“A Castle on the Ocean” By Wataru Itou

“A Castle on the Ocean” is a paper sculpture built by Wataru Itou, a japanese, over the course of 4 years! Everything seen in the images below are cut and folded by the artist himself, made complete by the use of electrical lights and a moving train. Wataru Itou worked in his studio in Tokyo, which was not much bigger than the castle itself. We bet if he had a bigger room to work in, the sculpture would be much larger as well!

“Paper craft art installation by a genius of the name of Wataru Itou (伊藤航), a young student of a major art university here in Tokyo. The installation is hand made over four years of hard work, complete with electrical lights and a moving train, all made of paper”…  Text and image via Tokyobling
