Okay but like please imagine Carlos taking Cecil to see the ocean for the first time. Cecil is just like “!!! So this is where the sky gods have been hiding our water!” And he runs in screaming “salvation!” and Carlos is just laughing at how adorable his bf is but as Cecil is splashing around he tastes some and he doesn’t know what saltwater is (why would he) so he starts yelling “Oh my god Carlos, it’s poisoned!! We’ve been tricked!!1! Don’t trust it!” and desperately tries to protect him from the tainted water

The weathers of Night Vale always have that special poetic-ness that I love which are hard to come by in most other songs today.

“You are just a confused child. Insecure or in denial.”
“I want trees instead of gravestones, nothing to confess.”
“Close to the point to where you know your mind, it can not choose.”
“Home was a dream, one I’d never seen until you came along.”

And of course

“Nothing but olives, mountains of olives. It was a good ten days…I like olives.”
