a wonder book for girls and boys

Reid x reader:
Imagine the reader being younger than Reid.

Warnings: big age difference, fluff/smut???, talking about cases

The team notices right away that something was on Spencer’s mind. It had been for the past couple months. It starts becoming obvious when boy genius himself starts messing up his facts.

“What’s up with you, pretty boy? Who’s got your panties in a knot?” Morgan asked him on the way out of the office.

The two were tired from a long day at Quantico and ready to be home.

“Knot? What makes you think anyone’s been doing anything with my panties? Did someone say something?” The doctor stuttered.

“Wow there. No I can just tell you have been distracted. Is there something you want to tell me?” Derek raises his eyebrows, stopping at his car.

Reid thinks what the best idea would be. He trusted Morgan but he also looked up to him and wondered what he would think.

“I met someone.” Reid’s mouth speaks before his brain has a chance to catch up.

Morgan can’t say he was surprised, he heard something from JJ but they were all just assumptions.

“A little lady caught the eye of Spencer Reid? Now how does one do that?” Derek smirks.

Reid has a silly grin on his face, he shrugs and looks down at the ground.

“She is- she’s pretty amazing.” He brags.

It was a relief to finally get it off his chest. For the past 3 months he’s been having to keep it a secret. He wouldn’t usually be hanging around people like you. Not unless he was on the job.

Not that there is anything wrong with you. Like he said you are amazing; smart, funny, beautiful. Everything he wanted in a girl.

You were pretty much his dream girl, except you are real.

“So when do I get to meet her?” Morgan wonders.

A question Spencer couldn’t answer. Both of your schedules were pretty full. You and Spencer had talked about meeting your friends next weekend at Rossi’s.

“Soon hopefully.” Spencer said before both him and his coworker made their way home.

When you heard the door start to unlock, you put your book down.

You greet the boy at the door.

You throw your arms around his neck before he has a chance to put anything down. He hugs you back.

“Did you get settled in?” He asks, closing the door with his foot.

You nod, you got into town this morning, Spencer was already at work so you have been at his house all alone. You two planned spending the spring holiday together. A whole week and a half of just you and your boyfriend.

You two untangle from each other and he puts his bag on the hook by the door. You loved Spencer’s house, it was what you wanted yours to look like. Books everywhere, almost OCD clean.

A love of books is what drew you and Spencer together so quickly.

“I think I need to shower.” Spencer announces, taking his coat off and hanging it will his bag.

“I think I’ll join you.” You smile and follow after him to the bathroom.
*
Spencer and you had been enjoying your time here. Times where he was at work, which seemed to be a lot, you found something to do.

You were never really bored, Spencer had an abundance of books and the city was interesting to explore.

You two were laying in bed, you were nearly asleep when his phone started ringing.

“Hello?” He answers, you knew he was asleep because he sounded half asleep. “Okay.” He says before hanging up.

“Who was that?” You ask curiously.

He starts getting up from bed, wearing only his robe.

“We have a case. They need me.” He gets into his dresser.

You frown, “It’s nearly two in the morning.” You whine.

He walks over to you leaning over you. “It’s all part of the job.” He kisses your lips and starts to get dressed.

You begin to doze off, the last thing you remember is Spencer covering you with a blanket and kissing your forehead.

When you open your eyes, the sun is flooding through the window, it’s just past noon.

You sit up, the house still empty. You check your phone and there is a message from Spencer. He says they had to go to New York for a case but shouldn’t be long.

You groan, you had homework to do but you wanted Spencer. You laid in bed for another hour before actually getting up. You made coffee and started right up on your homework.

You only stopped twice, to make something to eat and when Spencer called.

“I’m sorry, this really isn’t what I wanted to happen.” He apologizes over the phone.

“It’s okay, it’s your job. People need your brains.” You smile.

You can hear his laugh over the phone. You missed him, you were happy to be at his house than in your town. At least when he comes back you will be here.

“You doing okay-” Spencer starts.

“Who’s that?” You hear a voice on the other end of the line.

“I- I gotta go.” Spencer rushes.

You exchange goodbyes and hang up the phone. You knew Spencer hadn’t told his team about you. It was obvious why, you couldn’t help but feel he was embarrassed of you but you knew better than that.

You knew Spencer’s feelings for you were real, he cared so much about you and never missed a chance to show you.

Spencer had been talking to you about going to meet some of his friends tomorrow. They are meeting up at a coworkers house and he wanted you to meet them.

You couldn’t help but be nervous. He spoke so highly about his friends, you wondered what they would think.

The rest of the night you read and watched tv on your phone. Spencer of course did not have a tv which you found ridiculous. He was not that into electronics but everyone needs a tv.

You tried to stay up as late as you could, not knowing when Spencer would be home. When you found yourself falling asleep while reading a book, you knew it was time to call it a night.

It was almost 3am and you could barely keep your eyes open. You changed into one of Spencer’s shirts, surprisingly you hadn’t really worn one before. Spencer wasn’t the type of boyfriend who just gave away his shirts.

He doesn’t gets how sexy it is.

With that, you cuddled up in his bed by yourself and drifted to sleep. The next morning you woke up again around noon. You lifted your head up in bed to catch sight of the sleeping boy next to you.

A smile spread across your face, his hair is sprawled out across the pillow.

You roll closer to him and kiss his bare shoulder. You rub his back as he starts stirring. He rolls to face you and you automatically gasp.

“Spencer.” You say.

“Don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it looks.” He scrunched up his beaten face.

You cup his face, “This is the thing I don’t like about your job.”

“I know.” He smiles and pulls your head down to kiss your lips.

“Come on, let’s go out to breakfast.” He suggests.

The rest of the day was amazing. You two go out to breakfast then he spends the rest of the day reading to you. Your head in his lap as he reads The Narrative of John Smith to you. You notice he barely has to look at the book but that doesn’t surprise you much.

You two start getting ready to go to Reid coworkers house.

“Are you sure you want me to come?” You look at him through the mirror of the bathroom while drying your hair, a towel wrapped around your body.

“Yes, you are an important person in my life. I want you to meet the other important people.” He comes up behind you and kisses your cheek.

Having him by your side makes you feel better about everything. When you guys load into the car, you take his hand. He smiles at you, you can tell he is nervous too.

He cares so much about his team, if they don’t approve it with crush him. When you get to the nice sized house you park out front. You both sit in the car for a couple minutes.

“I’m really excited to meet your friends, Spence. I just want you to know, if they don’t like me it won’t change anything between us.” You comfort him. You have met the team before, it was before you and Spencer had even met.

“I think they are going to love you. I think it’s just at first they will be… confused.” He says.

You two finally exit the car and make your way to the door of the modern house. Spencer knocks and plays with his fingers while waiting for it to open. When it does there is a Middle aged man on the other side of the door.

He looks at you, then to Spencer then back to you before finally greeting you.

“Well hello. You just be Y/N.” He reaches out to shake your hand. “I’m David Rossi.”

You smile and shake his hands, “I’ve heard great things about you. It’s nice to meet you.”

He invited us in and there are multiple other people standing around the kitchen island.

All eyes go over to you guys and you can see the shock on everyone’s face. You wait for someone to say something and luckily Rossi finally does.

“This is Y/N, everyone.” He introduces you. He tells you everyone else’s name.

You smile at everyone and you and Spencer slowly start to merge with the group.

“Hi, it’s nice to meet you.” Prentiss says.

She seems very nice, you already had heard so much about the team, you felt like you knew them.

“Weren’t you at the college campus we were at?” She asks.

You were surprised she remembered. They came to your college and did a presentation about what they do in the BAU. It’s actually where Spencer and you met.

“Ah! That’s where I recognized you from! You were the girl who knew everything about everything.” JJ jumps in.

You’re honored that’s what they remember about you. It’s not that you knew everything about everything, it’s just no one in your class know much about anything. So when they asked questions you were the only one who really answered.

“Well it’s good to see you again.” Prentiss says.

You nod, this is going a lot better than You’d thought.

“So how did you and Spencer get together?” They asks.

You are a bit embarrassed, it makes you feel even younger to explain how you started seeing each other.

“Well after the lecture I actually came up and asked him a couple follow up questions.” You had already thought he was attractive from the beginning of the lecture. “He answered most of them but gave me his card in case I had anymore questions. So I called him the next weekend.”

Now it’s been a couple months. Time is really flying by.

Spencer walks up beside you, you smile at him. You think he just wants make sure you are all getting along. You actually really like Prentiss and JJ.

“Can I get you guys any wine?” Rossi offers Spencer and You. That’s when You notice almost all the rest of the team has a glass of wine.

You look up at Spencer awkwardly and he scratches his head.

“She can’t uh-” He starts.

“I won’t be 21 for a couple more months.” You finish.

The team is all the sudden quiet, all the conversations that seemed to be had suddenly stopped.

Reid is quite a bit older than you He celebrated his 32nd birthday this last fall.

“So your 20?” Garcia clears up. Her and Morgan are standing together. You so would think they were together but from what You heard from Spencer that’s just how their relationship is.

You nod and everyone stays silent.

“Well I guess Reid isn’t the baby if the group anymore.” Derek finally days.

You don’t know whether to laugh or be insulted. You take a step closer to Spencer. His hand finds yours.

“ I mean we all were joking you would be perfect for him during the lecture.” Rossi says.

“Yeah, you sounded so much like him it was kind of scary. Having one Reid around is intimidating enough.” Hotch smiles.

You think Spencer was right. It was a little awkward at first but after they get to know you, your age difference won’t even be a thought in their mind.

You look up at Spencer and smile at him. He smiles at you and kisses your forehead.

Next you just have to worry about telling your parents.

We Need To Talk About Ramona Blue:

TO EVERYONE WHO GAVE THIS BOOK ONE STAR WITHOUT READING IT:

First off, know that I am not going away. I am going to stand here and scream this from the rooftops as many times as I have to. Because I am tired of my voice and my story being drowned out. This book tells my story. If I get even one person to at least consider they might be wrong, if even one person buys this book because of me, then I’ve made a difference.

I respect your opinion and based off of the original synopsis I completely understand why you felt that way - indeed I agree with you. I understand why the initial synopsis made you angry, really I do. The b.s. trope that lesbians (or any LGBT+ girl) can be ‘cured’ by finding the right boy is not just offensive and incorrect, but incredibly, incredibly harmful. And when it’s used as much as it is, it leads to people in the real world justifying their homophobic thoughts with - “I can f**k that girl, she’s secretly straight anyway. I can make her change her mind. She just needs the right guy.” Corrective rape is a very real danger and one that is directly impacted by words like those in that synopsis.

But this isn’t what the book is about. When the author, Julie Murphy @andimjulie, was informed of how offensive and harmful the synopsis/blurb was she started arranging to have it changed. Because here’s the thing: authors don’t get to write those. Some random person at the publishing house does. It’s that random person that made the harmful words and who misunderstood the book.

The new synopsis is up on this goodreads page now  . Please read it and maybe consider changing or removing your rating?

Because this book isn’t about 'lesbians can be cured.’ This book is about bisexual girls, girls just like me, who grow up not knowing that they are bi. Believing that because they like girls they must therefore be lesbians or because they like boys they must therefore be straight. I’m the latter; in this heteronormative world I spent years believing I was straight before I realised.

This book is for all the girls like me who think they fit into one box because they like someone and then one day, realise they have feelings for a different gender. It is about how confusing and scary and downright terrifying that is. It is about lying awake all night thinking “but does liking this boy mean i was straight all along?” “do i actually like him or is it because i’m supposed to?” it’s about worrying that you can’t change your identity because people already know you as a 'lesbian.’ Worrying that you’re just attention seeking or greedy or unable to make up your mind, that you’re on the fence and you need to choose.

This book is about the moment of relief when you finally find the name that suits you - bisexual. Or, perhaps when you decide that it’s okay to not know for sure right now. And how much weight is taken off you once you know who you are, and you have an identity.

I haven’t read the book yet but the new revised synopsis reflects that the book will actually be about those topics. You’re punishing the author for what someone else misunderstood and wrote as a harmful piece of promotion. Notice how different (and not harmful) the synopsis is now that it’s been written with the author’s suggestions instead of just by some dude? That to me suggests that the book itself, written entirely by her, will be much more like the new synopsis than the old one.

Oh, and you will also notice that I mentioned I haven’t read the book yet. So how then, you wonder, am I able to sit here and say that the book will be about all of the things above?

Because I am that girl. I went through all of those things. Mine was vice versa to Ramona - I believed that I had to be straight because I liked boys and if you like boys that’s all you can be right? Wrong. It was so, so hard for me to figure out who I am, where my place in this world is. It took me four years to get where I am (I’m 18 now). And I still haven’t finished this journey - my parents don’t know. I know, from reading this new synopsis, that that is what this book is about because I have lived it. I know because the author is bisexual, married to a man - she has lived it too.

Tumblr I just don’t get it. We cry and cry for more representation but when you have it you destroy it’s chances with negative reviews before it’s even begun. All because it’s the “wrong sort” of representation. You don’t want this bi girls story, my true story, because it shows that sometimes girls who like girls also like boys. Not always but sometimes. And sometimes we end up with those boys.

Please, buy this book. Promote this book, please at least undo this low rating until you have read it. This book could have saved me so much heartache when I was fourteen. It could have let me know that I was not alone. It could have saved me six months of self-harm, an emotionally abusive relationship, bullying for being 'frigid.’

I didn’t have this book when I was facing all those things. But the next bi or pan girl could. We could save them.

Representation is important. Lesbian representation and positive, good representation at that, is important. But so is bi girl representation. And this book just happens to be one for the bi girls. This doesn’t have to be either or, bi girls existing doesn’t mean that lesbians do not. Please, let’s not harm each other’s chance at representation. Let’s support each other.

Please, at least let’s read this book before we give it a rating. Please help the next girl like me before she is hurt.

Broke My Dream

Characters: Sam x Reader

Word count: 4442 - sorry not sorry blame @a-sea-of-fandoms

Warnings: fluffy fluff, smutty smut, a bit of angst if you squint

A/N: Anon Requested: “Can you write one about Sam x reader. Reader is shy quiet bookworm who is in love with Sam. She knows he would never feel the same way. So she fantasizes about him seducing her. Then it really happens. Thank you” Hope this is OK!

You couldn’t focus on the book in front of you. The bunker was quiet enough, the light warm enough, your legs comfortably resting over the arm of the armchair you were laid in, but you just couldn’t stop thinking about him. It was an uncharacteristically quiet day, and it was supposed to be the day you finished this book you’d been trying to finish for weeks. But every time the main character was mentioned, your mind wandered and you thought back to the tall, long haired, broad shouldered man you knew in real life. You weren’t even halfway through this thing, but you wouldn’t give up on it. You’d never given up halfway through a book and you didn’t plan on starting now.

Clearing your throat, you tried to refocus.

You felt your eyes growing heavy and before you knew it you were drifting off to sleep, your head resting on the other arm of the chair, the book still open and perched against your thighs. You felt yourself smile as you saw Sam move towards you, his hand coming up to hold your face before he crashed his lips to yours. You were suddenly against a wall, his hands on your waist holding you in place as he deepened the kiss. You gripped the fabric of his shirt as he let his hands wander down, his lips moving to suck a mark under your ear.

A moan rumbled past your lips as you felt his fingers slip under the top of your jeans and you suddenly started awake.

You jumped up, sitting up in the chair, realising you’d fallen asleep and were having one of your not-so-infrequent fantasies about the younger Winchester. It had been a long couple of weeks and sleep had been severely lacking for all of you as you worked the case.

“Dude you were out,” you heard Dean’s voice and laughed. “And making some serious happy noises,” he winked, and you instantly cringed, your cheeks flushing pink.

Missed me? || Liam Dunbar

Missed me? || Liam Dunbar imagine

Plot: Liam’s childhood friend return to beacon hills but something seams different about her. \

The bell rang giving the signal that another class at beacon hills high school had came to an end. The McCall pack sat togheter around the lunch table enjoying th warm sun of California.

“So, liam have you met the new sophomore transfer?” Lydia questioned fixing everyone’s gaze onto the young boy. The boy kept chewing on the sandwich in his hand and shook his head “ Hasn’t been in any of my classes so far’‘

’'I heard she used to live here before she moved away” Malia said and shrugged “ this boy behind me in history wouldn’t shut up about her” “What if we know her?” Scott offered with a smile.

’’ yeah one more Theo Raeken?“ Stiles said pretending to think about it ’'I think I’ll pass” “I wonder who this kid is ” Kira mumbled quietly mostly to herself. “ well if you looked up from the book you would find out” Lydia nudged her and nodded toward the school door where who seamed like the new girl walked out. In a matter of second all seven heads turned towards the door in blink of an eye.

’'Y/N Y/L/N’’ liam questioned out loud before all seven heads turned back to the table before she could see them staring.

’'Wait , The Y/N Y/L/N?“ Mason asked his mouth open ’'Another childhood friend , great. This seams sketchy to anyone else or is it just me” Stiles whisper-yelled looking specially at the younger boy who still couldn’t tear his eyes away from her.

’'Liam’’ Scott calling his name turned his attention back to the group just as he missed the girl noticing him and starting to walk to them “Do you know that girl?” Liam had to resist looking back at the girl before nodding as an answer to Scott’s question “ we used to be best friend until we were like 12 , she suddenly disappeared and there was a lot… rumors’'

’'She is way out of your league buddy, how did you even become friends?” Mason asked and just as liam were to answer he was cut off but an unknown female voice. “I punched him in the face and he gave me a high five” they all turned around to see Y/N standing there smiling at them all before her eyes fixed on liam.

’'Y/N’’ Liam whispered looking up to the girl seaming to have lost his ability to talk. “I’m sorry , I believe we haven’t met before ” Lydia -who was sitting closest to her stood up offering a hand and smiling sweetly “ I’m Lydia Martin” “Scott McCall ” Scott took hint from Lydia staring at him and was quick to introduce himself, and soon after the rest of the group followed.

’'So Y/N , liam told us you had to move away. Why was that?“ Stiles asked and earned himself a elbow in the ribs from Scott, who still looked at Y/N for an answer. ’'I just started living with my grandparents , it was nothing important” she said chuckling but was quick to continue before stiles could ask any more questiones

“ Well I gotta go to class , dont wanna be late on first day” “What class do you have, maybe we have the same one” Mason asked giving the girl a smile. “Yeah let me check” she replied pulling her plan from her bag “ I got history this period” Mason let out a disappointed sight and turned to liam “ Don’t you have History this period”

“Uh” the young lad said finally tearing his gaze away from the girl “ Yeah i guess i do” “Great , lets go then ” she said waving a last goodbye to the others as liam stood up basically tripping over his own feet following her inside. They started walking into the school with the bone crushing silence , the tension almost making it to hard to breath.

’'I guess its been a while’’ Y/N chuckled looking at Liam , his blue eyes tense and his stress could be smelt from miles away “ listen I kno-” “You just left Y/N . We talked the day before that , you told me things were getting better and the next thing I know is that you are gone and I’m attending a funeral and you are suddenly a murderer” He exclaimed stopping by his locker as she walked ahead a few steps and didnt turn to face him until he was done with his rant.

She turned around , the smile on her face long gone and a serious look replaced it “ Did you believe them ?” She quietly asked as the bell rang and people started hurrying by them to get to class. He sighted breaking the stare off as his phone beeped telling him he got a text.

From Stiles : Need to talk. NOW.

He was quick to put the phone away and look up to the girl looking for a excuse “ I have to go , coach set up a talk with the lacrosse team, the class is just around the corner” he said before turning around starting to walk away.

’’ Liam?“ Her voice stopped his from walking but he didn’t turn around ” You never told me if you believed them or not’'

As he was about to answer , he turned to face her and noticed her being gone, he sighted before picking up the pace and walking out the school to meet with stiles.

 **
He finally found Stiles and the rest of the group behind the school buses and after looking around to se if anyone had followed him. “You really couldn’t wait until the class wa-” Scott whisper-yelled before being cut off by Stiles direction his focus on Liam.

’'Did you smell it?“ Stiles asked so fast the words were almost hard to make out. ’'Smell what? What are you talking about , Stiles I swea-” “Smell it on her ” Stiles replied waving his arms around

“ Come on guys , Scott and Malia got a scent” “We got a scent but it wasn’t…” Malia said trying to find the right word to describe it.

’'She isn’t completely like us’’ Scott finished for her looking over to Liam.

’'If she isn’t one of you’’ Lydia said looking to a point behind them to where Y/N walked out of school , carefull not to be seen and walked to the parking lot where Theo was waiting with a smirk “ Than what or who is she?’'

This was not requested but I really wanted to write this hihi.
   Part 2 anyone?

TAMORA PIERCE

Thank you to my absolute favorite author, Tamora Pierce. She is an inspiration and EVERY girl should read her books. It is truly refreshing to find fantasy, adventure books with female protagonists. Yet the heroines are relatable and human-like for all their amazing qualities and magics. Not only that, but it’s the only fantasy book I’ve ever come across to talk about periods in a natural way (and that’s what they are -NATURAL). AND Tammy writes without slut shaming. Continuing the wonder that is Tamora Pierce Novels, we find openly LGBT characters of all kinds and even polyamorous people. Never in any book before have I encountered that. To top it off, her girls are fiercely feminist, without compromising their femininity unless THEY want to. Kel wears a dress every night specifically to remind the boys that she, a girl, is among them. Switching to Tammy’s other realm, an additional must read is Will of the Empress, showing clear references and illusions to rape and rape culture, with our protagonist fighting it every step of the way. To sum up, The Amazing Tamora Pierce is my inspiration and the reason I myself am a feminist. Her characters are strong, independent, and varied. All sorts sexualities, nationalities and personality types are included. Characters from backgrounds of all sorts, with varying abilities, some even suffering PTSD. Strongly recommend to EVERYONE.

The Sound of Music

Summary: Sehun catches you staring at him on the subway and assumes that you’re checking him out - and you kind of are, but not in the way he thinks.

Pairing: Sehun x You

Sehun’s POV

Sehun hates riding the subway.

Is it an efficient system? Sure. Is it reliable and organized? Yeah. Does that make it any more appealing to him? Not a chance.

Right now he’s taking the orange line to downtown, and apparently so are the other hundred people on the T because each stop only brings him closer and closer to being crushed to death. Currently, he’s part of a sandwich that consists of one extremely pregnant woman – whom he would have offered a seat if he had one, three children that are apparently deriving great pleasure from kicking him in the shins, and one stout man with a mop of curly hair and ridiculous body odor. Sehun mutters a prayer to several deities asking for patience and tugs his face mask up with a sigh.

At the next stop, the one right before downtown, several people filter out of the subway car, and Sehun plops down on an empty seat with a breath of relief. He’d spent far too many hours at the dance studio yesterday and his knees are now protesting like an old woman’s. But that’s simply the price of being the lead choreographer for his university’s dance company – and he loves it all, the pain, the sweat, the grind. And despite the aches in his body, Sehun finds himself tapping his feet to some imaginary song, mapping out different moves in his head.

He’s so caught up in the moment, feet pattering and fingers drumming and shoulders rolling, that he almost doesn’t notice the girl. Almost. And he wouldn’t have noticed her if it weren’t for the fact that she keeps glancing over at him occasionally. And, even more curiously, after looking at him she then scribbles something in the notebook on her lap. Is she…taking notes on him?

“Really y/n it’s been four months are you ever going to talk to him?” y/f/n said rolling her eyes at me.

I ignored her peering through the bookshelf at thee Liam Dunbar. He was only the cutest boy in the ninth grade. The only problem was he is super popular, he hung out with a bunch of juniors, one of them being Lydia Martin a.k.a the prettiest, most popular girl in Beacon Hills. I wasn’t popular, not even in the slightest. I was the nerdy girl who boys didn’t even give a second look to.

“we’ve been over this thousands of time y/f/n Liam Dunbar is well Liam Dunbar and i’m well underqualified” I said resting my head on my hand and admiring how handsome he is.

“Liam I uh think you have a shadow.” I heard one of his junior friends say laughing.

Liam looked over at where I was standing, I quickly ducked down hoping he hadn’t seen me staring.

“sometimes I wonder about you y/n” y/f/n said collecting our books.

I was about to respond to her but the bell rang signaling free period was over. I walked to my last class of the day which was science class. I was playing all the scenarios in my head that would never be a reality. I went to my usual spot which was at the front of the class. Liam came in shortly after me. I hid my face in my science book. He took his usual seat which was at the back of the class.

“okay class today we’re going to be working in pairs for our chemical equations so everyone pick your partners quickly and we’ll get started.” Our teacher said handing out the papers with the problems on it.

I sighed. I hated partner work because I usually ended up working by myself. People didn’t necessarily like a girl who outsmarted them.

“hey uh y/n do you need a partner?”

I turned around trying to look cute.

I couldn’t believe it thee Liam Dunbar knew my name and he wanted to be my partner! Most likely it’s because i’m the smartest in the class and president of the science club but hey i’ll take what I can get!

“hello? do you need a partner?” Liam asked again laughing a little bit.

“yeah that’d be great.” I said smiling a little too widely.

I was pretty impressed with myself, I talked to him and didn’t even stutter! Liam sat down and we started working on our problems. I was flying through them quickly having seen most of them before.

“wow you’re really good at this.” Liam said looking at my almost finished paper.

“oh it’s uh not that hard you just have to make sure that both sides of the equation are balanced and then you rewrite it with the balanced charges in front.” I said leaning over him and showing him on his own paper.

this was my first conversation with the boy I’ve been admiring for four months and I totally just geeked out on him. I would definitely kick myself for that one later.

“oh I get it!” Liam said doing the next problem successfully by himself.

I smiled at him finishing the problems on my paper.

“so uh y/n did you find everything you needed at the library today?” Liam said not looking up from his paper.

I could feel my face heat up. I thought I was being sly with my staring but I guess he had caught me.

“I uh yeah it was great.” I said my voice cracking a little bit.

Liam let out a little chuckle. Gosh why did he have to be so perfect. We continued to work on our paper. Every once in awhile I would look up at his perfect features, this time when I looked up he was looking at me too.

I could feel my heart race. I honestly thought it was about to beat out of my chest.

“so uh y/n you know if you want..” He started but was cut off by the bell ringing signaling the end of the school day.

The teacher called me up to his desk. I looked at Liam with apologetic eyes as I walked up to Mr. Preston’s desk.

“hey I need you to go over these scientific equations before science club tomorrow.” Mr. Preston said handing me a paper stack about a mile high.

I quickly shook my head yes, wanting nothing more than to find out what Liam was about to tell me. I turned around, but Liam was gone. I sighed, of course this would happen to me. Mr. Preston had to go to a meeting so I was left alone with nothing but my thoughts and a stack of science papers. I kept thinking about what Liam was going to ask me today. I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn’t realize that I had lost track of time. I looked at the clock seeing that it was already 6:00 PM. I quickly flipped through the giant stack of papers. As I was working on the last one I heard a loud crash coming from the hallway. I stood up walking out into the hallway but it was empty.

“hello? Is anybody here?” I called down the empty halls.

I shrugged my shoulders before turning to walk back into the science classroom. I heard another loud crash. I quickly turned around but this time the hallway wasn’t empty. There was this tall thing covered in bones. It had blood running down the skull.

The creature stared me down slowly taking a couple steps forward. I turned on my heels sprinting down the hall. I kept looking back to see if the creature was following me and it was.

“somebody help me!” I screamed tears running down my cheeks.

I turned to look back at the bone creature when I crashed into something hard. I screamed as I fell down.

“hey y/n look at me, its okay you’re okay.”

I looked up to see Liam clutching me to his chest. If the situation weren’t so serious I would of fainted at his actions.

“Liam it was right there, it was following me.” I cried looking down the hall, but the bone creature was nowhere in sight.

“it’s okay, it’s gone now. I won’t let it hurt you.” Liam said picking me up in his arms.

He ran out of the school and to a blue jeep. He sat me down on the hood and used his thumb to wipe one of the tears falling down my cheek.

“Liam what was that thing?” I asked not being able to control how shaky I was feeling.

“I wish I could tell you, and maybe one day I can but right now I just need you to know you’re safe with me and I also need you stay here and wait for me, can you do that for me?” Liam said rubbing his hands up and down my arms.

I shook my head yes and he ran back into the school. I didn’t know what was going on but I trusted Liam. After a good couple of minutes Liam came back out with his two junior friends I believe their names are Scott and Stiles. He ran up to me pulling me into his arms.

“were going to take you home okay?” Liam said placing his hand on my cheek.

I shook my head again, not trusting my voice after everything that had just happened. Liam held me in his arms the whole ride to my house. When we got to my house he told his junior friends to go on and that he’d walk home. We walked up to my porch steps hand in hand. He sat down pulling me into his lap.

“are you okay do you want to talk about it?” Liam asked carefully looking me up and down.

“at the library today did you see me staring?” I asked laughing a little.

“yeah I did, but it was okay. do you want to know why it was okay?” Liam said brushing a piece of hair behind me ear that had fallen.

“why?” I asked my voice still shaking.

“well the truth is I’ve been loving you from afar as well."

Liam pulled me to him crashing his lips on top of mine. Suddenly I forgot about everything that happened and just lived in that moment. The boy I had loved from afar has also been loving me this entire time.

Coffee ; Malfoy (Alternate Universe)

draco malfoy because he’s amazing in protecting and saving a lady :’)

The first time Draco saw her - she was reading a book in the train, her eyes following the flow. She was wearing a denim jacket and a pair of pretty rosy sneakers, and he found her stunningly beautiful.

It all started when a gang of boys came rushing in, all of them seemed to be laughing at a joke. Draco sensed everyone’s discomfort around him, but the girl didn’t bother to look - she kept on reading, being wonderfully engulfed in whatever she was reading.

“Hello, pretty lady-” one of the boys said, sitting beside her. “How ya’ doing?”

She looked up for the briefest moment and continued her reading, as if oblivious to the question. The boy cleared his throat and put an arm around her, and she looked up with a glare.

“Excuse me?”

The boy hummed; “The name’s Bradley. What’s yours?”

She rolled her eyes, and before she could continue her reading, the boy snatched her book and examined the backside.

“What’s so good about this book?”

“I need you to give it back,” she said through gritted teeth, her arms folded. “And the name is (Y/N) - if you snatching my book is a payback for me not answering your question.”

“(Y/N), huh?” He smiled, and Draco could only watched them from the left corner of the train. “Nice name - it suits you.”

“Yeah? Great. Time to give my book back.”

“Oh, no, no-” he looked around and earned a laugh from his obnoxious friends, “You’ll have to earn it back.”

“Earn it back my ass,” she spat, and the boy smiled. “That’s my book - My money, mind you.”

“How should she earn it back, friends?” He called out to his friends, and received back multiple inappropriate replies.

She stood up angrily to wait in front of the door, ignoring the snarky remarks and calls from the boy and his friends. She didn’t understand one bit - why wouldn’t people defend her?

“Are you people okay with this?” She started, and Draco’s eyes followed hers. “Are you fine with teenage-dirtbags like these boys cat-calling your daughter? Your friend? Yourself? If this is what you people are okay with, I am sick with everyone!”

The train arrived at a stop and she went out as quick as her sneakers could bring her, not stopping at anything. Draco tightened his grip on his bag, wondering how on earth could he feel sorry for her.

He should’t be sorry - he would’ve done the same if there weren’t many people around her. But something from what the girl said hit him, as if how he treated women ever since he started high school was wrong… disgusting

He found himself in front of the boy, his fists curling. His order was simple, but the boy didn’t seemed to be listening - he was, instead, looking boringly at the book, oblivious to the approaching lad.

“I need her book.”

The boy looked up to see a pair of cold, grey eyes that belonged to a platinum blonde headed boy.

“Excuse me?” The boy asked amusingly, as if talking to a child. “Who’re you?”

Draco stiffened up, “Dude, look, what you did is so wrong, and I need her book back.”

He held the book up in front of him and pulled it away once Draco made a move to grab it, “Why would I give a hot girl’s book to a blonde-clown like you?”

“Don’t call her that!”

“What? Hot? Come on, blondie, surely you’re not offended by that, are you? She is a hot person - the way she moved though, you should’ve seen the way her bum just-”

It didn’t take that long for Draco to threw a punch onto the boy’s face, causing him to land on the floor, his lips starting to bleed. He swore as Draco shook his fist off, believing that it would sooth down the bruise that was starting to form.

Without thinking any longer, he grabbed her book and exited the train before the door could close and the train will move to its next stop, not wasting his chance to yell a dickhead right before the door closed.

He looked around wildly to find the girl, hoping beyond hope she wouldn’t have gone far, but he couldn’t find her - her (H/C) coloured hair, her piercing (E/C) eyes.

He spotted her, ascending up the stairs, almost leaving the station.

He ran towards her, trying his best not to push anyone on his way to her. He stopped directly behind her, holding his breath as if terrified she would sense a struggling lad who wanted to return a stolen book to her.

“Hey, um, you-” he tapped her shoulder, and she looked back with an even deadlier glare.

“I have your book.”

The girl looked up from the book to his face, the book to his face. Draco was nervous, somehow, and he tried to stop himself from doing anything embarrassing.

“How did you?” She grabbed her book, turning from one side to one side as if not believing the fact that someone have gotten her book back.

“It’s a long story,” he smiled, and held his hand out.

“I’m Draco, by the way.”

“I’m- HOLY SHIT, DID YOU PUNCHED HIM?” She grabbed his hand, running her finger along his bruised knuckles. “I’m so sorry if-”

“No, no, I’m fine,” he smiled, and she smiled back.

(Y/N).”

“Oh, right, yeah-” he looked at her awkwardly, and cleared his throat, “I’ll see you around then?”

She felt something that can be defined as - ‘that’s it? give me my book back and goodbye?’

“Yeah. Bye. And thanks.”

He smiled and turned to face the other side, and walked a step away from her, only to turn and faced her again.

“Would you… would you like to have coffee? Like right now?

“What?”

“Would you like to have coffee with me? It’s okay if you don’t; just thought it would’ve been nice to ask you.”

“Me? Coffee?”

Draco nodded and liked the way her mouth stretched onto a big smile -

Wonderful.”

————————————————

I let out a sigh of relief as the train took off down the tracks. I watched as the town I once knew and loved flew passed me. I wondered what He would do when He came home from work to find me gone. I fidgeted with the strap of my duffle bag before deciding to pull out my book to help the time pass.

“Hello? Sorry to disturb you, but would you mind if I sat here?” A voice said.

I shook my head without meeting the stranger’s eye. Yes, I would prefer to be sitting by myself but considering I bought the last ticket for this train, I knew it wasn’t going to happen. I heard the stranger let out a heavy sigh as he placed his bag under his seat.

“Whatcha readin there? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“Uh, it’s called Ordinary People. By Judith Guest. It’s my favorite book, I’ve read it like 10 times.”

“Huh, maybe I’ll read it sometime.”

“Oh you definitely should, its incredible.”

I finally looked up from my book to see a very handsome boy smiling at me.

“I’m Tom by the way.” He said as he extended his hand to me.

“Uh, I’m Y/N.” I said as I shook his hand.

“Beautiful name for a beautiful girl.”

I blushed at his compliment and closed my book and looked back up at the him.

“So what’s bringing you to the city? And by train? Not many people go on these anymore.”

Tom smiled and looked out the window.

“Well, I do a lot of traveling. I’m always in the air and so I just wanted to see the trees for a change. And I’m staying in the city, actually. I just felt like I was going insane from only seeing buildings and angry people everywhere I went and I need some time to figure things out so I found the smallest town I could find outside of Atlanta and left for the weekend. What about you?”

“Uh, that’s a story for another time…”

“That’s alright. Let it be yours.”

“Well, your accent gives it away that you don’t live here, so why are you in America?”

“I’m an actor. Filming a movie.”

“Oh, I love movies! What movie are you filming?”

Tom let out a light laugh as he looked down and fiddled with his thumbs.

“Uh, Spider-Man, actually.”

“Wait, really!? I love Spider-Man! Are you the guy that plays him in Civil War? I haven’t gotten to see it yet but I want to so bad. See, my boyfri- ex boyfriend wouldn’t let me go see it.”

I looked down to avoid Tom’s confused face, hoping it would give him the hint to not ask any questions.

“Well, maybe I can take you to go see it sometime.”

“Uh, yeah! But if you don’t want to you don’t have to. I’m sure you’ve already seen it like 500 times…”

“Yeah, but never with a girl as beautiful as you.”

“Pft, are you kidding me? Have you seen Scarlett Johansson!?”

Before Tom could reply I heard my phone go off. I reached into my bag to pull it out and felt my heart stop.

No.

He wasn’t supposed to be home this early.

I felt my heart drop to my stomach as I looked at His name written on the screen.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and turned my phone off before shoving it back in my bag.

I felt Tom’s gaze on me. I looked up and gave him a weak smile, trying to get him to drop it.

Luckily, he did.

—3 months later—

I laid on the couch, wrapped up in Tom’s arms. We started dating shortly after we met. I didn’t think I would be able to date anyone for while after what happened with Him but, Tom was different. I knew he was different because he cared.

Unlike Him. I knew He was searching for me. I had been forced to ditch my phone and buy a new one to get Him to stop calling me and leaving hurtful voicemails.

Now, 3 months later, the thoughts of Him felt like only a distant memory of a childhood nightmare.

But that quickly changed.

Tom and I were watching The Way Way Back when it happened.

First there was the pounding on the door.

“I’ll get it, love.” Tom sweetly whispered in my ear. He kissed the side of my face and got up from the couch.

I instantly missed the feeling of his arms around me. I turned my attention back to the film, thinking it was just Harrison who forgot his key again.

But then I heard it.

I heard Tom’s angelic voice asking who they were but getting cut off by a punch to the jaw.

And then His voice calling out my name.

I sat up immediately and felt my self beginning to hyperventilate.

But while I was breathing hard, it felt like there was no oxygen in my body at all.

As His figure walked into the room, I felt myself black out from fear.

I didn’t even feel Him pick me up by my hair and throw me into the glass coffee table.

I didn’t even feel the blood begin to fall from my skin from where the glass had cut it open.

I didn’t even hear Tom scream my name.

I didn’t hear Tom tackling the guy.

I didn’t hear Harrison come in and call the police.

I didn’t hear the ambulance as they asked me questions.

But I watched all of it.

I could see everything.

I could see Tom attacking Him.

I could see Tom as he stood over me, crying.

I could see his lips saying words like, “Please say something, love” or “Please don’t leave me” as tears slipped from his eyes.

I woke up hours later. I looked around and saw Tom sitting to my right, holding my hand tightly as he cried into my side.

“Tom?” I asked.

His head whipped up and let out a sigh of relief when he saw me awake. He immediately began to pepper my face with kisses and held me tightly to him.

“Thank god you’re okay. He’s gone, Y/N. They’ve locked Him up. You never have to worry about Him again. I have you and I will always protect you. I love you, Y/N. So much.”

And those words, those few words, put every little broken piece in me back together.

I wonder if you talk about me when girls ask if you’ve been in love before

  • Niece: I love the Hulk! And Wonder Woman!
  • Me: Did you know there's a girl Hulk? She's a lawyer! Like daddy!
  • Niece: THERE'S A GIRL HULK?! IS SHE GOOD?! ARE THERE OTHER GIRL HEROES?!
  • Me: Oh boy. Let's get our learning on
  • *proceeds to teach my niece about Lady Thor, Captain Marvel, Squirrel Girl, She Hulk, and Spider Gwen*
  • I win at being a nerd aunt. Empowering kiddos!

Shea Fontana, the writer of DC Super Hero Girls and the books based on it, answered questions from fans yesterday and today. Here are the two questions I asked her on Twitter:

Lots of fans have been wondering if/when Raven will be in the series other then the books but now it’s solidly confirmed Raven will be appearing in the webseries sometime soon and Tara Strong will be reprising her role.

Plus she pretty much confirmed that Beast Boy does indeed have a crush on Raven. Hits and Myths already teased at that but still thank you Shea Fontana! Put BBRae in something and the fans start losing it.

I think Beast Boy and Raven will be very close friends in this series but Beast Boy pretty much already has a crush on her though but I think Raven probably will be unaware of it however. It might go something like that but I dunno what she really has planned for these two. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

So be prepared for Raven appearing in the series and watch out for some BBRae too!
