield that day, and Brienne hated roses. The sight of them had given her a furious strength. She went to sleep dreaming of the fight they’d had, and of Ser Jaime fastening a rainbow cloak about her shoulders.

She was dressed in silk brocade, a quartered gown of blue and red decorated with golden suns and silver crescent moons. On another girl it might have been a pretty gown, but not on her. She was twelve, ungainly and uncomfortable, waiting to meet the young knight her father had arranged for her to marry, a boy six years her senior, sure to be a famous champion one day. She dreaded his arrival. Her bosom was too small, her hands and feet too big. Her hair kept sticking up, and there was a pimple nestled in the fold beside her nose. “He will bring a rose for you,” her father promised her, but a rose was no good, a rose could not keep her safe. It was a sword she wanted. Oathkeeper. I have to find the girl. I have to find his honor.
Finally the doors opened, and her betrothed strode into her father’s hall. She tried to greet him as she had been instructed, only to have blood come pouring from her mouth. She had bitten her tongue off as she waited. She spat it at the young knight’s feet, and saw the disgust on his face. “Brienne the Beauty,” he said in a mocking tone. “I have seen sows more beautiful than you.” He tossed the rose in her face. As he walked away, the griffins on his cloak rippled and blurred and changed to lions. Jaime! she wanted to cry. Jaime, come back for me! But her tongue lay on the floor by the rose, drowned in blood.
Brienne woke suddenly, gasping.

When this guy dies....

…so does the unpredictability and interesting writing/story telling in GoT. Whether you love or hate them, characters like Littlefinger, Viserys, Ramsay, Stannis, Joffrey, Cersei (who will most likely die too) brought that ‘holy shit, oh no they didn’t, what are they capable of?… they won’t ‘go there’…. yep, they ‘went there’…. Without them? I would have tuned out years ago.

I know 95% of the fandom has a collective boner just waiting for Baelish to die (I wanted Ramsay to die too but at least I knew I was going to miss his psycho ass in some way just because you didn’t know what the fuck he was going to do) but that same ‘what does he have up his sleeve’ is sooo going to be missing.

I used to love Tyrion but after his epic court scene, his character died to become Dany’s drunken advisor. Varys, whose chess match and war of words with his worthy adversary, Littlefinger, hasn’t had anything interesting to do in years. Their scenes were gold. The real puppetmasters in GoT.

But now, with the inevitable deaths of both Baelish and Cersei, I’m growing bored of this show and it’s downward spiral into being a low-rent LOTR cgi battle that will last into next season.

Stark kids reunite, Arya is going to kill someone, Bran will see something important that will probably save the day, Jon and Dany meet and probably end up hooking up as “ice & fire”, Jon is a Targaryen, they battle the Lannisters, Jaime probably kills Cersei and becomes a ‘ good guy’ and/or they either win or everyone looks North and has a collective “fml” moment and combine forces to battle the White Walkers with dragons. Dany either pulls her head out of her ass and becomes a good queen or she falls down the same route as her family. Jon becomes king or dies saving everyone and at least one Stark is left..

Oh I could go into a multitude of over-analyzed endings that fans have guessed at for years. None of which are really exciting, great story telling, or anything new. The story will basically devolve into mankind fighting against a supernatural force and most likely winning.

Having dark horses in the mix like Baelish and others kept it unpredictable and intriguing. Fans freaked over killing off ‘beloved’ characters like Robb, Ned, Cat, etc… but what purpose would they serve by staying alive? Not much, really. Varys, at one point you really wondered who he was serving and what his game plan was, but now….snore. I was really hoping for an epic match up in the end with Baelish, the two men I considered the real players in this game - where EVERYONE else (other than WW) was a pawn. Now, the dark horses will be dead and gone. As much as I love Olenna, I don’t foresee much happening with her other than getting revenge on Cersei probably.

Fans in general would most likely hate it, but keeping a character like Baelish, whose motives are never crystal clear (even if you think you know, you could be wrong), in until the end keeps a mystery and intrigue in the storyline that keeps nagging you —- WHAT IF. What if this dark horse, loathed character, throws a wrench into everything, what if he causes chaos, what if he manipulates or convinces other characters to make different choices…what if he survives to the end… only to end up winning (even IF it’s a pile of ashes) OR redeems himself in some way no one expects…

Again….the expectation and predictability of the story and hoping GRRM wasn’t going to use the old tried and true….or old and over-used cliché tropes that everyone’s figured out already.

I suppose I’m still hoping for a miracle that the writers won’t kill off the two last remaining characters that are actually INTERESTING, even if they are considered villains. I guess I’m sick of the same shit, hero always wins in some fashion, good vs evil - yea! the goodies won even if they almost died, all tied up neat with a ribbon, no surprises, add a few big battle scenes and voila - the end.

It’s all been done to death and back again. The only thing that might redeem Dany as a character in my view is if she ends up being a nasty villain, sending her Dothraki hoards to kill off, pillage and rape her would-be Westerosi subjects. They won’t like her for that. THAT would at least make her interesting as a flawed character who gets lost in her quest for power and isn’t the good queen she thinks she is.

Sansa, if she turned to the dark side would be FAR more interesting. What else does she have but to sideline for Jon and Arya now? Bran still has potential, but again predictable.

Fuck that know-nothing Jon Snow. I never understood why everyone loves his character. Run of the mill good guy, not so smart but full of heart, hero. SNORE.

Arya could have been interesting but they dragged her shit out wayyyy too long.

Tyrion? One of the most dynamic characters suddenly reduced to nothing but witless dialogue and drinking.

That leaves us with Littlefinger (such a well written, genius character that has been dumbed down to the point of ridiculousness) and Cersei. Both brilliantly acted - one who unfortunately remains underrated and underused as hell imo. I worry both will die.

I had such high hopes that GRRM would go against the grain and really pull out something unique after all the books and all these years with the show…but sadly, I see it not happening. Those fans will get the ending they’re hoping for and yet I find myself underwhelmed and actually disappointed with where the story is heading. I know it’s just fiction and entertainment, but I was really hoping for something better after all these years.

Well, I raise my glass to my Queen of Wine & Wildfire and King of the Ashes.

What is ASiB about

It’s been 5 years since ASiB and some people still don’t understand that it’s all about johnlock and really has nothing to do with Irene Adler except in terms of the damn case and her confronting John on his feelings for Sherlock.

Let’s back up to the events in the months directly before Irene came into the picture, shall we?

Sherlock and John were working and living together, solving cases, becoming closer, culminating in the poolside confrontation with Moriarty where 1) John was willing to sacrifice his life to save Sherlock 2) They agreed to die together and 3) There was major adrenaline-fueled flirting.

Then in the beginning of ASiB, we have an adorable montage of crime solving mixed with domesticity, taking place over the course of several months. We see Sherlock really interested in John’s blog. From flashbacks in TSoT, taking place during this same time period, we see Sherlock obsessing over John’s middle name. And he’s taken up smoking again hmmm. We’ve got Sherlock talking to John even when he’s not there, Sherlock skyping in a sheet, the giggling at Buckingham and in the cab. Sherlock steals an ashtray from the goddam Queen just to delight John.

So we have this big johnlock build-up, a huge amount of interest toward John from Sherlock, and an oblivious John pining away. Then Irene shows up, outsmarts Sherlock, throws a tantalizing case his way, AND reminds him that hey sex actually exists Mr. Transport.

Is it any surprise we get the reaction we do from Sherlock? He has an actual worthy adversary and interesting case that he can focus on in lieu of John, but John is never far from his mind either. And then there’s Irene- a femlock if there ever was one. A beautiful, intelligent, gay unicorn, but unlike Sherlock himself, Irene is someone that is actually in touch with and embraces her sexuality. She doesn’t repress it or fear it. For Sherlock, everything naturally gets all muddled.

But in spite of Irene’s presence in the episode, we continue to be drawn back to Sherlock and John. John’s feelings are easy in this because they’re obvious which is why I focus on Sherlock.

There was the beginning of the episode yes. There’s also his panicked reaction when John is threatened (and it’s a threat to John not Irene that affects Sherlock). Sherlock is extremely petty to Jeanette (John’s gf). Sherlock follows John everywhere. Sherlock looks at JOHN after he’s told to “impress a girl” and does his Bond Air deduction. Sherlock asks for John when he comes out of his mind palace. “I imagine John Watson thinks love’s a mystery to me.” Mycroft reminds John that Sherlock has a heart and also reassures him that Irene is dead. The intense 221b scene.

And that’s not even CLOSE to everything. Literally look beyond Irene’s nudity and actually observe what happens in the episode. ASiB is just a fucking johnlock treasure trove. And anyone who has eyes for more than naked lady can see it.

Add your own johnlock scandal moments if you’d like!

A/n: Here’s ch. 4! I hope you guys like it because I was a bit nervous to post it. The last chapter didn’t get as much action as I hoped and it kinda dampened my spirits. This chapter is a bit shorter and goes more toward the reader’s state of mind. Hope you love it and I appreciate any feed back loves! Thank you!
(Chapter 5 will have some action!)

Italicized = Dream

Upon returning to the campsite you found the others fast asleep still, not having been bothered by your absence. It didn’t take Jason long to follow in their footsteps and pass out leaning up against a tree. Though you couldn’t help but watch him and the others, and just think. Your eyes wandered from person to person, thoughts rushing through your head about the trials to come.

Are you cut out for this? These people are your friends and they trust you with everything they have. Trust you to lead them, to protect them. How could you protect them? You’re all in this mess because of your inability to protect Garfield, and now he’s with the Sirens. Scared and alone.

Sighing you ran a hand through your [h/l] hair. The ends snagging in your fingers. Taking a glance at the case that holds your father’s lighting bolt you think, ‘Maybe he’s right. This is something I should’ve fought on my own.’ Your eyes fall on Jason again, the moment you just had still ever present in your mind. What is it about him that changes things? You’ve met other offspring of Athena, some male and others female, but there’s just something different at work here. Perhaps it’s his story about being resurrected or something else entirely.

Though one thing you knew was now is not the time for these thoughts. You have a mission at work here, focus is key to success. Focus is what you will need tomorrow, and being tired hinders that. Laying back against your bag you stare up at the stars, allowing your eyelids to become heavy and eventually pull you into the addictive trance of sleep.

It was all dark. The only sound heard was a faint dripping of water droplets. You stood silent, the other sound reaching your ears being your own slow breathing. In and out, in and out. It’s calm rhythm never faltering. Where are you?

Staying still until torches lit out of nowhere, making your guard fly up higher. Hand reaching for the hilt of you sword, only to find it and all weapons missing. The torches led down a narrow hall, the only way out of the circular room you were in.

Hesitantly, you began down the corridor. Ready for any sort of attack. As you walked faint humming, almost singing, could be heard. The song was familiar, a lullaby your mother once sang to you. Coming closer to the humming, it grew into soft singing, luring you closer. The voice was almost familiar.

Coming to the end of the hall you entered a room. It was similar to the one you were just in, the humming being louder than ever. Turning around you saw the hallway gone, replaced by a solid wall. Looking into the room again, it had changed.

Your blood ran cold at the sight. Each member of your team lay bloodied, battered, and lifeless. Some with their eyes wide with terror, others with mangled limbs. It was truly horrifying. A cry seeped from your throat before you quickly muffle it with your hand.

The cry made the singing turn to laughter. “Poor little hero. Couldn’t save your friends, your mother, or your unspoken love. You were never cut out for this, I guess even the mighty Zeus can be wrong.” The voice’s tone was light and airy, a beautiful pitch and tone to it. Your gaze scanned each of your comrades again, stopping on the slight rise and fall of a chest. Eyes trailing up to see Jason’s blue eyes widened in terror. Rushing over you noticed the blood pooling around him. His eyes darted to yours, he heaved a breath “We.. Trusted.. You” gasping before falling limp. “No, no, no. Jason!” Turning you saw Kaldur next, coming to his side you shook him, “Kaldur! Please!”

“No use little hero. They’re all gone. Thanks to me and you.” The voice giggled, feeling a finger run across your back. Whipping around you saw nothing. Another sound added to the voice, a heavy panting and growling.

“4 days left” the voice said as heavy footsteps came near you. The animalistic panting and growls almost right on top of you. “You’re running out of time.”

The noises stopped in front of you as you rose to your feet, as if an invisible beast stood there. Feeling the exhale of something blow against your face, a low growl accompanying it.

The voice giggled again, “If I were you, I’d wake up little hero… WAKE UP!” the voice screamed a deafening screech as the unseen beast roared in your face.

Jolting awake to the feeling of someone shaking you and yelling for you to wake up. Instinct took over as you pulled out the knife in the holster around your ankle and flipped the person on their back. With a knee to their chest you held the blade to their throat, all done in a single swift motion. Your breathing heaved as you stared down into a familiar face. Dick.

“Whoa hey!” He yelled, surprised at your attack.

Realization hit and you scrambled off him, backing away. Breathing still labored and mind reeling from the nightmare. “[F/n] calm down. Breathe.” Kaldur said placing a hand on your shoulder. Nodding you regulated your breathing, wiping away the thin layer of sweat from your forehead. “Dick, I’m so sorry.” Apologizing once having gained your head again. “It’s alright, are you okay?” Worry laced in his tone.

You nodded, “Yeah, yeah. I just. I don’t know what happened.” “You were yelling in your sleep” Kori informed you, coming up to the other side of you. “I was? Sorry, I guess it was just a bad dream.” Kaldur looked at you, concern showed in the way his brows furrowed together. Your nightmares were rare, and only happened in times of extreme stress, he knows that. You shared a glance with him, “I’m fine. Really.” He sighed in defeat before handing his head. Standing he replied “Alright.”

You nodded and stood up as well. Clearing your voice, you instructed for them all to pack up their things. As they did so you thought about the nightmare you just had. Who was that voice? What was that creature? These questions bombarded you all the way up to your moving out of the campsite.

You were silent again while leading. The entire team watching you carefully, wondering what had happened in that nightmare. Conner cleared his voice, “[F/n] do you know anything about this first trial?”

Looking back, you nodded. “Our first trial is to get the map that leads to the adamantine. We will face a creature called the Drakon Kholkikos, or the Colchian Dragon. A ancient watchful serpent of who used to watch over the sacred groves of Ares and protect the golden fleece. It’s known for the magical properties it’s teeth contain along with the fact that it is sleepless on its own. Making it the perfect guard. It’s a worthy adversary, keep your guard up and never give it an inch.” Instructing while spotting the entrance to the cave you must enter.

“Then our second trial will be to obtain a special sword that could help with our final trial. It’s said to be the sword of Theseus, the one used to slay the Minotaur in the labyrinth. It could be of use. In the second trial we will face the Chimera. But let’s cross that bridge when we come to it.” Explaining while looking at your group. “Do you know the third trial?” Roy asked curiously. You shook your head, “No, the trial is a mystery to everyone but the gods.”

“Now let’s focus on the task at hand, here’s our plan. Jason and Roy, you’re our best marksmen, use the bows to take care of long range attacks, but Jason be ready to step in with a sword if need be. Conner and Kaldur, you’re in charge of keeping its attention. Keep its focus. While you’re doing that Dick, Kori, and I will work on weakening and taking it down completely, there is a weak point below it’s head. Sound good to everyone?” Asking the entirety of the group. Exchanging glances they all nodded. “Alright, then let’s give ’em hell.”

  • *Ky Luc and Crowley fighting, resulting in Ky Luc beheading Crowley*
  • Ky Luc: "Now stand aside, worthy adversary."
  • Crowley: "Tis but a scratch."
  • Ky Luc: "A scratch?! Your head's off!"
  • Crowley: "No it isn't."
  • Ky Luc: "Well what's that then?" *pointing to Crowley's head lying on the ground*
  • Crowley: "I've had worse."
  • Ky Luc: "You liar!"
  • Crowley: "Come on then, you pansy!"
Heaven and Hell and Everything Inbetween: Part III

“Remember to use small strokes.” Cassian reminded Nesta as she used the straight razor on his cream lathered face.
“So you’ve said.“ Wiping the blade clean and ignoring blatant subtext, she continued. ”Eleven times.
“I’m sorry. A beautiful woman wielding an incredibly sharp blade near my throat tends to make me nervous.” A chuckle let out in which Nesta did not reciprocate.
Quiet.“ She chided. “I don’t want to accidentally cut you because your face keeps moving.“
Obeying, he kept his mouth shut as she finished one cheek and moved on to the next.
“Why did you want me to do this?“ Honest curiosity lined in her voice. “Being clean-cut has never been a priority for you.”
A brief pause. He had his reasons.
Because I thoroughly enjoy watching you squirm. He thought. Because I wanted to look nice for you.
“If you must know- Mother’s tits! OW!” Red began dripping down his cheek and he tried not to flinch from the initial shock.
“I’m sorry!” Panicking, Nesta dropped the blade in the sink. “That was my fault-”
Half turned and utterly mortified, she considered running away and hiding due to embarrassment.
Reaching for her hand he asked in a kind voice, “Where are you going?”
“I’m done. I can’t do this.”
“I will look like a complete idiot with my face left like this.” Baiting her when she felt vulnerable always worked like a charm.
She took it, rolling her eyes and pointed to the unfinished side of his face. “Not a complete idiot, no. Just a half-wit.”
“Sweetheart, you’re doing just fine. It’s already healed up.“
Nevertheless, she gave no sign to rejoin him.
“Come here.” He coaxed. “Sit on my lap. It’ll be easier for you.”
It was his turn to roll his eyes. “I am well aware of my hulking- your words, not mine- size. It would be easier if you didn’t have to walk to opposite ends of the bathroom when you wanted to reach the other side of my face. It would spare me from craning my neck as well.”
Weighing the logic, she slid herself onto him. His hands made themselves comfortable resting on her hips as he couldn’t contain the mischievous glint in his eye.
With a wet rag, she cleaned the blood. In gratitude, he rubbed her thighs. Kneading out built up tension.
Upon finishing his cheek she moved on to his upper lip. The most difficult area, she thought.
After a minute or so, a wide grin spread across Cassian’s face.
Pulling away, Nesta demanded: “Why are you smiling at me like that?”
“I can’t help it. I like your face like this.” Using the exact words she had uttered earlier that day.
“Like what, pray tell?”
“Your concentrated face. You know, the one where you crinkle your brow? And the tip of your tongue curls over your lip.”
Her eyes narrowed at that. “I don’t make a face.”
“You’re making it right now.”
In denial, she pressed her mouth shut in a hard line.
“It’s adorable.” He insisted, raising a thick eyebrow.
Snorting was her only response.
Fearsome is what I meant to say.” He amended and mockingly bowed his head, though he thought her pout further proved his point. “Positively fearsome.”
Once again lifting the blade, Nesta continued her work. Cassian was no help at all, his hands refusing to be idle and mouth relentlessly teasing.
Cocking her head to the side, she squinted. Examining her handiwork. Cupping his jaw, she turned his head to analyze each angle.
Gliding the back of her hand over his near silken gold cheeks, she was satisfied with her accomplishment.
“The Commander managed to survive the most gruesome part,” she announced. “Not without sustaining a battle wound, of course. That should impress the widows.”
“Thank the Mother for our many blessings and miracles. You are a worthy adversary, Emissary.”
Reaching over his wings to the counter, Nesta grabbed for a hot towel.
With a wry smile, she followed through on an impulse.
Gently placing the towel over his face, she smoothed it. Cassian let out a sigh of complete contentment.
Sneakily feeling for his mouth, she pulled his covered face and, with lightning speed, passionately crushed her lips onto his over the terry cloth.
Jumping in surprise, Cassian ripped the towel away and growled. The exact response she had been hoping for.
“After that ordeal, I definitely require to be held in comfort.”
“Illyrians are so dramatic.” She clucked her tongue.
It took half a beat to get on her level.
“You’re not wrong,” he conceded in a drawl.
Holding could come later, she thought.
After all the accumulated teases and flirts, Nesta couldn’t take it anymore. She wanted him now.
“Take off your pants.”
A fire lit in his eyes as he sat up. “I am utterly scandalized at how forward you’ve become. What’s come over you?”
Leaning forward, she inhaled deeply, becoming intoxicated by his aroma. “Take off your pants and get in the shower. I think it’s time for me to fulfill my second promise.”
Lifting her from his lap, he did as she commanded. Throwing his pants across the room and standing stark naked before her.
Nesta took her time looking him over, giving a nod of approval.
Blood rushed southwards and she licked her lips at the sight.
“Cass?” Nesta asked in a low voice that he knew quite well.
At near breaking point, he strained to keep his voice even. “Yes?”
Slowly removing her thin nightgown, testing his patience with each clasp she loosed, she let it fall to her feet. Not breaking eye contact as she kicked it in his direction.
Now it was his turn to look her over. He took his sweet time appreciating every curve. Nearly purring, it became quite apparent that he very much liked what he saw, and exactly what he wanted to do about it.
“Yes?” He repeated himself.
Turning knobs, water began streaming from the ceiling. Though not loud enough to drown out Nesta’s request:

“Keep your wings open.”

Wow another ask! Anyway, how would UF main 4 react to human child falling underground and they're blind? But their sniffing and hearing is TOPNOTCH.

i made the mistake of watching a playthrough of “little nightmares” so now all i’m imagining is a baby version of The Janitor - M.M.

The fact that you always seem to know where he is kind of freaks him out, but he doesn’t point it out. You’re a sneaky little thing, aren’t you? The fact that you can’t see just makes him all the more protective, but seeing you make it through on your own makes him…proud at the same time. You’re a real gem, aren’t you, kid? Well, he’s supporting you from the shadows, pal. & given the Underground’s current state, you’re gonna need it.

The fact that you’ve made it through all his puzzles both confounds & irritates him. You’re blind, he should have captured you by now!! How are you so good at this?! He’s impressed by you, he bitterly admits, & considers you a worthy adversary for him to face-off against. So prepare yourself human, because despite your handicap, the Terrible Papyrus will not show you Mercy!!

She’s torn on her objective. You’re blind, but you’ve made it this far, & she still has a duty to take your SOUL. You’ve got a disadvantage, & that just makes you an easier target. But you’re a child. A blind child. The moment you start avoiding her attacks, though, she pulls off the Gloves. You’ve got a SOUL, & she’s got a mission dammit, as bad as it feels–you’re coming with her!!

She considers you to be extremely interesting. She’s been watching you this whole time, from her hidden cameras. You’ve made it all the way to Hotland, despite it all. You’re one of the most interesting humans she’s ever met, not that she’s met any. She’s secretly a bit of a fan. You’re strong, you’re smart, & you’re obviously brave, having gotten where you are with such a huge disadvantage. So, cautiously, she agrees to help you through to see the King. She’ll keep her distance, but finally getting to be on your side is…actually kind of exciting.

Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens - Finn & Rey Vs. Kylo Ren [4K 6…

There is NOOOOOOO way that Kylo DOESN’T say ‘Rey’ when she beats him. At 4:29 he says 'Ah’ and at 4:30 he says 'Rey’. You can not only hear him say it, you can clearly see his lips forming the two seperate syllables. This is the best version I’ve seen on youtube, but my Blue Ray and HD tv show it clearly, too. As soon as he says 'Rey’, he gathers himself together and sits up to look at her, his worthy adversary and new obsession. I really don’t understand how people can’t see this on the video, as it’s very clear to me and I wasn’t even looking the first ten times I saw the film. I just happened to really pay attention one day.

anonymous asked:

For some reason, Lillian saying "Help me Kara" pulled at my heart strings. Maybe because of the fact that Lillian actually knows who Supergirl is but it really got to me.

They have done a great job adding complexity to Lillian this season. I admit in the beginning I was unsure about how much depth they would give her. After parts from Crossfire and Medusa and then of course, Luthors and everything that happened up to this point, they have done well. And Brenda really does the character justice. It is so important to have a villain be sympathetic or they are just one-dimensional and you mostly just want them gone because they’re boring as opposed to being a menace and/or worthy adversary to our protagonist(s).

There were a couple moments/expressions that stuck out for me with Lillian. First to the main subject of discussion.

Me: 😭
I finally conceded after Exodus that I really do believe that Lillian loves Lena. Is she Mother of the Year? Nah. Does she show her love well? Nah. Does she show her love for Lena in the way she knows how while still keeping a tight grip on her overall goal? Yah. We can’t forget that keeping Lena (and Lex) safe is part of her true motivation in defeating the alien menace, as she would say.

Her ends and means are harsh and amoral. But to her, her cause is just and her feelings for Lena are there somewhere. I don’t really believe that she was just trying to appeal to Kara here by faking her feelings. I do think she meant what she said. And by the next expression:

I think she silently reveals to us that as always, she has a malicious plan. She has two goals in her fight this time. Find and save her daughter and also get rid of Supergirl. And quite frankly, it was a genius play because multiple times this season, we have seen Kara talk to multiple characters about issues regarding their parents – usually their mothers. Even without this specific information logged away, Lillian knows what kind of person Kara is and knows that she will be emotionally invested. So she must show that same kind of investment. At the same time, I cannot help but feel that deep down, Lillian knows that showing up without Supergirl wouldn’t just be difficult in the means of dealing with the Daxamites, but also in the means of convincing Lena to work with her. We saw how Lena was pleasantly surprised and grateful that they were working together. That is until…..

Me: 😢
In this moment, Lena chooses Supergirl over Lillian yet again. Rightfully so, of course, but stay with me. Despite the effort that Lillian calls herself putting in, despite risking her life to save her, Lena still is not convinced that Lillian’s way is the way. The look on Lillian’s face here when she realizes that her daughter is still against her – shock, confusion, anger, even a bit of heartbreak. She really thought she had her. And even though I will always be rooting for Lena to Resist (hehe) her mother’s hateful rhetoric and actions, I still felt for Lillian.
