Under the Same Sun. There is only eleven days until the Australian winter. Over the weekend I went for a hike (on a horse, it was awesome), and found this massive field, under the beginning of the Alps. Even though the sun was beaming down, it was surprisingly cold. I have been messing around with new ways to play the guitar, using rhythmic patterns influenced by guys like Xavier Rudd and Ben Howard. Really proud of how this has turned out, a combination of Under the Same Sun by Mr Howard and my own arrangements. Just look at the land, its amazing, vibrant colours against the ocean blue skyline.

Ocean by John Butler is an amazing and iconic song. I was a little apprehensive to record it and end up destroying the thing, but also excited to create my own arrangement. I worked on a few ideas over the last few months (breaking many nails in the process) until I realised I needed to stop procrastinating and just do it.

To record this session, my dad and I went for a hike, guitar and equipment in hand, through the dense bush, climbing under old barb wire fences, until we found this amazing piece of land. The sun was almost gone and evening was setting in, so we had to be quick before darkness, but I think the urgency was captured in this performance with the help of the Murrumbidgee River and the backdrop of the Alps.

Come my brother put your hands up,
Take your heart out,
Let go, Come let go

Come my sister can I hold ya,
Can I squeeze ya,
Let go, Come let go
