a story worth reading

Then suddenly, you met someone who told you the same story. Who told you about the same path you’ve walked through. And this time, you truly listened. You looked at them in the eyes while all the memories started coming back from the past. Suddenly you were like listening to an old song. You were like seeing an old scene you thought you have already forgotten. You were like in the darkness again. A darkness that was surrounded by voices you thought will never exist again. You were like watching an old movie. The one you don’t want to witness anymore. You’re hearing the same story from a different person. This time, the tears and sobs were not coming from you. It’s from someone you haven’t known when the same story happened to you. It was the same, yes, but still different. Because this time, you already understand. This time, you knew why it has to happen that way. This time, you were different. Because you already learned the lessons behind that story. And it’s time for you to try telling that someone how you overcome passing along that obstacle you thought you can never get through.

Reylo Fic Recs Part 2

Works in Progress

Hex by @pissbabysithlord For a moment he assumed she was someone’s familiar, but there were few witches in the area. Kylo sincerely doubted any of them would be so cruel as to have their companion fend for themselves in the streets, especially when considering how small she was. Still, there was something undeniably clever about her. He sighed; either way, it was of no consequence to him. Magical AU

Thwarted by @perrydowning It has been nine months since Starkiller and Kylo Ren has become something more. The light still pulls at him from time to time but after the price he has paid, he has been relentless in his pursuit of the dark. And then when Snoke had dared stand in his way, tried to take Rey from him … new power had been born that day. Black and deep. The endless abyss that is Kylo Ren in love.

Reformation by @corariley For the past six months, Rey has been living the life she only thought possible in her dreams. Finally having a family to call her very own, she believes that nothing can ruin her perfect world. Little does Rey know that a woman from Ben’s past is back with one goal in mind; to turn her dream life into a living nightmare. Set six months after CassonadeModern AU

Sovereign Loyalties by @clockwork-cameo While visiting Jakku for business purposes, Emperor Kylo Ren spots a scavenger who is unknowingly strong with the Force. Enticed by her beauty and her power, Emperor Ren decides he must have her and will do anything he can to get her. When Rey is taken to the Empire of the infamous Kylo Ren to be his pseudo concubine, she finds herself attracted to him despite her best efforts. Determined to go back to Jakku despite her attraction to him, Kylo offers her a deal she cannot refuse and Rey agrees to stay with him in exchange for his help in finding her family.

Spotlight by on_my_toes Rey wakes up from an accident to discover two equally horrifying things: the last five years of her memory are gone, and somehow in those five years she ended up married to world famous movie star Ben Solo. But as she struggles to reclaim the lost pieces of her past, she is slowly but surely discovering that everything in her happy, well-publicized marriage is not what it seems. Modern AU

The Girl on the Stairs by PoorQueequeg The year is 1913 and it is Winter in Moscow, the snows are frequent and the ice never melts. Kylo Ren is a respectable gentleman, except of course, when he isn’t. Historical AU

Before the very special moment comes, you expect the sun to rise in the morning. So it will light the whole day. You expect it to celebrate with you while you turn your head up high and smile at the sky. Before you went to surprise your friend on his own house, you expect him to be there knowing he would not go anywhere else. Before you call your best friend to tell her stories in the middle of the night, you expect her to answer your call and tell you that she has her ears open to everything you’re going to say. When you fall on your knees while you are surrounded by a lot of busy people, you expect someone to lend you a hand and lift you up on your feet. When you fall in love with someone who matters to you the most, you expect to be with them forever knowing that you will never fall out of love with them. Never. Yet when your dreams shattered to the ground, when your heart gets broken, you become disappointed and blame yourself for expecting too much. Your walls break down and you let them be replaced with negativities. Suddenly you lie awake at 3am thinking what you have done wrong. Thinking if there’s still a way for you to step your feet and walk on. It rains. Stars are falling. People are leaving. One by one. Not all at once. As if they let you see them disappear like leaves on Autumn. But you and your hope is still there, sleeping and waiting for your call. You knew that expectations are different from love and hope. And you still have the latter. Your heart is still beating. This world is still revolving around the sun. The stars are still going to shine. Billions of people are still alive. And you’re still there, breathing, existing. Hope, my dear, but never expect. Because in the end, with love, it still remains. And someday you will understand that these things are some of the best things you’ll ever have in your life. That even if you refuse to feel them in a while, these are some things you’ve been possessing from the very start.

gabisnotfab  asked:

Can you Rec me your favorite long fic drarrys? Any kind tbh but like 75k and up? Sorry I'm like desperate for long ass fanfics. Thank you!!

Omg I’m crying tears of joy at your ask!! Long fanfictions are the reason why I live!! Many of these recs below are classics or very well-known within the Drarry fandom, and all of them are beautifully written. So if you haven’t read them, go read them now!

  • Twist of Fate - by Oakstone730 (302k)
Draco asks Harry to help him beat the Imperius curse during 4th year. The lessons turn into more than either expected.
(I cried so many times during this fic - reading it was such a roller-coaster of a ride, spanning from 4th year to post-war! Draco and Harry (eventually) get together, but the looming war causes Draco to wipe every single memory of their relationship from Harry’s mind. I don’t want to spoil too much, but the story is very dramatic with heaps of angst thrown in)

  • Temptation on the War Front - by alizarincrimson (180k)
Draco Malfoy is forced into hiding with the Golden Trio and dragged into their search for horcruxes. What ensues is a journey of redemption, unexpected friendships and an unwanted, turbulent romance with Harry Potter.
(I’ve recently gotten into the whole ‘Draco joins Golden Trio and helps them find horcruxes’ and I’m loving them so much! He’s still overly snarky and insufferable to the Trio - which is amazing. The angst and drama levels in this fic were skyrocketing, and the long slow-burn nature of this story will make you want to scream in frustration, An absolutely brilliant story that’s definitely worth a read!)

  • Synthetic Bonds - by mypetelephant (116k)
Harry has always been the golden boy of Malfoy Corporation, earning the respect of Lucius and the resentment of his high school rival, Draco. But Lucius has a business proposal that involves Harry becoming a Malfoy..by marrying Draco. Non-magic AU.
(Ahh this was a magnificent read. I’m not a big fan of non-magic au’s, but this fic was an exception! I completely fell in love with the whole plot, characterisations and dynamics of the whole story)

  • Mental - by sara_holmes (186k)
Harry has had quite enough of sharing his mind with someone else, thankyouverymuch. A miscast Legilimecy spell says otherwise.
(The storyline of this fic is so original, where Draco and Harry are able to read each other’s thoughts because of a Legilimecy spell gone wrong. It has one of the best characterisations of Draco I’ve ever seen, and it’s a lovely read)

  • Azoth - by zeitgeistic (88k)
Now that Harry is back at Hogwarts with Hermione for eighth year, he realises that something’s missing from his life, and it either has to do with Ron, his boggart, Snape, or Malfoy. Furthermore, what, exactly, does it mean when one’s life is defined by the desire to simultaneously impress and annoy a portrait? Harry has no idea; he’s too busy trying not to be in love with Malfoy to care.
(Harry is an apprentice under Snape’s portrait to become a Potions Master. Draco is being taught by McGonagall to become a transfiguration Master. And then the two boys create a Philosopher’s Stone together. This story is all about self-discovery for Harry, and realising what he wants in life. It’s such a delight to read!)

  • Turn - by Saras_Girl (306k)
One good turn always deserves another. Apparently.
(This fic destroyed me! A strange man gives Harry a glimpse into a life where after the Sectumsempra incident, Harry offers his Help to Draco. He’s transported to this alternate reality, but because it’s only a glimpse, Harry has to come back to his real life. It’s devastating when he comes back though, as he’s fallen so in love with the alternate reality where he and Draco are together. All of the characters are stunningly portrayed and I was completely engrossed in the story)

  • Such Great Heights - by softlyforgotten (93k)
Draco Malfoy, wide-eyed and pale and in a decidedly ragged shirt, was crouched next to the pile of whatever the dragon had been eating.
Harry threw himself to a halt and yelled, “Merlin, how many times do I have to save your life?”
(I fell in love with this story right away because the story’s about a dragon - and not just any dragon - it’s the dragon the Golden Trio stole from Gringotts during the war. And Draco! Omg, Draco’s been caring for this dragon by feeding, protecting and keeping her safe because she’s wanted by the Ministry)

  • Kiss Me (Under the Light of a Thousand Stars) - by Iwao & Sophie_French (114k)
Harry rescues Draco Malfoy from Azkaban, where he has been imprisoned for three years after the war. Draco is not as Harry remembers, as Azkaban leaves its mark on even the strongest of wizards. With no memory of who he was or how he came to be in Harry’s care, Draco needs Harry’s help if he is to have any hope of making a full recovery. But Harry has his own demons to fight and together with saving Draco, Harry must also discover a way to find himself.
(This fic will honesty take your heart and tear it up into a million tiny, little pieces! Amnesia!Draco is so devastating, but reading the story is worth the heart-ache you’ll feel)

  • All Our Secrets Laid Bare - by firethesound (149k)
Over the six years Draco Malfoy has been an Auror, four of his partners have turned up dead. Harry Potter is assigned as his newest partner to investigate just what is going on.
(The characters in this story are all beautifully represented. And I loved the idea of magical tattoos!)

  • The Light More Beautiful - by firethesound (81k)
Thirteen years after Draco accepts Potter’s help escaping the horror of his sixth year, he returns to England where he makes the unfortunate discovery that Potter is still as obnoxious as ever. And worse, more than a decade overseas hasn’t been enough to dim Draco’s obsession with him.
(Time will honestly fly by when you’re reading this story! The characterisations are perfect and the fic is just so realistic - It felt like I wasn’t even reading fanfiction and it was just another part of the HP canon universe (omg I wish though))

  • A Thousand Beautiful Things - by geoviki (108k)
Draco Malfoy struggles with changed fortunes, shifted alliances, an ugly war, and an unusual spell, with the help of a concerned professor, an insightful house-elf, and an unexpected Gryffindor friend.
(Chapter one detailed events during the war where Draco turns against Voldemort and becomes a spy for the Order. The 2nd chapter was all about life after the war, where Harry is under a curse that makes him verbally insult all those he loves and the only way to break the curse is if someone takes a vow of silence for 7 months. Although it felt like I was reading two separate stories, I loved how the author drew links from each era and connected them together. Fabulous fic.)

So, Tumblr thought it would be cool to eat my birthday post to my lovely friend and dark counterpart @optomisticgirl….which is actually super NOT cool. Anyway, I’m posting this a little late, but here it is! Happy day of birth, my Aries partner-in-crime! You are a lady, a scholar, and a wonderful human being.

A little classic literature and verbose Killian smut :) M-rated for certain.

“Well, that’s a long face if I’ve ever seen one,” Granny announced, leaning over the counter to snatch the empty hot chocolate mug. “What’s got you down, Sheriff?”

Lifting her frustrated eyes from the leatherbound book she’d borrowed from the library at Belle’s insistence, Emma attempted a casual smile before addressing the inquiry of the woman who owned the place. It was a rather half assed try, but what was the point in pretending all was well when it certainly was not? They’d been chasing their tails for days over how to put a stop to the Evil Queen’s most recent reign of terror, galavanting through a handful of untold stories until they landed on an author who was dreadfully familiar and the answer to all their problems - according to an odd inkling Henry had while thumbing through a newly discovered version of the storybook. If she’d known sending him with Killian to the author’s abandoned mansion in search of an alternate text would amount to her reading not one but four Shakespeare books - well, she definitely would have thought twice about needing more information.

The whole idea was starting to feel like ‘much ado about nothing’ - pun very much intended.

Feedback Challenge!

There’s a wonderful post circulating reminding everyone that fanfiction writers spend hours and hours, days, weeks, months, years, working on stories that they provide to you all for free. Often, I feel like the quality of these stories rival (and surpass, even) that of published novels, so it’s really incredible to me that as a reader, I am able to read what essentially amounts to hundreds–thousands–of books at no cost.

Now, no one is obligated to comment on a story or message the writer to tell them how much they appreciate what they contribute to the fandom. But if you sit and read an hour’s worth of a story, please understand that it took way more than an hour of the writer’s time to create. If you liked what you read, sparing sixty seconds to write a comment is not too much to ask for, is it? It may be free media, but I like to think of it more like “pay what you can” in the form of feedback.

So, I’d like to challenge you all.

I challenge you to comment on every fanfiction you read for the next two weeks after you read this post. You can put your comment in the tags, or on a reblog post, or in the replies, or through an ask. You can put your comment on FF.net or AO3. You can even message the writer directly to tell them what you thought! But please leave some feedback on every story, even if it’s just as simple as, “Love this story! Thanks for writing!”

Reblog if you’re up to the challenge! I hope after a couple of weeks, you’ll see that it isn’t a chore or a responsibility. It’s a true pleasure. It feels good to tell others how you appreciate them and their fic. And maybe from then on, you’ll be open to doing this every time! :)

Here are more things you can do to help writers!

To anyone who hasn’t read Skip beat: please read Skip Beat.

  • It’s about a girl who gets into the showbiz industry to exact revenge upon a bastard who used her and played with her heart.
  • It’s a wonderful story about a girl learning how to love herself before anything else.
  • The female protagonist is so very talented and so very strong.
  • On her journey to self discovery she makes new friends and enemies.
  • Almost all the women in the series are hardcore feminists who value their work and career over their love-life.
  • All the characters have amazing depth to them, and the emotions are very realistic.
  • The female protagonist is a hardcore badass that could possibly kill a man and still look cute doing it.
  • So is the male protagonist.
  • Hilarious and inspiring side characters.
  • Seriously the complexity of the characters is mind-blowing.
  • It has unique humour which will keep you laughing the whole night.
  • It also has angsty scenes that will make you cry.
  • It has good slow romance which is completely torturous.
  • Has fluff so sweet it’ll rot your teeth.
  • The plot is unique and quite frankly a masterpiece.
  • Basically Skip Beat! has all the elements of an excellent story.
  • Nakamura-sensei (the mangaka) literally planned out everything from the first chapter to the last, so there’s a lot of foreshadowing, which is really cool, and so the story is very grounded.
  • It also has an anime for those who prefer watching over reading.

Literally the only downside to this manga is the unattractive art style in the beginning, which later on gets better and trust me, the story is so worth it. So please read Skip Beat.

anonymous asked:

Can you give us some book recommendations?

Okay book recs. Oh my god I have so many. I have a question after this that say’s POC book recs, so I’m going to keep this post to book recs that arent poc to keep these separated just for the sake of the anon’s that asked.

Red Rising by Pierce Brown (Trilogy with a new book - a ‘spin off series’ coming out next year) - I will fucking promote this book series until I die. This is hands down, one of the best books I have EVER read. Honestly, for me it sort of beats out Harry Potter (Which if you know me, I’m obsessed with. I mean, I had a Harry Potter Sweet 16. [I’m from Long Island. Everyone there has a Sweet 16]) Not only is Red Rising extremely diverse and beautifully written,  but the storyline is incredible and the characters literally jump off the page. I dont think I’ve ever read a more human character than Darrow. Honestly PICK UP THIS BOOK. IT NEEDS MORE FUCKING ATTENTION.

^^^^bolded it so people know that this is the best book ever and needs the read.

Abarat by Clive Barker (Four books so far) - Now, this may not be everyones cup of tea. Maybe because I’m a painter, I appreciate him more. But his books are wonderfully illustrated with his paintings that follow along with the beautiful storyline. I recommend this book to the fucking stars. Its a fantastic story with amazing paintings. (Clive Barker, for those who don’t know, also created Hellraiser [Pin Head] and Midnight Meat Train along with a plethora of other stories. It’s worth the read.)

Song of Achilles (novel) - I mean, If you want to fucking CRY  then this is the book for you. It’s so fucking depressing but so FUCKING GOOD. I mean, if you know the story of Achilles, then you know why its depressing. But that doesnt take away from the beautiful story between Achilles and Patroclus. Definitely recommend this book.

Along with that last book, a book that I feel goes hand in hand with it:

Captive Prince by C. S. Pacat (trilogy) - Now. A lot of people have a problem with this trilogy. I personally, as a (mixed, black) poc, have no problem with this book. It’s about two kingdoms, one of poc, Greek-like, and the other of boujee af french-like, white kingdom. In short, the Prince from the Greece inspired Kingdom is framed and shipped away to the french kingdom as a slave. Now, he becomes a slave (as a dark skinned man) to a white prince. There are a lot of things that happen like he gets whipped and other horrible shit. People have a problem with the book because of the dynamic between the two. They find it racist and insensitive. Here’s a great post as to why people don’t like the post, and the second comment is why I read it. I honestly find it to be a beautiful story that develops amazingly over time. I definitely recommend it.

Kids of Appetite by David Arnold (novel) - I’ve just recently read this book and I absolutely fucking loved it. It’s an extremely diverse, beautiful story. Personally, I found the story sad, funny, heart warming, and inclusive. They brush upon the difficulties that black men specifically, have with the judicial system, by having an African man whom is loving and kind, constantly blamed for crimes that he did not commit. Again, it’s a really lovely book and this stuck with me for a very long time. I really recommend it.

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness (novel) - If you don’t want to fucking SOB then don’t read it. If you want a beautiful story, I recommend this book to the stars. Honestly, I went into the book not knowing shit about it, just that people loved it. Then I realized that it was about fucking cancer and I was about to throw my god damned book because I don’t fend well with sad things. THEN I found out that it’s also now a movie with Liam Neeson. Ugh. I havent seen the movie yet, but damn was this book magical and heart breaking and wow… Read it. I personally fucking loved it.

Fangirl  by Rainbow Rowell (novel) - I mean, I feel like this book actually summed up my early college experience lol! I was writing fanfiction, roleplaying, cooping myself up in my room - the only difference was, I didnt have a quirky, beautiful, sweet man to hold me as I read outloud to him (if you read the book, then you know what I’m talking about). Honestly, this was a fucking amazing book and I loved it so much. it was feel good and extremely nostalgic for people of my generation (’94-’96 specifically) really well. If you loved Harry Potter, grew up with it, went to the midnight book releases and movie screenings, submerged yourself in the fanfiction, then you will love this book. I thought it was fantastic.

which leads me to this rec.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (novel) - Ugh. So in fangirl, there’s a fanfiction that the main character is writing. I know that this book is not the fanfiction, but it is named the same thing - so thats a nice connection. Again, if you love Harry Potter, if you love shipping Drarry (i dont because I find it problematic. But I feel if you like Drarry) then youd love this. I mean honestly, if you just like a cute story, with ridiculous spells, and adorable love, then read it. If you love Harry Potter ESPECIALLY READ THIS BOOK.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (Trilogy) - Okay. Honestly, I havent seen many people promote this book series, but it is amazing and arguably, one of the most beautifully written trilogies that I have ever read (besides Red Rising. Ahem. Read it). It’s a wonderful story that comes together beautifully and is such a different book from your usual YA.

The Archived by Victoria Schwab (Series of two) - So, if Victoria Schwab sounds familiar, that’s because she also goes under V.E. Schwab okay. Listen. I know that everyone loves A Darker Shade of Magic. I havent finished that book yet and I bet it’s amazing. However, we cannot forget the other amazing books she has written. The Archived is such a lovely, creative story that deserves more credit. Honestly, I’ve never read a book like it before and it stuck with me for an extremely long time. Apparently there is a third book coming out that I have actually been waiting for forever. I’m not going to say much about it, but these books are wonderful and deserve the read.

Speaking of V.E. Schwab

Vicious by V.E. Schwab - This book deserves more recognition. Not only is the cover absolutely AMAZING, but the story is fuckign awesome. If you like Brandon Sanderson books, if you like superheros or Marvel and DC, read this fucking book. It’s fantastically written and needs to be read more. Get on it people.

I mean, these are just some books. I purposely stayed away from some YA  series because I feel like a lot of people know about them. But I mean, some YA series that are well known that I like are:

Obviously Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

The Darkest Minds  by Alexandra Bracken

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancy (ONLY THE FIRST FUCKING BOOK. THE REST OF THE SERIES IS SHIT AND IF YOU WANT TO JUST READ THE FIRST BOOK THATS COOL. COME TO ME AND I’LL TELL YOU THE REST BECAUSE THAT SHIT WAS RIDICULOUS. IT HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL, IF ONLY RICK YANCY DIDN’T SHIT THE BED. ALSO THE MOVIE WAS SHIT)

So anyway.. i think this is all I’ve got right now haha. I’ll put my favourite books written by poc in the anon above this!

@artblart here you go!

Sorry this has taken a while by my tumblr is playing up grrrrrrrrrr!

Pride, Prejudice, and more

author:  Jajungmyeon

YoonMin

AO3

Morden Day Pride and Prejudice AU

Description: A re-telling of the classic piece of work on finding love while dealing with issues of individuality and status, dreams and obligations, and promises and betrayals.

In which
Jimin cannot decide if he loves or hates Min Yoongi;
Seokjin tries not to, but has his heart broken;
And Taehyung constantly surprises everyone.

Comments: First of all, I would like to thank the person who told me to read this YoonMin fic based off of Pride and Prejudice. I forget if they did it anonymously or from their blog.  Because of you, I read this awesome 30 chapter and over 70,000 word story, till the sun was rising again.  And I regret nothing.

This story is based off of Pride and Prejudice, which deals with themes of family, friends, love, misunderstandings, social norms, social statues, unbreakable bonds, trust, betrayal, parental pressure, and misconceptions.  Is so wonderfully.  It is told in mainly Jimin’s POV, but the other characters POV’s are added to give a different prospective on the story.

Everything about how Jimin and Yoongi meet, to how they try not to fall for the other, to how they fall. Will have you on a roller coaster you don’t want to get off of.  The other members of Bangtan, some EXO, some GOT7, and an orignally character,  are wonderfully in this also and add so much dept to the story.  This is a long read but it will so be worth it.  So read it in one seating, like me, or several seating, just read this story.

The Kitten and the Lion

((A/N: A beginning. No love story immediately… but no love story worth reading ever starts that way. No, we begin with you, dear reader, as a licensed psychologist. Working for the Avengers. Very Harleen Quinzel, if you catch my drift. That’s all the backstory you need, so sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Pairing: Stark x Reader x Loki (triangle, eventual).

Word Count: 2.6k

Warnings: Language. Nerves.))

Entering the Avengers Tower was always such an arduous process. Sure, they had most of your records already given you’d already spent some time helping SHIELD, but to get to the top floor was a pain. Palm scan when you first entered along with the badge. Facial recognition before the elevator, and a retinal scan once you entered for the top floor.

When Tony Stark had called you a few weeks back it was hard not to be surprised at his request. But he trusted you, so he had said. You’d done some invaluable work deciphering personality profiles for a few of the harder targets but it had proved effective. Within a month they had managed to get their hands on hostile targets that had eluded them for a while. Psychology was your forte, despite the skepticism you’d come in with from others. It was such a questioned science.

How to Write About Japan – Patrick Sherriff – Medium
10 Infallible Rules
By Patrick Sherriff

Show the readers you really understand the mysterious Japanese in a way that no other foreigner ever has, by mentioning zen a couple of times and then delving deep into your psyche (or dog-eared copy of The Sword and the Chrysanthemum) and repeat “In Japan, they have a saying, the hammer hits the nail that sticks out.” They have lots of sayings in Japan, but this is the only one you need concern yourself with because it tells the reader exactly how the Japanese are inscrutably unique and uniquely inscrutable: because they have to do what the group says. In other countries this is called peer group pressure or me-too-ism, but in Japan it is the only story.

Spot on, sardonic, painfully true. Well worth a read.

superfans of tsoa who think that the whole iliad is patrochilles-centred make me wanna rip my eyes out.
like dude.
we are talking about a masterpiece composed centuries ago, dealing with the major themes of all history, born in Greece which is the motherland of philosophy and all the modern way of thinking, governing and living
AND YOU ACTUALLY THINK THAT THE ILIAS IS WORTH READING JUST BECAUSE OF A GROUND LEVEL LOVE STORY
I tell you, I’ve been studying ancient greek and Greek literature for years. I am definitely not gonna deny the relationship between achilles and patroclus (it even has a name in Greek, it’s called pederasty and it’s not the only one), I ship them very much, but really, there’s a lot more than catches the eye in that book.
honestly talking, if you wanna fangirl over some gay couples, that’s alright. but please, don’t take the fucking iliad as a fanfiction written for teenagers.

anonymous asked:

Um best Caryl smut you've read? Thanks! Like top 5. Xx

Oh I love getting these!

Okay in no particular order-

1. Hotter Than Hell by Emerald Kitten - this story is hot hot hot.

2. 7 Times Daryl Got Lucky by Lamport - all of this smutty one shots are really different from the next which always keeps it interesting,

3. Five Veils by Argent Gale - by far one of the best long chaptered smut stories I’ve read, however still marked as incomplete but definitely worth a read!

4. Housewarming by SamiWammy - this is a damn heated argument that reaches it’s boiling point, with extra smutty chapters after.

5. have yourself a smutty little christmas by lilabut - 24 smutty drabbles to fill your smut needs.

Thank you so much for the ask!

Dear Forever,
You’ve brought out the best and the worst in me. You exposed my poetic soul at such a young age and I am so grateful for that. I was young, naive, my heart was filled with good hope. I was familiar with the concept of caring. I sprinkled love into every little thing I did. I held love within me for pretty flowers, meaningful music, and magazine men. I threw the word love around like a billionaire spends money. You changed it all. I was raised on a belief that you wouldn’t cross paths with the love of your life until you were sitting in a bar at 25 and a gorgeous stranger bought you a drink. I was told that love could not exist before you worked a mundane 9-5 shift and paid your own taxes. Most of all, I was taught that love was stable. Love was reliable. Love was easy, love was simple. You turned me into a heretic. Loving you wasn’t simple. You were a complex whirlwind of emotion. It was more than hugging in hallways and sharing jokes. It wasn’t gazing into a pair of blue eyes, it was drowning in crystal globes with so much blue they could replace the seven seas. Loving you wasn’t just thinking about you before I fell asleep or drawing hearts beside your name in science class. Your name was etched into the lobes of my brain and I’d have it inked onto my skin if that’s what you wanted. You taught me the meaning of true love and you taught it to me in the most painful ways. I always believed that love was the warmest, most pure feeling on this planet. I never believed that such a warmth would be felt in my burning chest when you left again and again. I didn’t think that this warm love would trickle out of the puffy clouds I called eyes. It’s been years and you are still my favorite person in the entire world. I still hope that one day, you’ll change your mind as well as your ways, and we could listen to songs from middle school on repeat and eat strawberry Icebreakers. I still hold love for all the beautiful things I see, but you’ll always be my favorite love. Dear Forever, thanks for all we’ve been through.

im... curious about why you were covered in old lady pee now but go rest first. go. restore thy mind. LET THE STARLIGHT OF THY THOUGHTS RENEW THE VIGOR IN THOU BLOOD.

You are incredible.

Also I slept and now I am here to tell you the story of why I was covered in old lady pee. I want to preface this story by saying it probably wasn’t her fault (entirely) and that there are a number of health conditions that can cause bladder incontinence and that the old lady in question should not be made fun of. Make fun of me.

Here we go.

I’m a manager at a craft store and usually we close the store down with one manager one cashier and one sales person. For whatever reason on wednesday we closed the store down with two managers. This gave me the opportunity to spend MOST of my shift standing in the classroom/craft room doing work on the breakroom bulletin board. We close at nine and it was 7:45 when I came out of that room and decided I would finish that task later, I wanted to help clean up the store.

Well the woman who was on the sales floor that night prefers to sweep, and so the other closing chore is to clean the bathrooms. I don’t mind. You just spray everything and wipe it down, and change the trash. Sometimes you have to mop. It doesn’t take long. Our bathrooms are pretty safe anyway, they don’t see that much foot traffic.

SO I’m cleaning the bathroom mirrors when in walks this older, bigger lady. And I saw her and smiled because that’s what retail employees are trained to do. And she smiled too and proceeded to the second stall and began to pee. So anyway I am cleaning the first stall and I think “huh, what a really awkwardly splattery pee” to myself. Because it was very awkward sounding. Also it smelled.

It smelled BAD I mean bad. I’m talking when you go into a pet store and put your nose directly into the not-recently-cleaned ferret bedding. It smelled like ferrets. Again, she’s old and bladder and kidney issues are coming for all of us when we get old so I don’t say a word about it or even imply that I can smell it because that would be mean.

So she flushes and waddles out of the stall and then she doesn’t wash her hands which is an outrage pls even if you don’t wash your hands at home which is also bad PLS wash your hands when you use a public restroom because you never know if something exactly like this story happened before you.

ANYWAY I walk into that stall to clean it and her pee is literally all over the floor and all over the toilet and it’s like SO potent that smell okay I had to take a moment and I just think “Okay so I have to mop today” and I carry on.

Meanwhile this woman is walking around the store shopping even though at this point it is obvious she had an accident. So she continues shopping and I hear over our in-ear radio’s other employees saying “woah it smells kinda musky in here” and eventually she goes to check out. She says she had an accident to the cashier who, bless her heart, just had her wisdom teeth removed so she is nauseous from her pain medications and is struggling to smile and not make a face at her. The woman pays cash.

She didn’t wash her hands remember and now she’s paying cash and so this poor cashier has to take money from her hands knowing well and good those sticky coins have touched her hands which have touched her everything else. Also wash your hands after you handle money okay because now those bills are in circulation. You could touch them next.

So the woman pays for her stuff and she leaves and this is kind of mean but also hysterical. This little girl in line with her dad behind them says, as soon as the woman is gone, “Dad it smells like lizards in here.”

MEANWHILE I am done mopping now. I mopped up that puddle and I mopped the men’s room and I mopped the hallway and then I was ready to dump out the mop bucket. Of course in the exact moment I am lifting the bucket I hear the story about the girl who said it smelled like lizards and between that and the fact that I way overfilled the bucket, I dROP IT.

DROPPED. EVERYWHERE. IT SPLASHES LIKE A TIDAL WAVE CRASHING OVER AN UNSUSPECTING SHIP. I AM SOAKED ALL THE WAY UP TO MY THIGHS. IT ABSORBS INTO MY SHOES AND MY SKIN AND I’M LIKE DRIPPING AND I JUST STAND THERE.

I just stand there and think wow this just happened. So I have to clean up the water on the floor and you know what??? I remember that there’s a second manager there that night. And so I get on the radio and say “so this just happened” and I leave. Like I was done.

I did not even clock out like i just left. It was so bad I had to blow up a text chatroom with some friends and call another one at what I can only guess was like 4 AM her time just to tell her the story because it was so jarring. I went home and took the hottest shower I ever took and I burned off several layers of my skin but three days later I don’t think my soul has yet been cleansed.
