September 26th is National Voter Registration Day.

For many states, it’s the last day you can register to vote on the upcoming November local ballots.

Voting local is voting for issues that impact you directly—quality of roads and public transportation, education for the next generation of voters, parks, public safety, minimum wage laws, local healthcare access, and so very much more.

Don’t let this deadline slip by. Millions of Americans were unregistered for last year’s presidential election. Millions of voices went unheard. We can’t let that happen again.

Missed it last year? Register. Changed your name or moved in the past year? Update your registration. Completely prepared and feeling good? Great. Now tell a friend to register.

This is how we take care of each other, Tumblr. This is how we start to change what needs to be changed. Get ready to vote.

Tomorrow is election day.

Reminder for Americans: 100 million didn’t vote, Trump is the result.

Please vote.

Update:  Well done, America!

Alabama you’re up next.  Country over party.  Doug Jones is good people, please vote.  We’re all rooting for you!

Good morning, America!

Today (November 7th) is Election Day which means that it’s time to get out and vote!

Voter turnout in non-presidential elections is never as good as it could be and that’s one of the reasons that our current administration is, to put it mildly, such complete and utter shit at the moment. Local and state elections are JUST as important, if not even more so, than presidential elections are because who you vote in at the local and state level will very often have more of an impact on your day to day life and the quality of your community than our President ever will.

So whether your state is electing a new governor today (such as my state of Virginia is!) or you’ve just got local stuff on the ballot, please know that ALL of the elections happening today and every year after this are important and your vote does matter!

If you are registered and able to vote please get to the polls and do so!

Voting matters. Don’t let any cynical, self-defeating, or pessimistic person tell you otherwise. Vote.

This is re: last night’s failed disaster of a Republican push for a “skinny repeal” of Obamacare, named as such because it would have stripped “only” 16 million of their healthcare. Hassan was one of the deciding votes against the repeal.

Net Neutrality is IMPORTANT

hey real talk tho the net neutrality thing is a huge issue and if you can’t call your govt officials feel free to text RESIST to 50409, give them your name and address and then send a cool letter. I’ll hit you with a hot write up from the web too homie i’ve got you check this out:

Dear Senators and Representatives:
Please support any amendment that would strike out Sections 628, 629 and 630 from the Government Appropriations. These sections would undermine the FCC’s Net Neutrality rules and prevent the agency from enforcing these critical protections. It is unacceptable to use a budget bill to circumvent the FCC’s open rulemaking process that millions of citizens participated in.

The American people have called for strong net neutrality rules. Congress should let the FCC do its job, and not engage in unproductive partisan brinksmanship.

Thank you,
