The medieval city of Carcassonne, a beatuiful place. The cathederal was my favourite part, the stained glass was amazing.

the bottom picture is an art piece by a Swiss artist called Felice Varini, and is a celebration of the site’s 20 years as a Unesco World Heritage site. It’s foil, and will come of by september.

Concentric Concentric

Carcassonne in southern France 20 years ago was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To celebrate the anniversary Swiss artist Felice Varini was commissioned by France’s Centre des Monuments Nationaux to install a massive illusion of concentric yellow circles on the city’s border.
