The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing is soon coming to a close. The window officially ends on December 20th, but we are looking for just two more days of near perfect conditions to run the remaining rounds of the third and final event, the Billabong Pipe Masters. Today was another lay day but the Vans team is never short on good times. We’ve been taking you through our surf team’s favorite spots on the North Shore. Here are a few snaps with Tanner Gudauskas and his five favorite things to do there. Let’s be honest, smoothies and pies are pretty high on all of our lists.
We could not be more stoked for Leila Hurst right now. She just snagged the 2014 ASP wildcard into the Vans US Open of Surfing Women’s WCT, AND her first head-to-toe collection debuts this week! Leila designed the line to be full of go-to styles that can be worn on and off the beach. If you follow her on Instagram, you’ll know that Leila’s a super positive person who has fun everywhere she goes, and these designs reflect her sunny personality with cheerful prints and inspirational slogans. Get it girl—we’ll be cheering you on (in and out of the water) all week!
The Vans Triple of Surfing is coming to an end. Catch up with Vans Brazil’s Tomas Hermes to see how he spent his time on the North Shore and his five favorite things to do there. He might take the award for being the best at the backyard slack line, and he was also a pretty good sport about trying all the weird fruit we picked up on our trip with Leila Hurst. Don’t forget to tune in to the finals and see who will win the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing over the next two days.
We’ve loved Seea ever since we first laid eyes on their beautiful and feminine, and yet totally functional, surfwear. To introduce our latest collab with the California label, we caught up with their Brazilian-born designer and founder, Amanda Chinchelli, to hear more about the Seea story.
