4 Clip Key Ring - Daiso, $2.80 AUD.
@ambiguouspieces pointed this one out for me when we met up in Melbourne last Tuesday. It’s ideal for both stim toy crafters–especially those of us who make our own beaded fidgets–and collectors, since most of us end up with a few different things that can be attached to a keychain.
(There’s a lot of toys that are keychain suitable; check out this search for a heap of posts on toys that will easily attach. I’ve used roller bead fidgets, squishies, beaded geckos, spring cables, Tangle Jrs and hedge balls/creatures, but anything that can be threaded through a split ring in some way will work. Edamame poppers, chain fidgets, Prism’d fidget cubes…)
It does result in a bulky key ring, but it’s great for keeping toys together and having them within easy reach, and there’s plenty of smaller toy options for those concerned about clicking, banging, rattling or clashing. It can be also used to make space for a toy or two on a key ring that holds keys, too, or anything else people need to attach to a keychain or lanyard.
I modified mine by using one of Daiso’s stimmy spring cables to attach a coiled Tangle to the base of the dog clip, while using the carabiner-style clip that came with the cable to attach the key ring loop to something else (belt loop, bag, zipper, lanyard). I’ve got mine hanging on a hook by my door so it’s easy to grab as I leave, and while attaching them to a belt loop isn’t subtle, it’s great for having toys in an easy-to-grab location while walking or travelling.
