a game for the whole family

Baby Shower

We had our baby shower last weekend, it was cool to have the whole family together. Yes, even her mom that I still don't fuck with like that, and mines as well. We had a great time laughing listen to music and playing games. It might be worth have them over again. I was super glad my big brother and little sister came it was a highlight for me.

Sorry, we have been inactive I just been working and GK been trying to keep her stress down. My grandma came back to help Gavina since I been working more.

The Quad Squad Coming Soon- Three Princesses and One Prince.

Flygon has one of the most requested Pokemon so far, so here ya go. I drew the whole family. I’d meant to post this on the weekend, thanks for waiting! I hope everyone is having an excellent week so far.

I’ve been thinking about the monster-based franchises of my childhood, and how their mascots indicate the nature of their franchises.

Like, Pokemon has Pikachu:

It’s cute, it’s for the whole family, there’s definitely a lot of merchandising opportunities outside the games.

Then we have Digimon’s Agumon:

It’s more detailed. It looks edgier and darker. It’s endearing, but it’s more “cool” than “cute.”

And then there’s Monster Rancher, with… this.

The signs as things my friends as the signs have said

  • Pisces: Once you guys try dill dip you're gonna forget about daddies.
funny story

when I was in grade 6, i was really into the Hunger Games books. in the books there’s a couple parts where the author talks about Katniss and Peeta sleeping in the same bed and things like that. nothing too raunchy but enough to turn a 12 year old on. so around the time i was reading the books, i also had a huge crush on this one kid. i decided i was gonna make up a story about me and this boy sleeping in bed together much like Katniss and Peeta do in the Hunger Games. the story was about a paragraph long and was quite detailed and intimate for a 12 year old. after i wrote it, i decided to email it to my best friend but instead of sending it to her email, i sent it to her family’s email address. the next day at school she told me what happened and said that her whole family read the story. i was so mortified, especially since later that day her mom was taking me and my friend to our gymnastics class. when I did see her mom, she told me what a “descriptive” writer i was and asked when chapter 2 was coming

Ok so hear me out, a resident evil 7 fanfic where a random hardcore hillybilly ends up in the house but the thing is, he doesnt get that things are weird, like he finds the slabs of meat to be" just like my momma made em’ the bloody mess to be’ just like at my pal billys’ and the whole ure part of our family now to be'hoo wee well ill be glad to oblige folks’ and so lucas gets all uppity that this stranger aint reacting like hes supposed to, so he tries to scare him by chopping off his arm, and this guy goes ‘well ill be darned’ and realizes lucass growing his limbs back ands all like 'id like me some of that’ and basically becomes even stronger than lucas and evelines favourite without having a goddamn idea whats goin on

A raven in Germany plays with a twig: “All the corvid family - including crows, magpies and ravens - are very intelligent and like many intelligent creatures they learn and challenge themselves through play. At Slimbridge Wetland Centre we sometimes see whole gangs of crows using a stick for a game of tag. I’ve seen ravens flying upside down for no apparent reason, and I’ve even seen examples of raven leapfrog with a bird lying on its back whilst its mate repeatedly hops over it.”

22 Random Tidbits About Mass Effect Andromeda

1. Ryder is intentionally more of a blank slate than Shepard at the beginning of Andromeda. “Shepard came on the scene, and it felt like they’d already accomplished a lot and they’d done a lot and they’d seen a lot – but I hadn’t,” says creative director Mac Walters. “That whole universe was new to me, and so there was a bit of a disconnect between me and my player character right from the start. And so, with this, I’d really like us to close that gap as much as we can without going full amnesia.”

2. Your companion Liam has a British accent.

3. You find clues about what happened to the other arks. For instance, as you locate asari escape pods, you learn more about what happened to them and their ark, and that thread is eventually resolved in a mission.

4. Some quests take place on the planet where you discover them, and others point you toward new locations. “It’s about a 90-10 split,” says Walters. “Once you’re on a world, you should feel like you can spend your time there and complete the level. The rest are either resolved from somewhere else or send you somewhere else.”

5. Despite the series’ long history, the move to new hardware and adopting the Frostbite engine means BioWare built all systems, tools, and assets from scratch for Andromeda.

6. All of the systems (though not necessarily all of the content) are currently implemented in the game. Now it’s just a matter of “balance and tweaking,” according to Walters.

7. Enemies of the same class have different abilities based on their race.

8. Not all of the races from the original trilogy appear in Andromeda, but they may show up in future installments. “We’ve designed the IP in such a way that they can all show up,” Walters says. “For hopefully obvious reasons, they’re not all going to show up in the first game.”

9. The points you earn by gaining experience are applied to more than just your powers. It’s the same currency you use for other kinds of progression, like improving the hover time on your jetpack and increasing the Nomad’s speed.

10. The blistering heat of Elaaden is only one kind of environmental hazard. “Another planet you might have ice, or radiation, or another kind of hazard,” says producer Mike Gamble. “We’re trying to mix it up, and how you survive them will be different depending on the planet. Some might require a different Nomad upgrade, others will take shelter, and so forth.”

11. For players worried the scope expansion will dilute the experience: “The key for us has been ensuring that the content is rich and up to BioWare quality standards,” Walters says. “Believe it or not, as massive as this is, we’ve actually continued to restrain the scope as much as possible so we can bring quality to each of these areas and make each one memorable. That’s a term I use a lot – I want these places to be memorable. I don’t want it to be like, the white planet, the blue planet – I want to remember the names of the locations and the characters I meet.”

12. Think the default Scott Ryder looks a bit like original Mass Effect project director Casey Hudson? It’s not intentional, but the team thinks it’s a funny “ghost in the machine” moment.

13. Don’t expect the events or characters of the original trilogy to shape the state of the world in Andromeda. “We didn’t want to invalidate anything that people had done in the past, and we wanted to make sure everyone feels like they can be onboard, whether or not they have played before,” Walters says.

14. Before assuming the role of Pathfinder, Ryder’s title is “recon specialist.”

15. As you leave the Ark for the first time, your dad wants you to rub a good-luck rock on the way out.

16. About 20,000 humans are still asleep on the Hyperion when Ryder wakes up at the beginning of the game.

17. During sequences that might have just been non-interactive cinematics before, players now have a degree of control – like steering a character falling through the sky, or examining objects in a shuttle as a conversation is going on.

18. “Armor is split into sub-categories, and you can mix and match pieces,” Gamble says. “Helmet, shoulders, chest, legs. You can have different pieces from different sets.”

19. On the graphical front, the CG trailers for the original trilogy are what the team uses as a reference for what it is trying to accomplish now in real-time.

20. You pick up additional Tempest crew members on your journey.

21. While the game isn’t zany, the tone is lighter compared to Mass Effect 3. “I think there’s a bit more humor,” says producer Fabrice Condominas. “I think everybody takes it a bit less seriously in the tone of the dialogue. The characters are different – they’re younger, and you feel that in the tone.”

22. You don’t have to start New Game+ after finishing the game. You can just keep exploring once the final mission is complete.

Re-thinking the Stark Siblings: Pt: 1

Ultimately, A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones is about family. The primary relationship is it exploring is that of siblings. Of sisters as seen in Sansa and Arya Stark, or brothers as seen through Tyrion and Jaime Lannister, the Baratheon brothers, and brother-sister relationships in just about every family the Lannisters, the Starks, the Tyrells, the Martells etc. On multiple levels, this story is a political thriller, a medieval action flick, a zombie apocalypse, and a family drama. So often the family part is the part that is forgotten. Yet, this might be the most important part of the whole story.

On the surface, it is easy to say Robb and Sansa are alike and Jon and Arya are similar. This misses the point about families. It misses the point about siblings. They are all alike and all different at the same time. Surface level when it comes to Westerosi expectations, you would pair Robb and Sansa and Jon and Arya.

Digging into their personalities, we get something much different. Arya is the heir to Cat’s personality. Really, so far she is the only Stark that can claim this. Robb seemed very Tully in some ways. One could imagine him as being a young Hoster Tully with a little Ned sprinkled on top. Granted Hoster Tully would nott have messed up a marriage alliance…So maybe Robb has a bit of the Blackfish in him too.  This is hard to fully determine because there are not any Robb POVs. It could also be said that Bran has a bit of Cat in him too. On the other hand, Sansa and Jon both have more of Ned in them.

Sansa and Jon are initially set up as the polar opposites of the Stark siblings. She points South and he points North. What do we know about the poles? They are both cold and snowy. Lot’s of people talk about the two characters similarities, love of romantic stories, inwardness, occasional coldness. Some of their negative traits are similar too, they are both a bit snobby and show-offs when it comes to what they are good at. Let’s not forget when Jon is training at the wall, he looks down on some of the other recruits and tries to show them up. Sansa for her part certainly looks down on Arya. They are also willfully blind when it comes to seeing the dangers that they face. Or maybe they see them but don’t know what to do about them. So it’s easier to hope things will turn out ok. It, of course, does not.

Much of Sansa’s arc after leaving King’s Landing is about her becoming Jon’s foil. It is hit over the head again and again. We are not allowed to forget that everyone thinks she is a bastard. This is not as another writer said her Littlefinger training montage. It is Sansa’s transformation back into a Stark. It is Sansa becoming Jon 2.0.  In her sample TWoW chapter, she is even sat in a corner at the feast drinking wine because she is a bastard. This is reminiscent of Jon’s chapter at the feast in AGoT.

She has been ridiculed, beat, and ridiculed again. Why? Why go to such an effort to show us this? To take her down several notches and to continue to do so. We won’t get an answer to this until the show ends and the books come out. One guess could be that it is so the audience knows that Sansa knows she is a Stark. That we empathize with her desire for her home. That we believe that her desire to work with Jon to reclaim Winterfell is genuine.

I really hope Olenna will have a scene with Cersei, and as Cersei will cheer for murdering her whole family and humiliating her grandson in such a tremendous way before killing him, Olenna will smirk, telling her she was the one who killed her firstborn son.

And she never even suspected it.

Im seeing people say things like “please bring MCD back, Jess!!” Or complaining about this whole mess or even questioning why they can’t still continue this series. But if you look at the youtube channel you can see why they made this decision.

Most would over look this because these are a bunch of big numbers, but just consider comparisons. Look at the highlighted view counts of the other series outside of the box, then look at the one i marked.

Mystreet episodes get almost 2 times more views than MCD. An animated Mystreet video has almost 4 times as many. A random fucking game that isnt even close to how serious MCD gets has a thousand more views. That is a big difference.

It isnt making them money. Money from youtube comes from number of views and ads seen on videos. When it comes to Jess, a person who has a whole crew and families relying on THIS CHANNEL to bring food to the table, is it better to continue what makes half as much money or almost double that amount?

I know that the recent episodes havent reached their 500k view mark either, but those are RECENT. these videos on this image are a month old. A video of Mystreet thats only 3 days old is growing in a faster rate and getting more than MCD, whos view count growtg is slow.

If it takes MCD 1 month to get 529k but a Mystreet episode 3 DAYS to get to 612k, then it is telling the crew that we dont want MCD.

Jess and her crew cant read each individual message or rant about wanting MCD to stay. If anything what we say is pointless considering the fact that we ourselves dont show the crew that WE WANT THIS AMAZING SERIES TO NOT BE TAKEN AWAY. Not just us individually, but the whole fandom in general. The only thing they can see from us is how many times we watch the series. Compared to Mystreet, MCD is only minority.

Its pointless to beg for MCD to stay if we dont show it ourselves as the whole fandom that we want it to stay. We ourselves want MCD to stay, but does the fan base want to?

This is unfortunately how business works. Thats all what youtube is: a business

Imagine Weiss trying adjust to living with Ruby and Yang on Patch. The poor thing would get so much love she wouldn't know what to do with all of it.

This is a fic I have wanted to write but haven’t gotten around to. Weiss not having anywhere to go like…during a summer break from Haven (assuming they enroll there, which I hope they do) and going back to Patch with Yang and Ruby. I’d throw Blake in there too for team unity purposes but to see Weiss living the small town life, but also like…seeing a family dinner filled with conversation and laughter. Then game nights and quiet mornings with breakfast and Taiyang randomly deciding that they should all camp in the front yard and him telling her she makes one hell of a campfire and Weiss not knowing how to handle it so she goes off on her own to cry and Yang finds her and tells her that this is the kind of love she has deserved her whole life.

I have imagined these things many times lol.

Bionicle Drinking Game

Can be played with the written media or movies, fun for the whole over 18 family! Probably don’t play this with alcohol, you will die. Feel free to add your own rules, this is just to get you started.

Every time someone mentions Unity, Duty, or Destiny, take a sip.

Every time the Turaga lie, finish your drink.

Every time someone “foils” Teridax’s plans, finish the bottle

Every time a main character dies, feel your heart implode into a burning singularity of tears and feel crippling sorrow whenever you think about it for the rest of your days.

This isn’t a judgement, if anything I’m jealous, but it still blows my mind that there are people whose parents bought/buy them gaming systems and video games and stuff, like video games were NOT prioritized enough in my family for my parents to spend that kind of money on them, even when we were rich, and even now as much as I love gaming its really hard for me to spend so much money on games; its like its ingrained in my mind that its a waste of money. That’s why I pm only play on my computer and buy games on steam that cost as much as a fast food meal. I have to wonder if anyone else has similar experiences and that’s why they pc game or play games on their phone and nothing else

If you could give one theme to gmw as a whole series (vs per season like the writers have), what would it be?

Identity vs Role Confusion (from Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development)

The series even opens with the whole internal civil war metaphor. We see Riley prioritizing friends more than family (Father, Game Night). We see good identity development, where the character’s changes are embraced and weave together to form cohesive identity (Farkle, see particularly his talk with Topanga in Bear). We see those who don’t really explore different identities as freely (Lucas and Maya), which is more on the path to role confusion (but I think a S4 would get them back on track to identity) etc. We see Maya straight up reference this whole stage of life (“I’m a teenager. No teen knows who they are”). We see Lucas try and explore a new identity (Mr Perfect) even if it doesn’t totally pan out. We see Riley and Maya limit their own identity explorations by constantly thinking of themselves as this permanent static dichotomy of good/bad, even though it’s not true.

The whole show is really about the development of identity during adolescence (and the season themes: friendships, growth, feelings, change/loss–these all contribute to that).

When voicing Revali, did you have to come up with a backstory for him? Not much of it at all is mentioned in the game, so did you imagine him with a family or friends or anything of the such? Thanks! You did an awesome job dude

This is actually where the whole Ravioli Bird/Spaghetti Crow nicknaming stemmed from, because for the longest time I thought they were actually Rito brothers (similar body type/look) with conflicting personalities; Teba believed success came from the self via hard work and serious focus, whereas Revali believed success came from others by convincing them to agree that you are incredible.

This directly played into my vocal representations of them as well - extravagant and heavy on the emphasis for Revali; short, stacatto, and fairly curt for Teba.
