i’m reading a very manly 1950s account of a hunt for el dorado but i’m thirty pages in and the narrator has already described his traveling companion as “handsome” 4 times, “extremely handsome” twice, “exceedingly handsome” once, his voice as “quietly husky” and “a husky whisper,” his fingers as long and deft, his body as “tall and cat-like,” and his eyes as some variation of ice-blue at least three times.
just men being dudes. dudes being pals. it’s great. this is great.
“Winona is a little bitty thing. She is so willing to throw down with me. Like, I’m a big guy and a big presence and I have a loud voice, and she will READ ME. She’d be like, “I’m going! If it was your son!” – David Harbour
what she really means: when interviewers ask about finnpoe they always seem to do it in a way that’s slightly joking and like they don’t really take it seriously, but oscar isaac always responds in a way that is so respectful and treats the potential relationship between finn and poe as something earnest and important, not just a ~wacky fan thing~. He called it “beautiful.” You can tell he loves these characters so much and believes in their love. Even when interviewers or lucasfilm execs seem to be treating finnpoe like a joke, you can tell that oscar would be on board with it being canon in a moment’s notice because he respects his fans so much and understands his character so well and truly values the importance of gay love represented in cinema. He’s such a good man and we honestly don’t deserve him
