what if tony keeps visiting one orphanage and the kids change and he plays with them all, but this one kid stays. maybe they’re sick, maybe they’re just unlucky, but tony watches this tiny little toddler who was barely walking grow up and learn to speak and always recognise tony with a smile
and tony thinks, well, he’s getting older, less superheroing, and he has friends with kids, and maybe … maybe …
so he gets his lawyers on it
and the next time he visits the orphanage, he doesn’t leave alone. he carries the baby in his arms, and they’re clutching him tight, still afraid tony will disappear
and tony understands and makes sure to always show he’s there and it’s a long time before he can put the kid to sleep without them fearing tony will be gone in the morning
but they get there, because they’re family now
(but he still keeps going to hospitals to hug babies who need it and to orphanages to entertain the kids bc he adopted his kid and he loves them but he doesn’t want to abandon all these other tiny little humans)
Today I was a little bit sick, so I relaxed and I re-watched HTTYD 2. Stoick was really …the Vast. Many beautiful and sad feelings get my heart, so I wanted to painting him. Just a fast paint… Hope you like it. An hommage to a great chara and a great story.
watched from the doorway as Virgil made himself comfy on the sofa. The tot wrung his hands on the hem of his
shirt, twisting at the hips. He’d only
been small like this for a few hours, but his childish instincts were coming in
full force. Those coupled with his
already heightened emotions made for an…interesting combination.
overwhelming need for affection had set in even worse than it did when Patton
was an adult, and both Roman and Logan were busy. Roman, who was Patton’s normal call-to when
he wanted a hug, was busy in his kingdom trying to find a way to switch Patton
back to normal. Logan, who Patton always
went to for little gestures like handholding, was also busy searching for a way
to turn him back.
Which left Virgil to
And to cuddle.
If Patton could get
his legs to move.
squealing, propelling himself onto a very comfy looking Virgil. Virgil then jumped, curling in on himself at
the sudden noise and weight on top of him.
“P-Pat, what are you
Patton giggled and
dropped his head onto Virgil’s chest, quickly wrapping his small arms around
the anxious side’s neck as well as he could.
Virgil awkwardly tried to rearrange the two of them, slumping down a bit
farther so that he could lay down. He
moved Patton to his side, and quickly found himself curling protectively around
the child. Patton giggled and clung to Virgil’s
hoodie, hiding his face in the soft fabric.
It didn’t take long
for the two of them to fall asleep like that, Virgil holding Patton and
practically hiding him from the outside world, and Patton clinging to Virgil as
if his life depended on it. Of course,
for the four-year-old, he may have felt that life did depend solely on Virgil staying with him in that exact moment.
Random little GF Headcanons I’ve gained from re-watching the series.
Wendy and Soos both thought that Dipper and Mabel were gonna be like normal kids who need guidance and protection 24/7, which is why Wendy was so ‘just let him come he’s little’ in The Inconveniencing, but by the time Boss Mabel comes around they all realize that they’re basically independent and just let ‘em go.
Dipper and Mabel’s parents are those kinds of people that Stay Together For The Kids, despite not being happy anymore. It’s why Mabel is so into things like “Force Love!” and Dipper believes swooning someone requires you to monitor them closely.
Dipper once chugged two gallons of Mabel Juice on a dare. No one is allowed to speak of this.
The Bell was far from the first attempt Preston made to control Pacifica- it’s just the most effective. Sometimes she flinches when he raises his voice just right, or pats her head.
Dipper and Mabel learn through trial and error how to fix up floorboards, plumbing, vehicles, look they know how to fix things okay.
Wendy and Soos had this unspoken agreement with Stan that his house was always open to them, but they never felt interested in sitting around Stan’s living room unless they were really bored. Once Dipper and Mabel happened and Soos got the shack Wendy basically lives with them.
The day after they get the shack back from Gideon, Stan wakes the whole house up for a 1 a.m. trip to a waffle house to celebrate, grabbing Soos and Wendy on the way through. They all think it’s ‘cause they got the shack back/survived being attacked by zombies. It’s not.
