After his time with Adalynn he found JoAnna and asked if she’d speak with him in private as well. She gladly accompanied him.

When they got through the doors she quickly pulled him in for a hug. “I don’t know what you went through yesterday, but something says you need a hug.” Anwyl rested in that hug, it was the first human physical contact he had had since yesterday’s events.

Michoacán Boy Dreams of Studying at Harvard

Update [June 20, 3:30 a.m.]:

Harvard has reportedly not heard of Luis Roberto. Unclear if local media misreported story or if it’s a hoax. Stay tuned for developments.

Correction [June 21, 12:12 a.m.]:

The story of 10-year-old boy genius attending Harvard in the fall to study quantum physics appears to be another feel good story that went viral before any of the major news outlets — that helped it go viral — took the time to verify it.

On Thursday, officials at Harvard confirmed that Luis Roberto is not attending school there in the fall and that, in fact, they have not received an application for him.

Luis Roberto Sr. released a statement saying that his son is in the process of finishing high school, adding that he hopes Michoacán state officials can help his son realize his dream of studying at Harvard.

As of now, the only part of this story that seems consistent is that Luis Roberto is a very talented 10-year-old attending high school. It’s unclear whether Luis Roberto’s parents or a shoddy reporter is responsible for the misinformation. Apologies for our part in helping spread the story.

“So, actually, there is something I wanted to ask you about.”
“What’s that?” he asked.
“Yesterday, your friend Fanny mentioned something about you guys all being part of some project at your father’s company. What is that all about?”

“You know… at this stage, I don’t know that it’s eveny relevant.  I’m guessing the funding for that is going to be cut now that my dad….” he couldn’t bring himself to say the word “died”…. “Well, now that he’s gone.”

She looked down towards the ground.  “I just feel like I don’t have all the information I need for such a big decision.” she spoke. “I like you, I want to spend more time with you, get to know you, date you. It’s just I don’t feel safe taking a giant leap into the great unknown.”
“I understand.”

So, I screwed up and only took pictures facing Adalynn.  Sorry!
