“Are you satisfied with the mess you’ve created out of me?”
“Am I satisfied with the mess I created out of you? What kind of question is that!?” It’d struck a chord with her more than she expected it to. Maybe she was just tired of it. “You weren’t the only one who didn’t want to fight. Sacrifices have to be made sometimes. Playing nice and letting people walk all over you isn’t an option! Why don’t you get that?”
“As for a mess, you’re breathing, alive and able to open your mouth to speak I think you’re a lot better off than some.” She snapped, seeing him again brought up quite the load of memories. The ones she couldn’t save, and the ones that had fought so valiantly that they paid the ultimate price. and here was this….punk who had the nerve to act as if she was the only one responsible. She knew when to take the blame and she would admit, she was at fault in some cases. But she was also following orders just as they were.
Genos x Saitama: "I think it's about time we stop avoiding the obvious" and "You want to move this conversation someplace more private?" :3c
What…happened here? It got angsty! WTF, BRAIN?! Haha, but I’m happy with it, so here ya go!
Cut is mostly for length, but there is a little NSFW at the very end.
It wasn’t often that the heroes had a chance to get together in a way that wasn’t either a) preparations for a global crisis, b) some sort of fundraiser or HA event, or c) as a result of an actual crisis that was happening. So when Fubuki booked a private event at one of the apartment buildings she owned, there was a surprisingly decent turn-out.
Saitama plopped down heavily into a large plush chair in the main living room of the suite. On the other side of the small group consisting of Zombieman, Mumen Rider, and King, he could see out into the glittering skyline beyond the bay windows. It was way, way more impressive than the view from his apartment, which was basically the road and the abandoned building on the other side.
“Hey, baldy.” Saitama glanced up as Badd settled into the adjacent couch. It was getting less and less weird seeing him in street clothes, since they had started hanging out after Garou moved in. In jeans, a white t-shirt and an open leather vest, he seemed pretty comfortable. “How’s it hangin’?”
“Oi, Badd. It’s…” he started, trailing off. Parties were definitely not his element, and Genos hadn’t seemed very present since they had gotten there. He had thought that his “student” would be happy to get out of their home for a while, but…come to think of it, he had been unusually quiet for a few days leading up to it, too.
“That good, eh?” Badd tipped back an amber bottle of some kind of beer, glancing at his phone with his other hand.
“Sorry. Where’s Garou? He didn’t come with you?”
“Nah. He’s still not great with being around heroes a lot. I think it just kinda reminds him of everything that went down, ya know? Hell, it took me a solid month just to convince him to hang out with you and DC.” He glanced up, as if noticing for the first time that Saitama was alone. “Say, where is your more mechanical other half, anyway?”
“Don’t know. He’s around here somewhere.”
Badd wrinkled his nose. “That’s…kinda weird. Usually he’s, like, glued to your side. Did ya have a fight?”
Saitama stopped and considered, tracing his memories back to the last few days. He could barely remember what he had for dinner beyond the last twenty-four hours, but he was pretty sure he would remember an argument. Not that he and Genos really fought anyway. They had a bit of a tiff when Genos had refused to let him pay for meals, but that was like ages ago (wasn’t it? Oh crap, he really was bad at remembering this stuff). “Not that I can recall,” he said finally.
It quickly became clear, and Ford had suspected this ever since he saw the 1 printed on the cover, that the book was just one volume in a set of journals. Considering one book contained one corner of the portal’s schematic, it would make sense that there were two more. One for each corner. But this was a terrible leap in logic. There could be twenty, for all he knew. So, on top of trying to figure out how to use the portal, he had to find the other Journals.
Jeez, I’ve done this before but now I’m in more fandoms and it’s lacking on my dash. So bare with me! Please reblog or like if you post a lot of these and I’ll check your blog! (A follow back would be rad but it’s alright if ya don’t)
