It was only 6 in the morning on a Saturday as you made your way to the bakery you currently worked at. Since it was literally down the street you always made the short trip there by walking. The fall air was slightly chilly but still nice since you were in a cozy cardigan. As you entered the building, the warmth and sweet smell of pastries fills your senses and the whole familiarity has you smiling to yourself. This place was like your second home. After moving to the city a couple years ago, you often stopped by before heading to your university. It was a pleasant getaway from all the stress you’ve accumulated in your life mainly because you simply adored the staff and most of the fellow customers that came. You eventually came to learn that the handsome guy named Seokjin, who was slightly cocky yet still humble, was the owner and he ran this place with two of his friends, Taehyung and Jimin. Soon enough, you recently became an employee yourself and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Pete’s coffee was busy this morning, muggy Queens weather seemed to bring all the business workers out of their homes, craving to get their hands on some fresh brewed coffee, which was in fact made everyday.

However, this made your job twice as hard, not only did you have to take everyone’s orders, but you had to create their drinks at the same time, and everyone knows nobody wants to keep an agitated coffee drinker waiting for too long.

“Hi, welcome to Pete’s Coffee what can I get you?” You smiled at the lady who was looking up at the menu, as you tapped your pen against the counter.

“I’ll have a small Espresso please.” She smiled, as you wrote down her order on your notepad before punching it into the cash register.

“That’ll be six dollars and fifteen cents please.” You grabbed the receipt as she handed you the money before going and sitting down at a table.

As you were creating her drink the phone rang, making you groan in frustration, if only you had more than two arms.

“Carly can you grab the phone, I’m in the middle of something!” You shouted into the back room, before seeing Carly rush past you an answer the phone.

“Hi, this is Pete's Coffee can I take your order?” You heard her speak into the phone, you quickly finished up the ladies order, handing it to her and wishing her a nice day.

You then walked back over to Carly who looked like she was about to lose her mind.

“Give me the phone would ya? Go take someone’s order I’ll handle this.” You sighed, clearly annoyed that she couldn’t take phone orders by now, she had been working here for two months, you’d think she’d be able to do one simple task.

“Hello? Is anyone there?” The voice over the phone spoke, making you snap back into reality and grab your notepad.

“Yes! Hi sorry, we changed who was taking your order, now what can I get you?” You asked, prepared to write down whatever they requested.

“-Oh! -Uhm, okay! I’ll uhh.. I’ll have the Vanilla Caffé Latte to go please.” The boy over the phone spoke as you swiftly wrote it down on the note pad.

“Alright, would you like a small, medium or large sir?” You questioned again, glancing up to see the shop starting to fill up once again.

“Oh lord, I-I always forget that part, -Uhm, I’ll take a medium please,” He paused for a moment, some other guy was shouting at him in the background before speaking again, “-and that drink does come with foam right?” The boy questioned, making you roll your eyes slightly, thankful he couldn’t see you.

“Yes, it does come with foam, now what kind of milk would you like?” You pressed on, praying he wouldn’t order anything else, you didn’t have time for this right now.

“-Right! Uhm, I’ll try the Almond milk today, thank you. -OH! -And also, can I have the Maple Chicken Sausage breakfast sandwich please? That will be all.” The boy quickly rushed out, as you nodded, once again knowing full well they couldn’t see you as you wrote down the last of their order.

“Alright, your total is eighteen dollars and thirty-five cents, your order should be ready in ten to fifteen minutes.” You replied into the phone, hearing him say ‘thank you!before hanging up and going to create the order.

You looked at what you had written down, creating the Latte, adding some whip cream on top, before creating the sandwich, you then placed them on the counter, your eyes widening in realization.

You never asked them their name, how would they know it’s their drink?

You continued helping other customers when the bell to the shop rang, signaling someone had entered. You glanced up, seeing the boy from the other day, everything clicking in your head. You quickly grabbed your sharpie, rushing over to his drink, scribbling down ’Caffé Parker’ on it before bringing his order to the front.

“Caffé Parker! I should have known it was you.” You smiled, watching as the shy smile returned to his face, his brown eyes locking with yours.

“What can I say, I like coffee,” He laughed, before glancing around the shop, “Busy today, yeah?” He attempted conversation, making you laugh slightly before nodding.

“Yeah, whenever the weather gets like this, the place gets pretty packed.” You admitted, taking the money he was handing you, while mumbling a small ’thank you.

“Anyways Caffé Parker, here’s your order,” You teased, handing him his drink and breakfast, which he responded with a slight eye roll and a smile. “Like I said before, it’s Peter.” He chuckled, before walking away from the counter.

“Oh by the way,” You shouted, catching his attention, “You gave more than you needed to last time!” You called out to him, watching as a tiny smirk appeared on his lips.

“That was the idea!“ He shouted back, before disappearing out the door and down the street, leaving you in bewilderment.

You didn’t even notice he had done it again.

Barbie (Chapter 8)

Chris Pine X Reader.

Summary: What started as a simple date ended as a failed romance. Or has it truly failed?

Warnings: Cursing, as per use.

Authors note:  Everyone whose been reading this knows of Mr. Beau who has been playing a semi large in Y/N and Chris’ relationship. In All honesty, introducing him was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I had this idea and i couldn’t figure out how to properly execute it. I got a message actually asking what he looked like and i could describe it but i wanted a face claim? So, to google i went and after like six days of random descriptive words placed together, i discovered, Ryan Gosling in ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’ (The Irony) where he played Luke. Haven’t seen the movie? Well… neither have I. But that doesn’t matter, we’re just stealing this character.

But this is what he looks like as well as whom Mr. Beau is:

And Chris Pine… obviously looks like Chris Pine.

Chapter 1. Chapter 2. Chapter 3. Chapter 4. Chapter 5. Chapter 6. Chapter 7. Chapter 8.  Chapter 9.

You called out of work the next day, claiming you’d come down with a nasty cold and didn’t want others to catch it when in actuality, you were a mess. Physically and mentally. You sata on your couch, dried tears crusted on your face while you scooped Ice cream directly out of the tub into your mouth.

It was not a pretty scene but right now you didn’t feel pretty. Now, you felt worthless. Like everyone else in the world got happy endings but you. You screwed up your relationship with Chris by allowing your insecurities and jealousy to get ahead, he left without question and suddenly your alone.

The relationship chewed you up and spit you out.

The television was playing in front of you but you barely paid any attention to it, a woman with a Brooklyn accent and large hooped earrings was shouting about her ‘baby daddy’ and her new boyfriend. It was ridiculous.

“My boyfriend… he ain’t care no more. He be all up in my business thinking I love my baby daddy.” She whined, tossing her hands up in the air for no reason.

“Oh, Jesus, woman. Who cares! Just leave him!” You shout at the television in anger. “Poor girl got two boys who don’t deserve her meanwhile my boyfriend was off trying to get someone pretty, bustier; taller and probably was better in the sack than me but dear god, your poor little boy and baby daddy trouble are much worse.” It sounds like you’re drunk or at least hangover which is not the case, surprisingly. You had one drink unfortunately and then you realized your supply of alcohol was out which caused you to change to Ice Cream. Thankfully, you had a carton and half left of chocolate ice cream which was helping to sooth the pain of heart break.

It was September 3 when I had to leave the orphanage I had been in my whole life. I am glad to be leaving it. There was no peace there, only hatred, but only for deformed people like me. My deformity is that I have an extra finger on other side of my hands. The orphangage tried to put me through school but I got thrown out because I was ‘scaring’ my classmates. After that I taught myself. I never knew what it felt like to love. I wanted to but it was never there for me. When I first left the orphanage to get some food they insisted I put gloves on and I did because I was ashamed to look this way and the gloves covered that. I still wear the gloves and I have I feeling that I will have to all the time if I want to find a place to live. I have no clue where I am going, but hopefully there is a place near Jupiter, Florida, where I am accepted.

I walk down the street with my gloved hands in my pockets. I stumble upon a nice looking diner. I take my hands out and make sure that my gloves are on tight. I also take out my wallet to see how much money I have. I look through and I find that I have about thirty to thirty-five dollars. I finally open the door to the diner and walk in. I look around and I find a spot near the corner of the bar. I take a seat and see a very attractive guy sitting next to me a couple seats down. I look over to look at him and he winks at me. I blush immediatley.

I look back forward when a waitress comes over to ask me what I would like to eat.

“Hi, what would you like to eat?” she said.

“HI, I would love your pot roast please!” I said with a smile on my face.

“Alright! Coming right up sugar.”

I wait patiently while tapping my finger back and forth on the counter. The man that winked at me earlier came behind me and sat down next to me. I pulled my gloves on tighter so there wasn’t a chance of them falling off.

“So what is a pretty girl like you doing sitting here all by herself?” He asked.

“I don’t know, but whatever it is you should probably go away too. I’m not like other girls.” I said letting him down so it would save the heart break.

“Well what if I told you I wasn’t like other guys? That I was different?” He said.

“Then I would say that you’re full of it.” I said turning to the side and looking straight into his eyes.

“The thing is that you—” He was interupted by the waitress placing my food down infront of me.

“Thank you.” I said then turning back to eat my food. The man soon left knowing that I wasn’t going to give in. It was a good fifteen minutes after he left that I finished eating. The waitress came back around and picked up my plate. She soonly came around again to drop off the check. My total was three dollars and fifty cents, I took out my wallet and payed for it. I stood up, readjusting my gloves again. I walked to the door and said thank you before I left. When my body was fully outside there was harsh wind that made me shiver. A group of men were waiting in the alleyway, catcalling me.

“Hey pretty darling! Why don’t you come over here!” the drunken man shouted. I continued to walk down the street and ignored them.

“Why aren’t you over here yet? Is there something wrong with you? You come from the freak show just a couple miles down the road?” Another drunken man said. Wait! Did he just say freak show? I need to go to there! Maybe they will let me be apart of their show! Maybe I’ll finally have a family like me!

I started walking even faster hoping that I would be able to stay there and maybe even be apart of it. I walk a couple more minutes until I hear this motorcycle engine rev up near me. I start walking faster with my hands in my pocket. I hear the engine slow down as it comes near me. My heart is beating out of my chest not knowing what is going to happen and not knowing who is on the motorcycle. I see the motorcycle pass and I let my breath out. I keep on walking into the woods that surround the road. I see a sign that says “Welcome to Elsa’s Cabinet of Curiosities” I hope that this is it. I turn down the dirt path and follow it until I see a whole group of tents bunched together. ‘This MUST be it!’ I walk to the field and look to see if anyone is around. I see a lady with blonde hair and a rose in her hair. She is wearing all red. I approach her.

“Zhat vould be me fräulein.” The obviously German lady tells me.

“Hi Ms. ….”

“Mars. Elsa Mars. You?”

“(Your Last Name), (Full Name) .Anyways, Ms. Mars, I was wondering if you had room for one more person in your show.”

“Let me guess another teenage runavay vanting to join zhee circus, huh?”

“No m’am. I came here because I have no where to go. The reason why is because of my deformity.”

“And vhat vould zhat be?”

“I have an extra finger on both sides of my hands. So I have twelve fingers instead of ten.”

“How do I know you aren’t just telling me zhis? Show me your beauty.” I pull my hands out of my coat pockets. I continue to take off my glove showing Elsa my hands. I move my fingers around showing her that this isn’t just a magic trick.

“Oh my! Zhis is just vhat I needed! Danke, danke for coming to me. Ve vill get your tent up and ready for you to stay here!” She runs away getting a two men to help her put up my tent. “While you are here, go ahead and meet everyone! First let me call them for you, My MONSTERS, come out and meet your newest addition. All of a sudden all of these people start coming out of their trailers and tents and start approaching me. Elsa stands behind me with her hands on my shoulders.

“Everyone meet our newest addition (Y/N)! She will be with us in the show from now on. I want everyone to treat her nicely, I don’t want this one left out. That is all now introduce yourselves!” A tall woman and a woman on her shoulders step up and hold out thier hand.

“Hi I’m Amazon Eve and this Ma Petite. I’m glad you could join the show! I can’t wait to be friends with you.” She and Ma Petite sweetly smile.

“Thank you! I can’t wait to friends with you too!” I took her hand and shook it. Then a man with shortened arms approaches me and takes his hat off.

“Hello I’m Paul. I’m glad we could add another great person to this show.”

“Thank you .” I say.

Then a woman with a beard walks in. She approaches me and has her hand out for me to shake.

“Ethel Darling. It is so nice to meet you. I hope you enjoy it here and I am glad you came to the right place.” She said with a huge smile on her face.

“Thank you. It is so nice of all of you to warmly welcome me when I am so new.”

Then a man and woman entered with dresses on.

“Pepper! Salty! Come play with us!” they said then grabbed my hands and we spinned in a circle. I start laughing a lot because seeing them happy is the best thing that you could wish for them.

We start spinning a lot faster and I lose my balance. I close my eyes awaiting for the impact but it never comes. Instead I feel two strong warm arms wrap around me. I look up and am met with the eyes of the man I met at the diner. I stand up immediatley and adjust my dress.

“It’s you from the diner!” I said while pointing my finger at him.

“And its you from the diner!” He says with a confused look on his face. “What are you doing here anyways?”

“I am here because I just joined the freak show.” I say,

“No Elsa just doesn’t let a stupid teenage runaway join the show.”

“Well she must keep her word because she didn’t.” I hold up my hand showing him my twelve fingers. “What are YOU doing here?”

“I live and work here. My ma is the bearded lady and I am ‘Lobster Boy’.” He holds up his hands showing me his conjoined fingers.

“So I guess you were telling the truth when you said that you weren’t like other guys.” I said.

“Yeah and you were telling the truth about being different than other girls. Jimmy. Jimmy Darling.” He says while winking at me and smiles.

I blush again.

“How about we go for a walk? I would love to get to know you more!” Jimmy says.

“I would love that. Maybe you could show me around camp aswell?” I ask. Jimmy and I arrive at a broken down Ferris Wheel where we sit down to talk.

“Of course.” We start walking and he asks, “How did you get here? To Jupiter I mean.”

“Well my parents gave me up as soon as I was born. They didn’t want a little freak like me running around. So they drop me off in an orphange. I think I have visited every school in Florida and they still kicked me out because I ‘scared’ my classmates. So I have just taught myself for all of these years. I have forvever been in an orphange and the one I was in let me be on my own when I was twenty-one. I actually just got out today and i walked into town and find the diner. Then after you left I went walking down the street when these catcallers asked me if I was from the freak show down the road. So that is how I came to this place. How about you?”

“Well I have been here since birth. I don’t know my dad, all I know is how bad he was to my mom. When my ma was pregnant he set up posters all over downtown saying ‘Watch A Freak Give Birth!” So I have been apart of the freak show scenery ever since I could remember.”

“Oh my gosh, I am so sorry Jimmy.” I say putting my hand on his forearm.

“Thank you (Y/N). It really means a lot to me. My girlfriend Maggie has been my rock for a little while now.” Girlfriend? Of course he is amazingly handsome man why wouldn’t he have a girlfriend!

“How long have you and Maggie been together?”

“A couple months actually. I think it’s getting pretty serious. We actually just talked about running away from here a couple days ago.”

“Oh, are you thinking of running away?’

“No. I couldn’t leave my ma or anyone in the show. They have been like my family so why would I want to run away from that?”

“You’re right. I have never thought about it that way. You’re lucky. You got to grow up with people like you instead of being alone.” Jimmy stopped walking and looked straight into my eyes.

“(Y/N), you never EVER have to be alone anymore. You’ve got us now.” Yeah, I wish I had you as something more. Jimmy showed me to my tent and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Three Months Later

I was insanely crushing on Jimmy. I wanted to tell him so bad but I was scared that I was going to drive him away. Yes Jimmy is still dating the brat Maggie. She didn’t like me at all. She said that if I ever approached Jimmy ever again then she would kill me. I also haven’t talked to Jimmy in almost three weeks. I am suprised that I am still going strong. I miss Jimmy. I love Jimmy.

I wake up and I rub my eyes to get the sleep away. I get up and get dressed. I get out of my tent and the first thing I see is Jimmy and Maggie kissing. I watched the ground instead of looking at the couple. Jimmy and Maggie stop and I see them walk over to where I walked to which was the dinning tent. I hear them being all lovey dovey and makes me want to throw up. I eat my cereal and then I go to the big even tent where the show takes place. I see Elsa with the new people which was Bette and Dot Tattler.

Since it was getting boring in there I started to walk around the camp. I start hearing two people talk. I walk to where the noise is coming from. I opened up the tent ‘door’ to find Maggie and this boy from town are kissing. I gasped and they both stopped and looked at me. I run away and start going to find Jimmy until Maggie pulls me into a tent.

“I swear to God that if you tell Jimmy I will break you.”

“Too bad. I will tell Jimmy because I can’t stand you doing this! He loves you for heaven’s sake. Any girl would be lucky to have him and you throw him away like he is nothing. You don’t deserve him!”

“And what you think you deserve him? Don’t try to hide that you don’t like him. I see the way you look at him. I will tell him if you tell him about me and Derek.”

“Whatever. I won’t tell him this time!” I walked away before she could say anything. I saw JImmy and I decided to run for my tent before he could reach me.

It was a couple hours after the little indescretion between me and Maggie happened and I once again found myself bored so I started wandering, again. I heared yelling and started to find the noise. I walked to a tent and opened the flap. I seceretly looked inside and saw Jimmy, Maggie, and Derek in the tent.

“SCRAM KID!” Jimmy said to Derek resulting in him sprinting out of there.

“Jimmy, baby calm down.” Maggie said.

“DON’T CALL ME BABY!” Jimmy yelled.

“I can explain everything. It isn’t what it looked like.”

“NO! I know exactly what it was. It was YOU cheating on ME! I actually thought that you were different and that you accepted me as who I am. I guess I thought wrong.”

“No Jimmy you didn’t. I love you.”

“Get out.”

“I said GET OUT! LEAVE! I DON’T WANT TO SEE  YOU ANYMORE! PACK ALL OF YOUR STUFF AND LEAVE! It was a bad idea in the first place to keep around town junkies.” I got out of there as fast as I could. I didn’t want Jimmy to find me and be mad at me. I ran quietly to the entertainment tent and saw Elsa.

“Elsa, I was wondering if I could sing a different song for tonight than I usually do. Is that okay?”

“Yes as long as it won’t scare my monsters.”

“Of course not.”

“Then you may sing it. I was going to tell you to sing a different song because it is getting old with your new song.”

“Okay Thank you!” Elsa just waved her hand in a ‘you’re welcome’ manner. I ran into my tent starting to get ready for tonight’s show. I put on my (Favorite Color) dress on and put my make up on. I got ready in two hours because I was making myself look especially nice because tonight in my song I was going to tell Jimmy my feelings. He always sits in the crowd when I’m singing. He says that he doesn’t want to miss a thing.

I got out of my tent and walked to the back entrance of the entertainment tent. I saw Elsa and ran to her.

“Elsa I need to hand the notes to Eve for my new song. Can I please go try to find her now?”

“Yes of course! Make this your best performance. We have a full house.”

“Yes i will do my best!” I walked away from her and went to find Eve quickly. I finally find her trying to put all her piano sheet music in order.

“Eve! These are my notes for the new song I am singing tonight okay? Don’t play the one you always do for me okay?”

“Of course. I will play this instead of the last one.” I hugged her as a thank you and then went to stand in line. I was behind Ma Petite and infront of Bette and Dot.

Ma Petite went on stage and then shortly came off. I heard Elsa introduce me to the crowd.

“And now I welcome an interesting girl with an amazing talent. (Y/N) (Y/L/N)!” I walk on stage and look around at the audience. I hear most of them mutter ‘Oh look she has twelve fingers!’ and ‘Magnificent!’ I had gotten used to it so I wasn’t bothered by then saying that  I look again and i see Jimmy staring directly at me similing. I smile back. I step up to the microphone and wrap my hands around the top so now everyone could see what some people were gawking at. I nod to Eve as in I’m ready to sing now. The melody starts off and I sing the song, Water.

“ It’s 10 past 2, still up thinking of you
If I showed you all I really want to
Would you stay, dare to push me away
I just can’t return anymore”
I look to see Jimmy’s face and he is staring as I stare back. “ Timid heart, hide my scars
Make me stronger
I can’t take this any longer
I need, I need you like water
It’s on the tip of my tongue
I’m not asking for much
Just your love and not another
Cause your embrace keeps me warmer
Could I tell you this time
How I wish you were mine” I
see Jimmy’s confused face as he realizes I am not singing my regular song but then he starts to smile as he realizes what I am singing about.” My voice cracks, I wait for it to pass
Heart beats fast for words I can’t take back
And so I pray I don’t drive you away
Cause I’m scared of what I have to tell you
Timid heart, hide my scars
Make me stronger
I can’t take this any longer
I need, I need you like water
It’s on the tip of my tongue
I’m not asking for much
Just your love and not another
Cause your embrace keeps me warmer
Could I tell you this time
How I wish you were mine
I’ll take you higher, take you high
I can make you come alive
Open your eyes, change your mind
I’ll take you higher, take you high
I can’t take this any longer
I need, I need you like water
It’s on the tip of my tongue
I’m not asking for much
Just your love and not another
Cause your embrace keeps me warmer
Could I tell you this time
How I wish you were mine
How I wish you were mine
How I wish you were mine”
I finish the song and the audience abrupts into applauses. I look to see if I can find Jimmy but I couldn’t. Someone taps me on the shoulder and I turn to see Jimmy.

“I know what that song is really about and let me just say, I love you too.” I smile when he says that. The spotlights us and Jimmy wraps his hand around my waist and pulls me close. He leans in closer and our lips collide. We stood on stage with the applause and ‘awws’ in the background as we share a kiss. We break apart and lean our foreheads together. Elsa comes on the stage and shoos us off.

“I have been waiting to do that since I first met you (Y/N).”

“Then what was the wait for?”

“I was in love with someone that wasn’t in love with me and that clouded my eyes from what was standing right infront of me. I love you (Y/N).”

“I love you too Jimmy.”

“How about we go to the diner in town and share a shake.”

“I would love that. Do you want me to get the gloves?”

“No. Don’t hide up your beauty.” He pecks me on lips. We both sneak out and get on his motorbike. I was in total bliss. I was dating my best friend and we were going to be together forever and nothing could stop us.

“Ned I don’t know if this is a smart idea, I literally just found out her name and I don’t want to screw this up.” Peter spoke nervously to his friend walking beside him, as Ned listened quietly.

Peter had told Ned what happened the last time he was in the coffee shop, how you showed him how to make a Cappuccino, how you let him stay after the shop closed up, how you even sat down with him at the table and had a coffee with him, and then to top it all off, you finally told him your name.

“Do you think it’s obvious that I like her?” Peter suddenly questioned aloud, making Ned snort out in response.

“Dude, you go to the shop almost everyday, you become a stuttering mess, and you leave her huge tips, I think it’s pretty obvious.” Ned smirked slightly, as Peter let out a groan and rubbed his face.

“This is a mistake, what am I doing? Why am I taking you here with me?” Peter rambled, as they approached the one and only Pete’s Coffee shop.

“Did she name this place after you? Cliché.” Ned teased, making Peter’s cheeks turn a light pink, he never really thought about the name of the shop that way.

Great, now he was even more nervous than he was already, thanks a lot Ned.

Ring. Ring.

“Hello! Welcome to Pete’s Coffee!” A man from behind the counter greeted, making Peter’s brows furrow, where were you?

You normally worked every morning, hence why Peter always took a trip in the morning before school started.

Ned finally walked up to the counter, leaving a confused Peter behind him, before he realized he was standing alone like an idiot in front of the door.

Embarrassed enough already, he caught up to Ned at the counter, where he was ordering a simple Espresso and a breakfast sandwich.

“And for you sir?” The man looked at Peter, a kind smile on his face with a pen and notepad in his hand.

“O-Oh, right, yes, uhm, may I have The Black Tie please?” Peter spoke casually, it was a bit easier to talk to someone other than you, mainly because you made his heart beat so fast he felt it in his throat.

“What size would you like sir?” The man, whose name was Joshua questioned again, as he waited for Peter’s response.

“Right! Uhm, I’ll have a medium please,” Peter looked up at the menu, "Hey you guys added some new things to the breakfast menu.. nice.“ Peter commented, making Joshua laugh, nodding in response.

“Indeed we did, people have been loving our breakfast so we added a few new items, would you like anything?” Joshua questioned, looking between Peter and Ned, who was waiting for his order.

“Yes, actually, I-I’d love to try the Bacon and Cheddar breakfast sandwich please.” Peter smiled anxiously, his hands fiddling with one another.

“Alright, that will be fifteen dollars and thirty-six cents.” Joshua placed the order, as Peter handed him the money, before waiting with Ned for their food and drinks.

“I guess your girl isn’t working today.” Ned shrugged, glancing around the small shop, as Peter bit his lip.

Peter eventually nodded in agreement, coming to terms with the fact you just weren’t here, and it really bummed him out, he was looking forward to see you.

Maybe him asking for your name scared you, and that was why you weren’t working your normal shift.

Maybe you just didn’t like Peter the same way he liked you.

His train of thought got cut off by the sound of the bell ringing above the door, his focus now seeing who had entered, his eyes widening slightly.

It was you.

“Sorry! Sorry I’m late!” You muttered, looking at your coworker with a sheepish smile, as Joshua shook his head and laughed.

“It’s fine, just come back here and help create their order alright?” He smiled, as he motioned to the two waiting for their food and drinks.

Your face lit up at the sight of them, even if you did look like an absolute mess, seeing Peter made up for it.

“Hey Caffé Parker!” You smiled, walking over to him, making his heart beat speed up.

“H-Hey.” He stuttered, making you smile, you weren’t going to lie, Peter was adorable, and the fact you made him nervous was a bonus.

“Hey I’m Ned, Pete’s best friend.” Ned introduced himself, putting his hand out so you could shake it.

“Hi, I’m Y/N, nice to meet you Ned.” You smiled, shaking his hand before giving a small wink at Peter, before disappearing into the back to change into your work uniform.

“Damn, now I get why you come here, she’s gorgeous dude, and it’s clear she has a thing for you too.” Ned teased, making Peter roll his eyes as he sat down at one of the tables.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Peter shrugged, playing with a napkin as Ned sat down across from him.

You soon reappeared out from the back, your uniform on as you looked at what Joshua had wrote down, a smile on your face as you read Peter’s order.

“How original.” You mumbled, unaware that Peter could hear you due to his Spider-Man abilities.

You then helped create their order, before taking their drinks and food over to them.

“Okay so, I’m gathering the simple Espresso is for the lovely friend of Caffé Parkers,” You teased, making Peter smile nervously as Ned grinned, nodding, “And The Black Tie is for the one and only Caffé Parker?” You questioned, a teasing smile on your lips as Peter nodded.

“And here are your breakfast sandwiches, they’re really good just an fyi.” You smiled, before taking the tray and walking back behind the counter, explaining to your coworker why you were late.

“Seriously?” Joshua questioned in shock, as you nodded, leaning against the counter.

“I don’t know how it happened, one second I’m walking to work and the next I’m being stalked by some creep and then out of nowhere I’m basically being kidnapped, but thankfully I packed pepper spray and got away.” You breathed out, an anxious expression on your face.

Peter however heard all of this, his jaw clenching at the thought of someone trying to harm you and kidnap you in broad daylight.

“You alright dude?” Ned whispered, seeing Peter’s tense expression, making him snap out of his daze.

“Someone tried to kidnap Y/N, that’s why she was late, I knew I felt off this morning but I couldn’t place it, and now I know why.” He muttered, taking a bite of his sandwich.

Ned and Peter continued to stay at the shop until they were finished, Ned excusing himself to the bathroom, giving you a chance to talk to Peter.

“Hey brown eyes.” You smiled, making his face light up and his cheeks warm at your comment.

“H-Hey Y/N.” He stammered, a soft smile on his face as you sat down in the seat across from him.

“So I found out from a little birdy that you were looking for me this morning.” You smiled, making his eyes widen and his cheeks turn redder.

“I-I, Uhm, I mean, y-yeah?” He shrugged, a smile on his lips, making your face heat up slightly.

You quickly grabbed his cup, scribbling something on it quickly before handing it back to him, your hand gently moving a curl out of his face.

“See you around.” You winked, before disappearing back behind the counter, leaving Peter stunned.

“I leave for five minutes and I find you frozen like a statue, what happened?” Ned questioned, looking at Peter’s shocked expression.

You just gave him your number.

Momma, I want to do some adventuring but I don't wanna do crazy stuff like skydive or climb mountains. I also don't wanna do mundane things like try different meals at different restaurants. What's a nice middle ground ?

(I’m the one with the blue hair)

Woo! I love me some adventures. You don’t need to climb a mountain to go on a huge adventure- you could simply check out local  parks in your area! I live in a pretty big city, but this little patch of Asgard is bout a fifteen minute walk away from my house- and 90 per cent of people don’t know about it.

Are you not one for going on adventures without a map, or on your lonesome? Try geocaching! Geocaching is sort of like a treasure hunt, or a quest that you go on with a GPS. Bring a pen, some dollar store toys, and your phone. You can but a GPS or just download a geocache app.

You choose a cache in your area, and then use the GPS to go and find it! the cache will be hidden, and it is like a treasure hunt. There’ll be a  piece of paper inside, and you write your name on it to prove you found it! there might be some treasure, too, but remember to leave some toys and trinkets in return for the next person!

A/n: I apologise for the wait; there are just so many prompts being sent in and I’m trying to do them all. I mean, god, where do you guys come up with this stuff? Anyways, here is your request, anon. I changed it up a bit but the ideal is there, so I hope it’s all right. Fluff, inappropriate thoughts but lots of fluff and corny stuff. Slightly OOC—it just happened.

Coffee and Croissants.

Scott tried. He really did. But how was he supposed to just sit back and deal with the fact that someone was buying Dylan? He blamed it on being an alpha. That was reasonable. Alphas were supposed to be possessive of the people close to them. And Dylan was close to him.

He stopped at the atm, pulling the maximum amount - pretty much all the money he’d saved over the time he’d worked for Deaton - and went to the auction Dylan had told him about.

When Dylan came up for the auction, he wasn’t surprised at the number of people that started bidding for him. He waited, watching his competition closely as the number dropped away to the serious threats. As the bidding slowed d own, he pushed his way into the bidding, rashly raising the ante and initially causing all but two of the other bidders to drop out. A few more bids had one more gone, but his remaining competitor was almost as serious about getting Dylan as he was.

But Scott knew Dylan, knew his worth, and wasn’t about to give him up to some forty-something with a fake tan. The bounced back  and forth, the price climbing higher and higher with each bid, pushing past a thousand dollars which already had Dylan selling for over twice what the other bachelors had gone for.

“Fifteen hundred.” Scott bid, glaring at the woman who’d defied him so far. She sneered at him as she considered going even higher as the auctioneer called for higher bids. With a displeased huff, she turned to move away from the crowd and nurse her wounds as Scott’s bid was accepted by the auctioneer who applauded Dylan for earning such a large amount for charity.

Dylan had gone to the auction after his talk with Scott. Even if he’d been reluctant to do so before, after talking to Scott and getting the feeling that the boy liked him more than he wanted to say, Dylan wasn’t happy to be doing this anymore. It wasn’t about the money, or his own feelings, or his own worth–it was about Scott and how this upset him. Dylan was tempted to just turn around and go back.

But he did have an obligation to attend. He’d said he was going to, and by this point, he’d feel guilty if he didn’t show up. Groaning, Dylan slid out of his truck and walked inside. His Tarzan costume was drawing plenty of eyes, making him even more uncomfortable. A couple of older women wolf-whistled, and he blushed, hurrying behind the curtain to the bachelor’s waiting area.

After a few words about what was going to happen, the auction itself started. Dylan was number twelve, one of the last to go in the night. It made him jittery, and he had to stop himself multiple times from chewing on his fingernails. He kept scratching at his jaw, wishing he had his beard to cover himself up. Oh, and a blanket, for the rest of his nearly-naked body.

When his number was up, Dylan stood, shaking off the nerves and stepping through the curtain and onto the stage. He was introduced, asked a few innuendo questions–which he blushed his way through–before the bidding was opened up. He forgot what he was actually supposed to do during this part, so he settled for smiling at the crowd and bobbing his head occasionally.

The price started off low and steadily got higher than most of the other contestants’ bidding price. There went Dylan’s hope that no one would bid for him. A familiar voice rang out and Dylan’s head jerked, zeroing in on Scott McCall. He went head to head with one forty-something woman, the price hiking far past what he knew Scott could pay. His body became tense, and he wanted to jump off the stage and shake some sense into Scott. This wasn’t a joke, this was real money, and Scott would have to pay every cent by the end of the night if he wanted to leave.

He wasn’t even paying attention to the final number, just that it was Scott who won. The applause snapped Dylan out of his brutal stare, and he smiled a little as he retreated back behind the curtain. But before long, he was pushing his way out into the crowd, hand clamping down on Scott’s arm and dragging him to a quieter spot.

“What the hell was that, Scott?! You don't have fifteen hundred dollars!
